    Pet-Friendly Room

    The smallest pet Room is not connected to the main building, so we had to go outside once, which was hot and inconvenient—and there were lizards as well. Also, the Room had a strong, ingrained dog urine smell; however, it seems the Facility is aware of this, as there were multiple air purifiers and air-conditioning units, and running them at full power made the odor manageable. In addition, since we had a lot of dog-related luggage, we asked in advance where we should park and were told “anywhere,” but once we found out where the Room was located, we realized there is actually a dedicated parking space on the pet Room side. We ended up moving the car again, which was unnecessary extra work. The meals were satisfying, but since this Accommodation has many small children, they tend to run around near your feet at the buffet. It might be helpful to set specific time slots or designate seating sections.

    Despite confirming in advance

    I stayed in a dog-friendly room. Although I confirmed in advance that there would be chairs on the terrace, there were none. If there weren’t any, I would have brought my own, but I was told they were available. Since we needed them when using the dog run and for resting after bathing, I contacted the front desk and explained that I had confirmed beforehand. They brought chairs in, but the Room was left dirty (dirty water). There was also dog food under the crate, which made me concerned about the cleanliness. Precisely because we travel with a dog, hygiene is important to us. It is difficult to move from the dog-friendly room to the main building. Of course, dogs cannot leave the friendly-room area. Our dog also had to stay behind during meals. Although we paid in advance, we were charged a dog fee at checkout. The Receipt did not clearly state it was a dog fee—only “Accommodation fee,” with no indication of how many dogs. I cannot recommend this Accommodation for traveling with dogs.

    Our four-generation family had a wonderful time. Because we were a large group, we stayed in two Japanese-style Rooms. We assumed the futons would be laid out after dinner, but it was a self-setup system. Laying out four futons made the Room feel quite tight (the kids enjoyed that too). The Kazusa wagyu and abalone were delicious. We ate so much at the buffet that I couldn’t try the tantanmen, which I still regret. Both the Room and the large public bath were clean. The panoramic open-air bath in the morning felt amazing. It seemed fairly crowded around 6:00 a.m., but around 7:00 a.m. it was relaxing. At both the front desk and in the dining area, all of your staff were incredibly kind—that’s what stayed with me most. Thank you very much.

    First time at Kamenoi Hotel!

    It was a very clean and stylish Hotel. The dinner and breakfast buffets offered a wide variety of dishes, with plenty of fresh seafood specialties typical of Kamogawa. Since Kamogawa Sea World is right in front of the Hotel, many families stay here, and baby food is also provided—I’d love to visit again with my daughter’s family.

    Thank you for your hospitality. In terms of price and Facility, this Hotel ranks among the best I have stayed at. Considering the price, the meals were almost fully satisfying. The building was clean and well maintained, and I especially loved how spacious and spotless the Room toilet was. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity. The staff’s service with warm smiles was perfect—please keep up the great work. Thank you very much.

    The table tennis table is surprisingly compact in size.

    There is an additional fee to use the table tennis facilities, which seemed reasonable. However, the table was a compact size rather than an international regulation size. It might have been helpful to mention this in advance. Overall, everything was good and we were satisfied.

    Staff Service

    The staff were exceptionally attentive, and we had a very pleasant stay. However, even from the 5th floor, the pine trees were so dense that we couldn’t see the ocean.

    The baths are wonderful, but I hope the dinner buffet can be improved.

    Compared with nearby hotels, the bath area felt open and spacious, making it very pleasant to use. However, considering the number of guests bathing, there were noticeably few available lockers, and it seemed that keys were not being replenished. We stayed for two nights, but the dinner buffet menu was the same both times, which became a bit repetitive. If you are planning a Multiple Night Stay, it may be better to have dinner at a nearby restaurant on one of the nights. Also, while the buffet offers many dishes and they taste good, there wasn’t anything particularly impressive on the menu—having at least one standout dish would be nice. This time, the fried horse mackerel was delicious, so perhaps that is one of their specialties. Lastly, housekeeping was thorough, and we were able to use the Facility comfortably.

    Traveling with Elderly Parents

    I traveled with my parents in their 70s and my daughter for the first time in a while. The Hotel was very clean, and both the bath and the meals were excellent!! The staff were kind, which made us feel at ease. The Room was spacious enough for three of us to relax comfortably, and my parents—who hadn’t traveled in a long time—were very satisfied!! The food was also delicious! There are many fish dishes, so if you don’t like fish, it might feel a bit lacking. It’s a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.

    It was great.

    It was great. The price was reasonable, there was a welcome drink, and the facilities were clean. The food was delicious as well. It was disappointing that the wine server was being adjusted and couldn’t be used.

    The meals are delicious.

    We chose the buffet-style dinner, and it was delicious—our children, who usually don’t eat much, went back for seconds several times. There was a wide variety of dishes, with fresh fish and vegetables, and everything was very satisfying. The staff were also kind and helpful. The large public bath (with separate hours for men and women) is new and very pleasant; the one on the top floor in particular offers ocean views, letting you soak while listening to the sound of the waves—a real luxury. However, since there is no Shuttle Service from the station, if you’re not driving you’ll need to take a local bus or use a taxi.

    Simply built; you may notice noise and odors.

    I stayed in a second-floor room located directly above the restaurant on the first floor. I couldn’t fall asleep because of footsteps from people walking in the hallway and voices from the neighboring Room. There was also a faint smell, like grilled fish, lingering at night and in the morning, which was unpleasant. Breakfast had nothing particularly appealing and felt unsatisfying. I don’t think I would stay again.

    Everything except the kids’ room is comparable to a Business Hotel.

    We chose this Hotel because we have children and it has a kids’ Room. Since it had just been renovated, the kids’ Room was very clean. With features like a ball pit supervised by Little Planet, our child seemed to really enjoy it. This was the only part we rated highly. The large public bath had only a few washing stations, there was no view to enjoy, and it felt like a Business Hotel. Because the Hotel is an older property that has been forcibly renovated, the Room was so small that two people could barely pass each other. The food—especially the fish—was fresh and tasty, but it felt like there weren’t many options. We were more satisfied with Hotels in Hakone of a similar class.
