    All-inclusive is the best!

In our family trips, the cost of alcohol is significant, but with all-inclusive, there are many types of drinks available, and we can enjoy them without any hesitation, which is fantastic! We plan to choose an all-inclusive Stays next time as well.

It's a shame because the food is delicious.

I stayed with a plan that included dinner and breakfast. Since it was all-inclusive, it was mostly as expected, but the meal was so unsettling that I didn't feel like I had eaten. There was no prior time or seat reservation, so we were told to go while checking the congestion situation. As expected, a large number of guests rushed in at once, and I was exhausted by the time I actually started eating. The venue was set up with tables in a large banquet hall, lacking any atmosphere. It's a shame because the ingredients and dishes were all delicious. I hope for some solution. The room, bath, and location were all very good.

Thank you for taking care of us during the October holiday.

The buffet meal was delicious. The drinks were also plentiful. According to the Review, it gets crowded at certain times, so we lined up a little before the 5:30 PM start, which was a great decision. We were able to relax at a window-side seat. The Room was an old-style Japanese room, so the tatami, dressing table, table, and windows were somewhat dirty. It was especially disappointing that the windows were dirty when we opened the curtains to enjoy the nice view. I had imagined a more beautiful atmosphere by the waterside window, so I was a bit disappointed. The amenities section on the IKYU Reservation did not mention whether there were pajamas, yukata, or bathrobes, so I checked the website and contacted the Hotel just in case. There were yukata available, and the fabric was very sturdy, which was nice. The Onsen was also spacious and pleasant. I would like to use it again. Thank you very much.

I might not reuse it because I don't like crowds?

I stayed on a Friday and arrived early (after 2:30 PM), but there was a bit of a line for check-in. The amenities are thoroughly made of wood and paper, but they are not very comfortable to use. I went to the lounge early, so I was able to get a seat, but there are fewer seats compared to the number of guests, and those who came later used standing tables. You need to bring towels from your room to the large public bath. There were not enough hairdryers, so I couldn't use one and had to dry my hair in the room. The lake view room offered a great view.

    I was satisfied.

The meals were good, but above all, I really liked the all-inclusive package.

    Very satisfied.

The meals, lounge service, and drink service in the bath were all excellent. There is also an open-air bath, the large public bath is spacious, and there are places to relax. It's a place I definitely want to visit again.

The number of guests and the facilities/services are unbalanced.

There are too few hairdryers and dressing tables in the bath area. In the lounge and dining room, the replenishment of drinks and food is slow. The water in the bathroom sink in the room was clogged and did not drain easily.

This was my first time using this facility. Thank you for giving us a lakeside room because it was available. As per the reviews, you need to consider the time to go to the lounge and dinner, as there are many people, and it takes time to get a meal, and our seats were in the banquet hall, which reduced the enjoyment. I felt it was a waste of time to line up in order when the food I wanted to eat was ahead. Also, I was looking forward to the Omi beef shabu-shabu, but it wasn't available, which was disappointing. However, all the dishes we had were delicious. Now that I have a general idea of the less crowded times, I plan to be more strategic next time.

A resort hotel with excellent food and views.

I used this accommodation for sightseeing at Kotani Castle Ruins. The open view of Lake Biwa from the room was wonderful. It was the best. The drinks and snacks in the stylishly decorated lounge were delicious. The large public bath had a sauna and an open-air bath, allowing for a relaxing soak. The healing room after the bath was a place to unwind leisurely. Breakfast was crowded, but the restaurant itself had a bright and stylish atmosphere. There was an overwhelming variety of food and drinks. I liked the taste of all the Japanese dishes. The cutlet burger, ramen, and pancakes were also delicious. The staff provided pleasant service. Surrounded by Hokoku Park and Lake Biwa, I felt this hotel was suitable for a resort and spa. I would like to stay for a longer period next time.

    The food is delicious.

The hotel itself is a bit old, but... it's spacious, the view is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the staff are very kind, allowing for a relaxing stay. I will definitely use it again!

Located in an excellent spot close to Nagahama Station and right in front of Lake Biwa, I was satisfied with the sightseeing opportunities. I went by private car, and since the parking is free for 30 hours for guests, I was able to leave it there and walk around for sightseeing. The hot springs were smooth and felt great. Unfortunately, there were many tour groups, so I couldn't relax in the lounge and other areas.

    It was disappointing.

I was looking forward to the Omi beef shabu-shabu and foie gras hamburger, but neither was available. The room felt old, and the toilet smelled bad.

It was a four-generation trip with my mother and great-grandchild.

It was enjoyable to stay with six people and my one-year-old great-grandchild in one room. The view from the window overlooking Lake Biwa was also wonderful. However, both breakfast and dinner were extremely crowded, and the lines were long, making it difficult to get the food we wanted, which was disappointing. It felt like the food got cold while waiting. The taste is delicious, so if they could arrange for the same dishes to be available at several locations or decide on entry times at check-in, it would enhance the satisfaction by allowing us to eat leisurely.

    Normal

The photos were good, so my impression was slightly below expectations. Also, recent business hotels have a sense of cleanliness, so it felt a bit lower than that. There was a stain that looked like coffee on the switch of the washbasin. It seemed like something that could be wiped off, so it was disappointing. I stayed during a three-day weekend, and there were many families. It might be good for family use, but it might be a bit too lively for couples and such.

    First time using

I booked this place for the fireworks. I didn't expect much because the price was cheap, but there was an open-air bath and a club lounge. The meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, and during dinner, there was an all-you-can-drink alcohol option, so I ended up enjoying it quite a bit, haha. However, the room was old. Also, I was surprised by the number of guests. I guess it's unavoidable during the fireworks season.

