    Relax in a stylish, sophisticated Accommodation for adults.

    We stayed on the 10th Anniversary Plan. It was a great deal, with a bottle of red wine in the Room and checkout extended until 11:00—such a good value. The welcome drink and snacks were also excellent! They even made iced coffee when we asked. The meal portions were just right for us, but big eaters might find it a little small. I wonder if refills of inari sushi were available? The roast beef was outstanding! The Crêpes Suzette had a wonderful orange aroma, and the performance was great too. The staff member prepared it with a lovely smile, but I did worry whether she might get burned. Maybe that’s why the dining area is kept slightly dim—because of this performance. Our Room was a twin, but it was different from the twin shown in the photos, which was a bit disappointing (I thought it would have beds on wooden flooring rather than carpet). The wallpaper design was quite bold. The sofa was on the small side, and we felt an ottoman or an extra chair would have made it more comfortable to relax. Middle-aged couples don’t really sit pressed together (haha). The bath area was compact but very nice. We appreciated the thoughtful service of tea and ice cream as well! However, perhaps to prevent steam from building up, the door leading to the open-air bath area was always left open—so I wondered whether insects might come in… and sure enough, we ran into one (a stink bug?). I really hate bugs, so my heart was pounding. That part was quite disappointing. I’ve mentioned various things, but overall it was a wonderful Accommodation where we truly felt their hospitality.     The meals were delicious, and this Accommodation offered excellent value for money.

    I stayed for one weekday night. The Popular Kaiseki Plan was 17,000 yen, and with the Point Discount it came to 14,540 yen. A taxi from Atami Station cost 1,500 yen. The Room is a bit old, but for this price I think it’s perfectly fine. Unusually, the Room had neither a shower nor a bathtub, but I didn’t need them so it wasn’t an issue. The food was delicious, and the female staff were friendly with great service. After that, a male staff member assisted us as well and he was very pleasant. I was surprised that the dessert was flambéed! Breakfast rice was also delicious! One thing I’d like improved is that the sake wasn’t very cold. Also, the Room is a bit too dark. If you plan to work in your Room, it might be inconvenient. Overall, for this price I’m very satisfied and would like to stay again.

    A Weekend Getaway

    Since this was my second stay at TENSUI, I couldn’t help but expect the same level of all-you-can-drink service (including alcohol) at tea time as last time. Perhaps due to recent price increases, the snacks seemed to have shifted to more budget-friendly options, and the wine selection no longer included sparkling wine, which felt a bit disappointing. Still, I was comforted by the staff’s polite and gentle hospitality. I chose the standard dinner course again, and just like last time it was more than satisfying—something I truly appreciated. The large public bath is a little small, but there was ice cream in the refrigerator in the changing room, which is perfect after a bath. I also recommend using the billiards area behind the front desk as an alternative to Onsen table tennis.

    An Accommodation I’d Love to Stay at Again

    I stayed here as a solo traveler. I came for a short Onsen retreat to recover from exhaustion, and I was glad I could fully enjoy both the Onsen and the meals. With a Multiple Night Stay, they changed the menu every day, which was very satisfying. You do need to use your smartphone for various things, but that actually helped me enjoy solo travel with a comfortable sense of distance. (If you’re not sure how to use it, I think the staff will kindly help you.) The bath is on the small side, but after 10:00 p.m. I was able to use it almost privately. The free black soybean tea in the changing room was a unique and appreciated service. In terms of location, taking a bus from Atami Station seemed more convenient than using the Shuttle Service. There’s a 7-Eleven and a supermarket nearby, which was very handy. The staff team is small but highly capable, and I’m grateful for their courteous help whenever I needed it. The Room was comfortable, and I ended up falling fast asleep on the terrace while looking out at the sea. Overall, this Accommodation offered excellent value for money, and I’d love to stay again.

    We stayed as a group...

