    It was a wonderful trip to Kamakura after a long time.

    The meals were delicious... The quiche and vegetable wrap tortilla in the lounge were delightful, perfectly paired with sparkling wine. The breakfast galette was also tasty, and the presentation and portion size felt as satisfying as a full-course lunch. However, since I choose accommodations partly for their sauna facilities, it was disappointing that there was no cold bath in the women's area. There are two bathtubs available, so I would greatly appreciate if one could be converted into a cold bath. The sauna reached 100°C but had a dry heat with plenty of sand timers available, making it comfortable even for multiple guests at once. Despite the weather not being great, I enjoyed seeing the ocean and had a wonderful trip to Kamakura. Thank you very much!

    It was excellent.

    This was my first visit, and everything was absolutely perfect! The bath was clean and relaxing, providing a soothing experience. The staff were very polite and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. Every dish we had was delicious, and we were completely satisfied with the meals. Breakfast was also incredibly tasty. The entire space felt comfortable, and it’s definitely a place I want to visit again!

    Mini Vacation

    It was my birthday, so I stayed at my favorite WeBase. Kamakura is less than an hour from home, but it feels like a real getaway. Staying overnight even though it's close to home is a little luxurious mini-vacation. This Hotel is perfect for such a special day! The lounge is lovely, the bath is relaxing, and the Room is stylish. But the best part is the dining experience at the restaurant! It's a Hotel I want to recommend to many people. I’d love to visit again in winter!

    Relaxing Hotel Stay

    We enjoyed a relaxing two-night stay exploring Kamakura. As seniors, we used the nearby Enoden Yuigahama Station to visit Hasedera Temple and the Great Buddha. After returning to the Hotel, we took a tea break in the salon. In the evening, we used the Enoden again to stroll through Komachi Street in Kamakura. Despite the crowds, we were able to enjoy Kamakura comfortably. The teppan-style hospitality cuisine was also very delicious. The bright building and clean Room made for a pleasant stay. After returning home, we are already planning our next trip on IKYU.com.

    Cozy and Comfortable

    The spacious Room was quiet with a comfortable brightness, making it very relaxing. The large cabinet allowed for ample space to place small items, keeping the area tidy and organized. The lounge service and restaurant were both excellent, making this a new favorite destination I’d love to visit again. I also brought home two capsule Ship’s Cats!

    Great value and excellent cuisine.

    Was this building originally a retreat or something similar? The building itself seems quite old. The interior has been renovated and looks clean, but there’s a smell from the old plumbing. Especially inside the Room, it smells unpleasant. **What I liked:** - Close to the beach - Good value for money - Spacious Room - High-quality free lounge services - Teppanyaki counter restaurant food was very delicious (both dinner and breakfast) - Being able to drink cider in the morning was nice (though I couldn’t since I came by car) **What concerned me:** - Front desk counter is high, making it hard to write on the iPad - There’s an overall smell of old plumbing (an aroma machine was placed near the front desk) - Shower booth in the Room felt too small - Public bath? Seems quite small as well - The view isn’t particularly good - Parking fee of 3,000 yen per night feels a bit expensive… (found a nearby parking lot for 1,800 yen per 24 hours)

    Stayed in a large tatami Room.

    I stayed in a large tatami Room, which seemed to have been a meeting room before. It was quite spacious but had no view of the outside. There was no natural light coming in, so I couldn't even tell when it was morning. The humidity was intense; three dehumidifiers were running at maximum capacity, but they became full midway, so I emptied them. The noise from the dehumidifiers was loud, so I set them to low at night and endured the humidity while sleeping. The toilet wasn't inside the Room but outside the door, which made me a bit nervous about someone else using it. It would have been nice if there were a key for the Room near the toilet. The all-you-can-eat-and-drink lounge was fantastic! I enjoyed champagne and beer—it was so much fun. The location is very convenient as it's close to both the sea and the station. It's also stylish! Next time, I'd like to stay in a different Room than that one.

    The lounge was the best ever.

    The lounge service was exceptional. Unlimited alcohol, all handmade snacks, and in the morning, milk, coffee, and tea were provided. It was incredibly convenient to enjoy these services at any time during the stay.

    Had a great time with my daughter at a wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed at this Hotel during a birthday trip to Kamakura arranged by my daughter. The experience far exceeded my expectations, making for an incredible stay. The Room was bright and calming with cream and orange tones, providing the perfect space to have heartfelt late-night conversations with my daughter, who I usually live apart from. The public bath was also very refreshing and relaxing. Above all, the food was stylish and absolutely delicious! Dinner featured a six-course menu showcasing seasonal Kamakura flavors, with the dish of flathead fish and summer vegetables leaving a lasting impression. Although I left some conger eel as it’s not my favorite, the overall quality of the meal was so high that I was thoroughly satisfied. What surprised me most was when the handsome manager personally brought out a birthday plate amidst applause from other guests to celebrate with us—it was such a touching moment that will remain in my heart forever. The galette served at breakfast was also incredibly delicious. I would love to visit again someday—thank you for such a wonderful time!

