    The lounge appetizers were suddenly unavailable.

    Stylish appetizers that pair well with alcohol were missing, which was disappointing. I have used this facility multiple times, but the operating hours seem inconvenient and not suitable for a Multiple Night Stay. If it could at least be available from 12 PM, it would enhance the enjoyment of staying multiple nights. After breakfast until 3 PM, we are unable to leave the Room, which is inconvenient. Please consider this. There was mold on the air conditioner. The meals are always delicious and satisfying.

    I have stayed here twice with my family before, but this time I stayed with friends. My friends, who were visiting for the first time, were delighted and said it was a wonderful place. However, as someone who has been here before, I noticed that the lounge offerings and amenities (such as bamboo toothbrushes) had changed since my last visit, which was a bit disappointing. I understand this might be due to rising costs, but those details were part of what made this accommodation special to me. Additionally, the staff serving meals did not provide explanations about the dinner or additional breakfast menu options (this was also the case during previous visits). On a positive note, the female staff at reception and those who guided us were very polite and cheerful with lovely smiles; their detailed explanations made us feel welcome. Despite these points, I still love this hotel very much. Thank you for allowing us to have another wonderful stay!

    The lounge was disappointing.

    The lounge menu has been changed to only include pound cake for food, which was quite shocking as I had been expecting a variety of options. I heard this change was implemented in mid-August. The photo on the top slide of IKYU.com still shows a variety of food in the refrigerated case, so it might need to be updated. The accommodation is located away from Takeo Onsen town, and while the hot spring quality differs from that area, many guests may have chosen this place despite its location because they were looking forward to enjoying the lounge. If that's not the case anymore, I would rather stay in an accommodation within Takeo Onsen town where I can fully experience its atmosphere. I stay at over 10 hotels with lounges annually, but I found the alcohol menu here to be limited compared to others. It's disappointing that there are only two types of sake available despite being in a region famous for Japanese sake. 【Meals】 Dinner was average; however, breakfast was enjoyable with beautiful presentation and a unique à la carte ordering system. It made for an interesting morning meal experience. Considering dinner quality though, the accommodation cost felt high. 【Onsen】 Perhaps because each room has its own onsen bath attached, there were very few users at the public bath when I visited before dinner, after nighttime sauna sessions, and in the morning—it felt like having it all to myself. 【Service】 We traveled with children this time and appreciated how kind and attentive staff members were towards them—thank you! However: - After making our reservation by phone we were told pajamas would be prepared even for children sharing existing bedding (Child Sharing Existing Bedding), but none seemed available in our closet upon arrival. - Similarly promised diaper disposal bins (diaper pots) weren’t provided either. That said—the shuttle service drivers showed great care during transportation by considering my child’s comfort throughout their driving duties—this thoughtful gesture left us deeply touched! Additionally dining arrangements included private rooms likely arranged due consideration given presence young family members—a much-appreciated effort indeed! 【Facility & Equipment】 Cleanliness levels appeared excellent overall leaving me highly satisfied here too although distance between sauna facilities located main building fourth floor versus separate annex housing both guestroom accommodations alongside larger communal bathing areas proved somewhat inconveniently far apart logistically speaking unfortunately… 【Overall Service Quality 】 While understandable perhaps amidst     It was great to be surrounded by nature.

    The Room was very clean and the interior was lovely. Since the spa room is located in the mountains, I was a bit surprised to find cicadas floating in the pool. The lounge had a great variety of food and drinks, which made me happy. The bathroom in the Room was also excellent, but the water pressure of the shower was quite weak, making it difficult to wash. All the staff were kind and provided a sense of security. Thank you very much!

    It was a beautiful accommodation!

    The room, bath, and facilities were clean and well-maintained. The meals were delicious and very satisfying. The massage was also comfortable! We visited for a family celebration and received champagne. The hallway and room lighting were slightly dim, creating a relaxing atmosphere that is great for younger guests but may be a bit hard to see for older individuals. Overall, it was a very lovely accommodation!

