    A quiet Hotel.

    At the start of summer vacation, my elementary-school-aged son and I stayed two nights at another Hotel in the resort, then spent our final night here. The staff were truly pleasant and welcoming. Before our stay, when we stopped by to use the shuttle bus, a sudden rain shower hit, and they quickly brought us an umbrella from the Hotel—something we really appreciated. Since we played in the pool, having a washer-dryer in the Room was extremely convenient. It was also wonderful to be able to see Shigira Beach from the bath. Perhaps because there is no restaurant or shop on-site, it was a calm and quiet Hotel where we could relax. For breakfast, we had a Japanese set meal next door at Mirage. Everything was delicious, starting with Miyakojima’s traditional katsuo “chuu-jiru” soup. Our son doesn’t eat much, so they kindly switched him to the kids’ menu, and he was very satisfied. We were also able to join the sea turtle feeding at the buffet restaurant. If I had one request: since there’s a pool right in front of you, it would be convenient if you could buy pool supplies or small items inside the building. Also, since the complimentary drinks in the refrigerator were two Orion beers and two bottles of sanpin tea, I would have been happy if there were some juices for children as well. The place is stylish and I couldn’t even tell where any vending machines might be—were there any inside? The bath amenities are Panpuri. There are no facial items such as toner. (This may depend on the Plan.)

    It was a very satisfying trip to Miyakojima.

    We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in July. It’s a new, very clean Hotel, and the moment we stepped inside, we felt, “We’re glad we came.” The Room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff’s hospitality was truly pleasant—we were able to enjoy our stay comfortably throughout. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. Even with a Reservation for 7:00 a.m., we had to wait over an hour. Spending precious morning time waiting for breakfast feels like such a waste. Considering the venue serves as the breakfast area for two large hotels, it felt like the capacity was insufficient. The selection was limited, and refills were slow. Also, if dinner quality across Shigira Resort improves one more level overall, I think it will become a resort where guests can confidently enjoy a Multiple Night Stay or longer stays. At Shigira Beach, we were able to see sea turtles and Nemo as well. Other than that, there is truly nothing to complain about. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Miyakojima in Summer

    On Miyakojima, I loved Shigira Mirage, so this time I made a Reservation for a beachfront Room. The Hotel was new, clean, and wonderful. They also upgraded our Room to an ocean-view Room; the weather was great so the view was beautiful, and at night the full moon made the moon road spectacular. For breakfast, we were satisfied with the Japanese set at Mirage and the new DEA. For dinner, we made a Reservation at With Blue in Shigira Resort and everything was delicious. It was disappointing that there is no convenience store or shops in the Hotel. All of the staff were kind and the service was excellent. I would like to stay here again when I visit Miyakojima.

    It became a wonderful memory.

    My wife, our child, my wife’s parents, and I stayed for three nights. I had been to Miyakojima before, but it was the first time for the other four. Everyone said they became fans of Miyakojima, and I believe staying at Shigira Mirage Beachfront played a big part in that. The Room was spotless, the staff welcomed us warmly, and the beach was just steps from the Hotel with countless tropical fish. It truly felt like a natural aquarium—we even saw sea turtles. I can’t believe such a wonderful place exists in Japan.\nWe will definitely return.

    Does the whole resort feel a bit off?

    I visited Shigira Resort for the first time in two years. It was my first stay at Beach Front and it was beautiful, but since the buildings are constructed in the same style as Mirage and others, it didn’t feel particularly new or different. The dining quality within the resort has dropped significantly. At the yakiniku restaurant, the champagne and wine menu had been removed, and other lunch spots offered only limited lunch menus—overall options were heavily reduced, and the sense of luxury was gone. The Beach Front pool is small, and Mirage’s pool was full of sand; there were no trash bins and no lifeguards on duty at all times. With unlimited champagne (Louis Roederer) from morning, I couldn’t tell whether this is meant to be family-oriented or aimed at a luxury clientele. The buildings and amenities are decent, but it’s hard to ignore a run-down feeling. Also, perhaps due to staffing shortages, there are many foreign staff members, and there were times when subtle communication nuances were difficult. In peak season especially, it doesn’t feel worth the price for our family, so we will look for another Hotel resort next time.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    This is a new and truly beautiful Hotel. From the moment I stepped into the entrance, I felt glad I came. Needless to say, the Room was very comfortable, and the staff’s hospitality was wonderful as well. For dinner, I ate steak at Shinkiro, soba at Saikai, and visited the izakaya Subaru; all were reasonably priced and delicious, and I was very satisfied. Breakfast at the buffet was good too, but the Japanese set meal at Shinkiro was outstanding. There was a wide variety of dishes, and I could enjoy a relaxing meal while looking out over the golf course.

