    Accommodation supporting your pilgrimage to Ise.

    We stayed in Room 301 as a family. The spacious and wonderful layout allowed us to enjoy both the openness and solidity of the traditional storehouse design. It would be even better if there were an additional humidifier near the bedside, especially for the second floor with its open ceiling, which tends to get quite dry. The breakfast was delicious with a gentle flavor, perfect for our tired bodies. At the front desk, we received detailed guidance about visiting Ise Shrine, which was very helpful for us as we were unfamiliar with the area. The courteous service showed great care for travelers like us. Highly recommended accommodation!

    I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. I traveled with two children, and I was very impressed by the professional service of the staff. Thank you so much. Since the accommodation is a renovated warehouse, there was a note asking for understanding regarding drafts and insulation. Considering it was year-end, I brought some winter gear, but thanks to the air conditioning and fans, it was warm enough without them. At night, there were slight drafts from the windows and creaking sounds that gave me a nostalgic feeling like being at my grandmother's house—quite charming! Moving the bed slightly resolved any concerns about this entirely. However, I did notice a bit of dust in some areas. Also, due to the traditional nature of this location and building, roads are quite narrow. While it was great that we could park right in front of the accommodation itself, both parking spaces and road widths are tight; checking your vehicle size against these conditions might be helpful beforehand. Other than that minor point, I truly enjoyed an extraordinary space where I could forget daily life for a while. The breakfast provided was delicious as well! As for dinner options nearby—it’s easy to become stranded without reservations during busy times like year-end holidays; making early reservations is highly recommended! Unfortunately, I forgot to make one myself during my stay but received helpful advice from staff about nearby restaurants where we managed to enjoy an excellent meal even on short notice. If given another opportunity someday—I would love staying here again! Thank you so much once more!

    New Year's Eve Hospitality

    I stayed on New Year's Eve. At check-in, I received a detailed explanation about the history of the area around the accommodation and Ise Jingu Shrine. I have always planned my trips with the theme of "history, culture, and nature," and I felt that NIPPONIA was a perfect match for our theme. Since my reservation did not include dinner, I was wondering what to do, but the hotel staff kindly provided me with a list of restaurants open around New Year's Day in an organized table format. This stay made me want to cherish not only "history, culture, and nature" but also "connections." I would like to stay at NIPPONIA HOTEL Ise-Kawasaki Merchant Town again and also explore other NIPPONIA accommodations in different regions.

    This is the perfect accommodation for your Ise pilgrimage!

    This was my second stay in Ise after three years, and it was the best accommodation experience I've ever had. I arrived in Ise at 10:40 and asked to leave my luggage, but they kindly accommodated me for check-in right away. They provided dinner recommendations nearby, arranged breakfast for my picky child, offered sightseeing guidance, and even helped with other concerns—a truly exceptional concierge experience. Room 301 is a renovated footwear shop from the Meiji era, but it was incredibly comfortable to stay in. I would love to try other Nipponia locations as well as revisit this one in Ise. Thank you very much!

    The Best Experience

    Stayed for 2 days. It was an amazing experience. Details below: - Room Stayed in Room 302. The building has a unique design, built around a traditional storehouse, which surprised me at first glance. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The bathroom and toilet were separate, with the toilet being the latest model from TOTO. The bath was very clean; while it wasn’t a cypress tub, it was spacious and satisfying. - Service The service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and even shared insights about Ise’s history and culture with us—thank you so much! - Meals I only ordered breakfast, which had a wide variety of dishes and tasted delicious. They changed the menu over the two days, so I never got bored of it. - Summary This accommodation provided an exceptional experience overall—great room, service, meals, and location! It’s perfect if your goal is to visit the shrine or explore nearby attractions. Thank you to everyone at this accommodation!

