    Would love to visit again.

    I visited with my two children, one in 6th grade and the other in middle school. The staff were all very friendly! There was a café that my sons really enjoyed. The food was also delicious. Thank you very much!

    What is the view from the room?

    This was my first time using this service. I chose the "Room Assigned on Arrival Plan," but the room was on the second floor, and with a torii gate and a large tree in front, the ocean view was obstructed. While it is advertised as all rooms being ocean-view, some clarification or a note about certain rooms might be necessary. Additionally, the loud volume of the buffet's background music was concerning.

    Perfect for family trips!

    The lobby and customer service were excellent, giving me an immediate sense of confidence in this accommodation. The room was spacious, casual in design, but very well-maintained. The view from the balcony was stunning. Meals were served buffet-style; while not particularly special, they were satisfying for a casual family trip. I did not use the large public bath, so I cannot comment on it. The pool appeared very clean and inviting. With the beach right in front of the accommodation, it seems perfect for swimming during summer. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

    Stunning views

    The view from the Room was amazing both in the morning and at night. Many of the staff working here were foreigners, which made me feel impressed by hearing different languages in such a unique and local tourist spot. The Hotel seemed to allow some flexibility in their services, offering small events, decorations, or even taking care of children during meals. I found that quite nice. There was a lively pool area, but I decided to pass on that.

    Overall, the price a...

    Overall, the price and quality are well-balanced. The free drink service with T-shirt purchase at the poolside café is a great feature. I would like to use this facility again. However, it would be even better if there was a sauna in the bath area. It’s disappointing that my Room requests are not considered despite being a repeat guest every year. At check-in, when asked about meal times and expressing my preferences, I was strictly told to come only at specific times. Additionally, when arriving early and sharing my Room request, I was told it couldn’t be accommodated immediately in a rather cold and impersonal manner without any smile—it felt very businesslike and unwelcoming. At dinner in the restaurant, although there were seats available near the window, we were guided to a seat at the back corner instead. When we expressed our wish to sit by the window since it was vacant, we were told priority is given to those who arrive earlier; however, as we had arrived early ourselves and questioned why those seats remained open intentionally, they reluctantly seated us there after all—this did not leave us with a pleasant impression.

    The breakfast buffet...

    The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing!! There were plenty of Japanese dishes, and everything was delicious and satisfying. :) The Onsen was smaller than expected, which was a bit disappointing, but the open-air bath allowed for a relaxing time while listening to the sound of ocean waves!

    The front desk staff's poor service was disappointing.

    I stayed with two pets and my one-year-old grandchild. Although the pool for pets was small and a bit disappointing, the 4th-floor pool was great as my grandchild could enjoy it! The buffet had a wide variety of options, and the staff were very attentive, providing perfect service. It was clear that they are well-trained. On the other hand, the front desk staff's attitude was terrible. A woman in her 40s who seemed to hold a senior position responded in an entirely condescending manner. Although I paid for two pets to stay, everything prepared in the room was only for one pet. When I informed the front desk that I had paid for two pets and requested items like cages, food bowls, and pet sheets for both of them, they gave me an incomprehensible response saying "That is just your accommodation fee!" The impression of this hotel completely changed due to how poorly the front desk staff handled things. I don't think I'll be staying here again.

    Thank you for the excellent service.

    This time, we stayed as a family. Since our children are 6 and 2 years old and still very young, we may have caused some inconvenience to others. We sincerely appreciate the kindness of the reception staff and restaurant staff for their thoughtful assistance. We look forward to staying for the third time on our next visit. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful summer vacation!

    A Hotel for Family Fun

    Meals are served buffet-style, with kid-friendly menu options, making it very family-oriented. The Hotel features a pool, Onsen, and a game center, making it ideal for family vacations. The staff were kind and often smiling, leaving a great impression. Above all, the ocean view from the guest rooms was spectacular.

    The staff were kind, attentive, and cheerful, making the dinner experience enjoyable. However, I was disappointed by the poor manners of some international tourists, particularly during meals and in the public bath area. It was unpleasant to witness.

    A bit disappointing

    There were many foreign staff members, and perhaps because of this, the Room cleaning was not thorough. At the breakfast and dinner buffet, food was rarely replenished, which was disappointing compared to what is shown on Instagram or TikTok. The pool was very enjoyable.

    Wonderful Hotel

    I have stayed here about five times, and it has been excellent every time. I highly recommend it to others. The Room and food are both great, but the best part is the outstanding service. The women at the restaurant, in particular, are cheerful and kind, leaving me impressed every time. Everyone except for the elderly man at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. I will definitely stay here again.

    The interior was newly renovated and very clean.

    This was my first stay here, recommended by an acquaintance. The interior seemed newly renovated and was very clean. Both dinner and breakfast were seafood buffets, offering a wide variety of fresh seafood. However, as there were many international guests, some buffet platters became messy, which was a bit disappointing. The bath featured natural hot spring water associated with Ota Dokan and was excellent.

    Relatively satisfied, but...

