    This is my second stay.

    This year, I enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay again. The staff's service was excellent, and I had a relaxing time at this comfortable Hotel. The view from the Room was absolutely stunning. I was delighted to find beer added to the free drinks in the refrigerator this time. As with last year, I ordered the upgraded meal option and was amazed by the size of the lobster compared to last year. On the second day, we enjoyed Goto beef. The meals were incredibly delicious for both days. Additionally, the bar lounge was fantastic. The staff were kind and fun, knowledgeable about drinks, and made it a wonderful experience. One thing I wish for is having more breakfast options... Since breakfast on both days was Japanese-style, it would be great if guests could choose between Japanese and Western-style breakfasts during a Multiple Night Stay!

    Everything was wonderful.

    I have visited Nagasaki several times, but this was my first time in Goto. After looking at the website, I decided to stay here when visiting Goto. The dinner and breakfast, facilities, view from the room, spa, and the smiles and hospitality of all the staff I met... everything was comfortable and truly wonderful. I never imagined that I could grind beans myself and enjoy coffee in my room. It was a luxurious time just gazing at the sea while drinking coffee that I ground myself. "This is what it means for one's heart to be enriched," I realized. Walking along the recommended early morning walking course and watching the sunrise from a nearby observatory is unforgettable. Refreshing at the spa and enjoying meals with fresh ingredients paired with non-alcoholic drinks were truly superb experiences. Wanting to relive this excitement once more, I definitely want to come back again for another stay.

    Everything exceeded expectations!

    I traveled to Goto seeking extraordinary scenery, relaxation, space, and cuisine, and stayed at the Property. Everything exceeded my expectations for an exceptional stay. The scenery is wonderful. The Room is simple yet functional with a sense of luxury that leaves nothing to be desired. The building has a unique atmosphere that can only be experienced here, including the impression of the corridors. The food features exquisitely crafted dishes centered around top-quality local ingredients. Everything was perfect. All the staff members were courteous and helped us savor this extraordinary experience. It was truly great to make an instant decision based on intuition when I saw the site! I would love to visit again!

    It was good.

    Regarding meals, breakfast was disappointing, especially since dinner was good. Also, regarding the drink menu at dinner, there were many types of wine, but if there were a few more types of shochu and other drinks available, it would make for an even better Hotel. Everything else was great.

    The best retreat Hotel

    It was my first time visiting Goto, and the scenery was so beautiful that I could clear my mind in the quiet surroundings! The Hotel Room seemed designed to offer the best view of Goto's stunning landscape, with outstanding design, amenities, and furniture. The picture window is amazing! From check-in to check-out, there was a breathtaking view that I didn't want to miss for even a second, providing a soothing space for relaxation. I will definitely stay again!

    A lovely Hotel with an ocean view

    As you pass through the entrance of the Hotel, the stunning sea of Goto bursts into view through the fully glassed area. It is a beautiful building that blends with the surrounding nature. The Room also offers a similarly wonderful ocean view, and the open-air bath is spacious, providing a great sense of freedom. The humidifier in the Room is as beautiful as a piece of art, and I have never seen such a highly designed humidifier before. The bathrobe was light, fluffy, and very comfortable. The staff were all welcoming with smiles, and I was very healed by the delicious cuisine and the beautiful sea of Goto. There is just one thing I would like to mention regarding the seating during the dinner I was looking forward to. It was evening, but the sea was still shining with the setting sun, and those who arrived earlier were seated at tables where they could enjoy their meal while gazing at the sea. At that time, there were still vacant seats on the sea side. On that day, there were few guests, no reserved seats, and it was quite relaxed. When I went for dinner, for some reason, I was guided to a mountain-side seat despite the availability of sea-side seats. The mountain side had no particular attractions like being beautifully lit up. I requested to be moved to a sea-side seat, and it was changed immediately, but why were we the only ones guided to the mountain side? I felt as if there was a distinction made between us and other guests, and even while enjoying the truly delicious cuisine, I felt uneasy until the end. When being guided to the seat, it would have been nice if we were at least asked, "Which would you prefer, the sea side or the mountain side?" I think I could have enjoyed the meal more comfortably. Please let me know the reason why we were specifically seated on the mountain side despite the availability of sea-side seats. If it was done without any particular thought, it is disappointing in terms of hospitality. I asked who decides the seating. I would appreciate it if the staff member who made the decision could explain the intention and respond. Retreat-san is truly a wonderful, exquisite Property. I am considering staying at Retreat-san for my next trip, but depending on your response, I might reconsider. Other than that, I had a very comfortable and wonderful healing time. Thank you for taking care of us. Please take care of yourselves.

