    We went on a family trip!

    Every year, our family travels to Toba. This year, our son wanted to stay here, so we made a Reservation in advance. Many of the staff seemed to be from overseas, but everyone spoke Japanese very well and the service was excellent. The welcome drink service right after entering the lobby was also great! Having ocean views from every room is wonderful. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were very delicious! We ate too much... It was a bit disappointing that the open-air bath required an additional fee. Also, there were a few showers where temperature control didn’t work well, so I hope they can be fixed. Overall, this is a Hotel I would recommend. I’d like to stay again. Thank you!

    The attention to detail is incredible!!

    Our three-generation family of six (including one junior high school student, one preschooler, and one family member with limited mobility) stayed for one night. When you called to confirm our Reservation, you kindly arranged a parking space close to the entrance for my mother and suggested meal times and a private open-air bath time that suited us. When we arrived, the parking spot was exactly as 안내—right in front of the entrance. My mother was thrilled. At dinner, our server was from overseas. They guided us with beautiful polite Japanese, noticed even small details, and treated our young daughter with great care. As we were leaving the dining area after finishing our meal, we passed a female staff member who stopped on purpose, bowed, and said, “Thank you very much. Please enjoy your stay.” It was so courteous it surprised me—in the best way—and I was impressed all over again. Every staff member had a wonderful smile! Overall we were extremely satisfied, but there were two small disappointments. When we first entered the Room, my daughter opened a sliding door and found futons stuffed in messily… Also, after the bedding had been laid out and I opened another door to get a hanger, fluffy floor cushions had been shoved in haphazardly (perhaps because there wasn’t enough space for six people’s worth?). Those two points aside—everything else felt like 120 out of 100—so it stood out as unfortunate. Still, this is a Hotel that made us want to come back to Toba as a destination! We definitely want to return. Thank you very much for taking care of us!

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay here. I was very satisfied with both the Room and the meals, and had a great time! If I had to mention one thing, the jacuzzi in the large public bath wasn’t running, and it was inconvenient to have to bring both towels and bath towels from the Room (especially since I used it quite a few times).

    Stunning seaside views and a delicious buffet

    We stayed for one night on a trip to visit Toba Aquarium. The view from the lounge just inside the entrance was truly breathtaking. The sea stretches beautifully to every corner of your sight, and your eyes are drawn to Mitsushima Island floating in the center. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and everything was delicious—we enjoyed as much as we could. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, so we would love to return at a different time of year.

    An exciting Hotel that will make your heart race!!

    When I visit Toba Grand Hotel, I feel a spark of excitement returning—something I’d almost forgotten—and my heart feels light and uplifted. At the dinner and breakfast buffets, both the quality and variety were highly satisfying. I was able to enjoy a relaxed time, and the menu featuring local ingredients was especially appealing. In addition to its great location, the views are wonderful, making the stay itself a special memory. On top of that, all staff were naturally warm and courteous, with just the right sense of distance in their hospitality, so I could stay with peace of mind. A Hotel that creates happiness—I'd love to visit Toba Grand Hotel again. I sincerely wish continued prosperity to the General Manager of Toba Grand Hotel and all staff members.

    Thank you—our whole family felt truly relaxed and refreshed.

    Every spring, we look forward to staying at Toba Grand Hotel. Since last year, our family has grown with a dog, so we stayed in the open-air bath guest room “Waon,” and this year again our whole family was able to relax and return home refreshed after a year of fatigue. We were a little disappointed by some changes and reductions in service—such as the welcome fruit no longer being offered and patissiere Seri’s dog cookies no longer being available—but overall it was a stay that soothed both body and mind thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff. Thank you very much. It’s a popular Hotel that becomes harder to secure a Reservation every year. We wanted to do a Multiple Night Stay in Waon this time as well, but unfortunately it wasn’t available. Even though we’ve only just returned home, our whole family is already determined to get a Multiple Night Stay Reservation for next year.

    It was great.

    We stayed here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The Room was clean, had a great view, and was very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style with a wide variety of menu items, and everything was delicious. We had no particular complaints. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

    A High-Quality Stay!!

