    A Journey of Relaxation~

    I was looking for accommodations in Chiba to create summer memories with my daughter! The appearance of an IKYU coupon became the perfect opportunity, and although it was a bit luxurious for us, we decided to visit this accommodation we had always wanted to try! The result was total satisfaction. We especially loved the pool. The hospitality of the staff at the accommodation was excellent, and we would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much for taking care of us!

    It was excellent.

    I have stayed several times at Accommodation Shinra in Tateyama and had a wonderful experience, so I visited the one in Yoro as well. The room, Onsen, meals, and staff were all excellent. I would love to visit again.

    A Wonderful Stay

    It was a very lovely stay. The pool is an open-air bath style with a view of the river. Our Room was 101, and since my grandmother was with us, it was convenient being close to everything like the restaurant. However, I noticed that the sofa moves slightly when sitting on it, and the toilet has only a curtain for privacy, which can be uncomfortable if someone else is at the sink. Additionally, there are curtains by the fence to block visibility from outside, but this also limits the view. Without them, it would have been more open and enjoyable. Staying on the second floor might be better for this reason. Next time, I plan to stay in a second-floor room or one along the riverside!

    Had a wonderful time.

    We visited on a weekday. We had heard about the construction of a hotel in Yoro Valley before and were looking forward to its opening. We have stayed at hotels from the Hanashibuki Group several times and are always very satisfied. The room had an amazing view facing the river, and we were thrilled to see cormorants chasing small fish. The staff's attentive service, meals with abundant ingredients, the heated pool, onsen, spacious functional rooms—everything was perfect. The autumn foliage season must be exceptional. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you very much!

    The food was disappointing.

    The Facility and staff were excellent, but the food was very disappointing. The view of the stream from the Room was calming and brought a sense of peace. The heated pool was enjoyable as well. However, the pool restroom was extremely small, making it difficult for my mother to adjust her pants inside. Both the nighttime and morning atmospheres at the pool were lovely in their own ways. Due to its location, there are many insects both inside and outside; those who dislike bugs should be prepared. The Hotel provides thorough measures such as sprays and mosquito coils! I had a relaxing stay overall. The paid sauna with an open-air bath is great for sauna enthusiasts, but if you’re not into saunas, it’s not particularly necessary to use it. The cold water bath meant for cooling down had many insects floating in it—this is likely unavoidable given the location. However, only the meals were truly disappointing. Hoping for improvements in this area... I look forward to visiting again someday!

    Relax

    The weather was great, and the stay was very comfortable. I felt reassured by the careful inquiry about ingredients I dislike beforehand. The Room was clean, and the bath was spacious. The black hot spring made my skin smooth as described in its benefits. The new-style open-air bath "Poo-ro" was also enjoyable. Oh, and the fluffy bathrobes in the Room were incredibly comfortable! Both the quantity and quality of meals were excellent. The staff's service was impeccable, allowing me to relax completely. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much!

    Would love to stay again.

    The "Puro," a fusion of a pool and Onsen, was amazing. Bathing while watching the river flow created an incredible atmosphere. The Room also had its own Onsen, which was fantastic.

    Satisfied with the open-air bath

    This was my first time staying here. The Hotel opened in spring, and I was very satisfied with the brand-new Facility and the open-air bath. The dinner, featuring creative cuisine, was also delicious.

    It was the best stay.

    I stayed with a one-night plan including two meals. The meals incorporated local ingredients, offering a variety of dishes that were not only delicious but also visually delightful. The wide selection allowed me to enjoy small portions of various dishes, which was very appreciated as Ryokan meals are often too large to finish despite being tasty. At the Onsen with an open-air bath, the silky waters left my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. There were quite a few insects on summer nights, so next time I’d like to visit in autumn when it’s cooler and I can also enjoy the autumn foliage.

    The open-air bath in the Room was excellent!

    A domestic trip decided because my daughter wanted to visit an Onsen. Just under two hours from home, the location was perfect. The Ryokan was clean, and upon arrival, we could enjoy complimentary highballs, lemon sours, and beer in the lounge—absolutely amazing! The food was delicious as well! The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming!! However, one downside was the smell... Perhaps due to high humidity, there was a noticeable odor in the Room. Additionally, the changing room of the public bath had a strong unpleasant smell—I almost wanted to leave the door open while changing. If there were pleasant aromatherapy scents throughout the Ryokan (though there were small diffusers here and there that didn’t seem effective), it would greatly enhance satisfaction!

    The views from the e...

    The views from the entire facility, the Onsen, and the pool were spectacular. However, regarding the meals, there seems to be some room for improvement. The dinner's signature dish, Bagna Cauda, was disappointing as the vegetables were not very tasty. The appetizer portions also felt too small. On a positive note, the meat dishes and hot pot served later in the meal were excellent; enhancing the earlier courses would make for a more balanced experience. For breakfast, being able to get refills of your favorite items was an interesting concept; however, it was disappointing that some refilled items were of lower quality than those initially served—especially with watermelon that consisted mostly of rind. I look forward to visiting again and hope for improvements in your cuisine!

