    The Onsen features t...

    The Onsen features two bathing areas: an observation bath and an open-air bath, both spacious and uncrowded, allowing for a relaxing experience. From the observation bath, you can enjoy a stunning view of Sakurajima. It would be convenient if extra towels were available in the changing room. Dinner was delicious, incorporating a well-balanced selection of locally sourced ingredients. Since access from Kirishima-Jingu Station is limited to buses or taxis, having a Shuttle Service would be very helpful.

    The meals were absolutely amazing! The open-air bath with a view of Sakurajima was fantastic. I would love to visit again.

    - Dinner was a kaiseki meal prepared by Chef NORM at the restaurant. It was truly special and delicious! This level of quality is rare across the whole country. The combination of the chef's refined taste, creativity in incorporating seasonal elements, dedication to local ingredients, and passion for cooking was evident. The use of local ingredients and unique seasoning made it exceptional. The originality in every dish left me speechless—truly impressive. - Although I don't usually drink much alcohol, I found myself enjoying wine with the meal. The explanations about each dish were just right, and the service was excellent. - Breakfast was equally delightful. Featuring high-quality local dishes in abundance, we extended our planned 30-minute breakfast to an hour to savor it fully. Just experiencing these meals makes staying at this accommodation worthwhile. After our stay, we visited Kirishima Shrine the next day—highly recommended for those heading there. - We stayed at LAKA. Despite rainy weather during our visit, the open-air bath with views of Sakurajima was wonderful. Having toured Sakurajima before our stay made us appreciate its iconic presence even more—it felt luxurious to see it from our window! Additionally, staff interactions at souvenir shops and throughout were excellent. - I've never written a review for any accommodation before but wanted to express my gratitude through this comment for the first time ever. While the building may feel slightly dated in some areas, everything else more than compensates for it. There are aspects that cannot be changed about an older structure; however, I felt that every effort possible had been made by both management and staff beyond that limitation. This is a place I'd love to visit again—thank you so much!

    The facility felt a ...

    The facility felt a bit old, but the room we stayed in and the restaurant were clean. There was plenty of hot water, and we enjoyed the foot bath as well. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious, and although many of the restaurant staff seemed to be foreign nationals, they provided attentive service. The alcohol prices were reasonable for a hotel in an onsen area! It is also close to Kagoshima Airport, so we would love to visit again.

    Possibly the best in Kirishima!

    The baths, including the panoramic bath and open-air bath, were both excellent. Above all, the food was outstanding. The level of detail and effort put into the dishes was unbelievable for this price. Especially, the soy sauce meringue and jelly were exceptional, with the meringue being a standout. The futon provided was Nishikawa AIR. While the building structure inside and in the rooms is reused, there’s nothing unnecessary about it, which I personally found appealing. I’ll definitely visit again!

    Solo Travel

    The exterior looked a bit old, which made me slightly worried, and the elevator's vintage feel had me concerned. However, once I entered the room, all my worries disappeared. The room was very clean and even had a private onsen on the balcony with natural hot spring water—it was amazing. The open-air bath and panoramic onsen were also fantastic. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again with someone next time. The dinner course was delicious, but it was disappointing that the next dish arrived before we finished eating the current one. Because of this, I gave slightly fewer stars, but I still want to visit again. Thank you very much!

    I love Kirishima.

    I have a connection to Kagoshima. Although I have stayed in Kirishima several times, this was my first time staying here after successfully making a reservation. The view from the room, where steam from the hot springs was visible, was a bit disappointing, but it couldn't be helped as it was a single-person reservation. What stood out the most was how delicious the food was. Dinner had just the right portions, with an affordable and diverse selection of shochu available. The foreign female staff serving us were very friendly and kind. Breakfast was surprisingly delicious as well! I was amazed by the freshly cooked rice served in traditional style. The staff at the shop inside the accommodation were also very kind and helpful. I would love to stay here again in the future! Thank you very much!

    I want to visit again!

    We stayed with an infant and a toddler! Having dinner in a private room was the perfect choice! They even provided a baby bouncer, which was very helpful! Highly recommended if you're staying in Kirishima with children! It was a Hotel we would love to visit again.

