  We experienced various issues during our stay, and we sincerely appreciate the support from the club lounge and staff in each department. We were also happy with the gift. Since you helped us with arrangements before our stay, we brought some sweets, but the person in charge was off that day. Thank you for your repeated assistance. We had an unpleasant experience at the bar, and it was disappointing when someone who seemed to be a senior staff member said, “Shall I make it?” in a condescending manner. I understand training new staff, but I believe it should be done away from guests, not at the counter. The new staff member was not at fault; I felt it was an issue with the approach to instruction. We were also disappointed with the front desk service.

  In-room pajamas

  The provided pajamas were made of a towel-like fabric that didn’t slide easily, so I couldn’t turn over smoothly in bed and it was very uncomfortable to sleep. The texture also felt cheap and disappointing compared with the other furnishings and Facility. Also, items such as bath towels were too large for us Japanese guests and difficult to use. However, we were very satisfied with the furnishings, Facility, hospitality, service, and meals.

  More Than Expected, with a Few Disappointments

  The doorman who recognized us from our car’s license plate, opened the door, and welcomed us upon arrival was outstanding. At dinner at Ukai-tei, the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail was evident. The food was made with superb ingredients; everything was delicious and we were truly satisfied. In our Room, a lovely gift from the Hotel had been placed on the table, which made us genuinely happy. Having a dresser in the Room is very comforting for women—it makes it feel like you’re at home. The bed was soft and similar to our bed at home (maybe even the same), so I slept comfortably without any discomfort. I love club lounges and enjoy visiting club lounges at various Hotels as a hobby. One thing that bothered me slightly was that the check-in service at the club lounge felt far too casual. I also noticed that one of the female staff members in the club lounge seemed inexperienced. At this Hotel, I imagine many guests are accustomed to being served at a certain level. I think it would be beneficial for staff to experience both providing service and receiving service by staying—perhaps as training—at a luxury Hotel in Tokyo or Kyoto. That is why I gave a rating of 3. Since I haven’t seen this mentioned in other Reviews, it may have simply been an unfortunate coincidence on the day we visited. I hope for improvement next time. It is a wonderful Hotel, and you can enjoy high-value satisfaction with its beautiful Rooms, spa, and restaurants. The food and sweets in the club lounge are among the best I’ve had—both in quality and variety—ranking at the top compared with other Hotels I’ve visited. I would definitely like to return again for nourishment for my heart and some rest. Thank you very much.

  A supreme luxury hotel in Nagoya, where top passion begins to reside.

  Previously, I described this Hotel as having "top-tier specifications like an F1 machine but lacking a skilled driver to operate it." However, my impression has changed positively during this stay. Of course, the expertise of on-site staff cannot improve dramatically in just a day or two. This time, however, I was impressed by the proactive hospitality shown by the management team, including the General Manager and Assistant Manager. Their efforts to understand guests' expectations and provide an exceptional experience assured me that the Hotel is steering in a better direction. The facilities are undoubtedly among the best in Japan. Now that they are being complemented by passionate human touch, Espacio is evolving into a true luxury hotel. The journey toward perfection may still continue, but being part of this transformation as a guest is truly delightful. Thank you for your outstanding service.   I was hesitant after seeing the stunning photos, but decided to stay—and it was worth it. Truly excellent. Every material used reflects quality and attention to detail beyond appearances. The automatic bath filling, electric blinds, towel texture, wooden toothbrushes with fine materials, pillow quality, mattress firmness, bedside outlets with USB-C ports, beverages in the refrigerator, and Noritake tableware—all are of exceptional quality. The hospitality is consistent and pleasant throughout; you can feel the pride in their well-trained staff compared to previous so-called luxury accommodations I’ve experienced. The apple pie at THE GARDEN LOUNGE on the first floor is exquisite. Breakfast is available separately starting from 5,200 yen—it also features high-quality ingredients. If you're unsure about staying here—go for it! You'll discover qualities that photos alone can't convey.

  Hospitality

  This is a wonderful Hotel with an amazing atmosphere.

  I stayed for three nights over the New Year holidays. This was my fourth stay after falling in love with the art world depicting “Rinpo Kiryū” from many perspectives—six nights in total so far. It’s a Hotel as vast as a museum; I still take the wrong elevator and get lost sometimes. No matter how many times I looked around, every space was wonderful, and I never got tired of it. Nagoya Castle is also fun to see as it changes with the weather and time of day. This time there were New Year–style events such as complimentary sake on New Year’s Day and a gold-leaf activity, and it felt like there still wasn’t enough time. Even during busy periods, being able to tour the art inside the building at quieter times late at night or early in the morning felt like a true privilege of staying here. As for the restaurants, with this visit I’ve now tried them all since opening. Every one was delicious, with beautiful spaces and service—I was completely satisfied. The bar atmosphere is also excellent, and chatting with the staff was truly enjoyable. The spa is another wonderful space; I felt confident in the treatment skills, and everything was thoughtfully designed. I sincerely thank all of your staff for always welcoming me warmly and providing such considerate service, as well as the bell staff who kindly saw me off each time. I’m also always touched by the GM’s handwritten message card and the stylish welcome fruit—thank you very much. It’s reassuring to see managers and above making rounds throughout the Hotel, ensuring everything is well checked. I hope your service continues to improve while remaining consistently excellent. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

  The best ever

  It was a hotel unlike any I have experienced before. The facilities, amenities, and room were excellent. The service was outstanding. I felt there were many young staff members, bringing a sense of energy for the future. When an issue arose, the response was swift and efficient. While having no issues is important, their handling of problems was so impressive that I would love to stay again.

