    Perfect base for sightseeing in Kanazawa—a Hotel to unwind with sweets and live music

    Just as the reviews on IKYU and Google suggest, this was an outstanding Hotel with exceptionally well-rounded offerings. [Location & Access] An unbeatable base for sightseeing in Kanazawa: a 1-minute walk to Omicho Market, and only a few minutes on foot to Kenrokuen Garden and the Higashi Chaya District (the preserved area at the entrance). On the other hand, the free Shuttle Service from the station takes about 30 minutes due to intermediate stops. [Lounge & Dining] The tea-time sweets were surprisingly high quality—on par with a specialty shop! Cocktail time ends relatively early (last order comes quickly), but since tea time is so lavish, it was more than enough for me personally. Breakfast was also excellent, packed with Kanazawa flavors; given the local culture, I would have been even happier if sake had been available as well. [Overall Impression of the Stay] Perhaps because it is relatively new, everything felt very clean, and the live music during cocktail time greatly enhanced satisfaction. With no upper floors and only a limited number of rooms per floor, you can enjoy a calm, intimate stay. [Expectations for Service] The staff work very hard, though some still seemed to be getting used to things. For example, when clearing dishes, I felt that a brief word to guests would further elevate this Hotel’s signature hospitality.

    We stayed as a family to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. The Hotel had a chic, wonderful atmosphere. We were very satisfied with the club lounge, where we enjoyed desserts and drinks. The staff provided excellent service, and it was a Hotel we would like to stay at again if we have the chance to visit Kanazawa.

    Hotel Sanraku Kanazawa

    I stayed for 24 hours with breakfast included. I used the Hotel shuttle bus to and from the station. The Room amenities were excellent, and the drinks were very well stocked—Kaga roasted green tea and mineral water—so it was very comfortable! I spent most of my time relaxing at the Hotel.

    A Luxurious Moment

    I had been looking at this Accommodation as a place I definitely wanted to stay when traveling to Kanazawa, so this time I made a Reservation without hesitation. This is the lounge access Plan. I was very satisfied. I truly appreciate the quality of the lounge food and the staff’s service. There were many young female guests, which alone showed how popular it is. The location was also great—close enough to see Omicho Market. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Kanazawa.

    The lounge was terrible.

    I read the Reviews here and was looking forward to the lounge, but perhaps it was just bad luck—there were always several families with children, and it was quite noisy, so I couldn’t relax at all. Even though the notice says that children under 6 are not allowed, there was clearly a child around 4 years old screaming. The mothers also reached in from the side to take photos without any regard for me while I was getting snacks (and honestly, doing that in a lounge like this is embarrassing). When people like that use it, it ruins the lounge. What’s worse, the staff in the lounge ignored it all—and allowing such small children in the first place makes no sense. Also, when we came back from sightseeing at Kenrokuen and had tea, they placed candles on other tables partway through but not on ours. In other lounges, staff usually speak to you politely and place a candle with a smile. The lounge cakes weren’t particularly good; pizza was already cold when served; I tried a small amount of pasta and it wasn’t good at all. There were no hot snacks whatsoever. The only thing that tasted good was Häagen-Dazs ice cream—pretty disappointing. We stayed two nights and used the lounge three times for short periods (30 minutes to at most an hour), but that same group was there every time and we were fed up. My husband even said, “Do they live in the lounge?” There wasn’t much else to praise either—the Room is small, breakfast had very little fruit, and overall everything felt overly salty. I will never stay here again. I only regret not choosing another Hotel instead.

    Flexible support, even for special requests

    I was extremely satisfied with everything—the Facility, the service, and the meals. On the day of my university entrance exam, I had breakfast at this Hotel before heading out. Thanks to that, I think I was able to start the day feeling great. If I pass safely, I will definitely come back and stay again.

    It was an excellent Hotel in every way except for one thing.

    Not all of the towels were fluffy. Other than that, the room, service, staff responsiveness, and breakfast were all excellent. I definitely plan to stay here again when I visit Kanazawa. If possible, I hope the towels will be softer by then.

    I stayed here with my elderly parent on a two-person trip. The location is close to major sightseeing spots—Omicho Market, Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen Garden, and the Higashi Chaya District are all within walking distance. The Hotel was excellent in every way, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were also wonderful, making this a top-class Hotel in every respect and an unforgettable experience. When I travel to Kanazawa again, I will definitely stay here. Thank you very much.

    We had a very satisfying stay.

