    The Hotel was very c...

    The Hotel was very clean for a Business Hotel, but the price felt a bit too high for that category. Breakfast was tasty, but you have to enter by 9:00, which is a bit tough for people who aren’t morning types. It would help if it were until 10:00, though I understand that may be difficult cost-wise given the quality of the ingredients. Even so, the bed was so firm that I couldn’t sleep… It felt like sleeping on a wooden board. My companion, who usually sleeps on a futon, agreed it was indeed hard once I mentioned it. It might be just right for some people. Since there were many Chinese guests, I wondered if the firmness is set to match their preferences. In the private bath as well, there was a Chinese family next door making an incredible amount of noise, and I couldn’t relax at all—it ended up being an unpleasant memory. I can’t recommend this place to anyone looking to take it easy in Hakodate. If anything, it’s tiring.

    I would like to stay here again.

    This time we stayed in a special Room with a private open-air bath. The water temperature was comfortable 24 hours a day, the tub was spacious enough for two people to relax, and the cypress wood rim added a warm touch—I think I soaked in it about ten times. We also had three bath towels each, plus a wide towel rack to hang them, which made everything stress-free. One suggestion: I used the open-air bath around 7 a.m., but the direct sunlight was very strong. It would be nice to have something like bamboo blinds to block the sun. We also used the large public bath, and as with other Kyoritsu Resort properties such as Dormy Inn, it had plenty of washing space and was easy to use. And when it comes to Kyoritsu Resort, there’s the late-night ramen service. Since this is Hakodate, they offer salt ramen in addition to soy sauce ramen. We expected breakfast—known for being popular—to involve waiting in line, but thanks to the special Room privileges they reserved our preferred seating (such as semi-private booths or window seats) at a designated time. That was great. Of course, the meal selection lived up to its reputation. All drinks in the Room were free—including whisky—and there was also a sparkling water maker. Overall it was excellent. The price is high, but given how well-equipped everything is, we felt it was worth it. We’d love to stay again if possible.

    An ideal accommodation for sightseeing in Hakodate’s Marina and Motomachi areas.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. This was our first stay, and we used the Hotel as a family base for sightseeing in Hakodate Motomachi. [Room & Amenities] This time we stayed in the “4 Beds (Corner Room).” At 55 m², the Room was spacious and comfortable, with a twin-bed bedroom plus another space with a sofa and an additional set of twin beds. A wide variety of drinks were provided, and everything was free of charge. As for amenities, we would have appreciated slightly higher-quality items. [Staff & Service] After arriving at Hakodate Airport, we took a taxi straight to the Hotel, left our luggage, and went sightseeing. During our trip we also stopped by the nearby Red Brick Warehouses, and the staff kindly stored our shopping bags as well. This was extremely helpful. [Onsen & Bath] The large public bath is a salt Onsen with excellent water quality—our skin felt smooth afterward, and it was truly wonderful. We did not use the in-room bath because it is small. We also did not use the private bath since we spent most of our time sightseeing. I can’t comment on that point, but the large public bath was great. [Facility & Equipment] The location is excellent—right near the Red Brick Warehouses—and it’s perfect for walking to Motomachi sights and enjoying the night view from Mt. Hakodate. The building is beautiful from the front desk onward, and overall the Facility is outstanding. [Dining] We checked in late because we returned after seeing Mt. Hakodate’s night view, but we enjoyed the complimentary late-night soba. The next morning’s buffet also offered plenty of fresh seafood that you could add as much as you like—breakfast was very satisfying. [Overall Satisfaction] Overall, we were extremely satisfied. We would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip to Hakodate.

    All-you-can-eat sushi was… more than I expected.

    We are a couple in our 50s traveling together. We chose this Accommodation because we wanted to fully enjoy the well-reviewed breakfast and sushi. Since it came with various side dishes and shabu-shabu meat, we couldn’t eat as much as we expected, which was disappointing. At our age, we might be more satisfied with a buffet style where we can choose what we like. We did enjoy the late-night ramen as well, but... As for the bath, I used the private hinoki bath located on the 9th-floor women’s bath area by myself in the morning. It feels more reassuring when facilities are separated by gender. The Hotel called in advance to confirm our stay, but it felt somewhat curt. I felt the drinks at dinner were expensive. We settled the bill at checkout, but there was no itemized statement, so I think it would be better to ask for confirmation.

