    Children...

    The Room has a balcony, offering a great view and fresh air, which was very pleasant. It would have been even better if breakfast had been a buffet.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    I had a relaxing stay. The bathhouse on the first floor was very clean and provided a comfortable experience. However, one concern I had was that the bathroom in the guest room faced the beach, making it visible to people playing by the sea. When I went to check from the beach myself, I noticed that if someone stood and washed their body in the bathroom, they could be seen clearly from outside by those on the beach or swimming in the sea. This was quite concerning for me. It would be great if privacy glass could be installed for at least the bathroom area! Other than that, my stay was very comfortable and highly satisfying.

    I had a great stay!

    I came to Yonago for work. Unable to book a hotel near Yonago Station, I decided to make a reservation here, even though it required taking a bus. It turned out to be the perfect choice. The room was spacious with an amazing view, and I could walk on tatami from the lobby, which made it very relaxing. There was no crowd, and I almost had the wonderful open-air onsen all to myself. A friend mentioned that the price is not much different from business hotels near the station and said, "Next time I'll stay at Kaike Onsen too!" The onsen warmed my body so well that there were times I wanted stronger air conditioning; however, since it seemed centrally controlled throughout the building, adjustment wasn't possible—so I'll deduct one star for that. Please let me stay again when I visit Yonago next time. Thank you!

    This was our first time staying here. I was a bit anxious as I brought my elderly mother and aunt, but everyone was kind, and we had no issues during our stay. The facility was new and well-equipped, which was great, and the meals were perfect for us with the small portion kaiseki cuisine—this aspect was also excellent. The staff (especially those in charge of meals) were very kind and attentive. I wish I could have given them a tip to show my appreciation, but since I wasn’t sure about the tipping system here, I couldn’t do so... My apologies for that point.

    The ocean view is stunning.

    I had a relaxing stay at this homey Ryokan. Unexpected fireworks lit up the night, and I was thrilled beyond words. Watching the grand display from the 8th floor was breathtaking and became an unforgettable memory. The meals were also very satisfying, but since it was during Golden Week, there were many guests, and meal service couldn't keep up. I heard people saying "It's slow" here and there, with staff constantly apologizing. It made me realize the shortage of staff.

    The meals are delicious.

    The meals were absolutely delicious. However, the portions were a bit too large for me. Breakfast was also very tasty. The staff provided excellent and polite service. I only used the outdoor Onsen. The changing room and washing area had only three showers, which could be improved, but since there weren’t many people during my stay, it wasn’t an issue this time. The entire facility has tatami flooring; it took some getting used to at first, but once I did, it was actually quite comfortable. Having draft beer as a welcome drink was a nice touch! As for the service, everyone was pleasant and welcoming; however, the style is mostly self-service where you handle things on your own—this might not suit everyone’s preferences. Considering the affordable price point, one shouldn’t expect luxury Ryokan quality here. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Unfortunately, there was an eggshell from the Onsen egg in the hot pot dish, and I had to spit it out after feeling it crunch in my mouth!

    I visited during Gol...

    I visited during Golden Week. The exterior had a slightly aged appearance, but the room came with a private open-air bath, and we enjoyed using it multiple times along with the onsen within the ryokan. My entire family was delighted with the baths. The meal portions were just right and satisfying. The price was reasonable for Golden Week, making it a great stay overall.

    Wi-Fi not available as advertised.

    Although Wi-Fi is available, the speed is extremely slow. It only reaches about 5MB (not GB), making the internet unusable. At times, it doesn't even reach 1MB. The docomo signal is also weak, making video streaming impossible. Floors above the 6th seem to have a different Wi-Fi network, but lower floors cannot access the internet properly. Since you can't know your floor at the time of reservation, choosing a wider and higher-priced plan might ensure better internet access. Nowadays, even Business Hotels offer comfortable Wi-Fi usage. We spent a significant amount for our family stay but will never stay here again. However, there were no issues with staff or meals. The male staff member who handled meal service provided exceptional hospitality!

    It was excellent.

    I wanted a Multiple Night Stay, but since I was alone, it seemed unavailable, so I stayed for just one night. The food, Onsen, service, and Room were all excellent! I splurged a little and chose a room with an open-air bath, which was absolutely amazing. It even had a jacuzzi that I used before going to bed at night. One disappointing point was that my Room was at the far end of the hallway. The corridor was dimly lit, and since the Room key was an electronic KEY, it was hard to see properly. I even checked multiple times thinking the battery might have run out. The magnificent view of Mount Daisen directly visible from the elevator hall added to the experience. It made me feel like I had finally found a great Ryokan after such a long time!

    Get on the track of business revitalization

    I was able to relax slowly. The ocean view and the open-air bath were very nice. The meals were good, and the Ryokan's specialty "Sea Urchin Soy Milk Chawanmushi" served at dinner was exquisite. The curry using "Etegarei" and "Inca no Mezame" for breakfast was memorable. There were quite a few foreigners, and the dining manners were questionable. It seems that the business was revitalized a few months ago, but it seemed to be on track.

    It was the best New Year's holiday.

    We stayed for two nights in two rooms with our family on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I was worried that the service level might have dropped since the management changed at the end of October 2024, but it was a wonderful property, and we had the best New Year! Highly recommended for New Year's Eve. - The view of the Sea of Japan from the lobby, elevator hall, and room is excellent. From the large window in the elevator hall, you can see the beautiful Mt. Daisen, and on New Year's Day, we were able to witness the first sunrise of the year rising from Mt. Daisen. - The lobby is fully mirrored, with an open atrium, and we were able to relax while enjoying a complimentary welcome drink (draft beer or juice) and unlimited free coffee and tea. There was also a kotatsu, and on New Year's Day, there were free services of mandarins and otoso (spiced sake). - The food was excellent in both appearance and taste. On New Year's Eve, we had toshikoshi soba, and for New Year's Day breakfast, there was a splendid three-tiered osechi and ozoni! The New Year's Day dinner was also festive and fitting for the New Year. I had read in reviews that the portions were small, so I added optional dishes, but I was so full that I couldn't finish the rice dishes, so the regular portions might be sufficient for women and the elderly. - Including the pre-arrival email and phone correspondence, the staff's service was prompt and courteous, and I felt they were trying their best to provide hospitality (such as always greeting us when passing by, discreetly placing shoes when we came down to the lobby wearing coats, bringing dessert to the room when the child returned first, and waving goodbye until we were out of sight, among many other things). Right after the management change, there were some negative reviews on other sites, but from what I could see, the points raised were sincerely addressed and improved, which left a positive impression. I would love to visit again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much.

    Birthday trip

    I visited for her birthday trip. The room had a somewhat dated feel, but there were parts that had been renovated here and there, making it a satisfactory room. I was able to enjoy the ocean view while soaking in the jacuzzi bath. What I found most wonderful was the consideration and service of the staff. Each staff member was full of hospitality. The food was also exquisite, with plenty of ingredients from Tottori Prefecture used in every dish. I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.