    Whenever I visit Toba Grand Hotel, I can enjoy an exceptionally comfortable, high-quality stay thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff. The exciting buffet menu is truly inspiring! And there is no better place to Clear both mind and body than the open-air bath. Soaking up to my shoulders in the spacious tub and exhaling, the fatigue and stress that had built up seem to melt away into the waters of Toba Grand Hotel and disappear. I sincerely hope for a renovation of the open-air bath. I would also appreciate extending the complimentary welcome drinks service from 6:30 PM until 11:00 PM. If you could also work on making the game arcade more lively, I would be delighted. I feel sorry for asking so much of my beloved Toba Grand Hotel, but I would be truly grateful for your consideration. A hotel that creates happiness—Toba Grand Hotel! I will definitely visit again. Wishing continued prosperity to the General Manager of Toba Grand Hotel and all members of your staff.

    The bathroom and kitchen areas were extremely dirty.

    I used the bath in the Room. Although it claims to have a ReFa shower head, both the nozzle holes and the flexible hose section were covered in mold, which was awful. I had no choice but to use it, but it felt unpleasant the whole time. The buffet was not very good either—overall, it was disappointing.

    Most of the staff we...

    Most of the staff were from overseas, but everyone was very friendly. They greeted us and spoke to us politely at check-in, during meals, and even in the hallways, which felt wonderful. In particular, a male housekeeper at check-out stopped in the hallway, stood properly, bowed, and said “Thank you very much.” Seeing people with different languages and customs provide service at this level shows both their own effort and the dedication and character of those who trained them. The Room has been renovated, and you can enjoy the morning sun as well as an illuminated view of raft logs floating right in front of you at night. The much-talked-about buffet is well managed: staff control portions and quickly contact the kitchen, so refills are fast. Above all, they do not top up leftovers with new food on the spot; instead everything is presented neatly. There was also no situation where a popular dish was never replenished. Everything tasted great. It was also very helpful that there was a sheet on the table showing both the menu items and where each dish was located, so we didn’t have to walk around searching. Sushi is made to order, and the steak is freshly grilled—tender and delicious. However, it seems seating may be determined by Room grade. This time we stayed in a lower-priced Room, so for both meals we were seated at tables behind tall partitions toward the back. A window-side seat would feel much more open. The partitions made it feel a bit closed-in, which was disappointing—though I understand they may be intended to let guests dine without worrying about others. A few requests from here: The Wi-Fi signal in our Room was weak. At check-in we were given an explanation about Wi-Fi within the building, but we didn’t realize there was also Wi-Fi for the Room itself. We only noticed there was information inside just before check-out. This may have been our oversight; once we enter our Room we tend to relax and don’t check everything carefully. It would help if this were also written on the paper handed out at check-in. Also, beer in the lounge is paid (there is sake, wine, and shochu). If possible, it would be appreciated if beer could be included for free as well. All of the water temperatures in the large public bath felt lukewarm—especially the open-air bath (rotenburo), which was quite lukewarm. Because of that no one used it; even my husband who likes cooler baths said it was too lukewarm to get into. Lastly: The Room gets quite dry; humidifiers are available only by loan request. Also, unfortunately,the steam outlet on ours was quite dirty. For reference: The refrigerator does not have a freezer function.

    Toba’s top two!!

    To all fans of Toba Grand Hotel!! This is Captain Donguri. Once again, the entire staff provided the reliable, consistent service I expected, and thanks to your warm hospitality, I was able to spend a truly comfortable time. In particular, the [dinner / Onsen / breakfast / views, etc.] were wonderful, and they brought a smile to my face and soothed my everyday fatigue. This time, I had a new realization. I strongly felt that you are offering lifestyle innovation—providing us guests with new ways of living and spending our leisure time through innovative ideas and technology. From being a Hotel that creates countless smiles, you have raised the bar even further and become a Hotel that creates countless moments of happiness. Led by the two top Hotels—Toba Kokusai Hotel and Toba Grand Hotel—you continue to drive this forward. I have become an even more passionate fan of Toba Grand Hotel.     I felt refreshed.

    I stayed in a Room with an open-air bath and a full view. The Room was spacious, with a relaxing tatami area and a low table with chairs. Drinks in the Room (beer and soft drinks) were also available free of charge. In addition to the beds, there were futons, and the mattress futon was fluffy and very comfortable. All of the staff were polite. The Shuttle Service from Toba Station was also very helpful.