    The Streets of Ise

    NIPPONIA HOTEL Every year during this season, I visit Ise for a pilgrimage and sightseeing, and this time was my first stay here. Ise Kawasaki Merchant Town ASAGIRI Located within walking distance from Geku Shrine, passing through the beautiful streets of Geku Sando leads to an accommodation that preserves the charm of traditional Japanese townscapes. This time, I stayed for one night and enjoyed dinner around Iseshi Station in the evening. What stood out most was the breakfast made with the same ingredients offered as sacred food to Amaterasu Omikami—it was incredibly delicious. The accommodation is still new and provided a relaxing stay. While there were no issues with amenities, perhaps due to the concept or just my room specifically, it felt a bit too minimalistic with nothing placed in it, leaving me slightly wanting more. Additionally, since my room was located at some distance from the front desk, having transportation assistance during breakfast hours would have been appreciated. Next time, I look forward to experiencing another room!

    I was able to fully experience a sense of escape from the ordinary.

    We stayed for one night as a couple during our first visit to Ise. Since the Hotel just opened in April this year, everything was very clean and beautiful. The Room was spacious enough for two people, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing and extraordinary experience. The front desk staff were very kind and even shared insights about the charm of Ise, which sparked further interest in the area. For breakfast, we had the option to choose between rice with raw egg or Ise lobster miso soup as an add-on; we opted for the rice with raw egg this time and were fully satisfied with our meal. If I may make one small suggestion, it would be great if alcoholic drinks in the Room could be provided per person. We look forward to visiting other hotels in this chain when we have another opportunity!

    Stay at the Hotel and visit Ise Shrine.

    This was a Plan to visit Ise just to stay here. The Hotel is on the opposite side of the tracks from Geku, so it’s a bit far if your main purpose is visiting Ise Jingu. However, if you want to explore the town as well as visit Ise Jingu, this is an excellent Hotel. I stayed alone, and the Room was spacious—almost too much for one person! The design made me think, "I’d love to live here." Breakfast was delicious and felt healthy. The front desk staff were very kind, making my stay pleasant throughout. I would love to visit again!

While I initially had concerns about potential issues like insects, air conditioning, noise from neighbors, or water pressure due to its somewhat traditional appearance, there were no problems at all. For dinner recommendations, they kindly introduced us to popular local restaurants and shops while advising us on making reservations early—thanks to their advice; we avoided any trouble finding dinner options. The highlight was definitely the bedding; even in winter, it kept us warm enough for a comfortable sleep despite waking up around 4 AM for an early start. After completing our morning visit to Geku Shrine (Outer Shrine), we enjoyed breakfast incorporating "Shinsen" offerings—a delicate yet flavorful meal that felt gentle on our slightly tired bodies.     I made a Reservation for a long-awaited Ise-Shima tour with friends from my school days, as it's within walking distance to the Outer Shrine of Ise Jingu. It was refreshing to immerse myself in the traditional Japanese atmosphere after a long time. The hospitality was excellent, and breakfast featured high-quality ingredients that were delicious. For dinner, there are several nearby restaurants, making it very convenient! The old townscape is also charming and enjoyable. Thank you to everyone for your care!

    Delicious breakfast

    The room was very clean and spacious. Although the bath was not an onsen or a large public bath, it was clean, had a pleasant wooden scent, and provided a relaxing experience. Breakfast was well-seasoned dish by dish, and my mother, who is about to celebrate her 77th birthday, finished everything. The man at the front desk was very pleasant and made our stay enjoyable. Thank you very much. However, there were some concerns about soundproofing and security. The sliding door had an electronic auto-lock but left a slight gap without an internal lock; upon entering the entrance, the living room could be seen directly ahead. A partition in between would have helped reduce outside noise. Since each building is scattered along narrow streets in a residential area rather than within one property, every time cars passed by, the sound of them hitting drainage covers echoed loudly; it felt somewhat unsettling at night. I understood why earplugs were available among the complimentary amenities in the front desk building after experiencing this situation myself. We chose this accommodation for visiting Ise Jingu Shrine but realized it was on the opposite side of the station from where we needed to go—so with elderly family members accompanying us, taking a taxi became necessary due to our oversight. Additionally, there wasn’t any TV in our room; while we had plenty of free time upon arrival that day which made passing time challenging initially—it turned out nice as we could relax leisurely instead. As someone sensitive to smells or dust particles overall though—I found everything highly satisfactory! I’d love exploring other accommodations under this same group someday too!