    A washing machine is available for your convenience.

    This is my second stay because it’s close to Shigira Beach, and having a washing machine in the Room is very convenient. This time the weather was bad so we couldn’t use the beach, but after playing at the beach, having a washing machine in the Room is a big plus. We stayed 2 nights with breakfast included. The buffet was crowded both times, so we had Japanese breakfast on both days. The menu was different each day, which was nice. During bad weather, it’s a bit inconvenient that you have to leave the building to buy daily necessities, snacks, and drinks.

    Miyakojima Hotel Information

    As this was my first trip to Miyakojima, I booked two nights each at the Hilton and Shigira Mirage Beachfront. I truly realized that choosing a Hotel on Miyakojima depends greatly on what you value most. The beach at Shigira Mirage has many rocks and stones, so it’s not ideal for barefoot play, but if you bring snorkeling gear you can still see fish. For those who own a condominium or don’t have a rental car arranged, this resort may be convenient since there are buses and tuk-tuks available for getting around. There are many staff members, but in general it feels like you handle Reservations yourself via an app or the Hotel’s designated website. We used the pool at Shigira Mirage Hotel. The Beachfront Rooms are spacious and come with a kitchen and washing machine, which seems convenient for families. Hospitality felt inconsistent and somewhat disappointing. There often isn’t anyone near the Hotel entrance, so during seasons when parking fills up, it could be inconvenient. If I visit Miyakojima again in future years, I don’t think I would choose Shigira Seven Miles. I also wish more complimentary services were included in the stay cost—for example towel service by the poolside, floats/inflatables, or complimentary water.

    Moving Rooms

    Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a typhoon, and I imagine it was very difficult for the staff. We were told to evacuate from Beach Front to Shigira Mirage, so we had to move Rooms. I understand it was due to nature, but since we paid a significant amount specifically for Beach Front, it was disappointing. However, all of the staff were wonderful.

    About Lounge Hours

    The staff were very attentive and provided pleasant service. The Facility is still new, so I had no issues during my stay. The only disappointment was the lounge hours: it opens from 3:00 PM. On the day of checkout, I had planned to spend time in the lounge until my airport shuttle, so it was disappointing that the lounge was only available from 3:00 PM.

    Simply wonderful.

    This was my second stay for 3 nights and 4 days. I couldn’t forget the comfort, location, and the view from the window from my first visit, so I chose Shigira Mirage Beachfront again without hesitation. I will choose this place next time as well.

    More of a condominium than a Hotel.

    I stayed here for snorkeling because it’s close to Shigira Beach, which I’ve visited several times on sea turtle tours. There are no restaurants or shops inside the building, so it felt more like a condominium than a Hotel. The beach was crowded and had an active vibe. If you want to relax while enjoying Miyakojima’s beautiful ocean views, you may be better off choosing another location. The Room was clean, and having a washing machine was convenient and appreciated.

    I had been really lo...

    I had been really looking forward to this stay, so it was disappointing to encounter a few issues. First, there were very few amenities. When I contacted the front desk, I was told they would be delivered, but they never arrived. Also, although two of us were staying, only one face mask pack was provided, which made me feel there was a lack of attention to detail. In addition, at breakfast on the second day at “Shinkiro,” the service from a female staff member was very disappointing. She placed the tray down forcefully without saying anything, and soy sauce splashed onto my clothes, yet there was no considerate response. During breakfast as well, staff members were whispering to each other while looking in our direction, which made me feel very uncomfortable. This did not feel like paranoia—it clearly came across as being directed at us and ruined what should have been an enjoyable trip. The location and the Facility itself are wonderful, so I hope customer service will improve.

