    Solo travel

    Conveniently located just steps from the subway station. Also, as it is not for sightseeing but for returning to Kansai, it is a very convenient and efficient Hotel. The casual atmosphere is also nice.

    Relaxing in Snowy Kyoto

    I've visited Kyoto many times, but this is the first time I've seen snow accumulate. On such days, a hotel directly connected to the station is appreciated. The entrance is very stylish and spacious, and the staff greeted us with smiles. It felt nice. The room was for three people, so it felt compact, which was understandable. The cleaning was thorough, but unfortunately, there were only glasses for two people. Also, when opening the roller blinds, the window was large, which was nice, but the neighboring company was in full view. The curtains couldn't be opened. It would be nice to have some privacy. However, the surroundings were quite quiet, and I was able to sleep soundly. This time, breakfast was not included, but it seems you can have it for 3,400 yen, so I would like to try it next time.

    Directly connected to the subway station, the access from Kyoto Station was excellent, and being close to Kyoto Gyoen allowed for pleasant walks, making the location very convenient. Additionally, the front desk staff provided courteous service. While there were some minor inconveniences, such as having drinking water, coffee, and amenities located on the first floor, there was nothing lacking. For the buffet-style breakfast, we were informed that it would be less crowded during the early hours, so we went early and were able to enjoy a variety of dishes at a leisurely pace to our satisfaction. We were especially delighted to find the much-talked-about acai, which was delicious.

    Good value for money.

    Located just a short distance from Marutamachi Subway Station, this new Hotel offers clean Rooms with ample space. Amenities can be picked up as needed from the lobby, and water is available from the water server near the elevator, which is a great initiative from an SDGs perspective. Thanks to the off-season, I was able to stay at an affordable price, which is appreciated given the rising costs of Hotel accommodations.

    The annex building was very good.

    I often visit Kyoto, but since I have many regular Stays, this is my first time at this Hyatt. It is located north on Karasuma Street, close to the Kyoto Imperial Palace. This time, I made a sudden reservation for New Year's Eve on the 31st. I chose the annex building because the toilet, bath, and washbasin are separated. The annex building is located across the road from the main building. Being a separate building, it is quiet. The Room was a Deluxe Twin, 29 square meters, and was more spacious than expected. The wet area is bright with indirect lighting, and although the basin is single, the wide washstand is convenient. Overall, the design is natural and bright. The bed was comfortable, and I was able to relax very well. I would like to visit again.

    Safe due to rounded corners

    I realized that the reason the room feels spacious and safe is because the corners of the furniture are not sharp. As I get older, I find myself worrying more about stumbling in the room, so I feel reassured when the furniture in the hotel room has rounded corners. Here, the curves are very soft and gentle, allowing me to relax comfortably. There are still many hotels that haven't noticed this. Thank you.

    The breakfast was excellent.

    The Room and service were very good. The water server was also convenient. It was a bit disappointing that the nightwear was a one-piece type, but it was fluffy and nice. It was a bit troublesome to have to go to the lounge every time to drink coffee... (You need to bring a mug) (I think it won't bother you if you don't drink like crazy) The way to turn off the lights in the Room was a bit confusing. And above all, the breakfast was excellent. The menu and the variety were very good, and everything was incredibly delicious. Whether it's the way it's served or not, there wasn't much of the usual buffet mess after guests took their food, which I thought was subtly nice. I would like to use it again if I have the chance!

    A new and conveniently located Hotel.

    It is a new and clean Hotel. A minor drawback is that, perhaps because the staff is still getting accustomed, there were instances where the previous guest's coffee capsules were left behind, or used cups were not washed. It would be convenient if there were chairs or buckets in the bathroom. However, the breakfast menu is abundant, and the Hotel is conveniently located near a subway station, making it a comfortable place to stay.

    Do foreigners like ramen soup?

    The milk at breakfast was rich and very delicious. However, I don't think ramen soup should be served for breakfast, and the green onions in the miso soup were cut too large and ended up undercooked, which was a bit disappointing in places. Perhaps overseas guests might enjoy it. The omelet, which was cooked efficiently, was delicious. The place was clean, had a lovely simple design, and I had a relaxing time.

    I chose this hotel for my stay in Kyoto after a long time. The property is only three years old, so the facilities are new, simple, and clean, making for a pleasant stay. The location is also convenient, and I would like to use it again when I visit Kyoto.

    Overall satisfied, but a few minor complaints.

    Direct access to Marutamachi Station was very convenient. It's a location where you can take a walk to Kyoto Gyoen. The room was clean, and the tiled bathroom had a luxurious feel, overall I was satisfied, but the following points concerned me. - Once, there was a clear cat meowing sound from the hallway. My family also clearly heard it. I think it would be better to check the luggage thoroughly to ensure no pets are brought in (or, since most of the guests seemed to be foreigners, clearly state in foreign languages on the reservation site that pets are not allowed). I believe it could be a cause for bringing in mites to the room. - From an eco-friendly perspective, there seems to be a movement to abolish the distribution of bottled mineral water, and this hotel also had containers for water dispensers, but I am concerned about whether there is a proper stock of water that can be easily distributed in case of a disaster, and since we are here for sightseeing, I would like to have bottled mineral water that can be carried around. - The room was clean, but when I sat on the toilet, I could see mold dirt inside the overflow hole of the washbasin. I think it would be better to clean it regularly with chlorine. There were traces of cleaning, but parts that cannot be seen without crouching were also dirty all around. Also, despite the luxurious bathroom, there were parts where the grout was slightly pink (red mold), and I think it would be better to be more thorough with daily grout cleaning. There is also a risk of becoming slippery due to slime. - At the breakfast buffet, the way to dispense hot water from the thermos for tea was unclear (press the unlock button → press the silver part), and even as a Japanese person, I couldn't understand it without asking the staff. I saw at least three confused foreigners. - It was written to bring a mug from the room if you want to drink, but I would like paper cups at the coffee machine in the 1F lobby. Along with the earlier issue of mineral water, it is inconvenient, and I am not sure if it is eco-friendly or cost-cutting. I wrote down the details, but overall I was satisfied, so I would like to add that once again.