    Perfect—that says it all.

    The meals, baths, private family bath, post-bath refreshments, and late-night noodles—everything was excellent and we were very satisfied. It’s also conveniently located for sightseeing. Highly recommended.

    I have stayed at La ...

    I have stayed at La Vista Hakodate several times before. This was my first time staying in the Annex, and everything was excellent. My whole family was very satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful meals, Facility, and service—we were able to relax and truly enjoy our stay. It has become one of the Accommodations I would definitely like to visit again.

    Recommended for adult travelers

    Three of us stayed for three nights in a Japanese-Western style Room. There were so many appealing Hotels in Hakodate that it was hard to choose, but picking this one was absolutely the right decision. Since there aren’t many Rooms, the whole place felt quiet and relaxing. The Japanese-Western style Room was spacious enough that the sofa didn’t end up as a luggage rack, and it was very comfortable. There was no stress from crowds—no waiting in line for breakfast or for a washing area in the bath. Breakfast felt like it had fewer small side dishes than other Kyoritsu Resort properties, but it was fun to make our own original seafood bowl. After three days, though, most of the menu was the same, and it was disappointing that there weren’t many dessert options. That said, there were very few instances of children being noisy or making a mess at the buffet. I recommend this Hotel for adults who want a calm, relaxing trip. The biggest downside was that there is no coin laundry. Since we couldn’t do laundry, our luggage increased and became heavier. For a new Hotel, I think coin laundry is essential. If they had coin laundry, I would definitely choose this place again next time.

    An Accommodation you’ll want to return to soon.

    On my third stay, I brought my mother for the first time. We were able to relax in the spacious Japanese-Western style Room. The view of Mt. Hakodate from our Room was wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen. What I like about this Hotel is that it never feels overcrowded—there is no hustle and bustle in the baths, dining venue, or lobby. Thank you for a wonderful time from check-in to check-out.

    A Business Hotel with a City Hotel feel

    I chose this Hotel because it has a great reputation near Hakodate Station. The airport shuttle bus also stops right next door in front of the International Hotel, which is very convenient. With a small number of guest Rooms, the atmosphere is calm and the Room was clean. Breakfast was not crowded and was delicious. Hokkaido salmon roe is probably the highlight, but I also recommend the tomato juice. Although it’s a Business Hotel, there is also a souvenir shop on-site, and there’s a Seicomart within walking distance—everything you need is close by.

    We had a wonderful stay.

    I chose this Hotel because it had such high Review ratings, and this was my first stay. I was a little nervous traveling solo to Hakodate for the first time, but the female staff member at the front desk who assisted me at check-in was truly pleasant and professional. Her thorough, thoughtful explanation immediately put me at ease, and I felt from the bottom of my heart that choosing this Hotel was the right decision. Everything I had contacted the Hotel about in advance was perfectly shared among the staff, so everything from check-in to getting to my Room was smooth and stress-free. It felt even better than I had expected. The Room was more than spacious enough for one person. It was clean and very functional, with essentials (e.g., a trash bin, tissue box, etc.) placed exactly where I would want them—everything clearly arranged from a guest’s perspective. Perhaps because there aren’t that many guest rooms—or maybe due to the season—the restaurant was never crowded, and I could enjoy my meals in a relaxed space. Both dinner and breakfast were truly delicious...(!) With fresh and luxurious seafood as well, I ended up eating too much every day. As for the Onsen, the large public bath had a wonderful atmosphere with wide-open views of Mt. Hakodate and the sea. It was spacious with no crowds—an incredibly pleasant Onsen experience. The changing area also offered chilled mineral water, guarana soda, ice pops, and more—such attentive hospitality that left me feeling fully refreshed in both body and mind. There are three private baths as well; no Reservation is needed—you can use them anytime if available—and I could relax without worrying about others while enjoying views of the sea and harbor. Whenever I returned from sightseeing at night they greeted me with “Welcome back,” and when heading out they would say “Have a good day,” which made this Hotel feel like my home in Hakodate. It was simply so comfortable. Thanks to everyone here, my trip to Hakodate became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much! When I visit Hakodate again, I would love to stay here again—thank you in advance!

