    An Accommodation with exceptional hospitality.

We found this all-inclusive Hotel with a pool for our family trip with our 5-year-old and 0-year-old. The forecast called for rain, so we had given up on the pool, but a staff member kindly said, “Since you’re here, if you don’t mind the rain, it’s a heated pool and you can still use it.” So we decided to swim even in the rain. By avoiding the heaviest downpours, we were able to enjoy it to the fullest—it was an amazing stay!! Many Hotels don’t allow outdoor pools when it rains, so we really appreciated this. The infinity view overlooking Lake Biwa was breathtaking!! Every staff member had a wonderful smile and was very pleasant. Rather than feeling overly formal or “high-end,” I think this is a stylish, relaxed Hotel that will really appeal to anyone looking for casual luxury. Because our children are still very small and we didn’t want to disturb others, we skipped dinner, but the room-service breakfast was delicious—next time, we’d love to try dinner as well!!

Enjoy a stay with a pool and sauna.

I chose to stay here because I was drawn to the pool and hammocks. The Room felt clean, and I enjoyed spending time in the lounge in many ways—playing board games was especially fun! The afternoon tea and salad served in the lounge were very delicious, but I felt breakfast could be improved a bit.

I think this is a highly satisfying Hotel.

We stayed here for a family trip. Many Hotels with lounges do not allow children in the lounge in the evening, but children were welcome here, making it very family-friendly. The pool and meals were excellent, and all the staff were kind and attentive—thank you for taking such good care of us. We also enjoyed the beauty of Lake Biwa, and I highly recommend this Hotel.

    The children were very satisfied.

We enjoyed the pool for over two hours, and it was a very satisfying stay for our children. The Room had a calm interior, and we were able to relax. The all-inclusive drinks and light snacks were delicious, and this has become one of our favorite Accommodations. We would love to come back again.

    Great.

Dinner was wonderful—the sommelier, chef, and staff were all very welcoming, and the live kitchen was fantastic. With only seven rooms in total, we were able to enjoy the pool almost privately and spend a truly relaxing time. Thank you very much.

This Hotel is excellent for families with children.

I made a Reservation after seeing this Accommodation featured by a YouTuber. The property was clean and airy, and the view from our Room was wonderful. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we felt completely at home—overall, we were very satisfied. Most of all, we were impressed by how kind and thoughtful the staff were in their attentive greetings. We stayed as a family of three with our 11-month-old baby. Upon request, they provided a baby crib and a diaper disposal bin in the Room, and we could also enjoy the heated pool together, so we felt comfortable even with a small child. At dinner, they prepared a private dining room for us, which allowed us to relax without worrying about disturbing other guests when our daughter became fussy. It was an unhurried course meal that lasted nearly two hours, but every time the staff came in they spoke gently to her; even though she is shy around strangers, she stayed happy and smiling throughout. Thank you as well for warming up her baby food. Traveling with a child can be tiring in many ways, but thanks to the Facilities and the warmth of the staff here, we were able to take things at our own pace and truly relax. Thank you very much. The afternoon tea and light meals are excellent, so I recommend having a lighter lunch before your 3:00 PM check-in.

    We had a great time.

I stayed alone. The service was attentive. The restaurant food was delicious, and I could feel the care and attention to detail throughout. After dinner, I relaxed at the bar. The staff kindly spent time chatting with me, which I really appreciated. I also learned a lot about the Hotel. When I come to Shiga again, I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

A stylish space with thoughtfully designed rooms and interiors. From the moment we arrived, we relaxed in the lounge with drinks. Both dinner and breakfast featured plenty of local Shiga ingredients, and everything was absolutely delicious. We’d love to visit again if we have the chance.

A Hotel so comfortable you won’t want to go home.

Both the Room and the hospitality were wonderful at this Hotel. There are so many great points that it’s hard to list them all. Breakfast and dinner featured dishes made with ingredients associated with Shiga. Everything was delicious—I wished I had three stomachs. There is an infinity pool and a jacuzzi, and you can enjoy them while looking out over Lake Biwa. The website said there were no swimsuit rentals, so we brought our own, but it seems rentals may actually be available. If you’re concerned, it may be best to ask the Hotel directly. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again.

