A Perfect Space to Awaken Your Senses

A one-night, two-day digital detox surrounded by books and nature in a stylish space was incredibly healing, offering a luxurious experience. The staff's warm smiles and excellent service made us feel at ease, and it had been a long time since we slept so soundly, feeling our tired minds and bodies completely relaxed. At the check-in café, we were welcomed with champagne and traditional snacks in an antique atmosphere while receiving explanations about the hotel and nearby exploration tips. Our luggage was kindly delivered to the room in advance, and we were later taken to the hotel in a tuk-tuk, adding a touch of elegance and fun. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with welcome drinks, including local juices and beers, as well as unlimited roasted coffee—a delightful treat for coffee lovers. Entering the room, we found a beautiful space with an open-air bath where the sound of flowing water was soothing. The fridge was stocked with plenty of beverages, and the fluffy bedding and cushions made our stay even more enjoyable. We lost count of how many times we soaked in the open-air bath—it was that relaxing! The herbal-scented shampoo left our hair shiny and fragrant; we wished it was available for purchase. Dinner featured wood-fired dishes made from local ingredients, served as a course meal in an open kitchen setting. The unique dishes were a delight to savor. Although we usually drink international wines, we opted for pairing alcohol with each dish this time, enjoying Shinshu wine and sake. The exquisite flavors of Shinshu wine paired perfectly with the delicate cuisine, engaging all our senses—taste, sight, smell, hearing (with the crackling fire), and touch—leaving us feeling rejuvenated. There’s absolutely nothing negative to mention—this is our top recommendation! We look forward to staying again for another digital detox and sensory retreat.