    One-Night Trip with Your Dog

    We planned a last-minute two-day trip and chose this ryokan, which allows dogs and has great reviews. We opted for the luxury course, staying with three adults (including one high school student) and one dog for 200,000 yen. Although it was quite expensive, the facility was very clean and spacious upon arrival. The lounge offered unlimited drinks including various alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and light snacks. The spa also provided free access to beer servers, soft drinks, ice cream, etc., making it an enjoyable experience. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and satisfying. However, there were some disappointing aspects regarding staff service inconsistency. While experienced senior staff provided excellent communication during meal service with clear explanations of dishes, some younger staff seemed inexperienced. For instance, during breakfast service they left without saying anything after serving food—leaving us unsure if we could start eating or not. Additionally, while the welcome was fine upon arrival, there was almost no farewell gesture when leaving; staff simply stood around without proper send-off etiquette. As for staying with a dog: although there is a walking trail in the back mountain area along with a small dog run outside the facility grounds—inside accommodations only allowed freedom within rooms themselves—which made it difficult to entertain pets on rainy days indoors effectively given available unused spaces throughout premises potentially suitable creating indoor runs/communal areas specifically designed accommodating canine guests better overall experience improvement opportunities exist here too! In conclusion: considering price point alternative options likely existed elsewhere but addressing aforementioned improvements would make returning worthwhile future visits especially appealing couples seeking relaxing getaway enjoying good drink offerings together!

    Onsen

    The Onsen in the room was not a natural free-flowing hot spring, but it didn’t have a strong chlorine smell, and my skin felt smooth, so I thought the water quality was excellent! The spa allowed us to bring our own drinks, and it felt relaxing like soaking in an Onsen with my husband. It was amazing! The sukiyaki was also delicious!

    It was a memorable 2-day, 1-night stay.

    I requested a surprise cake for his birthday. When I wanted to adjust the timing and consulted with a young lady during dinner, she kindly agreed. Despite being busy serving other guests, about three staff members came to assist, which made me truly happy. It became a memorable experience. Thank you so much!     I visited with my mother and had a wonderful stay. The accommodation had always caught my attention for its charming atmosphere, and staying here turned out to be the perfect choice. The views from the lounge and room were stunning, creating a relaxing ambiance on their own. The furniture, such as the sofa and bed in the room, as well as amenities like combs and razors, seemed thoughtfully selected for convenience. Additionally, I was impressed by the well-designed loungewear—a dress with pants made of thick fabric in dark colors—allowing us to step out of the room comfortably without worrying about undergarments. The meals were all deliciously prepared in small portions with adorable presentations that we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was served conveniently in a box format, making it easy to eat. Both breakfast and dinner included freshly cooked rice prepared individually at our table, complete with crispy bits at the bottom that added extra flavor—it was truly delightful! We spent two days feeling completely comfortable and satisfied during our stay. I would love to visit again!

    Family-Friendly Sauna Ryokan

    The hotel with a sauna is quite popular, and it's rare to find one that allows children, which we appreciated. Since my husband loves saunas and we live apart, we wanted to make our stay luxurious and memorable. However, the price did not seem to match the content. We downgraded the room rank and chose the best meal plan; while the room was comfortable, the meals were average. It cost 140,000 yen, but unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the value for money during this trip.

    Accommodation with Delicious Meals

    Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The dinner featured domestic beef, which was average, but the appetizers and sashimi were exceptional. The breakfast included a variety of small dishes, all of which were tasty. The option to choose from different menu items was also a nice touch. The curry we ordered as an extra had a rich flavor with a hint of spice and was very enjoyable, as was the rich-tasting egg. However, the squid shumai had a dry surface, which affected its taste negatively. One disappointment was that there were no instructions for the Room's bath, so it wasn't clear which faucet provided Onsen water. It would be helpful to have labels or explanations for this. Additionally, the Onsen water alone was too hot to bathe in directly; if some water could be pre-filled without dilution by tap water, it would make bathing more comfortable with just Onsen water. Since arrival times are confirmed in advance, this could be prepared beforehand. It would also have been nice if the Room's bath window could open to create an open-air feel like a semi-outdoor bath since there wasn’t an outdoor bath in the public bathing area either. That said, the quality of the Onsen itself was excellent. There were haori jackets provided in our Room; however, I wondered if they are cleaned after every use because one had dirty cuffs from the start and there seemed to be more than enough for our group size. Overall, I felt that staff interactions lacked warmth and friendliness. Visiting during cherry blossom season allowed us to enjoy beautiful views from our Room!