    Golden Week Stay in May

The Room, built with abundant natural materials, was wonderful, and the view was also excellent. The cuisine was especially outstanding, and the wine was delicious as well. The locally made Shiga pottery had a unique character, and we enjoyed it even more thanks to your thoughtful explanations. Although we stayed during Golden Week, we were able to spend a quiet and relaxing time. Thank you very much.

A Hotel you’ll want to visit again—and never want to leave.

Our Golden Week schedules didn’t align with our children’s, so we stayed as a couple. We chose this Hotel because we simply wanted to relax, and we truly enjoyed an unhurried escape from everyday life. Unfortunately, it rained and we couldn’t see the sunset. We had a late, filling lunch and checked in afterward, so it was a shame we couldn’t enjoy the afternoon tea. If you’re visiting, be sure to arrive with room in your stomach. It’s an Accommodation we definitely want to return to.

    Better than expected

I didn’t have very high expectations, but it was amazing. This Hotel is filled with the Yanmar president’s attention to detail, and the staff member who explained everything to us was wonderful. The dining is all-inclusive, and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the drinks were; the sommelier was also excellent. Of course, the food—and even the tableware—was thoughtfully selected and beautiful. We loved the glassware so much that we visited the artist’s studio the next day and bought some pieces. It became a great travel memory, and we’d love to return.

It was an exceptionally relaxing Hotel.

We stayed for 1 night/2 days with breakfast and dinner included, all-inclusive. Everywhere in the Accommodation—of course including the Room—had great views, a lovely scent, and comfortable background music. It was an experience that let us forget everyday life. Both the exterior and interior were wonderful, and even as architecture it was truly beautiful. The attention to detail was impressive—I couldn’t stop admiring it. The Room wasn’t very large in terms of square meters, but the high ceiling made it feel open and much more spacious. The complimentary drinks in the lounge had an amazing variety, and the snacks were delicious—we were completely satisfied. At the end of April I worried the pool might be cold, but it was heated and warm, so we enjoyed it. We could also use the sauna without running into other guests, which felt great and truly relaxing. Dinner was also excellent. Everything was delicious, but my favorites were the sea bream with a hint of cherry blossom aroma, the aged Omi beef, and the bean potage soup. I was surprised at how good aged beef could be—cheesy notes, rich flavor, plenty of fat yet not heavy. Breakfast was delicious as well. The salad dressing tasted fresh with complex flavors—I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I’ve found another favorite Hotel. I’d love to visit again someday.

We stayed here to relax on a maternity trip. Although there was no specific maternity Plan listed, when we asked in advance about foods I needed to avoid, they kindly accommodated us, which made me feel at ease even before our stay. As food lovers, we were delighted not only with the aged Omi beef and sea bream dishes, but my husband was also very happy with the wine pairing. I also truly enjoyed the recommended grape juice at dinner and the homemade lemonade at afternoon tea—despite not being able to drink alcohol, I had a wonderful time. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared as well, and the bread and dressings were excellent. I also joined the early-morning walk, and even while taking things slowly, we were able to spend a very fulfilling time. I’m already looking forward to staying again.

The hospitality was outstanding. Since we chose the all-inclusive Plan, we were able to fully enjoy drinks, light snacks, and more. This is a Hotel we will definitely return to. Thank you very much.

Clear skies, the lake surface sparkling—enjoy chill time in your Room.