    So close to perfect, yet a bit disappointing.

    Most of the facilities were good. Since we had an elementary school-aged child, we called in advance to request a change in the child's breakfast. However, it seemed that this information was not communicated to the dining staff, and they apologized profusely (it was a communication error from the front desk, so it wasn't the dining staff's fault at all). While I could understand this situation to some extent, what bothered me was that during check-out, there was no apology from the front desk (despite their mistake), and one Japanese staff member at reception had an unfriendly attitude. This left a bad impression. Even though it's generally a great hotel, just one unpleasant experience can leave a negative impression. There aren't many restaurants around the Hotel, but there is a nearby soba restaurant that was absolutely delicious.

    During my long-awaited visit to Kamakura, I searched for an accommodation with a large public bath and meals available for both breakfast and dinner. Such accommodations are rare in this area (excluding Enoshima), so I naturally ended up making a reservation at "WeBase Kamakura." While there were other options that met the criteria, they offered dinner packages at off-site restaurants, which did not align with my desire to relax within the accommodation. After completing the reservation, I researched various online reviews and found overwhelmingly positive feedback. It was also ranked among the top on travel site rankings, which heightened my excitement. Finally, the day arrived. The 4:00 PM check-in time was perfect given Kamakura's many attractions to explore during the day. Additionally, with an 11:00 AM checkout time, it felt like an ideal schedule for accommodations near Tokyo. I booked a reasonably priced Superior Twin room and was amazed by its high ceiling, abundant natural light from wall-to-wall windows, and various lighting fixtures that enhanced the resort-like atmosphere. The in-house guide and internal phone system were provided via tablet; individual air conditioning was pre-set to a comfortable temperature; facilities such as an air purifier, coffee maker, kettle—all from top manufacturers—were available; amenities included L'Occitane products; beds were Simmons brand—all of which reflected the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction without sparing costs. The complimentary lounge service introduced this April offered an impressive selection of items but I refrained from indulging too much in anticipation of dinner. However, I did enjoy being greeted by staff members’ warm smiles. Both dinner and breakfast lived up to their excellent reviews—deliciously prepared dishes served with care. During meal service times staff provided detailed explanations about each dish while engaging us in pleasant conversations when appropriate—a stark contrast to some hotels where meals are rushed through hurried service. As someone who enjoys wine pairing menus at reasonable prices (three glasses), this thoughtful offering further demonstrated their guest-oriented approach. The large public bath along with its sauna may be small-scale but they were functional and impeccably clean—providing utmost comfort during use! Thanks to real-time updates on bath occupancy via tablet devices—I managed private usage throughout my stay! Breakfast featured highly praised galettes alongside coffee & desserts enjoyed outdoors on terrace seating—a truly delightful experience accompanied once again by friendly smiles from attentive staff members! This stay far exceeded expectations—it felt like nothing short of miraculous hospitality! Upon leaving immediately after checkout—we already decided “Let’s come back again!” Lastly heartfelt thanks go out especially towards General Manager/Chef N-san—for delivering unparalleled hospitality creating unforgettable moments filled w/magic✨

    As popularity increases, it may become difficult to make a Reservation.

    The atmosphere along the route from Yuigahama Station to the Hotel and around the area from the Hotel to Yuigahama Beach is very calming. The lounge offers all-you-can-drink (beer, wine, shochu, soft drinks) from 16:00 to 21:00, along with a variety of sandwiches and snacks. The public bath was disappointing as it had a plain concrete design similar to that of a Business Hotel. It would be better if guests could choose their pillows; currently, the pillows are lower on the shoulder side. Meals feature an abundance of local vegetables and are highly popular among vegetable lovers.

    The overall cleanliness was good, but I was concerned about the slight odor from the glass during meals and the coffee cup in the Room already smelling like coffee. Additionally, the customer service felt a bit lacking in energy.

    This was my second stay, and the Room was clean with a lovely design. My sister's family, who stayed with me, were very pleased as well. The amenities were excellent, and I felt very relaxed.

    It has become my regular accommodation in Kamakura.

    Over the past year, we have stayed here about five times. Each visit, it's great to see the lounge and other services being improved. The dinner and breakfast at "Restaurant Kou" are always delicious. The hospitality from the staff, including the manager and head chef, is also very pleasant. On a recent stay, we saw a TV program featuring breakfast rankings of accommodations in Kamakura, where WeBase Kamakura ranked 3rd. While the breakfasts at the 1st and 2nd ranked hotels are appealing for their variety and location (based on our previous stays), we find WeBase's teppanyaki galette-centered breakfast course to be just perfect—our personal No.1 choice as a couple! Since Kamakura is only about an hour from our home, we've often visited in the past; however, recently we've been coming specifically for dining and staying at WeBase (laughs). We look forward to staying again!