    Relax and enjoy a blissful time

    My daughter and I stayed for one night on a mother-daughter trip. In the Room, there was a set for making drip coffee, so we ground the beans and brewed it by hand, and it was delicious. We also fully enjoyed the Onsen, and everything at breakfast was excellent. We had a wonderful time for the first time in a while. We will definitely visit again.

    A Onsen trip for an elderly couple celebrating their 77th birthday milestone

    I have visited Hakodate many times, but this was my first stay at La Vista Accommodation. I really enjoyed the Onsen and the meals.

    Regarding Meal Discrepancies

    Last year, I pointed out a similar issue at a Dormy Inn Hotel, and this time as well, the center of items like fried chicken appeared red, raising concerns about undercooking. Upon inquiry, it seems they use semi-processed products; however, there were noticeable deficiencies in internal controls during subsequent handling (cooking process). (Semi-processed products do not guarantee complete elimination of risks such as food poisoning. While I won't detail the internal control issues here, information may be provided to relevant authorities if necessary.) This time, although I preserved evidence of suspected undercooked food, I forgot it at the Hotel and did not bring it to the health department. However, if similar incidents continue in the future, I intend to submit evidence to public authorities for evaluation. I have taken photographic evidence and will upload it since this is the second occurrence.

    Last year, I stayed ...

    Last year, I stayed during the same period and chose a plan without dinner, so this time I opted for the two-meal plan, which was the right choice. I didn’t have to go out in the cold, and both the food and service were excellent. If I may say so, it would be nice to have a few more sushi options. Overall, I am very satisfied. I will definitely choose this accommodation again when visiting Hakodate next time.

    Having stayed at hot...

    Having stayed at hotels in this chain before and having a good impression, I chose to stay here this time. The room had coffee beans and a hand grinder, allowing me to grind and brew my own coffee. It was my first time seeing this in a room, and I was delighted. There are three private baths available without reservations if they are vacant, but depending on the previous user's condition, it might be concerning. (Bath mats are provided for self-replacement; however, there were times when wet mats were left out and trash bins were full.) The large public bath offered water and ice, guarana drinks at night, and lactic acid beverages in the morning—a thoughtful touch. I only had breakfast during my stay, but the variety was abundant and highly satisfying. The accommodation was clean throughout, the staff's service was excellent, and I felt it is a hotel I'd like to stay at again.

    This was my first time staying at this Hotel. It's in the best location for exploring the Red Brick Warehouse area. The front desk staff were kind, and the spacious Japanese-Western style Room was very comfortable. Both the large public bath and private bath exceeded expectations, leaving us extremely satisfied. The Room also had coffee beans, a grinder, and a drip set, which is great for coffee lovers. Additionally, the highly-rated breakfast was delicious, making my family very happy. I would love to stay here again!

    It has become my favorite accommodation that I want to stay at again!

    It was a short one-night trip, but everything from the room, onsen, to breakfast was absolutely excellent. The room was a Japanese-Western style room, spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was a large sofa set where we could relax. The amenities were well-prepared with tea snacks, coffee, and complimentary water. We enjoyed both the public bath and private open-air onsen; luckily both were available when we visited. It was wonderful to relax and enjoy the onsen at our own pace. The view from the open-air bath in the public area was stunning—at night you could see fishing lights floating on the sea, and in the morning you could soak while watching an incredible sunrise. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes; enjoying fresh seafood like crab and whelk in the morning is one of this hotel's highlights! Truly worthy of being one of Hakodate's most popular accommodations! The small side dishes were also plentiful, allowing us to savor various delicious items little by little. The hotel staff provided attentive service with kind words throughout our stay—they were polite and pleasant to interact with. A female staff member who guided us during "Yonaki Soba" stood out for her warm smile and friendly demeanor—it left a lasting impression on us. While its newness and clean facilities are appealing features, their excellent service made our experience even more satisfying—we would love to visit again someday! Thank you very much!

