Magokoro no Tabiyado
The departure amidst what was said to be the largest cold wave was worrisome, but the snowy scenery in Takayama was wonderful. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a drink and zenzai. The room is spacious and comfortable. I am pleased with the attention to detail in providing ReFa series items like shampoo, treatment, hairdryer, and beauty devices for rent. We had made a reservation for a private bath in advance, but I was delighted that the room's bath was large enough to enjoy at any time during our stay. All rooms have access to a lounge where my husband enjoyed milk and fruit before breakfast and coffee afterward at leisure. In the evening, there are also alcohol and light snacks available. Meals are served at 168 Residence right in front of us; moving through falling snow felt quite nice. The dishes were very delicious due to both their presentation and quality ingredients; especially Hida beef which was outstanding. At the end of last year when my son's family visited they recommended it saying we would love it too. Recently visiting Ryoshuku Ichiryu (Ichiryu) for our sapphire wedding anniversary wanting some quiet time together turned out great! Thank you very much!

Perfect for a girls' trip
This is my second stay. This time, I stayed with four friends! Since it was a girls' trip, we were delighted that the room was lovely and that the hairdryer, showerhead, and rental hair iron were all from ReFa. The amenities were also well-stocked, which helped us travel light. When we checked in, one of my friend's shoes got wet inside from the snow. A staff member noticed this and kindly dried her shoes for her! We were impressed by their attentive and detailed service. The lounge had a great selection of snacks and drinks, which made our conversations with friends even more enjoyable. My friends were very satisfied with everything—the room, meals, lounge, and the service provided by all the staff members. Our trip with old friends became a wonderful memory! I think this property is perfect for a girls' trip.

We were concerned about your friend's shoes getting wet on the way back, but we're glad she could go out wearing dry shoes in the morning. This morning in Hida Takayama it was minus 11 degrees Celsius. It seems spring is still far away. However, when spring comes, it will be the season for delicious wild vegetables and Hida's produce to be harvested. Please come again to enjoy the seasonal flavors of Hida Takayama. It was a wonderful stay filled with unforgettable memories!
I arrived earlier than expected, even though I was informed that parking would be available from 12:00. I called the Ryokan just in case, and they kindly informed me, "It's available now," allowing me to park earlier than planned. Thanks to this, I was able to leisurely stroll through the old town streets. - Check-in During check-in, there was a welcome drink service with several options to choose from. I was tempted by all the delicious-looking choices but decided on the staff-recommended hot apple drink. The warm apple juice had a more concentrated flavor than the cold version, and the subtle hint of cinnamon was exquisite! I even thought about trying to make it at home. - Room The Room was very clean and comfortable. Although it was a Western-style Room, it had a tatami space, and the gentle afternoon sunlight created a relaxing atmosphere. - Premium Lounge The lounge offered different light snacks and sweets depending on the time of day, and draft beer was available until 18:30. Since it was before dinner, I kept it light, but I was still very satisfied! I also enjoyed it thoroughly after the Onsen and breakfast. - Dinner Every dish at dinner was exquisite! My favorite was the Jerusalem artichoke soup. It had a gentle yet deep flavor that warmed me from the inside out. The carefully prepared dishes reflected the chef's dedication. - Onsen On the first floor, there were three private Onsen, two of which did not require a Reservation, while one was Reservation-only. I took the opportunity to enjoy the Reservation-only Onsen. After the Onsen, I relaxed further in the massage chair, completely rejuvenating from the travel fatigue. - Amenities The amenities were well-stocked, including cleansing products, lotion, and emulsion, as well as the latest equipment from the ReFa series. The rental items included ReFa hair irons, facial devices, finger massagers, and even yoga mats, making the time spent in the Room very comfortable. - Hospitality Above all, the warm hospitality of the staff was outstanding, making the stay truly relaxing. I would love to visit again! Thank you very much!