    I have stayed at various Resort Hotels, and there were both positive aspects and areas for improvement at this Hotel. The most remarkable feature of this Hotel is undoubtedly the oceanfront view from the Room. The proximity to the beach and the ability to stay with beloved family pets are also great points. However, while staying with a pet was enjoyable in many ways, I feel that if it were just people without pets, it might not be compelling enough for a repeat visit. For instance, we opted for a course meal during our stay, but none of the dishes stood out as exceptionally delicious; overall, they were average. (That said, the staff's service during meals was excellent.) Additionally, despite being an oceanfront Room, both the windows and balcony doors were very dirty (and we couldn't open the door to the balcony from the Japanese-style room). Another issue was when I had left my car key with them; retrieving it took an unnecessarily long time even though I only needed access to my car briefly. While I've pointed out several concerns here, I must say that traveling with a pet was comfortable thanks to spacious Rooms where we could relax without worry.

    Stay 2 nights at a Resort Hotel with natural hot spring water.

    We stayed for two nights in a camper van with our 12-year-old Toy Poodle and enjoyed the Onsen. - Highlights (Not just the parking lot, but all the staff were very friendly and welcoming): ① Despite having a large vehicle, we were allowed to park near the pet-friendly entrance, which was a great help for my wife with mobility issues. ② Although we didn’t have high expectations based on the exterior of the building (apologies), our renovated room was very clean, odor-free, and our dog relaxed immediately. ③ The seafood Italian dinner course was delicious—Italian cuisine is rare in Izu! On the second night, they changed up some cooking methods for variety. Breakfast was a buffet; they kindly offered my wife a wagon due to her mobility issues—very helpful! ④ The Onsen lived up to Atagawa’s reputation with abundant free-flowing hot spring water; my wife said it even helped her joint pain. ⑤ All rooms are ocean-view; ours was on the 4th floor. We enjoyed painting and relaxing to the sound of waves—a wonderful stay overall! However, power lines and poles obstructed part of the view. ⑥ Coffee service by the poolside added a nice Resort Hotel touch. ⑦ Fellow guests were lovely people who seemed happy and relaxed as well. - Areas for improvement: There wasn’t any drinking water provided in our room. While tap water was labeled safe to drink, tea made using it had an unpleasant chlorine taste when boiled in their kettle—disappointing overall. That’s all!

    Accommodation with Your Beloved Dog

    Stayed for one night with my beloved dog on a weekend in June. The room was spacious and clean, with a view of the ocean from the room. The balance between Japanese and foreign staff was excellent, and we received very good service. We are grateful for their prompt response to an inconvenience caused by our mistake. The Onsen featured sodium-rich water, which was very pleasant. There is also an open-air bath available. The changing area is not very large, so it’s best to time your visit when it’s less crowded. On the lobby floor, cold tea was provided as a welcome drink. The dog run was compact but perfect for small dogs to enjoy thoroughly. Dinner included a luxurious course featuring sea bream, steak, and lobster—it was absolutely delicious! The fava bean pasta stood out as particularly tasty. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a wide variety of dishes available. Local specialties such as grilled horse mackerel fillets, fried horse mackerel, and squid fish cakes were delightful to try. It’s unfortunate that I couldn’t sample everything due to the extensive selection. I had a relaxing weekend with my dog and left feeling completely satisfied!

    The view was amazing!

    The room on the top floor offered a stunning view of the ocean from the balcony, which was truly breathtaking! The large public bath was very relaxing, and by going during an early breakfast time slot, I managed to enjoy it all to myself, experiencing an incredible sense of freedom. For meals, I chose the buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Although it was crowded at first, it became quieter later on, allowing me to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. Overall, the food was delicious; however, some dishes felt slightly too strongly seasoned. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, making my stay very pleasant. It turned out to be a wonderful trip. I would love to visit again!

    Stay with Your Dog

    I always make Reservations on IKYU.com. This time, I searched for a place with an ocean view where I could stay with my dog and decided to visit here. While many surrounding Ryokans have a rustic feel, this place was well-maintained and clean. The dedicated entrance for dogs was a nice touch. The hairdryers in the bath area were Dyson and ReFa, which was excellent. For dinner, we chose the course meal that included lobster and steak. However, most of the staff were foreigners who were trying their best but struggled with tasks like evenly dividing the steak sauce—one side ended up with less—and it made us nervous every time dishes were served. Honestly, they didn’t need to portion it out right in front of us; it felt unnecessary. Was it meant as a performance? What stood out most was that after finishing the fish dish, the knife and fork were placed back for reuse with the next meat dish... It felt odd not having two sets of utensils available. As for coffee after dinner, improving its quality would leave a more lasting impression as part of concluding such meals beautifully. Also disappointing was that milk wasn’t provided; instead, regular cow’s milk was served. When traveling, satisfaction with meals is incredibly important. That said, our Room was clean and comfortable to stay in overall!

    The meals are exceptionally delicious.

    Waited for confirmation of my companion's availability and searched for a 5-day stay at the end of Golden Week, finding this place. A twin room for three people with two meals at just over 60,000 yen seemed reasonable for the season, so I made an immediate Reservation. Later noticed that check-in was at 5 PM, which ruined my plan to read by the poolside, but both the dinner and breakfast buffet were delicious, leaving my family very satisfied. It was a Resort Hotel we might visit again.

