    Recommended Green Terrace

    I stayed with a meal plan at Green Terrace. The small bowl style was very easy to take and stylish, which was nice. The bath was also spacious and very satisfying.

    The open-air bath in the Room was nice.

    I stayed one night in the suite "Kaede" with an open-air onsen sourced directly from the spring. Check-in was comfortable at the counter dedicated to suites. I was surprised by the large number of inbound guests. The room on the 10th floor by the river offers a slight view of part of Jigokudani on the right. The room was spacious, with two bedrooms, one king-size and one twin-type, and it was nice to have two TVs. The island-style double sink vanity facing each other was good. The open-air onsen in the room, with its sulfur spring, had a good quality and was pleasantly enjoyable. My skin became smooth. One inconvenience was the iron key, as it was not auto-locking. As for the large public bath, there are two locations on B1F and B2F, and the large public bath on B2F with an open-air bath was nice. The cypress open-air bath was relaxing with a pleasant aroma amidst the falling snow. For dinner, we had a special kaiseki meal at the private dining room "Yuen." The fugu sashimi/fried, though small, and the boiled hairy crab were delicious. The alcohol was also reasonably priced, making it easy to order, which was nice. Breakfast was a buffet at Green Terrace. Honestly, the variety was limited, and there were no dishes I wanted to eat, which was disappointing. Even a simple business hotel offers more satisfying meals, so improvement seems necessary. It seemed like having a Japanese breakfast at the private dining room "Yuen" would be nice.

    We stayed at Hotel Mahoroba for 2 nights and 3 days with my parents at the end of the year. The onsen facility was attractive with a variety of spring qualities and spacious open-air baths, and the open-air bath on B2F was particularly comfortable. The amenities were well-equipped, and it was not crowded, allowing us to relax. Dinner was buffet-style, offering all-you-can-eat crab, fresh seafood bowls, and a variety of Japanese and Western fusion dishes. The venue had a lively atmosphere. Many staff members were stationed at the dining venue, and their kind and courteous service was impressive. On the other hand, there was a long line at check-in, and we waited about 20 minutes. There were several drugstores and convenience stores in the vicinity, making the stay very convenient.

    The Room, bath, and meals were all very satisfying. The staff's response was also very good. Their handling of forgotten items was courteous, and I was impressed with the snow removal from the car! Thank you very much. I will use your service again next time!

    This is a property for groups.

    Honestly, it's a Facility that feels a bit too much for just the two of us as a couple. It seems we got a low-cost package this time, and our Room was the smallest on the same floor. The unit bath is from the Showa era, and the furnishings are only the bare minimum. The Onsen offers various types of baths as advertised, but I personally couldn't distinguish their individual characteristics. Dinner was the most surprising. It's nice that the all-you-can-eat crab is a selling point, but there were people who blatantly ate only that, and others who were more focused on chatting than eating, making the noise overwhelming. This Facility is centrally located in the Noboribetsu Onsen town, offering an excellent location.

    The Onsen had a lot of steam, so I accidentally stepped into an empty pool and broke my front tooth. There is a sign warning about slipping, but I think it would be safer if there was a sign next to the empty pool.

    The cost performance is excellent.

    The dinner buffet had so many options that it was impossible to try everything. The crab and steak were delicious. The young staff who cleared our plates were pleasant and hardworking. The Onsen was also nice, but it was inconvenient to have to bring a bath towel from the Room. The staff waiting at the front desk and entrance were all very kind. Overall, I think the cost performance is top-notch.

    Satisfaction

    Thank you always for letting us stay at a reasonable price. This time, my friends from Osaka were very pleased with the meals at Mahoroba. The room was clean, and the Onsen was exceptional. Compared to other places, there are many different Onsen to enjoy, allowing us to relax. We often stay at Mahoroba in Noboribetsu Onsen, and we love the meals and scenery each time. We will visit again.

    Plan for 2 People in a Japanese-style Room - Green Terrace Plan

    This time, I stayed in a Japanese-style room. The interior was beautifully renovated, and the utilities were clean, allowing me to have a pleasant time. The meals at Green Terrace were as satisfying as ever, and I was able to enjoy them at a leisurely pace.

    I was surprised that soft drinks were charged at the dinner buffet, especially with so many children around. The open-air bath on the first basement floor was disappointing as it didn't feel like an open-air bath. However, the second basement floor was wonderful and very satisfying, but since it was morning, there wasn't enough time. The difference is too great.

    The Onsen is nice, the reception is courteous, and the food is delicious.

    The Onsen is nice, the reception staff are polite, and the meals for one night with two meals are delicious with a rich menu. However, the Facility is a bit old, and the main bath in the Room lacks cleanliness, leaving room for improvement.

    I will visit again.