    Wonderful Hotel

    Both the Facility and the service are truly excellent, without exaggeration. I had the Japanese set breakfast at Shinkiro, and everything was delicious—the variety of dishes and the quality of each item were great. Many of the staff were foreigners, but their Japanese and attentiveness were excellent, which made our stay very comfortable. The Room was very clean. Although we didn’t use them this time, it also had a washer-dryer combo and an electric cooktop, which seemed very convenient. I’d love to stay here again if I have the chance.

    It was very comfortable.

    This was my first time in Miyakojima, and I stayed here. Both the room and the hospitality were excellent, making my stay very comfortable. The weather was great, so the ocean-view scenery was amazing. I also appreciated having a washer-dryer in the room. The breakfast buffet at Turtle Bay and every meal we had within Shigira Resort were delicious, and we had a very pleasant stay.

    This is Hawaii.

    As it was a new Hotel, I was a little anxious at first, but the staff’s service was perfect, and the view from the Room made me feel as if I were in Hawaii. The bath was also designed with Japanese guests in mind and was excellent. I’m happy that a wonderful Hotel has opened at Shigira Resort. I plan to stay again next year, so thank you in advance.

    Miyakojima Golf Trip

    We stayed for three nights at Shigira Mirage Beachfront in the Premier Suite, 2-Bedroom Ocean View. Our trips to Miyakojima are mainly for golf, and Shigira Resort has excellent access from all three golf courses. This time, the three of us stayed with our daughter. When traveling as a group of three, we always hope for two toilets, and this Room had everything we wanted—two toilets with a washing machine included. Since it is quite expensive, we used discounts and hometown tax donations. Both the Room and the service were outstanding. Tempura Tensho was delicious. The next day at Turtle Bay, we didn’t have a course Reservation, so it took quite a while. Looking around, food service seemed slow overall as well, so there may be room for improvement. For that reason, I rated dining 4 stars. However, breakfast at Turtle Bay was great. We would love to stay here again for another golf trip.

    It’s brand new, so it feels great.

    After staying at Mirage for two nights, we chose this place for the final day. The view was excellent, it was quiet, and we slept well. We’ve stayed at many Hotels across the whole country, but I usually can’t sleep well and had almost given up—so I was surprised that I slept soundly at both Mirage properties. The cart was a bit difficult until we got used to it because the roads were hard to follow, but it was a lot of fun. Since we had a rental car, I didn’t think we needed it much, but I wish we had used it from the first day. All the staff were kind; the only disappointment was the lounge.

    It was comfortable this time as well.

    This was my second stay at Beachfront, and I stayed for 4 days. Having had a comfortable experience last time, I chose Beachfront again without hesitation. As it was a golf trip, having a room with a washer-dryer and daily replenishment of detergent was a big plus. I also loved the Shigira Resort original amenity packs, which made for relaxing evenings after bathing each night. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't favorable for half of the stay, but I still enjoyed a comfortable hotel life overlooking Shigira Beach. Before the trip, I contacted the hotel several times via email and received very kind and polite responses. Not only were all staff members we met in person wonderful, but even those working behind the scenes demonstrated exceptional hospitality. When we planned to take the resort's underwater sightseeing boat using the shuttle bus service, we were informed at the entrance that operations were canceled for that day. Thanks to this information, we avoided disappointment upon arrival at the site. I was impressed by how well-informed the bellman was about daily updates within the resort from early in the morning (as it turned out that cancellation notices from organizers came after what would have been our shuttle departure time). Even small gestures like these greatly enhance travel satisfaction. This trip was filled with such thoughtful moments and made for another pleasant 4-day stay. Thank you very much! When visiting Miyako Island again, I would love to stay at Beachfront once more!

    95% satisfied. I want to visit during the best season next time.