    Excellent Room and Facility, but...

    Upon entering the hotel from the entrance, you are greeted by a spacious and pleasant atmosphere. For a hotel with a limited number of rooms, the space feels expansive, allowing for a relaxing stay. Although we did not use them, there is an extensive range of facilities including a gym, spa, both dry and wet saunas, an Onsen pool, and a large public bath. The room itself was clean and functional with excellent design sense; I personally found it to be very tasteful. Both the room and facility were truly outstanding without any complaints. However, there were some shortcomings in other areas that caught my attention. First of all, regarding the staff: while their effort was evident and appreciated, I felt that hospitality fell short for this price range of hotel. There were instances where we had to wait unnecessarily or where lounge services were missing items that should have been provided. Additionally, when being shown to our room, they forgot about luggage we had entrusted earlier. While it’s understandable that some staff seemed slightly inexperienced at times, it appeared more likely due to poor operations or lack of coordination among staff members—or perhaps even insufficient staffing overall. This issue extended to meal service as well; explanations about dishes varied depending on the staff member serving us—some provided detailed descriptions while others said nothing at all when placing food on our table. In one instance where no explanation was given for our meal selection but overhearing another guest receiving details from different staff highlighted inconsistency in service quality during dining experiences. The meals themselves tasted good but considering this price point they felt rather average overall—not particularly exceptional nor disappointing either way. While both facilities and rooms are remarkable with dedicated efforts from certain team members shining through clearly—it would be wonderful if future improvements could align services better matching expectations associated within such premium pricing brackets!

    You can relax.

    Initially, I had a reservation at Tara Town Onsen, but my itinerary changed as I wanted to visit Arita Fukagawa Seiji, so I made a reservation at Takeo Onsen Urari Takeo. It was a very relaxing property from check-in to check-out with spacious and comfortable rooms. The lounge offered a wide variety of drinks and snacks. Both dinner and breakfast were well-seasoned, and the freshness of the ingredients was excellent. Even the dessert was delicious. Besides the room bath, I also went to the large bath. Upon entering from the changing room to the bath area, it felt inexplicably cold with some draft? This was the only disappointing point.

    The Room was spacious and the meals were delicious, so I was almost satisfied with my stay. Unfortunately, the lighting in the bathroom was mostly indirect, making it difficult to do makeup due to the darkness. The conditioner was rough and did not serve its purpose. The wash towel was too large and too soft, making it difficult to wash.

    The meals were delicious, and overall, the property was very clean and satisfying. The staff were all kind, and they interacted with us politely with smiles. We were very satisfied with the delicious wine and the variety of snacks available freely. However, the large public bath was a bit disappointing as there was no open-air bath. The sauna and spa were nice, but since they were unisex, wearing swimsuits made it less relaxing, and the flow was a bit puzzling. Ultimately, just staying in the room and relaxing was very satisfying, so the negatives didn't bother us much. We would love to stay again.

    The amenities are we...

    The amenities are well thought out (as shown in the photos on IKYU), and the lounge is well-equipped, so I am very satisfied with the amenities and facilities. However, the large public bath does not have an open-air bath, which was somewhat lacking. As for the customer service, the front desk and guidance were not bad, but I think there were too many part-timers serving during meals. They couldn't answer questions, and during breakfast, there was no explanation, and we were left unattended. This seemed to be more of an issue with the system created by the management rather than the quality of the part-timers.