    Favorite.

    I always stay at this accommodation when visiting Hakodate. The price is on the higher side, but the bath and breakfast were not crowded, allowing for a relaxing stay. While the sushi was good, the sukiyaki and creamy tofu during my multiple night stay were delicious, and I look forward to staying here again next year for another multiple night stay.

    A Highly Satisfying Hotel

    This was the most memorable hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff were kind and always answered my questions with a smile. As it was my first time in Hakodate, it made the experience even more special. During my time at the hotel, I felt thoughtful care in every detail. The room was clean, and I was soothed by the music and night view of Mount Hakodate from the large public bath. The breakfast was a luxurious feast like a Hokkaido fair, and dinner featured delicious all-you-can-eat sushi! It became an incredibly satisfying trip to Hakodate. I would love to stay here again!

    The perfect anniversary getaway!

    I stayed at La Vista Hakodate Bay ANNEX to celebrate a special occasion and my partner's birthday after learning about it from a TV feature on Hakodate Hotel breakfasts. From the complimentary lounge and large public bath services to the delightful "Yonaki Soba" noodles, everything exceeded expectations. The moment we stepped into the hotel, we were enchanted by its interior design. The Japanese-Western style room was beautiful, and my partner was thrilled with the birthday surprise. We had plans to ride the Hakodate Night View Train, and when we mentioned this during dinner, the staff thoughtfully adjusted their service timing for us. They even surprised us with a celebratory plate! The large public bath with night views and private open-air baths were incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was something I had been looking forward to, and it did not disappoint—it was absolutely delicious! This is truly an accommodation that anyone would enjoy.     The sashimi at breakfast is very fresh, each dish is well seasoned, and the dessert pudding is also delicious. Sushi rice is available so you can make your own seafood bowl. I felt the dining quality stands out among Hotels in Japan.

    Hakodate Delight

    The location is convenient, the food is delicious, the Room is clean, and it was an excellent Hotel. It would be convenient to have a box for used towels and bath towels in the large public bath; that's the only point. I was also satisfied with the service of having bottled water placed in the bath area. I will use this Hotel again when I visit Hakodate. Thank you very much!

    The lobby is a bit small, so it doesn't feel very relaxing. It would be nice if you could request a Room with a view of Mt. Hakodate and Hakodate Bay, but since I stayed on the 8th floor, I could barely see the Tsugaru Strait.

    A Trip for Parents in Their 40s & 70s

    We stayed in a quadruple room with my parents in their 70s. The accommodation and the room were clean, and the amenities were well-equipped, making it a very satisfying stay!

    When I asked two days before check-in if the Room had an ocean view, I was told "Yes," but upon arrival, the view was of a parking lot. At check-in (we arrived earlier than the designated check-in time), we were informed that meals were served in two shifts and only the second shift was available. It would have been helpful to know this in advance so we could plan accordingly. Additionally, since the Hakodate Ropeway operates until 9 PM, we requested an earlier dinner time for our course meal. However, dinner started at 7:30 PM as scheduled. The sushi rice was dry, and the dessert apple was served whole without any cuts or preparation. We traveled from Sendai to Morioka and then to Hakodate with a booking through IKYU.com for my first trip alone with my child, expecting a pleasant experience—but it ended up being disappointing.

    A Higher Level of Choice

    Last year, I stayed in the main building, so this year I chose the annex. Although the price is higher, it was still a very satisfying accommodation experience. The complimentary services are excellent, so even with just breakfast included, it feels sufficient. However, I highly recommend trying the Japanese kaiseki dinner at least once during your stay. The staff's hospitality was very attentive, making my stay comfortable and pleasant. With fewer rooms compared to the main building, it is truly quiet here. This hotel is highly recommended for those who want to spend their time outside of sightseeing in peace and tranquility.

    Comfortable Hotel

    I stayed in a room with an onsen. The view from the window, the bath, and the room's facilities were well-designed, allowing for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was of high quality and very satisfying. The staff were pleasant and maintained a perfect balance of attentiveness. Most tourist attractions are within walking distance, making this accommodation highly recommendable.
