    Second visit

    I previously visited with my family, and this time I went with my husband. We ordered dessert through in-room dining. Although we said it was okay to bring it right away, we waited 40 minutes, and it only arrived 10 minutes after we contacted them. The taste was also mediocre. Even though we had set a time for breakfast, it took about 40 minutes for the next dish to arrive after the first meal. This was also mediocre, and we couldn't eat much. It seemed that other guests were also saying the service was slow, and it was mentioned that they couldn't keep up because the hotel was fully booked. It was clear that they were understaffed. I was looking forward to this trip, but I don't think there will be a next time. It's disappointing.

    Impressive Hospitality

    We stayed at a villa for a multiple night stay with our family at the end of the year. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every aspect, from meals to facilities, equipment, and customer service. The hospitality of the staff was particularly impressive, making us feel comfortable every time we interacted with them. Among them, the sommelier's customer service skills and communication abilities, backed by extensive knowledge and experience, were remarkable. They always had a comprehensive view, coordinating with the chef and patissier to respond flexibly while anticipating our needs and fulfilling them at the right time and in the right way. They also answered trivial questions with humor and care. It was impressive to see them discreetly giving appropriate instructions to less experienced hall staff. This is what professionalism feels like. Speaking of professionalism, I was also impressed by the work of the housekeeper. We requested turndown service, and the room was kept beautifully, with the bathroom floor wiped and dried, giving us the feeling of checking in every time we returned. In large hotels, it is common to pass by cleaning staff even if the room rate is high, and we are used to seeing them cleaning the rooms next door or across the hall at checkout. It made me wonder, "Where are they usually, and when do they clean this much space?" As for the meals and room, there was nothing to complain about, as the hotel is designed for that purpose. We had the best and most extraordinary experience. The only downside was that after soaking in the onsen, my wife and I had dry palms. The shower water felt slippery, so it was likely soft water, but perhaps the spring quality didn't suit our skin. This can't be helped. Regarding the onsen, we had already enjoyed the strong acidity in Kusatsu the day before coming here, so we were satisfied. Such an auberge is not priced for a family like ours to stay casually during the high season, but the experience was so moving that we are still savoring the afterglow even after returning home. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay.

    Very nice

    The year-end trip with the family after a long time was rejuvenating, and we were able to enjoy a very luxurious feeling. The Room was lovely, and all the dishes were beautiful and delicious. I especially thought the breakfast was the best. If I were to make one request for the future, it would be to have a half-course option for the French wine pairing. I gave up because I thought I couldn't drink 7 glasses. All the staff were pleasant. The amenities are rated 4 because there was a broken item (pepper mill) and one of the pajamas had a stain.

    A property that strengthens family bonds

    The other day, we had the pleasure of staying with a French dinner and breakfast included. The room was spacious and clean, and with a balcony, we were able to fully enjoy the view. The room bath was also spacious, warm, and comfortable, and by opening the door, it quickly transformed into an open-air bath. Each dish was carefully prepared, using local ingredients, and it seemed even more delicious than the Hiramatsu restaurants in Tokyo. The service here was also excellent. There were many features to delight guests, such as a music room and a campfire. It was such a wonderful property that it enlivened our family conversations and strengthened our bonds even more. We are truly grateful. We would like to visit again next time. Thank you very much.

    It was wonderful.

    It was my first stay at HIRAMATSU, and although I was a bit nervous, I had a wonderful time. Despite the very cold weather, several staff members were waiting outside, which made me feel the hospitality of this wonderful property. I used it for a birthday celebration, and it became a special day to remember. The meals were very delicious, and I definitely want to visit again. Just one suggestion: there were only amenities for women, so even for a couple's stay, it would be nice to have skincare products for men as well. I really enjoyed the bath. I want to conquer the HIRAMATSU group. That's how much I loved it! Thank you for the wonderful service. The baked sweets in the room were also very delicious.

    Hiramatsu is the best

    I stayed for my wife's birthday. The staff provided various warm services, and my wife was pleased. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious, and the butter, which was explained to be made from Jersey cows, was particularly tasty and memorable. The room was a relaxing space where we could enjoy an extraordinary experience. I appreciated the ample supply of water and towels. The financiers in the room were delicious, so I would be happy if they were available for purchase. This was my second time at Hiramatsu, and as expected, it did not disappoint. It was a hotel I would like to use again. It was a very good trip. Thank you to all the staff.

    Seeking relaxation

    I have stayed at the property three times during the autumn foliage season, and once again, I had a wonderful time. The view from the room is great, allowing me to relax away from my phone, and roasting marshmallows by the fire is also enjoyable. The bath is spacious, and you can spend a leisurely time while gazing outside, making you want to take a bath multiple times. The French cuisine with matsutake mushrooms and white truffles was so delicious and enjoyable that I wondered if it was okay to indulge in such luxury. I love the apple whip at breakfast, and it has become something I look forward to every time. All the staff members are kind and courteous, making my stay enjoyable throughout. I will visit again.     I was very satisfied.