    It became a good memory.

    Thank you for providing a complimentary drink during dinner after I informed you in advance about my son's birthday. The Hotel itself feels a bit old, but I appreciated how well-maintained it is. The breakfast included specialties from Kagoshima, and I enjoyed it very much.

    We had a great time as a couple.

    Upon entering the Hotel, you are greeted with a luxurious atmosphere. The staff at the front desk provide a detailed explanation and guide you to your Room. Upon entering the Room, it is very neatly organized, and since it was a Room with an open-air bath, I immediately entered the bath. The scent of sulfur was present, and it was very pleasant. The meals were also excellent, with dinner at the restaurant and breakfast as a buffet, both of which were extremely delicious. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

    I had a very pleasan...

    I had a very pleasant stay. The Onsen was simply the best. Also, the view of Sakurajima from the room was very beautiful and wonderful. I am grateful for the allergy-friendly dinner. It was a Hotel that I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Traveling with Father-in-law and Mother-in-law

    I made a reservation for a room for two and a room for four on the internet. When we checked into the hotel, we found out there are three buildings, and my father-in-law and his group were in the south building while we were in the north building, which felt like a maze for my elderly father-in-law... It was a good mental exercise. It would have been better if we were in the same building, even if on different floors. It was my oversight. However, the meals were delicious both at night and in the morning, and the bath was nice. The staff's attentiveness and service were pleasant, allowing us to relax. Thank you very much.

    The bath is very satisfying!

    The bath was really nice. I was able to relax. To get to the window side of the room, you have to pass in front of the sofa, so if someone in the same room is watching TV, you have to pass in front of them, which was not convenient, but considering the size of the room, it might have been the only layout possible. The meals were on the sweet side, and I would have preferred them to be a little less sweet. Both dinner and breakfast, which used local ingredients, were good. Breakfast had a lot of variety, and I had plenty from the morning. This time, we entered Kagoshima with a 2-night, 3-day schedule as a couple, so it was difficult to move large suitcases from the main building using the stairs due to the amount of luggage. I can still manage now, but I think using the stairs might be tough for elderly people. It might be better if some improvements were made. Overall, I think it's a good property.

    I was able to relax and take it easy.

    My annual solo trip this time was to visit Kirishima Shrine. I traveled by bus without renting a car, and I was grateful that this inn was close to the bus stop and allowed me to stay in the lobby until check-in time. By the way, the nearest bus stop varies slightly depending on your destination. If you're using the Kagoshima Airport route, there's a bus stop a minute's walk away, but it doesn't have a roof. When heading to the airport, sitting on the left side of the bus allows you to enjoy views of the river and the Ryoma statue. I chose this inn because of the long hours you can enjoy the hot springs. They also offer day-use hot springs. You can enjoy both the open-air bath and the view, and since they switch the men's and women's baths, I was able to fully enjoy them over my two-night stay. Of course, the bath in the room also uses hot spring water, so I could soak my feet anytime. The room had a spacious bed and a convenient layout. From the room I stayed in, I could see the dog run, and the cute dogs were soothing. The accommodation building seems to be separate, so there was no chance of running into others. The meals were very good in both taste and content. The foreign staff spoke excellent Japanese and were very pleasant. The breakfast menu was almost the same on both days, but there were so many options that it didn't bother me. The curry was also delicious. I was disappointed that I forgot about the ice cream at the end and was too full to eat it. The local flavors were rich and enjoyable. The shop staff were also very kind. They sold retort-packaged rice balls that you could heat in the microwave if you got a little hungry. People of various ages work there, giving the inn a friendly feel. I can see why it's popular, and it might be good to check as amenities seem to vary by room. The amenities in the room I stayed in were more than sufficient. I didn't need cleaning during my stay, but they kindly prepared a set for the day in front of my room. It's a place I'd like to visit again with my family, though it's far away and not easy to get to.

    It was very good!

    I used this place during my trip to Kyushu! The food was very delicious! The facilities included a large public bath with a view and a sauna, and the room was very clean and nice. Also, the staff was very courteous. It's located in the mountains, so it's a bit far from the city, but I recommend it to those visiting Kirishima Onsen.