    Enjoy breathtaking views

    I previously had a great experience at Shinra in Tateyama, so I was excited to visit their new location in Yoro Valley. As expected, the view from the Room was stunning, with a breathtaking cliffside right in front of us. The staff were all very friendly and provided excellent service, making our stay comfortable. The meals were beautifully presented and delicious, offering both visual and culinary enjoyment. However, the serving pace felt slightly fast; while it suited us well, others might find it a bit rushed. The Room was new and comfortable overall, but there was an unusual smell (possibly from an air freshener?) coming from the closet area that was slightly disappointing. That said, we were satisfied with our stay overall—including the price—and are considering returning next time by train for a more relaxed trip!

    Healing Trip

    The trip was a spontaneous decision, but it turned out to be amazing! The design of the room was unique and unlike anything I’ve experienced before, which made it even better. If I had to point out something, the lounge felt a bit small, and there were quite a lot of bugs around the private open-air bath at night. The sound of the river was incredibly soothing! I’d love to visit again if I get the chance.

    Unfortunately.

    This is not an accommodation worth the 120,000 yen including tax. The room, building, and staff are average; however, the food is the worst ever. Offering this as acceptable is questionable. I would never want to stay here again.

    Great value for money!

    Although it was unfortunately rainy, the riverside Room had a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. We were transported to and from the Room by cart, which felt like an attraction and was quite enjoyable. The meals were absolutely delicious! Additionally, I was surprised that all breakfast items were available for unlimited refills. I would love to visit again. P.S. I forgot to mention on my way out—there were fireflies!

    The Room was clean, and the service was excellent. If I may suggest, it would be nice to have a bucket and mirror in the shower booth, and it would be great if we could adjust the bath temperature ourselves.

    Reverse Escape Room is amazing!

    A 1.5-hour drive from central Tokyo, this accommodation is perfect for immersing yourself in nature and escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. The moment you step into the room, you'll be captivated by its beautiful interior and private space surrounded by a valley. The open washroom area, sloped ceilings and staircase creating a sense of unity with the outdoors, and the highlight—a private open-air bath—are all impressive features. The dining experience was equally exceptional. Each dish showcased an abundance of mountain and seafood delicacies with meticulous attention to detail. The well-paced course service and pleasant hospitality left a great impression. They also kindly accommodated our request for a maternity menu, allowing us to fully enjoy both the flavors and moments without worry. The private open-air bath and pool were delightful, with every service thoughtfully provided to ensure enjoyment at every corner of the property. The amenities and equipment in the room were modern, stylishly curated down to even small details. In the morning, we noticed that once mosquito coils ran out, insects gathered quickly; those concerned about this might prefer visiting during colder seasons. Personally, I would love to return during autumn foliage season. I genuinely look forward to staying at other accommodations managed by Shinra in the future!

    It was excellent.

    It was a rainy day, but being along the mountain stream added a charming atmosphere, and we had a very relaxing stay. The room wasn't particularly spacious, but the sense of openness from the bath and terrace was exceptional. The triangular open-air bath was much larger than it appeared in the photos on the website. Having an onsen cold bath was also a nice touch. Traveling as a couple once or twice every month is our hobby, and we've been to many places, but when we opened the door and saw the view, we couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" with excitement. The meals were delicious as well, making this accommodation one that we definitely want to visit again. The only thing that caught my attention was that perhaps the lounge felt small compared to the number of guest rooms? It always seemed quite busy whenever we went there. Also, it seemed like restocking snacks took some time? Maybe it was just bad timing for us, but I missed out on trying the bamboo charcoal burger—what a shame! That said, this has become one of our favorite accommodations. We look forward to visiting again in another season—thank you so much!

    A lovely accommodation in Yoro Valley

    I stayed at SHINRA YORO VALLEY, located along the Yoro River flowing through the Boso Peninsula, to spend a relaxing time. I chose a room with a sauna. Since it was summer, the greenery of the trees was soothing. The room faced the Yoro River and featured floor-to-ceiling glass windows offering views of lush green trees, the flowing river, visible geological layers of the Boso Peninsula, and the sound of gentle streams. I imagine that visiting in autumn would offer stunning views of colorful foliage. The room also had a riverside terrace with an open-air bath where I could relax while soaking in warm water. Even in winter, having a sauna makes it enjoyable. Though compact for two people, there is also a cold-water bath on the terrace. A gas stove is installed to keep you warm enough and self-pouring (löyly) is available as well. The seating area is positioned above the top edge of the stove for optimal comfort—perfect for unwinding during winter stays too. For breakfast, you can either visit their restaurant or have them deliver bento boxes to your room. Staying for two or more nights is highly recommended!

    Blissful Moments

    The Premium River Scape Room was amazing. I've never felt so reluctant to check out before. The Room was, of course, beautifully clean, but the private veranda with an Onsen and sofa was so incredible that I spent most of my time there. Plus, enjoying the sauna and relaxing made time fly by. I will definitely stay here again!
