Amazed by how delicious the food was! Honestly, since it’s in the countryside I didn’t expect much, but dinner was surprisingly good. Everything was tasty with Kanto-style seasoning, and the simmered sea bream head was outstanding. In each appetizer, you could feel the chef’s love for cooking. The local specialty, Iwakuni sushi, also had a gentle flavor and was exquisite.\nFor the Room, we recommend the second-floor corner Room where Uno Chiyo’s father once indulged in lavish stays.

This trip was somewhat like a field verification for the manuscript I am currently writing, and thanks to it, I was able to make many discoveries and achieve fulfilling results. Thank you very much. Not only did I reaffirm the importance of Iwakuni as a location in the formation of order and tension in the Chugoku region after the Battle of Sekigahara, but I also found it truly fascinating that the people who grew up in Iwakuni are connected to the philosophy of the modern Chinese regime's foundation. Coincidentally, some members of the China research group in Nagoya are currently visiting Hangzhou at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs there, so I suggested to the people of the Hangzhou city government to be reminded of "Iwakuni." I hope that, like Hanzuki-an, the presence of strong maintainers of Iwakuni's sustainable cultural standards will attract not "ill-mannered foreign tourists" but many quality visitors who understand the undercurrents of cultural exchange well.