    Celebration of Kiju (77th Birthday)

    This time, we stayed with my parents, husband, and daughter, a total of five people, to celebrate my father's 77th birthday. The sparkling wine we received as a gift was something my parents love, and they were very pleased. During the meal, you even prepared a traditional celebratory vest, allowing us to have a truly wonderful time. My father laughed, saying that staying in such a splendid place makes him feel like he can live a long life. On the day of checkout, my daughter unexpectedly had to participate in a competition, requiring her and my husband to leave early in the morning. Even though I thought it was a difficult request, you kindly accommodated us, and I am truly grateful. Thanks to your help, my daughter was able to participate in the competition and even won. We are filled with gratitude. Both my husband and daughter said it was such a wonderful property that they would like to stay again at a more leisurely pace, so we hope to visit again as a family. Thank you very, very much.

    Wonderful

    I’m glad I chose this Accommodation. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and the spa on the 4th floor was amazing—I loved being able to enjoy the spa while having a beer. Swimsuits are provided, and since it was my first time I felt a little unsure at first, but from the second time onward I think it would be easy to use without any issues. For dinner, I upgraded my plan and chose sukiyaki. It was a bit rich, but delicious. And not just the sukiyaki—everything else was simply outstanding. Breakfast was also excellent, with a clear focus on local ingredients. After staying at Garden Terrace in Nagasaki about six months ago, I’ve been choosing Terrace whenever possible.

    Close, but not quite.

    The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were the best for us in terms of content and quantity. The Room with a bath was also nice. The free lounge had a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, which made us happy. Unfortunately, the old large public bath that is difficult to renovate, the sauna floor with strange traffic lines, and the sauna requiring swimwear seem to be aimed at younger people. The large window overlooking the pond(?) was dirty. I think it is essential to make effective use of the unnecessarily large space on the first floor.

    The property perfectly meets the conditions of having an onsen attached to the room and being pet-friendly. The facility and meals are also highly satisfactory. As for the quality of the spring, compared to Kurokawa Onsen, my impression is that it falls a bit short.

    It was perfect in every way!!

    We enjoyed Christmas Eve with my daughter's family. The Room was spacious and simple, making it comfortable without worrying about our little grandchild getting hurt while playing around. The meals were delicious and filling. My daughter's couple was impressed with the spa and sauna, and they were delighted to have relieved their year's fatigue. The large public bath was entirely tiled, retaining the old-fashioned atmosphere, which brought nostalgia to our age. I thought, is this what they call retro? Even though it was old, it was well-cleaned and hygienic. Also, the water filled the bath with an astonishing volume, and the waterfall bath had a powerful water flow that refreshed our shoulders and back. The sauna was nice, but the large public bath was truly relaxing. We enjoyed the lounge several times. Garden Terrace has been all-inclusive for quite some time, hasn't it? Just one thing, I wish the snacks had more volume. They are too small to savor properly, perhaps?? (Haha)! Also, it would be helpful if you could provide a tray for tidying up. During the send-off, they patiently waited while we set up the navigation and sent us off courteously. We would be delighted to visit again.

    Last time was great, but this time felt the best. The Onsen was pleasant, and the spa was also good. The food was delicious. However, I felt the staff were less attentive than last time. A bit disappointing... but, everything else was completely satisfying.

    Touring Onsen Stays with Your Beloved Dog

    This is my second stay following September. The facility and room are very good, but there are issues with the food and service. I have a reservation for next month, but if it's the same, I might cancel the reservation. The main sukiyaki and shabu-shabu are not tasty, the timing is poor, the service is inflexible, and the lounge is exactly the same as in September, with no changes. I'm starting to think maybe it's enough.

    The facility is excellent.

    The Room was spacious, and amenities like swimsuits, towels, and water for the bath and SPA were well-prepared, allowing for a stress-free stay. The closing time, which I believe used to be 11 PM, has been changed to midnight, allowing for a more relaxed experience. I would definitely like to visit again.