    43rd Wedding Anniversary Trip

    I learned about it through a travel introduction on YouTube and decided I wanted to visit. I stayed in Fukuoka the night before on January 20th, and from the 21st, I spent four days and three nights driving around Goto Fukue Island with a rental car. On the 23rd, I stayed for one night at Retreat Onkochishin. Having seen it on YouTube, I was excited to visit. It was truly a wonderful Hotel. The breathtaking view of the sea and islands from the Room was the best location. The open-air bath in the Room had the perfect water temperature, allowing me to stretch my legs and relax in the tub. The hospitality of the staff was excellent, and the dinner service was outstanding. They introduced me to the fact that there are Retreat series Resort Hotels across The whole country, and I now look forward to visiting various Retreat Onkochishin locations in the future. Lastly, I would like to share two points that caught my attention. The first is the indoor slippers provided in the Room. They had a luxurious feel and matched the Room well. While wearing socks, I didn’t notice any issues, but after taking a bath, my body was warm, and I wore them barefoot. The discomfort I felt at that moment was unforgettable. The slippers felt sticky and clung to my feet. I assume they are disinfected, but they felt sticky enough to make me think of how many guests might have worn them before. The second point is the door that separates the sink area from the Room. When I closed it, I noticed visible dust on the carpet where the door had been. While the Room and location were fantastic, I felt that the cleaning in less visible areas was insufficient. This mismatch was disappointing. These are two points that can be easily improved, so I wanted to share them.

    Second stay

    I visited Fukue Island for the first time in two years and stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days again. Once again, it was a very pleasant stay. A welcome back card was prepared in the Room, which made me very happy. This time, I chose a different Room from the previous visit, and I liked the changes in the placement of the bed and sofa. The meals were absolutely delicious, and I was extremely satisfied. I especially loved the dishes that emphasized the natural flavors of the ingredients. I requested pairings for both days, and every pairing matched perfectly with the dishes. On the second day, I was able to enjoy a wine-only pairing, which was also wonderful. Two female staff members I spoke with during the meals left a particularly strong impression on me. Thank you for your warm smiles and hospitality. I would be delighted to see you again on my next visit. While my parents were touring the churches, I took a walk around the island. The air was so clean, and it was a truly refreshing experience. I definitely want to visit Fukue Island again and stay at this Property. Thank you for the 3 wonderful days!

    An adult Stays where you can spend a relaxing time in an open space.

    To heal the fatigue of the year, my husband and I stayed for three nights. A few years ago, we had a good memory of staying at a Setouchi Retreat operated by Onkochishin, and this time, wanting to enjoy a different place, we decided to change our destination to Goto. First, the cuisine that utilized the products of Goto, which we were looking forward to, was not only visually beautiful but also finished with a very delicate taste, allowing us to feel the deliciousness of the ingredients. I think the portion size was rather small, but personally, it was a comfortable amount. Also, as we both like alcohol, we chose wine pairing for dinner. The sommeliers introduced us to various wines from both domestic and international sources, as well as sake, which we enjoyed every day along with the meals. Before meals, we had our favorite cocktails made at the Ray Bar and enjoyed chatting with the staff. It seemed like there were few users during our stay, but I hope this space will be maintained as a feature of the Facility (along with the spa) in the future. Finally, the sea and sky that could be seen from the guest room were another point we were looking forward to, and the scenery that changed with the passage of time was truly beautiful. It was a peaceful stay filled with gourmet food.

    I visited Goto for t...

    I visited Goto for the first time. The retreat atmosphere was excellent. The staff at the Hotel were well-trained and very nice. The birthday plate was stylishly written on lava. I stayed from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day, and I was satisfied with the meals, including soba and ozoni. After dinner, the head chef greeted everyone, which was very touching. The hospitality was top-notch. I thought I would like to visit every year.

    I enjoyed my stay for two nights.

