    Highly Satisfied

    The Room was very clean, with a view of the garden that was truly relaxing and allowed for a peaceful stay. The fruit pack for 500 yen was absolutely delicious, and breakfast was enjoyable, tasty, with excellent service. The staff were wonderful and attentive. Definitely a Hotel I would love to stay at again!

    Disturbed by the difference from the photos.

    A clean and very tidy hotel. Access to areas outside the zone of your room is restricted, and the only known facilities are the laundry and gym. The number of laundry machines is overwhelmingly small. I intended to use them, but it was impossible due to too many users. It is very convenient as it’s less than a minute from the subway exit, but there are not many restaurants nearby. The reservation was for a Garden Twin Room for 3 people and a King Room for 2 people. I expected to stay in rooms shown in the photos at the time of reservation, but ended up with rooms that could hardly be described as having an open garden view. The shower head stopper in the bathroom kept falling off repeatedly, which made me concerned about maintenance quality. As for the gym, perhaps its air purifier had not been checked; it was over-dehumidified with its tank full of water and stopped functioning until I emptied it myself. However, having some towels near the machines was appreciated. Check-out felt very impersonal without even being asked "How was your stay?" It seemed purely procedural. While I thought this might be because we chose a low-cost plan, such experiences have never occurred at other hotels before, so it left me disappointed. Even though there may be many inbound tourists now, starting conversations in Japanese would feel more appropriate here. Being addressed entirely in English—even if one can speak it—didn’t make me feel like I was staying in Japan at all.

    I would like to use it again when visiting Kyoto.

    I was looking for a Hotel that is accessible, has clean Rooms, offers a breakfast buffet, and is relatively affordable while traveling with small children. Among many Hotels, I chose this one because it met all the above criteria and had good access to the Imperial Palace, reasonably priced parking adjacent to the Hotel, and a late check-out time of 12:00 PM. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The Room was stylish and comfortable with a view of the garden, making our stay very pleasant. Even my child who usually feels uneasy in new places slept soundly and seemed to enjoy their time here. The amenities were well-prepared and very helpful. Breakfast exceeded expectations—it was delicious! After enjoying the Gion Festival, we took an early morning walk around the Imperial Palace grounds and visited Sugawara-in Tenmangu Shrine for a wonderful summer day in Kyoto. I would love to stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto. Thank you so much!

    The front desk staff kindly and cheerfully assisted me when I asked for directions. Even though it seemed like a busy time, they were very accommodating, which made my day much more pleasant. Thank you!

    Limited explanation provided at check-in.

    The Room was comfortable and easy to use. Unfortunately, during the busy 3 PM check-in time, there were only two staff members at the counter, later increasing to three. There was no explanation about amenities or the coffee and water servers. While having coffee available is appreciated, it was inconvenient to bring a cup from the Room. It would be helpful if paper cups were provided. I wanted to have coffee when I returned to the Hotel at night but remembered there were no cups, so I had to buy one from a convenience store. Perhaps many guests feel the same way? Considering that many Hotels now offer excellent service, this was slightly disappointing.

    The pillow had an unpleasant smell.

    Stayed during the Gion Festival. Satisfied with the location, service, room lighting, and meals. However, there was an odor from the pillow itself. The pillowcase was fine, but the smell came from the pillow. That’s the only issue.

    The Facility was new and very clean. The staff greeted us politely when we went out, which felt rare in recent Hotels. It was a very impressive Hotel.

    At check-in, there was only one staff member at the reception, which caused delays as they were attending to requests from other guests in the lounge. This resulted in a long wait. Additionally, there was no explanation about amenities, so I had to check them myself after entering the room, which was inconvenient. The room did not have a coffee machine and only provided a sugar set, which was disappointing as I had been looking forward to enjoying my morning coffee. Furthermore, using the elevator was inconvenient. It wasn’t smooth to get on, and several times other guests shouted "Wait!" or forcibly reopened the doors to board. This made me feel quite uncomfortable and uneasy.

    Solo Stay

    I booked a twin room as the king room only had a shower. Coffee service was available in the lobby, and guests could bring their own mugs from the room to enjoy it, which was great as it avoided using paper cups. There were some issues like finding leftover snack wrappers under the sofa and hair stuck under the trash bin from previous guests, but overall, I had a comfortable stay. The location is excellent with a supermarket nearby. Breakfast was average, perhaps because I expected too much. Thank you!