    A Hotel of Delicacies and Warmth

    I stayed here during Golden Week because it was reasonably priced with a last-minute discount just 10 days before. Conclusion: Families with kids should definitely visit. The buffet is incredibly delicious. The staff are exceptionally kind—they even helped soothe and hold my baby who couldn’t yet support their neck. Amazing service! The Room is clean and spacious, and the heated pool looks fun. Ah, I wish there had been a Hotel like this when I was younger!

    The meals were excellent.

    We chose this Onsen because it allows dogs and is located right in front of the sea. It was great that the entrance for guests with dogs was separate from the one for general guests, so we didn’t have to worry about bothering others. The room was clean and tidy, with no dog smell at all. Dinner was a course meal that we could enjoy at a leisurely pace, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of delicious options. However, although they were not Japanese, some guests took a long time using the washing area in the bath, which made us wait quite a while. In the morning, we took a walk along the beach and enjoyed the refreshing scent of the sea—it felt like such a rejuvenating experience after so long. Thank you for your hospitality!

    When I got off at Atagawa Station, it suddenly started pouring rain, making it impossible to walk. I contacted the Hotel, and they promptly came to pick me up. The Hotel had also been renovated and was very clean.

    We had a wonderful time on our three-generation trip. There were activities for elementary school children, such as keychain making, dinosaur hunting, puzzles, a heated pool, and table games at the café to keep them entertained without getting bored! The staff at the buffet venue were very attentive and greeted us with warm smiles. The only disappointment was the shuttle service to the station on our way back. While we had arranged for shuttle service upon arrival, we completely forgot to request it for our return trip. Unfortunately, there were no available slots at our desired time, so we ended up walking to the station in the rain. It would have been helpful if staff could confirm whether return shuttle service was needed during check-in when asking about parking usage (we mentioned that we wouldn’t be using parking). Still, we had such a lovely experience that we'd love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    The meals are delicious.

    I visited with my wife and my son's family. The meals had a wide variety, and everything was delicious. The bath was spacious and enjoyable. However, the amenities in the room and Onsen felt somewhat lacking.

    Kept waiting repeatedly.

    I usually use IKYU because I expect high-quality accommodations and services, but this time was disappointing. I believe the selection criteria should be reconsidered. At the very least, it should be labeled as a casual hotel. While the guidance from arrival to the parking lot was smooth, there were many instances of waiting afterward. First, I had to wait at check-in reception. When my turn finally came and I completed the procedure, I thought I'd immediately receive my room key; however, I was told to reserve breakfast time with another staff member located a bit further away and had to line up again there. Only after that did I finally receive my key. During the stay, car keys are also kept by them, so every time you want to take out your car, you have to go all the way back to the front desk. The next morning when I went to get my car key in advance for loading luggage into it before checkout, it overlapped with other guests checking out and caused another long wait. During checkout itself, additional payments for Hot Spring Tax and pet accommodation fees needed separate processing which took more time. Why can’t these fees be prepaid like accommodation costs? This inefficiency at reception causes unnecessary delays. The room was partially renovated and clean in some areas; however, parts like the toilet, bathroom, and Japanese-style room showed noticeable aging. Particularly unpleasant was finding what seemed like hair or sludge clogging up the bathroom drain (I took photos). Although we booked for four people there were only two beds provided while futons had to be laid out by ourselves. Breakfast was delicious though! All foreign staff members were smiling warmly with excellent service throughout our stay—this left a good impression! The pool atmosphere felt nice too along with great service from café staff members as well. In contrast though—the front desk team’s attitude fell short overall: For example when waiting near elevators one staff exited without holding doors open courteously nor acknowledging us standing nearby whatsoever… Another instance involved asking recommendations regarding personally favored restaurants even if slightly distant yet instead got directed towards random bars found online (without remembering names beforehand). Is this really an IKYU-selected accommodation? Unfortunately no repeat visit planned here anymore!

    The Onsen is excellent.

    This was a repeat visit. We came back because it’s so comfortable here. I heard there will be a new menu starting in March! Unfortunately, my son, who is a picky eater, couldn’t find anything to eat this time either. The adults, however, enjoyed plenty of food. The coconut seafood curry was especially delicious—my wife had three servings! The onsen water quality is truly amazing as always! Listening to the sound of the waves while soaking was so relaxing that I fell asleep. However, I was disappointed to see some foreign guests entering the onsen with their slippers on. They even washed themselves wearing slippers and went straight into the changing room afterward, leaving the floor soaking wet. It was shocking since it’s something I’ve never seen before. Since we made a last-minute reservation, I understand it couldn’t be helped—but unfortunately, our room had an unobstructed view from the pool area. We couldn’t open the curtains to enjoy the ocean view because of this issue with privacy in our room—it lowered our overall impression of it quite a bit.

    Grandchild's Graduation Celebration

    Stayed for my grandchild's graduation celebration. The room was clean, and the meals were delicious. The staff provided excellent service, making our stay very comfortable. However, it was unfortunate that there were limited washing areas in the bath, causing guests to wait in line.