    For my first trip to Kanazawa, I chose THE HOTEL SANRAKU KANAZAWA, focusing on its great location near the classic sightseeing spots and a comfortable three-night stay. It turned out to be the perfect choice. Kanazawa Castle and Omicho Market were just a few minutes away on foot, and I visited them again and again. I could also walk to Kazuemachi, Oyama Shrine, and Korinbo, truly enjoying Kanazawa by exploring the city on foot. The Room I stayed in was very practical and comfortable, with lovely furnishings and amenities. It was a shame there is no Onsen Facility. I was told I could use an affiliated sister Hotel, but in the end I didn’t go; instead, bath salts were provided, which I enjoyed—the color, fragrance, and benefits helped relieve my fatigue. The bedroom, living area, and bathroom were connected in a convenient layout that allowed easy movement throughout. The view from the window overlooked a garden covered in snow, letting me really feel wintertime Kanazawa. Housekeeping was thorough, and all of the staff were kind—I felt comfortable every day of my stay. Since my family loves baths (we bathe 4–5 times a day), it would be nice if extra bath towels and face towels were provided. As for dining—above all else—the breakfast quality was outstanding. I’ve stayed at many hotels before, but this was top level. Having freshly fried tempura and sushi in the morning was a first for me. The club lounge was also excellent: not only drinks but also an impressive selection of food—especially the cakes, which were truly delicious—and the live violin performance was wonderful as well. To friends or acquaintances visiting Kanazawa, I would recommend “THE HOTEL SANRAKU KANAZAWA.” It made for an extremely satisfying trip to Kanazawa.

    Nightmare

    When I took a bathrobe from the shelf to use it, I found someone’s used underwear placed on top of it. It was extremely unpleasant, and after that everything felt questionable, making my stay very unsettling. The next day, it ended with a brief, formulaic apology along the lines of “We will work to prevent this from happening again.” Despite how disgusting the experience was—so much so that I felt like I deserved compensation for emotional distress.

    Kanazawa’s traditional culture, reimagined in a modern style.

    Excellent location right in front of Omicho Market. A Hotel where Kanazawa’s traditional elegance and modern style come together beautifully. The room we stayed in wasn’t very large, but the bathroom area was spacious and the amenities were great. The front desk staff were polite and professional; more systematic than a Ryokan, but in a good way. However, perhaps because we had a van, the parking exit was narrow and it was a close call.

    A relaxing Hotel in a convenient location for sightseeing

    We stayed here as a family of four while sightseeing in Kanazawa. It is in a convenient location for sightseeing—right near Omicho Market, and within walking distance of Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden—yet the Hotel itself was quiet and relaxing. The connecting rooms were very helpful for our family of four. Breakfast was a buffet where we could enjoy Kanazawa specialties as well as fresh seafood.

    Excellent!

    Recently, due to work, I’ve often stayed in the standard rooms. The cleanliness of the building and rooms, along with the interior design, is—personally—the best in the prefecture; no matter how many times I stay, I’m impressed every time. Even just “staying overnight” is more than satisfying, but this time I used the club lounge again for the first time in a while and had a truly fulfilling experience! In the club lounge, everything—from cakes to light snacks—was delicious, and there was also live violin music, making it very comfortable. This time as well, I spent most of the lounge’s opening hours relaxing with a book. (Sorry for staying so long every time.) All of the staff are kind, and even small comments like “Thank you as always” really made me happy. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and being able to enjoy freshly made items from the live kitchen—such as omelets, tempura, and sushi—was so delicious that I ended up eating too much! I’d love to stay again with access to the club lounge.

    The three of us stay...

    The three of us stayed for a “girls’ trip” at age 65. Since it had been almost 20 years, we knew we wouldn’t stop chatting, so we chose a Plan that included tea time. We chatted in the lounge until check-in, and kept chatting nonstop in our Room as well. We took our time and enjoyed a generous breakfast. Having kabura-zushi, a winter Hokuriku delicacy, was truly impressive. We were satisfied with the Room, the meals, and the cake. Thank you very much. Next time, we’ll have our “girls’ trip” here again at 66.

    We stayed here for a family trip with elderly parents. The connection room, with two twin rooms connected, was excellent. This layout is quite rare but ensures privacy, making it highly recommended for stays with adults only. The breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious. Additionally, the hospitality was outstanding. Truly worthy of its 5-star rating. We would love to stay at this hotel again!

    This is a five-star Hotel.

    First, the people: 1. The pickup bus driver and assistant were very pleasant. 2. Front desk staff provided polite service and a brief explanation of the city, which made me excited to explore Kanazawa even before heading out. 3. Room: Not spacious but well-designed for convenience. The bed was moderately firm and comfortable for sleeping. High-quality amenities with a nice fragrance, and the tea was delicious. All beverages in the room were complimentary. The shower included a rain shower feature, which was excellent. One minor issue (not a complaint): connecting an HDMI cable was slightly inconvenient; it would be great if this could be improved for ease of use. 4. Room cleaning staff: While the chief cleaner is Japanese, many of the staff are from Vietnam; they were all polite and pleasant, likely thanks to good training by their supervisor. I opted for eco-cleaning where only towels are replaced and trash is removed—unlike other hotels where you leave items in the hallway yourself here towels are placed in bags hung on your doorknob instead of entering your room—a system I found very thoughtful. 5. Breakfast: Having stayed at hundreds of hotels, this breakfast ranks among my top three in terms of variety! Hot dishes were served warm as they should be, and sparkling wine was casually available—a style I really liked! Staff attentively observed guests' needs—simply outstanding! I'd return to this Hotel just to enjoy that breakfast again. I couldn't personally thank everyone during my stay so I'd like to take this opportunity to say: "Thank you so much for taking care of me during my visit! Thanks to all your efforts, I've fallen in love with Kanazawa and look forward to visiting again!"

