Tsugaru Inn Nandai Onsen Hotel Apple Land

The exterior gives the impression of a traditional hotel, but once inside, it feels like a bright and clean luxury Ryokan. The rooms and hallways have a touch of Showa retro atmosphere, yet everything is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The staff's hospitality is excellent. As for the meals, true to the hotel's name, there are many recipes featuring apples that were both enjoyable and delicious. However, the highlight was definitely the Onsen. The large public bath was almost always private whenever I visited, and the water quality was incredibly smooth—leaving my skin warm and moisturized after bathing. I also appreciated how they separated bathing areas for day visitors and overnight guests, which added to the special feeling of staying there. The welcome apple was not only delicious but also a charming idea that brought warmth to my experience. I would love to visit again!

The accommodation is very considerate towards guests with children. The highlight I would recommend to others is the food, which was absolutely outstanding. You can enjoy unlimited 100% apple juice as a welcome drink or during breakfast and dinner. Although the building itself is a bit old, air purifiers are available in the rooms for those concerned about house dust, making it satisfactory unless you are overly sensitive. The private open-air bath had water that wasn’t too hot; while those who prefer hotter baths might find it lukewarm, it was perfect for bathing with young children and very satisfying overall. One downside I noticed was that while there’s a refrigerator in the room, I felt strongly that having complimentary water would have been nice. Additionally, vending machines are only located on the first floor regardless of how high your room floor is, which I found inconvenient. I also noticed that water had been left inside the kettle in my room without proper maintenance; as a result, I chose not to use it even though I wanted to. Lastly, when leaving and loading my luggage into my car with many bags in hand, one of the female staff members simply watched without offering any help—though she did bow—it left me feeling slightly uncomfortable.Despite these minor negatives outweighing them significantly were all positives leading to an overwhelmingly high rating overall!