    Since it was during the New Year holiday, some aspects were understandable. - Room and Facility: The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything needed. The two-bedroom suite was very spacious and comfortable. - Service: While slightly relaxed in pace, the service was thorough. Considering many older guests were present, a faster pace like that of a business hotel in the city might have felt less charming. - Location: Situated closest to the beach within Shigira Resort, it’s in a prime location. The New Year fireworks were right in front of us, and despite bad weather, the live performances were impressive. - Access: While shuttles and carts are available for moving between restaurants and hotels, shuttles can be crowded and carts exposed to rain or wind; using a private car felt more convenient and comfortable overall. - Restaurant: We dined at Italian cuisine, tempura, and teppanyaki this time. All dishes tasted excellent; however, only at the tempura restaurant did they serve an overwhelming amount of food all at once due to double seating rotations within two hours—resulting in leftover food and drinks for us as well as other elderly guests nearby who found it too much to handle comfortably—this could use improvement. - Breakfast: Although crowding is inevitable during breakfast hours with osechi provided on-site delivery service (or even pick-up) could significantly ease congestion levels while free-flow champagne seems popular among some guests those who don’t drink may prefer having options delivered/picked up instead without needing restaurant visits unnecessarily either way! -Lounge Access Issues persist requiring staff assistance unlocking doors every time which ideally should become avoidable eventually somehow addressing concerns raised repeatedly over years now perhaps? Given its high cost during peak season expectations naturally rise accordingly yet despite minor flaws overall satisfaction remains exceptional enough warrant future visits undoubtedly!

    I Love Miyako Island!

    Last year, we stayed on the top floor of Shigira Mirage, this year at Please Bay, and in summer at Allamanda. For the year-end, we experienced our first stay at a beachfront accommodation. The room and service here were exceptional as well. We tried Japanese cuisine for the first time, and it was absolutely exquisite. As always, hotel dining and yakiniku within Shigira were consistently delicious. We have already completed reservations for Please Bay in spring and Mirage in summer. Thank you!

    New Year's Holiday

    The hotel's website lacked detailed information such as bus schedules and transportation options, which made me feel uneasy. However, the booklet and code provided at check-in helped me understand the entire resort. While the resort overall felt old and somewhat weathered, possibly due to salt damage, Mirage was very clean and beautiful. The Room was spacious with lovely furniture, and having a washer-dryer in the Room was extremely convenient. The lounge felt a bit cramped, which was slightly disappointing. All staff members were friendly and kind, which I greatly appreciated. It was unfortunate that there weren’t many New Year’s events; I had hoped for Okinawan-style New Year dishes but found only standard offerings instead. Despite traveling all the way to Miyako Island, I couldn’t find anything distinctly local to enjoy. Although there was a minor issue in my Room, it was resolved promptly for which I am thankful. There are plenty of activities available—weather permitting—and it would have been nice if there were loungewear provided in addition to pajamas.

    I stayed for a Multi...

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay at the end of November. Although the weather was unfortunate, I had a comfortable stay thanks to the Room, meals, and excellent service from the staff. However, as the resort is very large, moving around for meals was sometimes inconvenient. It would be great if there were an option for light meals in an executive lounge like other Hilton hotels. Additionally, access to the lounge required notifying the front desk beforehand. Since there are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, having even a small shop within each Hotel would be very helpful. Aside from these points, I enjoyed being able to access the beach easily and had a wonderful time overall.

    We enjoyed a wonderful stay that did not disappoint.

    This was our second stay at the beachfront, and this time we chose an ocean view room. We were captivated by the stunning scenery of Shigira Beach right in front of us. The snorkeling tour was convenient with easy access. The meals offered a variety of delicious options. The parking lot was spacious and easy to use, even for those unfamiliar with driving rental cars.

    Family use in November

    The interior is simply amazing. Surrounded by designer furniture and lighting, we enjoyed a great view during our stay. The staff was very accommodating, and we had a wonderful time even with children. As for the meals, they didn’t leave us in awe but left us looking forward to next time. We participated in the semi-submarine activity run by an affiliated company and were provided with Shuttle Service by car. In the crystal-clear sea, we saw numerous fish, turtles, and corals, which even the little kids thoroughly enjoyed.

    Best Stay

    The Room, view, service, and staff were all excellent. The only disappointment was the service and quality of the Japanese breakfast at Bayside. I definitely want to return next year. Thank you very much!