    The restroom is disappointing!

    I had a pleasant 3-night, 4-day stay. The breakfast was the best among all the accommodations I have ever stayed at, in terms of variety, cleanliness, and the spaciousness of the dining hall. The customer service was impeccable, showcasing excellent training throughout! However, I found the room layout very disappointing. The toilet, sink area, and bathroom being combined made it extremely inconvenient to use. Especially when staying with my father, it required extra consideration. Next time, I would prefer to stay in a room with separate facilities for each.

    Elegant Hotel Stay in the Historic City of Kanazawa

    It was my first time staying here. The entire Hotel exuded an elegant and graceful atmosphere. The guest room was a perfect blend of European elegance and Kanazawa's signature gold, making it very comfortable. Breakfast featured plenty of fresh local fish and vegetables, offering both Japanese and Western options at a high level of quality and quantity, leaving me extremely satisfied. The location is conveniently close to Kanazawa Castle Park, making it easy to go out for meals or sightseeing. Next time, I would love to try the Hotel's restaurant as well. Thank you very much to all the staff!

    What is the difference between the Superior Twin and the Garden Twin?

    The breakfast is absolutely delicious! It features local ingredients, a live kitchen, and beautifully presented desserts, all of which are meticulously prepared. (Since it was New Year's, there was also a traditional New Year’s meal.) Everything about it was simply outstanding. The room amenities were also excellent and exuded luxury. However, I was very disappointed with the Garden Twin Room. I chose it over the Superior Twin Room because it promised a view of the beautiful courtyard at a higher price point. Unfortunately, from the 6th floor, you can only look down on the courtyard, which defeats its purpose. The Garden Twin should be limited to lower floors for better views. Additionally, you can see into other rooms from the window, so privacy could be an issue. The premium pricing for the Garden Twin offered no real advantage in this case. Next time I plan to book a Superior Twin Room with breakfast instead.

    Everything is wonderful at the Hotel.

    We booked 2 rooms for a family of 4 and enjoyed the comfort of connecting rooms. The furnishings and wall art in the hotel were lovely. Breakfast exceeded expectations, with so many delicious options that we ended up eating too much. If you stay here, we highly recommend choosing a breakfast-included plan. Thank you for your hospitality; this is a hotel we would love to visit again.

    We used this facility to celebrate my father's 60th birthday. The staff were very attentive, and the amenities were excellent. However, when we dined at the restaurant, they forgot my father's birthday plate, which was very disappointing. The food was delicious, but since it was such an important day... I don't think we'll be returning.

    Amazing Hotel! But Disappointing...

    We stayed at the accommodation from the day before to the day of my birthday. The staff's service was pleasant, and the room was clean—absolutely no complaints there! However, there was one disappointing aspect... We had reserved a room with lounge access and were looking forward to enjoying plenty of delicious hotel-made cakes. When my partner asked, "Should we buy a cake since it's your birthday?" I replied, "No need! I'll eat lots in the lounge!" In reality, we only managed to have one piece of cake between the two of us. Since arriving on the 14:00 shuttle bus would have been too early for check-in time, we took the 15:10 shuttle bus instead. Check-in could be done in the lounge, so perhaps if we'd taken the 14:00 bus, they might have allowed us to proceed with check-in earlier—I’m not sure. But by the time we arrived at around 15:30 or so, it was very crowded in the lounge. We were told during our wait for check-in that "You can enjoy some cakes and drinks while waiting," so excitedly heading over to where they served cakes... there were only two types available—Mont Blanc and Shine Muscat Cake. Moreover, what seemed like placeholders for about ten different kinds of cakes were being cleared away right before our eyes... leaving me thinking “Is this all?” Neither of us eats Mont Blancs much; thus ended up sharing just one Shine Muscat Cake slice together. After completing check-ins & lingering till around 5 PM sipping drinks alongside cookies hoping more variety replenished eventually yet disappointingly remained solely limited towards Mont-Blanc options throughout entire duration despite noticing several other guests arriving post-us likely facing similar situations timing-wise coincidentally unlucky perhaps? Ultimately left feeling genuinely disheartened enough wanting deducting three stars rating-wise albeit breakfast experience exceeding expectations phenomenally redeeming somewhat inclining revisiting future Kanazawa trips potentially reconsideration-worthy overall impression-wise albeit addressing buffet-style unlimited-cake-limited-selection issues ensuring guaranteed-preferred-choice-order-options implemented avoiding ruining experiences entirely especially those specifically reserving accommodations primarily motivated indulging dessert-centric aspirations foremostly significant improvement suggestions recommended accordingly

    It was a very satisfying stay. The amenities were excellent, and I was surprised by the luxurious room facilities that exceeded the accommodation cost. The location near Omicho Market was convenient, and I would love to stay again. There was even a bathrobe, but unfortunately, I didn't notice it and couldn't use it.