    We stayed as a family of three. The Hotel is a renovated old house, giving it a cozy and compact feel. While many rooms are separate buildings, we stayed on the second floor above the reception area. Upon check-in, we received explanations about Ise Kawasaki and the shrine, showing their efforts to create a Hotel loved by locals. The Room felt new and comfortable with no inconveniences at all; my wife and child were very impressed. Being a repurposed traditional house, nearby sounds were noticeable but did not disturb our relaxing stay. Without a TV in the Room, it was quiet—while I fell asleep quickly, my family thoroughly enjoyed the unique atmosphere not found at home. The spacious Room allowed us to unwind fully. The breakfast the next morning was delicious! While optional dishes like egg over rice or lobster miso soup were tasty, we felt satisfied even without adding extras. Each dish came with an explanation that enhanced our dining experience—we finished everything without leaving any leftovers. If there’s room for improvement, perhaps reducing microwave noise would enhance satisfaction further. Even so, it was an excellent Hotel overall. Thank you very much!

    A Long-Awaited Visit to Ise

    It was my first trip to Ise in decades. The staff were very knowledgeable, allowing me to learn a lot about Ise. As for the facility, it retained its traditional architecture while being renovated, making it very comfortable. If I may add, having an Onsen would have been even better. It would also be nice to have more bath towels available. The meals were excellent, featuring plenty of ingredients from Ise and offering a fulfilling dining experience. For those planning to enjoy dinner at local izakayas or sushi restaurants around Ise, this place is highly recommended!

The staff warmly welcomed us and provided detailed explanations about the hotel's history, the traditions, and the history of Ise Jingu. The room was a renovated two-story warehouse from the Meiji era, spacious enough with a pleasant wooden scent, very clean, and perfectly air-conditioned for a comfortable stay. We also appreciated the free drinks, including alcoholic beverages. The breakfast inspired by Ise Jingu was absolutely satisfying—simply outstanding. If given another opportunity, we would love to visit again. If I may add some suggestions: having a TV in the room would have been even better. Also, it would be nice if billing confirmation at checkout could be discreetly handed over in an envelope (as this was an accommodation where I invited my friend).     We’ve discovered a new way to enjoy Ise.

    I discovered that Ise City has many restaurants serving delicious food. While deciding where to stay, I chose NIPPONIA, which I had visited in Nara and Mino before. This was the best of my past NIPPONIA experiences. The atmosphere of the town, the setting of the Accommodation, the warm hospitality of the staff, and the beautiful interior and exterior all made me want to return. I think I’ll be visiting Ise Shrine more often from now on.

    Highly recommended for visiting Ise Jingu!

    I stayed in Room KAMIJI 401 at NIPPONIA HOTEL Ise-Kawasaki Merchant Town and had an overall very satisfying experience. While the main purpose of my visit was to worship at Ise Jingu, it is worth noting that the distance to Naiku for early morning visits requires some consideration. However, the hotel is surrounded by many charming izakayas, making it an excellent location for evening strolls and dining. The room had a traditional and tasteful atmosphere, providing a very comfortable stay. Although the bathroom had a window, there was no view to enjoy outside, which was slightly disappointing. Nevertheless, bath salts were provided, allowing me to relax both physically and mentally. The local craft beer available in the room added extra enjoyment to my trip. Breakfast portions were modest but of high quality with each dish being delicious. The tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg) ordered for an additional charge was particularly outstanding and enhanced my satisfaction further. Additionally, the hotel's garden was beautifully maintained and complemented the overall ambiance of the accommodation. While it may not be the most convenient base for visiting Ise Jingu due to its location, this accommodation offers more than enough charm through its townscape and unique character. It is highly recommended for those seeking a tranquil atmosphere or wishing to savor food and space at their leisure.