    Buffet was very crowded

Perhaps due to the large number of guests staying for the fireworks, there was no guidance on where to line up for the dinner buffet, resulting in congestion and making it impossible to choose anything, which was quite disappointing.

    First stay

This price for all-inclusive! From 3:00 PM, you can use the lounge and even enjoy alcoholic beverages. The room, the large public bath, and the staff's service were all satisfactory. As a Diamond member, I even received a souvenir. I am grateful for the room upgrade as well. However, there are a few concerns that I hope can be improved. First, there are no towels or bath towels in the large public bath, so you have to use the ones from your room, but I would like a tote basket to carry them. Second, since the buffet-style restaurant is popular, a line forms before opening time. I would like a number to be included on the "Dining" plates placed on the tables. There was an issue with some seats this time. Regarding the line, one more thing. There were elderly people with medical equipment and those who needed assistance walking; while it's understandable for their companions to line up, I wish the individuals themselves could wait away from the line, sitting on chairs, etc. Third, I would like the Wi-Fi to connect without entering an email address. I don't want to easily disclose personal information. It should be usable with just a password. That's all. There was a Nagahama fireworks display from 8:30 PM, and we could watch it right next to the hotel. It was a wonderful autumn evening.

I don't think they are willing to take opinions into account.

Disappointing points: 1) I would like a bag to put towels and small items in when going to the bath. 2) I would like a shelf in the bath area to place small items that I bring. 3) The water temperature of the cold bath is unreasonably bad, to the point where the excuse of "not too cold" doesn't hold. 4) There is no resting space after the sauna (the area outside the room is meaningless for those who enjoy the sauna). 5) How about the staff making a displeased face when asked for something? ← This was the saddest part. 6) Can't the room windows be a little cleaner? It's no good! More and more things come to mind, but it becomes endless and makes me sad, so I'll stop here. I was satisfied because the fireworks were beautiful.

    Review

It was terrible from check-in. When I checked the parking lot for my car, I was told it was on the right, but I couldn't find it. After confirming again, I finally understood. The staff understood, but for a first-timer, just saying "right" is unhelpful. I received a floor plan of the facility at check-in, which included the parking lot and was easy to understand. They should have shown it from the start. The meal was terrible; they should have staggered the times since there were so many people. The hotel's initial response was the worst, so I have no good memories.

    All-inclusive

I was pleased with the unlimited beer from the welcome drink. The food was delicious, and there was a good variety of alcohol. I thought the lack of amenities was inconvenient for women. The room temperature didn't drop easily, and since it was summer, it was hot and uncomfortable to sleep at night. The room was clean and well-maintained, which was nice. I wasn't aware of the shuttle bus information, so I would have liked to be informed about it.

    All-inclusive

I'm a fan of Mercure. However, the dining area, the bath, and the drink corner were all extremely crowded, and I got tired. I would appreciate it if improvements could be made to alleviate the congestion a bit more.

    The elevator gets crowded.

The all-inclusive meals are delicious (though it can get crowded) and there's unlimited alcohol. You can use the lounge, and there's a large public bath and pool, making it a fun hotel for families with children. However, there are only three elevators, and during meal times, check-in, and check-out, it gets crowded, and you often have to wait 5 to 10 minutes to get on! If only that weren't the case.

    About breakfast

This was my first stay. I was able to relax in the spacious room. If you choose the right time for breakfast, you can enjoy it leisurely, and it was delicious. However, on the last day, which was a Saturday, there were many student groups from sports clubs, so I couldn't eat properly. We were also planning to leave in a hurry, so we couldn't change the time, but I wish we could have been separated from the groups of students with big appetites.

There won't be a second stay.

Even in the new building, there is a sense of age, and there is a gap with the photos. It was an all-inclusive plan, but it was at a level where other accommodations would advertise it as a drink service. Also, empty bottles were left as they were, with no sign of replenishment. From around 8 a.m., loud voices (greetings) for cleaning echoed throughout the floor several times, and there were times when we were rushed to use the large public bath, making it feel like they prioritized their work over the guests. There were many foreign guests, holding large parties in the lounge and being noisy in places like the large public bath.

    ON THE ROAD2020

    Surprisingly disappointing

First, while waiting in line to check in, an elderly woman cut in front of me. Cutting in line is extremely rude, but despite having three staff members handling the check-in process, none of them said anything and proceeded with her check-in. When I tried to make tea by boiling water in the pot, I found there were no cups. I attempted to call the front desk, but the phone was broken, so I had to walk to the front desk in the middle of the night to inform them about the missing cups. Can this be considered acceptable for a hotel? To be more specific, I stayed at the Grand Mercure in Wakayama in April, and both dinner and breakfast have significantly declined in quality. It's at the level of Yukai Resort or Ooedo Onsen. The room next to mine seemed to be a space for staff linens and such, but around 9 AM, while I was in my room, it shook so much that I was startled by the loud noise. When I checked out, I saw the door was open and noticed a large cart for linens placed right against the wall. It probably made a loud bang when it was placed against the wall. The staff lacked the basic imagination to consider that guests might be relaxing on the other side of the wall, demonstrating the lowest level of employee competence.

I would like to stay again!

I stayed for the first time. The view of Lake Biwa from the room was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed the lounge, hot springs, and meals. There were so many varieties of dishes for both dinner and breakfast that I couldn't finish them all, and everything was delicious, making the meals the best part. However, while I was getting food from the buffet, despite having a sign indicating I was eating and leaving my belongings on the table, some Chinese guests moved the sign and almost took my seat, and they were also taking other seats around. I think measures such as providing foreign language signs on the eating signs are necessary. Other than that, I was very satisfied, so I will use it again!