    Is this what you expected?

    Regarding the room, we stayed in a pet-friendly property this time. The spacious room and the room bath were nice. However, the hot water in the room bath took quite a while to come out. It didn't come out until about 2 minutes later. I was concerned about the dust-like particles inside the cup in the room. For a pet-friendly room, the floor was slippery, and I was worried that the dog might hurt its joints. As for the service, there were many young staff members, and it felt like they were inexperienced. Compared to properties with similar accommodation fees, it seemed a bit lacking. Regarding the onsen, the bath attached to the room was clean and nice. The large bath felt like a countryside public bath. It would have been nice if there was an open-air bath. As for the facility, the spa and sauna were quite ordinary. The massage chair in the relaxation room was also ordinary. In the meditation room, you enter a dome and listen to sounds through headphones, but it felt like it was being played from an iPad. This was connected via Wi-Fi, but the connection was poor. It would stop every 5 seconds, then play again. It was like this, so I couldn't get into meditation. By the way, the Wi-Fi in the room was also extremely poor. I was looking forward to the lounge snacks as they were advertised as a service, but they were almost out of stock. Regarding the meals, they were ordinary. Alcohol was always free in the lounge, but it was charged during dinner, which was a bit disappointing. By the way, alcohol was free in the morning. (Maybe because there are few people who aren't driving in the countryside, so not many people drink, hence it's free?) Regarding satisfaction, it was ordinary. It feels like the service content is lacking for the price. I don't think I'll use it next time...

    We started our dinner at 7:30 PM, but even after 10 minutes of being seated, no one came to take our drink order or provide any guidance, so we had to call out to them. I understand it was a busy time, but the previous guests, as seen through the noren, seemed to have waited even longer. In the morning, there was no support for our luggage, making it difficult to carry it from the second floor, where the front desk is, to the first floor, where the entrance is. Although it was raining, there was no guidance about umbrellas.

    I think it's a wonderful Stays.

    We chose this property as the final stay of our trip with my parents. The room's facilities were excellent, and although we didn't have time to use it, the lounge was well-equipped. The large public bath is old, but considering the main attraction is the spa, it's understandable. The room was impeccable and wonderful. What exceeded our expectations was the food. Both dinner and breakfast were consistently delicious, and by the fourth day of the trip, our stomachs were getting tired, but the light seasoning allowed us to enjoy the meals until the end. This time, we changed properties every day, so we only stayed one night, but with these facilities and food, I recommend a multiple night stay. One thing that concerned me was that I didn't know breakfast was order-based, and after being shown to our seats, there was no particular explanation, just "What would you like to order?" which left me confused. I thought, "Oh, maybe I saw in a review that it's order-based?" and asked, "Sorry, I haven't heard anything, could you explain?" which seemed to be mistaken for a request for an explanation of the dishes, resulting in a puzzled "Explanation...?" with a laugh. I confirmed, "Oh, it's fine! I just need to order, right?" and placed my order with some lingering uncertainty. Perhaps it was supposed to be explained at check-in, but I might have interrupted during the explanation, cutting off the conversation. Overall, the service was proper, but not impressively professional. I think it would become a higher-grade property with a more stable and composed service. I will use it again.

    Family Trip

    I was looking forward to it, but for the price, the service was not great. I was excited about the lounge, but the coffee server was under maintenance. The snack corner was not restocked in the morning. I wish it had been properly managed by around 10 a.m. when we were leaving. I thought the staff's response was not as good as the Garden Terrace in Fukuoka or Nagasaki.

    Family Trip

    We had made a reservation for a couple's trip, but just before our stay, my elderly mother-in-law wanted to join us, so we consulted with the hotel. They kindly accommodated the change in the number of people. The room was spacious, enough for three people. It was clean, and we could comfortably use the room's bath. The most impressive part was the meals. Everything was carefully prepared and very delicious. The Saga beef and freshly cooked rice were especially outstanding. We would love to visit again!