This was my first visit. In early April, on a perfectly clear day with calm waves on Lake Biwa, this Hotel stands right by the lakeshore. The front desk staff were impeccable, and when I entered the Room, the floor-to-ceiling picture window made the lake surface sparkle—it felt like a landscape museum. A lovely aroma and soothing background music filled the space, and since the Room key and design were exactly the same as at home, it somehow felt like a second home—extremely comfortable. The interior was simple yet warm, with plenty of wood used throughout. Being all-inclusive, the afternoon tea was delicious. I also enjoyed the heated infinity pool and jacuzzi to the fullest, and true to its name “Sunset Marina,” the sunset was breathtaking. At dinner, the staff kept just the right distance—attentive without being intrusive. My wife had a wine pairing; I’m not good with alcohol, but they also prepared a non-alcohol pairing for me. There were many courses featuring local ingredients, beautifully presented on Shigaraki ware plates—everything was outstanding. Above all, being able to enjoy dinner in loungewear was something I truly appreciated; it allowed me to relax and enjoy it even more. Afterward we unwound in the lounge. Of course there was an impressive selection of alcohol, but what stood out even more was how many mocktails they offered—the best I’ve ever seen. Breakfast was served in our Room while looking out over Lake Biwa. A booklet with illustrations introducing producers such as farmers and bakeries was a thoughtful touch that left a great impression. Through the window we were soothed by flocks of waterbirds flying over the lake’s surface; we borrowed binoculars and watched them while gently swaying in a hammock on the terrace. The morning bath was also deeply relaxing with background music playing. Personally, I loved how nostalgic it felt—the bathroom walls covered in small beige tiles (though unlike large tiles, it must be quite tough for housekeeping…). Thank you from my heart for such wonderful chill time away from work!

    We were very satisfied.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday. I had been looking forward to it for a long time even before our stay, and I was truly impressed by the outstanding Facility and service that exceeded my expectations. The view of Lake Biwa from the Room was breathtaking, and spending time gently swaying in the hammock made me feel calm and relaxed. I also appreciated that there was no TV, which helped us forget about everyday life and unwind at a leisurely pace. As for the meals, not only were they delicious, but we could also feel the attention to detail in the Shiga-specific ingredients and tableware. We also used the sauna and pool, and because the number of guests is limited, we were able to enjoy them peacefully almost as if they were private. All of the staff were courteous, chatted with us warmly, and even took photos for us—truly exceptional hospitality. Thanks to them, we were able to spend a relaxing and thoroughly satisfying time together. We would love to come again.

It was an extremely satisfying stay. At dinner, the pairing of aged meat and wine was truly outstanding, and I was impressed by how perfectly the food and drinks complemented each other. At the bar, a female staff member explained everything carefully, and thanks to the attentive service, we felt very comfortable and were able to enjoy a special time. The salad was also delicious—I had it again and again! From the Room, we had a panoramic view of Lake Biwa, and we enjoyed the luxury of doing nothing while gently swaying in a hammock. It’s a space where you can forget everyday life and truly relax. In the sauna, we also enjoyed löyly. The cold plunge pool is constantly circulating and properly cold, so we could reach that perfect “reset” feeling in ideal conditions. We were satisfied with everything—meals, service, and Facility—and it’s definitely a place we’d love to visit again.

    What a wonderful one-night stay!

It was another wonderful experience, just like last time. First, I was moved by the view of Lake Biwa from the Room. Then we went up to the third floor for afternoon tea, followed by the infinity pool. Dinner was different from last time as the season had changed, and so had the menu. The aged Omi beef and curry udon—unchanged from before—were truly delicious again. What was different this time was that we stayed over a weekend, so we could join some events. First was a yoga session the next morning. Thanks to the instructor’s guidance, I realized how stiff my body had become. Then we had a farming experience in the on-site fields under guidance from Yanmar staff. We received plenty of freshly harvested vegetables still covered with soil; when we took them home and cooked them, they were incredibly tasty. Weekend rates are slightly higher, but I was more than satisfied. Even though we had just returned home, I immediately made another Reservation for our next stay. It is somewhat expensive, but I believe it is well worth it. My family also loved these extraordinary experiences that felt far removed from city life.

    We were very satisfied.

This was my first stay, and I was truly able to relax and feel refreshed. The meals were outstanding. I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy drinks and delicious food without worrying about getting home. Breakfast was also fun and tasty. In the morning lounge, however, the yogurt and smoothies were already empty before 9:00, which was a bit disappointing. The Room key also includes an elevator key, but I felt it would be easier to understand if they were different colors. The coffee in the Room was delicious as well, but I would be even happier if there were tea too. I was able to take it easy far more than I expected. Thank you very much.

This is my favorite accommodation—I'm always satisfied whenever I stay here.

Seasonal cuisine, views of Lake Biwa, time spent at the bar, and quiet moments unwinding in the Room—each visit is a treasure. This is the Accommodation I recommend most when you want to rest your body and mind and take care of yourself. Thank you always.