    This is my favorite hotel in Noboribetsu Onsen, which I visit every year. The numerous Onsen and the open-air bath are simply the best. I used the Green Stay for meals, and it was a satisfying experience with no noise, enjoying crab, steak, ramen, and melon. The crab was a bit salty, though. It's a bit disappointing that the seats were too close to each other! I stayed in a Japanese-style room, which has become cleaner and more comfortable than before. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

    Favorite Hotel

    I was completely satisfied with my stay at Hotel Mahoroba. The number of baths was plentiful, and I was especially delighted with the delicious meals served in the private dining room. The variety and quality of the ingredients were exceptional, unlike anything offered at other hotels. Thank you very much.

    Full of foreigners.

    It was my first stay at Mahoroba in a while. I reached my limit with the poor manners of guests from China. Despite having a sign indicating that the seat was occupied while I was getting food, they would boldly sit there, cut in line, and talk loudly. When I was told that the sake I ordered was out of stock, my frustration peaked. I ended up speaking a bit harshly to the staff, which I regret. It's not the staff's fault. The quality of the food has also significantly declined. With so many Chinese guests, I don't feel like going back. It's a big hotel, so it can't be helped. I feel for the staff as well. Noboribetsu Onsen is my favorite onsen, so I will visit again. But I'm sorry, Mahoroba.

    The Onsen is comfortable.

    I was able to relax and enjoy Noboribetsu Onsen. All four types of spring quality were excellent. Especially, the large public bath on the second basement floor was spacious, both the indoor and outdoor baths, allowing for a leisurely soak.

    Why is it a summer m...

    Why is it a summer menu? I want to ask. The private room kaiseki dinner ruined everything. The hot spring and the room were lovely, but... I stayed at the beginning of October. It said "Summer Colors" (;_;) I was taken to a private room that was by no means warm, and was served a series of cold dishes. It wasn't even about the taste. It's so disappointing.

    The slide, awesome!

    We stayed with two preschool children and two adults. The dinner buffet included crab, which delighted our older child who loves crab. However, the crab was a bit too salty, so we could only eat one serving. The other dishes were also tasty but generally on the salty side. The hot spring had a pool with a slide that goes quite fast. A 5-year-old would enjoy it immensely, but it seemed too scary for our 3-year-old, who slid from about halfway and ended up crying a lot. Haha. When I visited, it was very empty, so we could relax in the hot spring, which was great. As for amenities, I'm giving a minus one because there was no small plastic drawstring bag to take to the hot spring.

    I was satisfied because the hot spring was incredibly spacious and large! I also used the Green Terrace for meals, and the variety was great. When I suddenly requested a bus to Sapporo, they were able to make a reservation for me as there was availability, which was very helpful. I would like to use it again.

    Since it is a very large ryokan, there might be limitations in terms of service.

    This time, I booked a suite room, which I had used before, thinking it would be better for my elderly parents to have a hot spring in the room as we were traveling to celebrate and relieve them after their discharge from the hospital. However, as soon as we arrived at the hotel, there was trouble... There was no staff at the dedicated counter for the suite room, so we had no choice but to line up at the regular check-in counter, which had a queue. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we finally completed the check-in process, but the room assigned to us was "a room on the 4th floor (lower floor)" and we were told, "There is no yukata set in the room, so please take it from the shelf in the lobby." When I asked, "Is there no yukata set in the suite room?" they said, "No." I wished they had noticed the mistake here... Feeling something was off, I took the key and headed to the room with my elderly parents, only to find it was a regular Japanese-style room, not a suite. We returned to the lobby, and this time there was a staff member at the dedicated counter for the suite room, so we received the key to the room we had reserved. By this time, about an hour had passed since the car arrived at the entrance. I have stayed at accommodations with suite room specifications before, but this was the first time something like this happened. I wondered if it was the limit of service at a super large inn. Furthermore, the meal was a buffet at the Green Terrace venue, but when I stayed in a suite room before, there was a special dish using slightly better ingredients like abalone exclusive to the suite room, but now it was gone... The plan photo on the Ikkyu site showed special dishes, so it was a bit misleading. However, the buffet at Green Terrace had plenty of seafood dishes, and I was satisfied with the result even without the special dishes. Despite various troubles, the layout and usability of the suite room were very good, and the hot spring in the room was a rich sulfur spring with plenty of hot spring flowers, with perfect temperature control, making it the best room. Also, the staff at the entrance upon arrival, the staff at the dining venue, and the staff at the shop all provided good service, which halved the unpleasant feelings. What people seek in an accommodation varies, so for those who value the hardware aspects like a good hot spring and facilities in the room, it is a highly recommendable inn.

    Hot water and meals are good.

    It is a popular tourist destination with many inbound visitors, but the food and hot water were good. It would be even better if the dining area could be separated from the inbound visitors. Some of the ways they take and eat food are too messy and hard to overlook.

    I want to stay again!

    I stayed for three nights in a room with an open-air bath. I enjoyed the sediment in the bathtub, and it was undoubtedly the best hot spring experience of my life!