    We stayed as a group of four women, but the Room we were first shown was far too small, and when we opened the window, the roof of the Room below was right in front of us. After discussing it with the staff, we were able to switch to a larger Room (though it did come with an additional charge). Both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared and very enjoyable.

    Solo travel

    I was able to relax on my own. The welcome drink was nice. At dinner, there were a few other solo guests besides me, but it felt like we were quietly eating at tables facing a dirty wall with no view, which was disappointing and reminded me of the COVID period. Since I wanted to drink alcohol, I chose a lighter course meal. The portion size was just right. The taste was average. At breakfast, freshly cooked rice had been prepared for each table, but when I arrived at the scheduled time it was already cold, which was disappointing. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The Onsen felt small and old, but the water was soft and easy to soak in. The open-air bath was too lukewarm, so I used the indoor bath instead. In the hot stone sauna, I didn’t sweat much within the time limit, so I would have appreciated being able to relax a bit longer. All of the staff were very kind.

    A very calm and relaxing atmosphere

    Set away from the bustle of Atami Station, it had a very calm atmosphere and felt truly relaxing. The welcome drink and nuts were a nice refreshment, the Onsen was wonderfully soothing, and we also enjoyed the quiet, peaceful dining atmosphere.

    Relo Club offers a ¥20,000 discount.

    I was disappointed to realize during my stay that booking through Relo Club would have been about 20,000 yen cheaper. The service was pleasant, and I enjoyed a reasonably good dinner. At the very least, I wish the Plans on IKYU and Relo Club were different. This makes me less likely to use IKYU in the future.

    Relax and unwind for two days.

    The Shuttle Service was handled by different staff, but after checking in by scanning the QR code, we were welcomed with complimentary coffee in the lobby lounge, and from dinner service through breakfast service, two staff members worked efficiently to take great care of us—thank you. We were able to relax and unwind for two days. The food was delicious, and the Crêpes Suzette presentation was wonderful. We were also satisfied with the value for money. We chose a spacious Room with a bath, but on our way home we thought that a twin Room might be fine next time as well. This is a Hotel we would like to return to.

    Best value Accommodation

    Thank you for your hospitality. It was my first solo trip, but there were other solo guests as well, and all the staff showed wonderful hospitality, so I had a great time. Everything felt thoughtfully designed—no waste, and lots of “this is exactly what I needed” touches throughout. This Accommodation is enjoyable whether you’re traveling alone or with friends or a partner. However, trains from Atami Station to Kinomiya Station do not run very frequently, so I ended up spending quite a bit of time waiting. If you want to make the most of your time, I recommend taking a taxi from Atami Station.

    I made a Reservation for a girls’ trip.

    I made a Reservation because the Reviews for this Hotel in Atami were so positive. I really liked the meals and the Room, and I was satisfied with the staff’s courteous service. However, there were a few disappointing points, so I’d like to share them. 1) Lighting At dinner, there was very strong lighting like a spotlight. It got in the way when taking photos, so I couldn’t take nice pictures. Also, depending on the seat, the shadows were quite strong and it was hard to see the food clearly. It reminded me how important lighting is. 2) Bath The water temperature in the open-air bath was a little low, and it felt slightly cold. 3) Billiards I appreciate that there is a billiards Facility, but it didn’t seem well maintained. The equipment felt old and looked a bit dirty. Overall I’m satisfied, so if these points are improved, I think it will become an even better Hotel.

    Two nights with our solo traveler Plan—highly satisfying!

    I stayed for two nights with dinner and breakfast included. When I arrived, there was a welcome drink waiting, and I enjoyed a glass of wine right away! I booked the solo traveler Plan, and I was surprised to see many other guests on the same Plan. Thanks to that, I could relax and enjoy my meals without worrying about others—and everything was delicious! My favorites were the roast beef & pork, the tomato soup udon, and the breakfast...! I was truly impressed by both the generous portions and the amazing taste!! If you make a Reservation, you can use the private hot stone spa for free, which warmed me up nicely...! The bath and my Room were both wonderful. I made a last-minute Reservation as a reward for myself after work, and I’m really glad I chose this place. I’d love to stay again.