    Does it depend on the floor?

    I stayed at my favorite Hyatt for a birthday trip! The room had a congratulatory letter and some sweets prepared for me! They were very delicious, and I was so happy! The room was clean, and the entire hotel was well-maintained, making it very comfortable to stay. As for amenities, I think having bottled water available, especially during summer, would be really helpful. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious and satisfying! However, there seemed to be some inconsistency in the reception staff's service. When I asked one female staff member about a comb while she was carrying an amenity box away for restocking, she reluctantly went to get it and handed it over with an unenthusiastic attitude... It made me feel somewhat uncomfortable. On the other hand, other staff members greeted me with smiles. Also—though this might be unavoidable—the hotel is located along a main road. While I expected some traffic noise and wasn’t particularly bothered by it this time around, my room on the 2nd floor happened to be directly above the garbage collection area. As a result, there was significant noise around 6 AM that startled me awake... Additionally (perhaps delivery trucks?), there were loud rattling noises near that same spot around 8 AM as well. Since I had hoped to sleep in after staying overnight specifically for relaxation purposes, this aspect felt slightly disappointing... It might help if such details about certain rooms or floors could be mentioned in coupons or booking information—though I understand this may not always be feasible. That said, given its excellent location from my perspective—I’d still love to stay here again if given another opportunity!

    As expected from the Hyatt Group.

    I have stayed here multiple times before. The room's color scheme and interior are simple and clean, with excellent housekeeping. Unfortunately, I could only book a room with a shower this time, but I still had a relaxing stay. There are many international guests, but most of them are well-mannered, so the atmosphere remains pleasant without feeling chaotic. The breakfast here is very delicious, and you can have an omelet made fresh in front of you. The "Hotel Curry" is incredibly tasty, and I always make sure to have it during my stay. We often talk about how great it would be if they sold it as a ready-made pack! Recently, beef stew has been added to the menu as well, which is also very delicious. Please continue providing such carefully prepared breakfasts! Next time, I'll book a room with a bath.

    Convenient.

    The Hotel is right next to Marutamachi Subway Station, making it very convenient. I really liked it. There were many foreign guests, giving it an atmosphere that didn’t feel typically Japanese. The Hotel was clean, but the walls seemed a bit thin; noise from neighbors slamming doors could be heard in the Room. There was only a shower, so I rated the bath experience lower, but the large showerhead made it comfortable overall.

    The Hotel You Were Interested In

    I had been curious about this Hotel for a while. This time, I stayed in the annex on the first floor, which felt refreshing. Outside the window was a small garden, and with the rain falling, it created a very pleasant atmosphere. Although I thought it was slightly away from the downtown area, its direct connection to Marutamachi made it convenient. For dinner, I went to Oike, which was within walking distance. I got to see parts of the city I hadn't seen before. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kyoto!

    Annex Deluxe Room

    The only Hyatt Place brand in the country, this is a convenient and user-friendly Hotel. I always stay at the new Annex building, and I love the natural and bright Room. The toilet, bath, and sink are separate with a single basin but bright and easy to use. It's lovely that you can see greenery from the Room. There is also a paid parking lot in front of the new Annex on the back street, which is convenient. I will visit again.

    Kyoto Sightseeing

    The Premium Twin Room was nice, but the window faced the road and there were no sheer curtains, so I couldn't open the curtains. Also, I tried to fill the bathtub for a bath, but it wouldn't hold water, so I ended up using just the shower.

    Thank you for staying with us for a Multiple Night Stay of 3 nights. On the final day, I left around 10:30 AM and returned around 3:00 PM, but the "Cleaning in Progress" sign was still displayed. I waited in the lobby for a while and was informed that cleaning would be completed by 3:30 PM. However, even at that time, there was no update from staff. When I went to the Room myself, cleaning had already been completed. Having stayed at many accommodations before, this was my first experience of such handling and it surprised me. Although an apology was offered during check-out, time cannot be reversed and an unpleasant feeling remains. It is disappointing.

    Everything was excellent.

