    A delightful surprise—how delicious the food is!

    Amazed by how delicious the food was! Honestly, since it’s in the countryside I didn’t expect much, but dinner was surprisingly good. Everything was tasty with Kanto-style seasoning, and the simmered sea bream head was outstanding. In each appetizer, you could feel the chef’s love for cooking. The local specialty, Iwakuni sushi, also had a gentle flavor and was exquisite.\nFor the Room, we recommend the second-floor corner Room where Uno Chiyo’s father once indulged in lavish stays.

    Accommodation after Miyajima sightseeing

    ~Positive Points~ ① The accommodation was clean and well-maintained, which made us feel at ease. ② They were very kind and attentive to my daughter's mushroom allergy. ③ The hostess greeted each table personally. ④ All the staff were very cheerful and friendly. ⑤ The handmade dishes were incredibly delicious. ~Areas for Improvement~ ① While the food was tasty, the sashimi selection was too ordinary, which was a bit disappointing (we hoped to enjoy seafood from Yamaguchi). ② There was no explanation about the dishes (though they explained when asked). ③ It is not an onsen (understandable though). ④ Morning bath hours are late and short (6:30–7:30). ⑤ The hairdryers in both the changing room and room get too hot (they seem quite old). ⑥ The futon mattress was thin and uncomfortable to sleep on (hard to get proper rest). It’s a lovely accommodation, so I hope they continue improving!

    Impressed by the wonderful meal

    The location is excellent. It's a superb 5-minute walk to Kintai Bridge. Especially after dinner, you can enjoy the illuminated Kintai Bridge at night, which is very satisfying. The dinner is at a level served in a traditional Japanese restaurant and does not disappoint. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    I will visit again!

    The phone call to change the number of guests before our stay was handled very politely, and that impression remained unchanged after our arrival. It was a very courteous, yet familial and kind inn. The breakfast and dinner served at the dining area were delicious, with dinner being particularly elaborate. The room was a traditional Japanese-style room, which was very calming. Both Kintaikyo Bridge and the bus terminal were just a short walk away, and it was enjoyable to visit the bridge at night after dinner. Although the building has historical significance, it was well-maintained and thoroughly cleaned. There was a safe in the room, and also small combination security boxes just outside the large public bath, which was convenient for storing the room key and wallet. I felt that there was a lot of thoughtful consideration put into the place. It's a small inn that I honestly don't want to share with others. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.