    Enjoy our Welcome Service!

    The Welcome Service from 15:00 to 17:00 offers wine, drinks, and appetizers. You can relax at your favorite seat while enjoying snacks like nuts. The Japanese-Western style room with a bath has a cute design, but the view might not meet high expectations. It would be perfect if the Room's bath was an Onsen. Since there aren't many rooms, you rarely encounter others in the large public bath. Exploring the contents of the refrigerator in the powder room is also something to look forward to. Last time we had Light Kaiseki "Aoi," so this time we chose Standard Kaiseki "Midori." Watching them prepare Crêpes Suzette right in front of you is delightful. Smart check-in, tablet operations, and Onsen stone spa reservations were user-friendly; however, they might be challenging for those unfamiliar with such systems. Parking was slightly difficult when maneuvering into spaces. Still, we are already planning to visit again!

    Excellent customer service above all.

    The staff during meals were well-trained, providing excellent service with warm smiles. The meals were delicious and served in portions that were just right for us older guests. We checked in at 3 PM, enjoyed complimentary champagne, wine, snacks at the restaurant to satisfy our small appetite, and then relaxed in the Onsen. Although the bath was not very large, it was clean with a perfect water temperature. The room was also clean; however, we noticed some minor issues such as a curled-up rug on the floor and peeling laminate under the sink which was slightly disappointing. This is a compact Facility but efficiently designed to be simple and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay in Atami as a couple for one night.

    Relaxing Accommodation

    It was a very nice accommodation for relaxing. It would have been more convenient if there were convenience stores nearby. I stayed in a room with a private bath, but I had trouble as I couldn't figure out how to operate it and struggled to get hot water. It would be helpful if instructions on how to use it were provided. The mobile ordering app was also unresponsive, so improvements in that area might be necessary.

    Accommodation I Want to Visit Again

    It was a wonderful accommodation. I stayed with my grandson and mother. My grandson loved the bath so much that he kept asking to go to the onsen, and my mother was very satisfied with the meals, mentioning how lovely the dessert presentation was. The staff all had such warm and beautiful smiles. Thank you very much!

    Perfect for a girls' trip

    I stayed with two friends from my school days. We felt hospitality everywhere, from drinks and light snacks after check-in to cold tea and ice pops in the bath area. The stone sauna was available for all three of us to use together, allowing us to relax at our own pace. The meals were also very delicious. There were about four solo female guests as well. This is an accommodation where you can enjoy a wonderful time.

    Friend's Birthday

    A cozy accommodation with a great atmosphere. The dinner featured seasonal appetizers with beautiful presentation, and everything was delicious. The dessert plate we requested separately was served at the perfect timing, which made my friends very happy. The staff were all kind, attentive, and pleasant. The stone sauna was also available, making it perfect for a girls' trip and worth more than the price. However, it was disappointing that the lace curtain in the room was significantly torn.

    It was comfortable.

    A charming hotel with a calm atmosphere and a limited number of rooms. It was a very comfortable accommodation for my solo trip. The meals were all delicious. However, I did wonder about the choice of soup at one point... The final dish was udon, but I personally would have preferred rice. The roast beef was incredibly tasty, and the Crêpes Suzette dessert was visually delightful as well. The bath area felt slightly awkward as the washing space is directly in front of the bathtub. Still, the room was spacious, offered a view of the sea, and allowed me to fully enjoy Atami at a relaxed pace.

    A modern Hotel with excellent service and dining.

