The Start of Your Journey
We stayed here the night before our trip, booking at short notice for the following day. I have liked this Hotel since it was the former Zuien, and it has now been rebuilt into a luxurious Hotel; the mural that used to be displayed at the old Zuien has also been preserved behind the front desk. The temperature control of the in-room open-air bath was excellent, and the large public bath was spacious and never crowded, so we could use it comfortably. Considering the Accommodation Fee, we were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast; however, as others have mentioned, the main beef dish was quite fatty and heavy, so I would appreciate any improvements you can make. Since Hamano Hotel Group Accommodations can be chosen to suit different travel purposes, we will use them again. Thank you for accommodating my husband’s food allergies despite our last-minute Reservation.

We are also truly grateful for your continued patronage over many years, dating back to the days of the former Zuien. We were delighted to read that you enjoyed a relaxing stay, including the mural remaining in the lobby, the in-room Onsen view bath overlooking the valley, and time at our large public bath. We would be pleased if you were able to unwind in our spacious open-air bath while listening to the river and taking in Jozankei’s rich natural surroundings. We are also glad that our dining service—especially our allergy accommodations—was helpful. At the same time, thank you very much for sharing your valuable feedback regarding the beef served as the main dish. We use only ribeye from “Tokachi Herb Beef.” As you noted, ribeye is a cut that includes marbling. When prepared as roast beef, this marbling brings out a balanced harmony of flavors with the lean meat—this is a key feature of our signature roast beef. We apologize that our explanation was insufficient and that we did not fully convey how this marbling contributes to its flavor. We will take your comments into consideration moving forward.
