Hot pot meals are not prepared using solid fuel.

I heard that this Accommodation is a renovated former culinary Ryokan, now run by a husband and wife as an auberge. After the renovation, the Accommodation felt new and was kept very clean, and I could really sense the care put into it. The food was carefully prepared, beautifully presented on lovely tableware, and we enjoyed fresh seafood. One issue: perhaps due to the season and airflow from the air conditioner, it took a very long time to heat hot-pot dishes using solid fuel. At dinner, with the shabu-shabu it felt like we ate one slice and then waited several minutes for the next; at breakfast, we waited quite a while for the yudofu, but the tofu was still cold and the shimeji served alongside was almost raw. You might say we should have asked staff for help, but since it’s just two of you and you seemed busy, it was hard to speak up.