    We had a relaxing stay!

    My spouse and I stayed here on our way back from visiting Ise Grand Shrine. The welcome drink was great! I’d be even happier if there were a few more kinds of sweets. Our Room was called “Waraku,” and it was beautifully designed with a white color scheme, very spacious, and we weren’t bothered at all by the parking lot right below. The dining experience was also wonderful—international staff guided us smoothly and politely, so we could enjoy our meal comfortably. In the evening, there was an erhu performance, and I was moved hearing it up close for the first time. Breakfast was delicious as well—I had multiple refills of the French toast and sea bream ochazuke. Highly recommended! It was also nice that we could take coffee back to our Room. The Shuttle Service driver was very friendly both ways, and everything from start to finish made for a pleasant stay. The only issue was that the shower in the large public bath seemed old and water sprayed out everywhere (lol). Next time, we’ll bring our grandchild to stay as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    The dinner buffet was delicious!

    We visited to enjoy the dinner buffet. The spiny lobster, sashimi, and tempura were all fresh and delicious. Although the spiny lobster was smaller than expected, we had plenty and were satisfied. Most of the staff were foreign nationals, but they were friendly, kind, and left a good impression. The view from our room with an ocean view was fantastic due to the great weather. The scenery from the women's open-air bath offered a stunning ocean view; however, it seems that the men's side was enclosed and less impressive. We wondered if it might have been better reversed. The live performance in the lounge featured beautiful singing that moved us deeply. It would have been nice if drink service in the lounge continued during the show! This is an accommodation we definitely want to visit again next time. Thank you very much!

    Not bad.

    The Room was very clean, but it was disappointing that it did not have a view of the illuminated night scenery. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, had a wide variety and were good, but the steamed oysters and spiny lobster were small, which was disappointing. The additional dish service for the second night's dinner was appreciated.

    Amenities for each Room

    We used three Rooms for 3 people, 3 people, and 5 people this time, but we were disappointed as the treatment between the 3-person Room and the 5-person Room was different! For example, the shoe box in the 5-person Room was too small to use easily. The 3-person Room had drip coffee in addition to tea, but only tea was provided in the 5-person Room. Also, when someone from a 3-person Room visited the 5-person Room, they mentioned that it smelled unpleasant.

    The view from the lobby and guest rooms was stunning. During our stay, the staff's warm smiles made for a pleasant experience. This time was a winter trip, but I would love to visit again in another season.

    The dinner buffet we were looking forward to was disappointing. Breakfast seemed better. The view from the Room at night was beautiful with the rafts on the sea lit up.

    I have become a fan of Toba Grand Hotel!!

    Exceptional Hospitality Beyond Expectations!! The cuisine was absolutely delicious, making our trip incredibly satisfying and enjoyable. As a guest, I have a few suggestions: ① The lounge has such a wonderful atmosphere; it would be great if drinks could be served until 11 PM even on weekdays. ② It would be amazing to see the nostalgic game center revitalized with lively features like a vibrant festival corner! ③ A buffet featuring all-you-can-eat strawberries in spring and melons in summer would surely keep the excitement alive throughout the year. I understand there are compliance considerations for your staff, but I hope you can take these ideas into account. Thank you! Toba Grand Hotel always strives for innovation rather than settling for the status quo, which is truly inspiring. Let’s continue working together—guests, management, and staff alike—to make this hotel the best in the region. This is truly a hotel that spreads happiness with countless smiles.     Satisfaction that exceeds expectations!

    I watched YouTube and had high expectations for the meals and the room (pure white), and overall, it did not disappoint. So, I was made to promise my wife that we would stay here again next year.

    It was very disappointing.