    A Restorative Stay

I stayed for one night. The Room had a calm atmosphere, and I was able to relax comfortably with coffee, aromatherapy, and a hammock. The weather was great, so I also enjoyed the activities and the outdoor jacuzzi. What impressed me most was the food. I chose an à la carte course where you can order as much as you like, and every dish was carefully prepared—truly delicious and deeply moving. I could really feel the quality of Shiga’s ingredients and the attention to detail, and I was completely satisfied from start to finish. In addition, the morning yoga session and farming experience were wonderful, allowing me to refresh both body and mind while connecting with nature. It felt like a luxurious time away from everyday life—time to truly reconnect with myself. It was a special stay that made me want to visit again.

    It was a wonderful stay.

The striking architecture and marina views made the stay feel truly out of the ordinary. The Room was simple yet warm, and we fully enjoyed the sweeping views of Lake Biwa and the surrounding mountains through the large windows. Watching the sun set behind the mountains across the lake was truly worthy of being called a “sunset.” All-inclusive Hotels are becoming more common, but this is the best all-inclusive Hotel I have ever experienced. From afternoon tea in the bar lounge to dinner and then bar time afterward, I enjoyed every moment. Not only were all the dishes and drinks delicious, but I could also feel a strong commitment to local production for local consumption—something you can only experience because you are in Shiga. Talking with the chef and service staff made it an even more enjoyable time. I was told that this dinner style was a special offering available until late February, so I felt lucky to experience it at just the right time. With such outstanding hospitality from everyone at the Hotel and such high-quality food and drinks, I can wholeheartedly recommend it in my Review. I would definitely love to return again.

    Luxurious all-inclusive experience

I had previously stayed at the neighboring Hotel and had been curious about this one, so this was my first stay here. The exterior is beautifully designed, and once inside, the interior felt warm and inviting with lots of wood. At check-in, we were served shiso juice, which was delicious. Our Room faced Lake Biwa right in front of us, creating a wonderful space that made us forget everyday life. After check-in, we enjoyed an afternoon tea set in the lounge on the 3rd floor. Since it’s all-inclusive, we could choose drinks freely, and besides afternoon tea there were also potato chips, popcorn, rusks, nuts, dried fruit, and more to enjoy. We had some time before dinner, so we borrowed board games on the 3rd floor and played in our Room—2 out of 9 types. Because we chose a Plan with dinner included, we had dinner at the Hotel restaurant. For a limited time it wasn’t a standard full course; instead we tried an order-style course where you get an additional four-course set plus as many items as you like from the menu. There were so many tempting dishes made with premium ingredients that it was hard to choose. We ate plenty—Omi beef hamburg steak, aged-meat curry, Omi vegetable pickles, and more. Of course the initial four courses were also excellent! They showed us some of the ingredients right in front of us during the meal and did part of the cooking tableside as well, which made it fun to watch while dining. I made this Reservation mainly for the food here—and it was absolutely the right choice. They also recommended wine pairings to match each dish and explained them clearly, which I really appreciated. It was also interesting that you can choose from different types of knives for meat dishes. The bath in our Room was a little tricky to figure out at first because of how the faucet works—but once I got used to it I could use it without any problem! In the morning breakfast was delivered to our Room at our reserved time; we enjoyed delicious dishes while taking in the view with in-room dining style service. The homemade dressing and fluffy bread were especially tasty—and everything looked beautiful too. After breakfast we used the lounge again and had yogurt topped with honey from bees kept on Yanmar’s headquarters rooftop for recuperation purposes; their bottled smoothie was delicious as well. Every staff member was wonderful—this Accommodation was very comfortable throughout our stay. With only a limited number of Rooms there’s a nice sense of privacy too, so we could truly relax. I’d love to stay again.”

The Sunset I’ve Been Dreaming Of

It hadn’t even been a month since our last stay, but we were happy to return. Last time, we couldn’t see the sunset due to snowfall, but this time we enjoyed a beautiful one. We were also given a corner Room, which made for a truly relaxing stay. The breakfast made with local ingredients was delicious as well. This is a Hotel we’d love to stay at again and again.