    The service and meal quality left a very positive impression. The young staff, in particular, provided excellent service. There were many solo travelers, and thoughtful arrangements were made for dining spaces. Since the Hotel is located in a residential area, opening the Room's shoji screens reveals nearby apartments or condominiums. This is not a complaint but rather feedback to help improve the Hotel further. There are some areas that seem to require renovation due to aging. For example, parts of the wallpaper were peeling off, ceilings appeared stained, and furniture had noticeable scratches. Additionally, the bath area faces residential buildings with wide gaps between privacy panels, making it uncomfortable to use securely. Lastly, all Room lights could only be controlled by one switch; having multiple switches would be more convenient.

    As this is an auberge, the meals and service were good, but the Facility felt quite old and different from the impression given in the photos. Some parts, such as window glass and walls, were left broken without repairs, so it was hard to relax. It was nice to be able to stay at a reasonable price with dinner and breakfast included, but because my expectations were high, I ended up feeling disappointed.

    The hotel with a smart system was hassle-free and easy to use. The lobby offered several types of drinks, including alcohol, and mini snacks, while the room's refrigerator provided complimentary juice and beer. I made the Reservation this time attracted by the stone sauna and meals. The stone sauna was available by reservation for one group at a time, allowing for a relaxing experience. Although I initially thought dining in the restaurant might not allow for leisurely enjoyment, the timing of food service was perfect, letting me savor both fine cuisine and drinks in peace. The live crepe preparation in front of me and candlelit table setting added to the charm. Despite usually having a small appetite, I finished every meal because everything was so delicious during both breakfast and dinner. The only downside was that due to its location, neither views from the Room nor from windows near the bath or restaurant were particularly enjoyable. However, with satisfying meals and spacious Rooms providing a calm atmosphere, it turned out to be an excellent stay overall.

    The quality of service is continuously declining.

    I have stayed here several times since my first visit 15 years ago. The room design is excellent, comfortable, and reasonably priced, which made it a favorite choice for me. However, during this stay, I noticed a significant decline in service quality: ● Sparkling wine was no longer available in the free drink selection. ● The window-side table at the dining area was wobbly and not fixed. Why hasn't this been addressed? ● Critically, the back section of the dining area had no functioning air conditioning. Guests seated there during summer were uncomfortable due to the heat. Especially in the morning with sunlight streaming in, the space felt uncomfortably warm despite being indoors. These issues could be resolved with proper maintenance and repairs but seem to have been neglected entirely. This is not an irregular problem but something that can be improved with better management. As far as I know, this hotel belongs to a chain of accommodations offering similar services under its operation model. Therefore, I believe investing in facility improvements should be feasible for your company (unlike small-scale ryokans where even fixing an air conditioner might strain their budget). If you are running hotels as part of a larger company operation rather than seasonally or individually managed properties, please ensure that basic amenities like air conditioning are always functional and comfortable for guests year-round. This did not appear to be caused by sudden equipment failure since no explanation was provided. I have always appreciated your facilities' high standards within this hotel chain; hence this experience has been quite disappointing overall.

    It feels so comfortable.

    I previously visited with my husband for our wedding anniversary. This time, I came with a friend. It’s always so comfortable here. The staff are always welcoming and kind with their warm smiles.     This accommodation offers incredible value for money in this price range, and we were extremely satisfied. Honestly, we were a bit worried after reading some reviews from others, but visiting in person completely dispelled those concerns. The comfort and attentive hospitality made us wonder, "What level of accommodations are they comparing this to?"

    I had a relaxing stay.

    We arrived at the Hotel early, but the staff kindly assisted us with the check-in process. All the employees were very friendly, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The bath was not crowded, allowing us to relax comfortably. The welcome drink along with snacks and treats was a nice touch. We opted for a light dinner Plan, which turned out to be sufficient in portion and delicious. However, since the Hotel is located in a residential area, it was unfortunate that we couldn't leave the sliding paper windows open despite their spacious design.

    Self-check-in via QR code and online reservation for the stone sauna make it convenient and user-friendly. However, it might be challenging for elderly guests. The unstable Wi-Fi was inconvenient. Please consider improving this.