  All rooms in the Hotel are luxurious! A memorable Hotel you'll never forget after one visit. The staff's service is excellent, and though the price is high, it was worth staying. I will visit again if I have the chance.

  This is a truly wonderful Hotel.

  This was my third stay. I came because I missed Nagoya Castle and started by using the restaurant. I’ve become hooked on this Hotel, where you can feel an extraordinary world of art that honors Japanese culture and the arts while offering the height of luxury. There are many things you can only experience by staying here. The impact of seeing the real works is completely different from photos taken by professionals or what you see on YouTube. I highly recommend staying and scanning the QR codes attached to each piece to enjoy the world of contemporary art. The club lounge appetizers are high quality even among luxury hotels. It’s also fascinating how they incorporate many ingredients from Aichi Prefecture with thoughtful creativity. I’ve used several restaurants here as well, and every meal has been impressive. Although it had only been one month since opening, service at key points was steady, so I felt comfortable throughout. This Hotel surpasses those in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, and it brings out a sense of Nagoya without being overdone—so I wanted to return. If more affluent guests from other prefectures and overseas start flocking here, Reservations will likely become harder to secure. While it’s still relatively available, I wanted to fully enjoy this art museum Hotel—so I made four more Reservations. The castle view from the Room is wonderful; it’s a place where you wonder which one is the castle—the Hotel or the actual castle. I hear all 100 Rooms are different, so I’m looking forward to future stays.

  Sincere and heartfelt hospitality with a smile

  Welcome to the newly renovated Castle Hotel. While the hotel has been transformed into a luxurious accommodation, I was deeply moved by the heartfelt and sincere hospitality of the long-serving staff who have worked here for many years. Of course, the warm smiles and service from new staff members were also wonderful. I look forward to staying again in spring. Thank you for your excellent care during my stay. The Chinese restaurant was delicious, so I will definitely visit again. As for Japanese cuisine, I will return once it brings back the flavors of the previous Castle Hotel.

  A Luxurious Day

  A luxurious day well spent. Everything felt like an art museum, the spa was satisfying, and of course, enjoying the indoor bath with a view of Nagoya Castle made me feel like royalty. Everyone was very kind, making it a relaxing stay at the Hotel.

  Looking forward to future activities.

  Both the facilities and services were excellent. The restaurant floor, designed with a view of Nagoya Castle in mind, was luxurious and seems like it could serve as a great gathering spot for locals as well. All the restaurants featured are top-notch, likely due to the global vision of the company being effectively communicated to each restaurant owner. With one of Japan's largest conference rooms and banquet halls, this venue is not only ideal for weddings but also versatile for various events, all within beautifully designed interiors. The use of light and shadow, along with numerous artworks on display up close, creates an uplifting atmosphere. From my room, I had a stunning view of Nagoya Castle; however, it was slightly inconvenient that I couldn't raise the blinds in the bathroom. That said, the incredible location made up for it entirely. As it's still newly opened, there are currently no activities available yet. For such a high-end large-scale Hotel experience to truly stand out, exclusive experiential Plans should be offered—especially those tied to Nagoya Castle would be fantastic! Looking forward to seeing what they develop in the future!

  The Essence of Hospitality

  Inspired by the photos of Espacio Nagoya Castle featured in a magazine, I immediately searched online. The opening date of the hotel coincided with my business trip to Nagoya, so I made a reservation before its grand opening. As we approached the exterior resembling the stone walls of a new castle keep, even the taxi driver seemed overwhelmed by its grandeur. Upon arrival at the entrance, I was greeted personally by name by the doorman. The moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported to another world with breathtaking views leading up to reception. While completing check-in procedures in the lounge accompanied by matcha hospitality, the General Manager came over to greet me and even took a commemorative photo—heightening my excitement further. From my upgraded room, I enjoyed an incredible view of Nagoya Castle's majestic keep; its illuminated nightscape was truly exceptional as well. Dinner featured an exquisite tempura course paired with carefully selected sake options at reasonable prices. Conversations across the counter with the tempura chef were delightful and added charm alongside attentive service from staff members who created such an elegant atmosphere. During checkout on departure day at the taxi stand, it was astonishing to be personally seen off by none other than General Manager himself—a testament not only to his dedication but also his determination for ensuring success for this hotel. Returning after 30 years since visiting what used to be Nagoya Castle Hotel made staying at Espacio Nagoya Castle an unforgettable experience filled with profound emotions that will remain cherished forever!