    I believe that delicious ingredients and wonderful service staff naturally gather on this beautiful island. I wanted to stay here, so I stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was somewhat small, but its compactness made it easy to use. It was a pity that the bath was not an onsen, but it was very warming. The meals were very delicious, utilizing the island's ingredients. The sommelier's pairing matched my preferences, and the explanations were thorough, allowing me to enjoy the meal. The use of custom glassware was lovely. However, compared to other properties of this class, I felt the dishes lacked impact. The amenities were good, but I wished there were more items using camellia oil (there were only shampoo, conditioner, and body soap). The free drinks in the refrigerator were nice, but there were no snacks in the room, and it would have been better if they were provided. I thought it would be nice to have a free lounge in addition to the welcome drink. I especially wondered why the café menu was charged. The coffee in the room is a manual style where you grind the beans yourself, but the beans seemed old, and it wasn't very tasty, plus it was very troublesome to make. However, the location and the view from the room were irreplaceable and very healing. Thank you very much.

    Was it heaven? It was that amazing!

    It was my first time visiting the Goto Islands, and even before my stay, the staff provided truly kind and attentive service. During my actual stay, all the staff were full of smiles and compassion. Everyone's smiles were very beautiful and lovely. The view from the room was so breathtaking that it seemed otherworldly. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were made with local ingredients and prepared with great care, and they were very delicious. Two types of room wear and yukata were provided, both stylish and extremely comfortable to wear. The stargazing tour was also wonderful. I hope to visit again.

    Isn't the rating too high? Encounters with group guests too.

    The room and the ocean view were truly wonderful, and the open-air bath maintained a comfortable temperature, allowing us to enjoy it at any time. However, other aspects were so disappointing that I am leaving this review in hopes of improvement. The tour group guests were chatting in the lobby for a long time, and since the dinner venue was in the same open space, we had to dine amidst the hustle and bustle. It was so noisy that we couldn't even hear the explanation of the dishes. Unable to bear it, we informed the staff, who said we could have dessert in our room, and we were hurriedly sent back. The dessert in the room was sweet Japanese confectionery, but no drinks were provided, so we had to make tea ourselves. Perhaps it was a mistake to choose the standard course for the meal, as it felt like a healthy course and was not luxurious. Maybe we had too high expectations due to the high review ratings. Despite the not-so-cheap accommodation fee, we felt disappointed. We planned to stay until the 11 a.m. checkout the next day, but with not many places to explore, we left the hotel early to change our mood.

    It was a wonderful Stays.

    The facilities, meals, and staff hospitality at the hotel were all wonderful, allowing for a comfortable stay. The view from the room was spectacular, and the open-air bath was excellent! If I had to mention a downside, it would be that having a more comprehensive range of basic skincare products in the amenities would be appreciated, as it would allow women to stay without bringing their own.

    The view is magnificent.

The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were extremely delicious. If I may make one request, it would be to have the white wine chilled, but when I asked, it was promptly taken care of.     Blissful Time

    I used it for the girls' trip that we decided to take once a year. I was casually browsing the IKYU.com site and it caught my eye for a moment. I made a reservation for a wonderful location and a lovely room. Above all, the Goto Islands were a place I had never been to and always wanted to visit, so I decided immediately!! It was a hotel that did not disappoint at all. The food and ingredients were fresh, especially the broth was excellent, and I transferred the broth from the small pot to a soup bowl to enjoy it to the last drop because it was too good to waste. The only regret was that I wanted to ask the head chef how to make that broth. The amenities, which women are most interested in, were very cute with the use of "wood," and the room wear was also cute! This trip was a journey from Fukuoka to the Goto Islands, and it turned out to be a bit of a luxurious trip, but if I have another chance, I would love to visit the Goto Islands again. I highly recommend this hotel.

    A hotel that makes you want to stay longer

    We stayed for two nights to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Thank you for all the considerations from before our stay to during our stay. It became a memorable trip, including the charm of the Goto Islands. I wished we could have stayed for about a week instead of just two nights, to spend time leisurely in a good way. This is a property where you want to spend your time doing what you like, when you like, without thinking about anything. It would be even more perfect if there was a terrace where you could gaze at the starry sky. The meals were undeniably delicious, but the broth for the hot pot was incredibly tasty, so it might be good to emphasize and promote it more as a unique taste of Nagasaki and Goto. I wonder if they sold it at the shop? I wonder if I can go again someday. It's a recommended property that I would like to visit if I can. Thank you very much.

    Room with a nice view

    The room with a great view was in a very wonderful location. However, perhaps the downside is that it gets too hot when the sun rises? It would be nice to have some measures to enjoy the view without it getting too hot, other than blinds. It was also nice to be able to see the sunrise from outside the lobby. The problem was that it took a very long time for the meals to be served. The waiting time was extremely long, which was inconvenient. I hope this point will be greatly improved. The private open-air bath had a constant temperature adjustment, which was also good. Overall, it felt not worth the cost.
