Charming Whole-House Accommodation
Thank you very much for accommodating our family recently. From the moment we received your thoughtful inquiry about children's meals and arranging the beds in advance, we were deeply impressed by your attention to detail. As we have small children, such considerate gestures were truly appreciated. Additionally, thank you for preparing adorable yukatas and toothbrushes for our preschool-aged children. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by a gentle scent of wood, allowing us to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and relax both physically and mentally. The room was clean and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Every dish made with local ingredients was carefully prepared, leaving our entire family completely satisfied. It was especially memorable to see how much the children enjoyed their meals. The access to Ise Jingu exceeded expectations, making it an ideal location as a base for sightseeing. Furthermore, there were several cafes and dining options around the hotel, so finding dinner was never an issue. We are also sincerely grateful for the warm hospitality provided by all staff members during our stay. Your smiles and detailed explanations conveyed your dedication to excellent service, making it a hotel where anyone—regardless of age—can feel safe and comfortable. This stay has become a wonderful memory for our family. We would love to visit again if given another opportunity in the future!

It was a wonderful accommodation.
We stayed at this accommodation in early June with my sister's family and our mother. I shared a room with my mother, while my sister's family stayed in a separate building. The unique style of this dispersed hotel, with accommodations scattered throughout the town, was fascinating. Each room had its own historical and architectural charm, which was truly impressive. Our accommodation was a building repurposed from a storehouse built in 1911 (Meiji 44). The space offered an extraordinary atmosphere filled with the weighty presence and elegance of the storehouse. Although there were no TVs or clocks, which we initially thought might be inconvenient, we ended up enjoying quality family time playing UNO together—a rare opportunity for bonding. The bath was particularly relaxing, filled with the soothing scent of cypress wood. From check-in onwards, the staff provided exceptionally polite and kind service. Even walking to our room after check-in (a short 2-3 minute walk) felt special as we were surrounded by charming townscapes that offered an experience unlike any other. Breakfast was incredibly luxurious! With dishes like white rice and Ise udon on offer, we wondered if we'd be able to finish it all—but both adults and children happily devoured everything. It left us completely satisfied. This is such a wonderful accommodation that I would love to visit again during another season!

A Room to Enjoy an Entire Traditional Japanese House
I visited during the early days after its opening. Having stayed at other NIPPONIA accommodations in different regions, I was intrigued to hear about the new location in Ise and realized it had been a long time since my last visit to Ise Jingu, so I decided to go. Perhaps because it was newly opened, there was a fresh scent of tatami mats, creating a unique atmosphere that felt both traditional and new despite being an old-style house. The room was a whole-house rental type, allowing me to move around freely without worry. At the entrance, there was an out-of-season shimenawa decoration that made me think, "Wait? New Year's has already passed?" Upon researching later, I found out that this region keeps shimenawa decorations up year-round. Other features like decorative transoms, hanging scrolls (which seemed related to local traditional crafts), and plates displayed on the walls were fascinating for someone interested in Japanese history and culture—I enjoyed imagining their significance or looking them up. The room itself was comfortable with no lack of functionality. There was an engawa (veranda), but one side had rain shutters closed which made it slightly dark—that's the only thing that caught my attention. Also—this is on me for not paying full attention during check-in—but later I realized there were several bottles of complimentary alcohol available in the room! Despite this oversight on my part and buying drinks from a convenience store unnecessarily, there's enough alcohol provided for most people to enjoy thoroughly. Lastly, having experienced exceptional meals at another NIPPONIA accommodation before, I had high expectations for dining here as well; however, it seems dinner service is not offered at this location—a bit disappointing. That said, staff recommended some excellent nearby restaurants where we were able to dine satisfyingly. Just note that last orders tend to be early around here; if you're planning a leisurely meal with a large group, it's best to research ahead for maximum enjoyment!

An exceptional experience. A unique Hotel located in the historic district of Kawazaki with an extraordinary atmosphere.
I visited for a pilgrimage to Ise Jingu, and it turned out to be an exceptional stay that exceeded my expectations. The Hotel is located in the historic district of "Kawasaki," just a short walk from Iseshi Station. Despite its convenient location, the area is free from crowds, offering a serene atmosphere with historical buildings lining the streets and the soothing sound of the nearby river. It was truly a perfect setting to relax and enjoy. The staff maintained a comfortable balance of attentiveness while anticipating our needs and requests. They kindly shared insights about Ise's history, local favorite spots, official pilgrimage routes, and more, which greatly enhanced our sightseeing experience. The guest room was uniquely designed as a two-story renovated warehouse. The historical charm created an atmosphere where time seemed to flow gently, allowing us to fully relax both physically and mentally—a special experience only available here. Staying in Ise allowed us to participate in the morning worship at Ise Jingu! While it’s crowded during the day, early mornings are quiet with few visitors—an unforgettable moment that felt like having this sacred space all to ourselves. In addition to visiting Ise Jingu’s approach road (Sando), exploring Kawasaki is highly recommended as well! At Kawasaki Merchant Museum (Ise Kawasaki Shoninkan), you can learn about how this town developed and its preservation efforts over time. Conversations with museum staff or shopkeepers in historic buildings also became cherished memories. Breakfast was themed around "Shinsen" (meals offered to deities) with an intriguing story behind it. The variety was delightful; every dish was exquisite! We couldn’t resist having seconds of rice and miso soup—it left us feeling refreshed both body and soul. As someone who travels multiple times annually, this Hotel ranks among my top experiences for both accommodation quality and sightseeing satisfaction. One night wasn’t enough—I plan on returning for Multiple Night Stay next summer!

A nostalgic and relaxing accommodation
The room was bright and sunny, with soft light streaming through the shoji screens in the morning, allowing for a natural and pleasant wake-up. At check-in, we were welcomed with sweets and drinks, which reflected the accommodation's thoughtful hospitality and warmth. Overall, it had a nostalgic yet clean and calming atmosphere that didn’t feel outdated, allowing us to relax and forget about daily life. I would love to visit again in a different season. A traditional yet modern Hotel
More like a Ryokan than a Hotel, yet more like a Hotel than a Ryokan. It feels like a hybrid of both. The guest room facilities are equipped with the latest amenities, while still allowing you to fully experience the charm and elegance that are rare in today's era. It feels less like traveling and more like living in the area itself. Breakfast features an array of small dishes served in tiny bowls, offering a taste of Ise's atmosphere through your palate. Rice and miso soup are available for refills. This was my first stay, but it truly allowed me to experience an extraordinary escape from daily life. I look forward to staying at other hotels in this group soon!

Experience the extraordinary by staying in a traditional warehouse-style accommodation!
This time, we visited Ise Jingu for the first time as a birthday trip. While searching for accommodation, we found a place that opened on April 25th, the same day as my birthday, and offered a stay in a traditional warehouse. We immediately made the reservation. The space was amazing, utilizing an entire warehouse built in 1911 (Meiji 44). Inside the warehouse was a loft-style design with two beds on the first floor and one more bed on the second floor. We fully enjoyed the solid and historical atmosphere of the warehouse and had an extraordinary experience. We booked with breakfast included, and thanks to the thoughtful staff, we were served different menus on each day of our stay. Both were delicious and very satisfying. The tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg) was also delightful! The surrounding area where we stayed had many retro shops, making it an excellent location overall. Next time, I would love to try staying in another type of room here. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality during our stay!
