It might be a new type of Ryokan.

When I stayed at Kakujourou, it was under renovation, but I was curious and decided to visit after the renovations were completed. Upon arrival, I checked in via LINE. At the reception, I received various explanations and was told that the key was already in the room, so I could go directly there. It felt like a mix between a hotel and a ryokan. The room was clean as it hadn't been long since the renovation. However, meals are at Kakujourou. The onsen is a simple spring with a circulation system, so it doesn't quite feel like an onsen property. The reception staff were from Southeast Asia and were very polite and pleasant, but I didn't see any staff members except during check-in. I initially thought of giving a score of 4 for service, but I realized while writing this that I didn't receive the Diamond Member souvenir, so I changed it to 3. For young people, considering the room size and cleanliness, I think the cost performance is good.