    I was disappointed because I had high expectations for this accommodation. Stayed on the 13th. First, there were several vehicles that appeared to belong to construction workers in the parking lot, making me wonder if the place was even open for business. I managed to find an empty spot and parked. Carrying my luggage to the lobby, I was stunned by an unfamiliar scene. Staff and workers were cleaning the floor with mops and cleaning robots, completely unaware of our presence. Although it was an hour before check-in time, I had never encountered such a situation at any accommodation before. Moreover, as I sat on a chair in the lobby while staff hurriedly cleaned behind me, another guest seemed to inform them of something; then a staff member rushed over and wiped down my chair in a flustered manner. Shocked by this behavior, I looked at my back only to find it completely dirty—apparently from sitting on an unprotected chair. Additionally, due to ongoing construction work, the buffet venue had been relocated; while this is understandable under such circumstances, the new venue lacked sufficient space and made me nervous about bumping into trays carried by other guests passing by. The all-you-can-eat spiny lobster offering—a highlight—was enjoyable but some dishes were cold and tough which lessened their appeal. As for our room: there were many steps which might be challenging for elderly guests; furthermore, towels used at baths needed to be brought back into rooms but there wasn’t anywhere suitable provided for drying them properly inside rooms either! While towel racks existed they weren’t tall enough accommodating bath towels effectively nor did we have enough hangers available when attempting alternative solutions—it felt inconvenient overall. Despite these disappointments causing stress throughout our stay one positive aspect stood out—the exceptional hospitality displayed consistently among foreign staff members working here compared against relatively dry attitudes observed amongst Japanese counterparts instead! However given everything experienced during visit unfortunately we won’t consider returning again anytime soon…

    Thank you for the wonderful time!

    It was a spontaneous trip planned three days ago with my mother and pregnant daughter. Since my daughter is pregnant, we looked for a room with an open-air bath and found this place. The staff were very kind, and both the room and the food were excellent—we were completely satisfied!

    Mie Sightseeing: Second Night Stay

    Stayed here for the second night of our trip to Mie. The plan included breakfast and dinner. The Hotel staff were very friendly, and the meals were delightful with a variety of options like meat, Ise lobster, sashimi, and more. The meat was tender, and the tempura was freshly fried and delicious. The view was also amazing. However, there were some disappointing points. The toilet door in the Room was a sliding door, which made noise when family members got up at night to use it. Additionally, part of the bath mat provided in the Room had red stains on it—though it seemed clean—it felt unpleasant as we couldn't tell if it was blood? Lipstick? Nail polish? The food and service from Hotel staff were excellent overall; if these issues are addressed, this would be a wonderful Hotel to stay at!

    Thank you very much.

    We decided to take a sudden family trip to Toba and searched for a Hotel with a private open-air bath, which we reserved. The interior was clean, and the temperature of the open-air bath was just right; however, it was disappointing to find many hairs in the shower room and washroom. The buffet meals were of high quality and very satisfying, with semi-private spaces created for dining being a nice touch. However, the aging condition of the dining area and its odor detracted from the excellent meal experience, which felt like a missed opportunity. The open-air bath in the public bath area was comfortable. Thank you very much!

    Trip to Ise and Toba

    We had an elderly person with us, and we appreciated the thoughtful communication regarding parking arrangements.

    The view from the lounge is stunning.

    The view of Mitsushima and the beautiful scenery through the large window right after passing through the entrance curtain was breathtaking. Since we arrived early, we had lunch at a nearby shop and returned to the hotel to enjoy a welcome drink while admiring the view until check-in time. It was a relaxing moment. After completing the check-in process, there were no specific instructions, and guests were expected to find their way to their rooms independently. The elevator was small with only one unit available, leading to waiting times and inconvenience. We stayed on the Sakura floor in a 12-tatami room without an alcove or veranda, which felt cramped for our family of five. The bathroom was also small, making it more suitable for 2-3 people at most. Unfortunately, there was dust on the tatami mats, indicating that cleaning could have been better. The Onsen was average. However, both dinner and breakfast buffets offered a wide variety of dishes that were all delicious. Although most staff in the restaurant were foreigners—which surprised us—they spoke Japanese fluently and provided very polite service. Overall, while we enjoyed the location and meals greatly, considering the price compared to our experience, it felt slightly overpriced.

    Convenient access to Toba Aquarium!

    The space was very comfortable and not overly formal. I was delighted to see beer included as a welcome drink! I also appreciated that it was open until 6 PM. The buffet had a wide variety of delicious dishes, making the experience enjoyable. I heard there’s fishing gear available for rent (for an additional fee), and I wish I had known earlier so I could have checked in sooner to try it out! Next time, I'll do more research beforehand. Thank you for the wonderful time. I'll definitely stay here again when visiting Toba Aquarium!