    The front desk staff were very pleasant, and the breakfast venue staff were all kind and efficient, making for a wonderful start to the day. The annex was quiet, clean, and even though it was on the second floor, there were trees outside the window which made it very enjoyable. I would love to stay here again.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    I usually stay at a Hotel near Shijo Street, but I received information about a great deal on a Room at Hyatt and decided to stay for the first time. I got lost trying to find the annex, but now that I've experienced it, I know my way around. When you exit from Exit 6 of Marutamachi Station and turn left, you'll see the Hotel, making it easy to locate. Opening the curtains revealed a stylish block wall with some space in between—no sense of pressure, and it made me wish my own home could be like this. The smiles and hospitality of all the staff were wonderful. While Shijo Street is convenient, it's just two stations away from Shijo, so I'd love to stay here again. The coffee made with the Nespresso Mini in the Room was delicious (comes with three pods), so much so that I purchased one after returning home. Thank you very much!

    Very convenient and comfortable.

    I stayed for two nights while participating in the Kyoto Marathon. The location, right above the station, was very convenient for transportation. Thanks to this, I was able to have a light breakfast on the morning of the marathon. The Room was clean and comfortable, and I personally appreciated having access to laundry facilities and free coffee. If I have another opportunity, I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Mineral water bottles are no longer provided in each room, and empty pitchers are placed instead. Guests must go to the elevator hall to fill them with bottled water, which is very inconvenient. Why is plastic still used for toothbrushes and razors despite this?

    It was better than I expected!

    I often stay in accommodations in Kyoto, but this was my first time here. It's conveniently connected to the station, but since the subway stairs are long, I recommend using the elevator. The interior is clean and well-maintained, possibly because it's new. The bed was spacious with just the right firmness for a good night's sleep. The front desk staff seemed indifferent, but considering it's an international chain, it might be expected. The free coffee was inconvenient as you need to bring your own mug from your room. The highlight was breakfast; while not extensive in variety, they used quality ingredients with Kyoto-style seasoning that brought out great flavors. I would consider staying here again.

    The location and the Room are excellent.

    Kyoto offers many attractive hotels, making it hard to choose, but this time I selected this hotel for its convenient location near Kyoto Imperial Palace. Not only was the location excellent, but the new facilities were spotless and very clean. I stayed in a room located in a separate annex building rather than the main building. It was away from the lobby and less crowded, providing a very quiet stay. Being on the ground floor made it extremely convenient to go in and out of the room for meals or sightseeing, making it highly practical. The late check-out plan allowed me to enjoy lunch at nearby shops on the day of departure and relax in my room before checking out, which was very comfortable. The room was truly spacious with windows surrounded by walls offering views of some greenery while maintaining privacy from outside eyes. I could leave the curtains open and relax comfortably. The Marutamachi area has many delicious dining options while maintaining a calm atmosphere, making it an ideal place for those seeking a peaceful travel experience. This hotel does not offer luxurious services or overly attentive hospitality; however, for those who do not require such service, it is an extremely comfortable accommodation option.

    Although it was our mistake, we are truly grateful for your sincere response. The room was spacious enough for two people. There was a square table, which made it easy to read books or do research. I was pleased that the bath and toilet were separate. Amenities are available at the front desk. They provided Sekkisei amenities. Breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious, so much so that I didn't need lunch. I could spend time leisurely in a quiet atmosphere. It might be fair to say it's directly connected to the station. However, since the escalator only goes up, it was difficult to carry my suitcase down the stairs after checking out. There might be an elevator somewhere else. I would like to make a reservation again if I have another opportunity. Thank you very much for everything this time.

    The Room was clean, and the people who cleaned the Room were pleasant. I stayed alone but was able to relax without any worries. The lighting and mirror placement in the Room were perfect, allowing me to sleep peacefully. There are many bakeries nearby, so I went on a bakery tour.

    It was very beautiful and nice.

    The location is excellent, and the staff are young, efficient, and kind. I was surprised to find that although it seems like a foreign-owned property, most of the staff are Japanese. Many of the guests were foreigners who spoke English fluently and looked very stylish. I enjoyed the breakfast; however, my son was too nervous due to his university entrance exams to eat breakfast and ended up with a stomachache, so he quickly returned to our room. We were given a box with two small pieces of bread and two slices of fruit. The meals were neither particularly good nor bad. Given its convenience, you might not need to include breakfast in your stay. The fresh wheat gluten and soft tofu were delicious. The amenities were easy to use, and although the room wasn't spacious, the desk and sofa were well-arranged for comfort. I would like to stay here again.