    The room on the second floor of the building with the front desk is said to be the smallest in this hotel, but it was spacious enough for three people. A convenience store is nearby, and breakfast was conveniently accessible just by going downstairs. The staff's attentiveness was excellent, and I would love to stay here again. For dinner, we went to an Italian restaurant recommended by the hotel's guide, which offered reasonable prices and a pleasant experience. Breakfast (though I personally am not a fan of Japanese cuisine) was inspired by offerings at Ise Jingu Shrine and was very "intriguing" to enjoy. It became a wonderful memory that felt different from staying at an ordinary hotel. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the distance from the station is neither too far nor too close, making it slightly confusing whether or not to take a taxi. During extreme heat, we opted for a taxi due to carrying suitcases; however, walking from the station wouldn't be too difficult if you have less luggage. As for Onsen or baths, there are no Onsen or large public baths available here; also with no dinner provided on-site, these factors might lower its score in simple terms. However, as a Hotel overall—it’s truly outstanding!

    We had the pleasure of staying in a charming and historic accommodation. The room was bright and spacious, with impressive beams and elegant sliding doors that exuded a sense of history. The subtle scent of wood brought peace to both my husband and me. The service was exceptional, with thoughtful attention to detail and warm hospitality unique to Ise. All the staff were courteous and pleasant. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, so much so that we eagerly looked forward to it on our second morning during our two-night stay. When we visit Ise again, my husband and I agreed that this hotel and its breakfast will be the highlight of our trip! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ise Shrine!

    Clean and comfortable

    Stayed with 4 people. The parking lot is about a 1-minute walk away, making it convenient. The bedroom on the second floor was spacious and comfortable to sleep in. There were toilets on both the first and second floors, which was very helpful. The free drinks in the refrigerator were a nice touch. The cypress bath was clean, and the bath salts felt great; we used it both in the evening and morning. The front building is about a 3-minute walk away, and the healthy Japanese meals were delicious. Even during a hot summer day, the air conditioning worked well, allowing us to stay cool comfortably. Would love to stay again if given another opportunity!

    I previously stayed at NIPPONIA HOTEL in Hakodate, and this time I chose to stay here while visiting Ise Jingu. The room, designed in a traditional warehouse style, was so wonderful that I lost track of time. During check-in, the staff provided a detailed explanation about Ise Jingu, which was very informative and easy to understand. The welcome sweets, yokan, were absolutely delicious.     Had an interesting experience.

    This time, as there was no suitable accommodation available, I used this type of accommodation for the first time and had a better experience than expected. I was particularly impressed with how well-cleaned the spacious room was. The drawbacks were that the location was hard to find and contacting them initially led to calling the main office, making communication a bit difficult. The breakfast was very delicious, but overall it had a mild flavor. Since I chose porridge, I thought it would have been nice to have more pickled plums, seaweed, or sweet bean paste available.

    I invited my family who live far away.

    My parents, who usually live in Kyushu, came to visit and stayed for a two-night stay. First of all, the room was spacious and absolutely wonderful. It was more than enough space for four adults, and the private accommodation had a nostalgic yet relaxing atmosphere. Although we had plans to go out on the first day, the room was so comfortable that we ended up spending time relaxing there instead. On the second day, we explored nearby attractions such as Futamiura, Geku Shrine, and Naiku Shrine to fully enjoy Ise. (The hotel staff kindly informed us during check-in that this route follows a traditional pilgrimage path from the Edo period.) This was all possible thanks to its convenient location—just about 15 minutes by car! Even with lots of souvenirs in hand, moving around wasn’t difficult at all. We didn’t experience any typical post-sightseeing exhaustion upon returning to our room; everything about our trip remained comfortable throughout. On our final morning after breakfast, we took a stroll near the hotel where traditional townscapes still remain intact. There were charming spots like museums and old houses converted into cafes (the hayashi rice at one of these cafes was incredibly delicious). It turned out to be an extremely satisfying trip until the very end! My parents were also delighted with their visit to Ise—it made me so happy to see them enjoy it so much. I would love to stay at this hotel again someday. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    I stayed here upon a friend's recommendation, and the accommodation, which is a renovated house and storehouse, had a wonderful atmosphere.