    A Truly Satisfying Journey!

    Our girls' trip to Kamakura was made even more special by staying at WeBase Kamakura. The exterior and interior of the Hotel were beautifully designed, and the Room was spacious with high ceilings, allowing us to relax comfortably. The Room featured a capsule coffee maker offering a variety of flavors, from rich and deep to refreshing and fruity. For amenities, luxurious L'Occitane products were provided. Although we checked in later in the day, we were welcomed with sparkling wine as part of the welcome drink service in the lounge room, along with food service that made us feel like we were at a luxury resort in a tropical paradise! The large public bath had two tubs with different temperatures and even included a Löyly sauna. We enjoyed it before dinner, before bed, and again for a morning soak. Both dinner and breakfast featured many local ingredients from Kamakura. The breakfast galette made with spring cabbage, Kamakura bacon, eggs, whitebait (shirasu), topped generously with Parmesan cheese was absolutely delicious! We had such an enriching experience that it recharged us for days ahead! The guests staying here were mostly Japanese as well, making our stay stress-free. We are so glad we chose this Hotel—thank you very much! We look forward to visiting again!

    No matter how many times I visit, it's truly a wonderful Hotel. I've used it with friends, as a couple, and with family, and each time I find myself wanting to come back! The meals and service at Restaurant Kousan are top-notch!! I'm curious about the next menu. Haha The atmosphere of the Room is also lovely, and I was initially surprised to find all the L'Occitane products I use. I look forward to continuing to visit to experience the extraordinary and enjoy the travel mood, so thank you in advance.

    Wonderful Hotel!

    Close to the station, with good services, amenities, and meals, I liked it very much and it was my second stay. The services such as baked goods and drinks are also substantial. It's a pity that there are few parking spaces, but we managed nearby. Since it was a stay for three people, if I had to say, I would have liked three chairs. I will be in your care again.

    We stayed with our first-grade child and family during the New Year. The Room was more compact than expected, but it was clean without any noticeable dust, leaving a good impression. The best part was having a private room for meals, allowing us to enjoy the food leisurely even with a child. The staff were friendly and very kind to the child, and all the meals were delicious. We were able to spend a wonderful New Year.

    A Trip to Kamakura with My Daughter

    The modern design of this hotel, its excellent location, the large public bath with a sauna featuring self-roullyu, and above all, the delicious food have brought me back for the fourth time. There are large seasonal fresh flowers at the front desk and in the basement, which are luxurious and wonderful, so I always take pictures. This time it was the Halloween version. There is also a large SHIP'S CAT in the garden. In the lounge, you can enjoy a welcome drink, hotel-made baked goods, snacks, and soup (mostly free). I tried several kinds that wouldn't interfere with dinner, and they were all delicious. The best part of the stay is the cuisine made with local ingredients. Especially the dinner, which has a delicate taste with a lot of thought put into it. This time, I enjoyed a nine-course meal. The dressing for the appetizer salad of snow crab and apple was made with an extract boiled down from the crab shell, and the apple was slowly baked at a low temperature, which made its sweetness impressive. The abalone sauté was tender and perfectly matched with escargot butter. The lobster pie was the best combination of pie and lobster with an American sauce boiled down from the lobster shell. I can't write everything here, but of course, the fish, meat, and dessert that followed were also delicious and made me happy. The previous chef was also present, but the chef who mainly cooked this time was a young person who had trained at a restaurant in Tokyo. I heard they worked hard to come up with the menu, so thank you. There were many non-staying guests, and it was lively. Kamakura can be enjoyed as a day trip from our home, but staying at the hotel allows for a more relaxed experience and offers many different pleasures. It's a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel to the sea, so I want to go see the sea early in the morning. There is a Hello Cycling cycle port next to the hotel, so cycling to Zushi Marina is also a good idea. There is a favorite owl in the Owl Forest on Komachi Street, so I want to go see it, and I also want to explore the Tenen Hiking Course, so I plan to visit again sometime.

    I have been there before.

    Kamakura has few large Hotels, so I probably passed by without noticing it. It is small, but the Facilities are well-equipped, and I had a comfortable stay. The large public bath felt a bit cramped, but the room was comfortable as well. I remember there was no beer in the vending machine and no convenience store nearby, so I would like to visit again.

    Everything was great except for the lack of towels.

    Overall, it was very good. However, there were no towels in the large public bath, so I had to bring towels from my room. The food was very delicious. There was an object of the guardian deity of the journey in the center of the Hotel, and the entire Hotel was artistic.

    I was completely satisfied.

    I was surprised by the giant cat (laughs). I was satisfied with everything: the Room, service, large bath, and meals. However, I requested wine pairing during dinner, and it was a bit disappointing that the timing was off, perhaps because I was drinking slowly. It would have been fine to line up the wine glasses in front of me.