    Since it was a trip with my parents, we stayed in a villa with two separate bedrooms, and with sinks and showers on both sides of the bedrooms, we had a very comfortable stay. We visited during the autumn leaves season, and the room and service were so wonderful that I would like to visit again in the summer. As we were traveling with children, we received various support such as bed guards and warming up baby food. Thank you very much.

    For some reason, it took more than 40 minutes to check out, and even though I asked the staff several times, they just told me to wait. It was very difficult because I had children with me. I think we were probably forgotten, and the staff I asked several times seemed to be answering without understanding the situation. Other than that, many of the staff were kind and the Room was lovely.

    Satisfied with meals, location, and service.

    Following last November, we stayed again this November during the autumn foliage season. The French dinner is one of the pleasures of visiting. The dishes are not only delicious but also visually beautiful. Additionally, the staff's detailed explanations and presentations make the meal enjoyable. Watching the restaurant staff walk with their backs straight was pleasant. Each breakfast dish comes with an explanation, and you can enjoy a high-quality breakfast with carefully selected ingredients at the restaurant on the 5th floor with a great view. From the Room on the 4th floor, you can enjoy the autumn foliage on the premises and have a great view of the distant Yatsugatake (Yatsugatake) mountain range, offering a very good location. We skipped the marshmallow roasting at the "Bonfire Lounge" in the evening because my companion felt cold (a bit disappointing). The staff's attentiveness is also appreciated. Moreover, the turndown service during dinner was, as before, very good. Although I did not meet the person in charge, thank you very much.

    It was a hotel I had...

    It was a hotel I had long admired. I was able to stay this time and had a very good time. Located high away from the residential area, I could enjoy a relaxing bath without worrying about the surrounding noise or prying eyes, and the view was fantastic. Dinner was, of course, excellent, but I especially appreciated the handmade jams and local bread served at breakfast, each with a special touch, and they were very delicious. This time, I was able to stay during the autumn foliage season and enjoyed the colorful trees. I would like to visit in another season next time.

    Mountains, Moon, and Stars.

    For the past six years, I have visited Karuizawa during this season. This time of year, I always pass through Raiden Kurumi no Sato to get walnuts. I was thrilled to finally stay at this accommodation and enjoyed a blissful time feeling the calmness and beauty of autumn. Even before my stay, the hotel staff contacted me and kindly accommodated my requests. On the day of arrival, all the staff members were so warm and hospitable, which made me very happy. The view from our room was stunning with clear weather allowing us to see the peaks of the Northern Alps beautifully; we could even enjoy this view from the onsen, which was truly moving. It’s a hotel where you can take your time and relax at your own pace. The art throughout the property as well as in our room was lovely, making me want to try staying in other rooms next time too. I rated 4 stars for the guestroom because I found it hard to settle into one of the leather chairs in our room—it felt slippery (perhaps because I'm not used to such seating).

    I stayed with two ch...

    I stayed with two children and two grandmothers in a villa with a terrace, and I must say it was the best among all the properties I have stayed at so far. Everything was so wonderful that it was a shame to leave after just one night. The room's interior and space provided a comfortable sense of escape from the ordinary, the service was meticulous and reliable, and the meals were full of surprises and delight. I was worried about causing inconvenience with the children, but we were touched by the friendly gestures such as providing a private room, marshmallow roasting and wood-splitting experiences by the campfire, and gifts of bath toys and snacks. My parents were also very pleased, and we would love to visit again.

    I was able to relax very much.

    HIRAMATSU is now in various locations. It was my first visit. The food was delicious, the service from the Hotel staff was excellent, and the Room was comfortable. Although it was just a one-night stay, it was a very enjoyable experience.     It was a satisfying Hotel.

    The room was spacious, and since it was located on a slope, the view from the balcony was open and relaxing without feeling the cold. I enjoyed hot wine at the bonfire space outside the property where I stayed. The whole hotel had a relaxed atmosphere. The meal progressed at a leisurely pace, with five appetizers served before the main course, all of which were delicious and incorporated a sense of the season. There was also a wide variety of drinks. The price is somewhat high, but if I can experience this sense of relaxation, I would like to come again.

    It had been a while since we visited Karuizawa due to both my wife and I being hospitalized. Although it's a distance that allows for a light day trip from home, we visited places like the outlet, Old Karuizawa, Harunire Terrace, and Hoshino. We decided to stay again to enjoy a quiet moment and a wonderful bath. Thank you very much. We would love to stay at HIRAMATSU again next time, so we look forward to your hospitality.

However, the cuisine, which should be the highlight of Hiramatsu, was disappointing for the whole family as the quantity and content were far from matching the price. When I asked an acquaintance who had used the service, they had exactly the same comment.

    Everything except the meals was wonderful.

    The hardware was comparable to foreign hotels, and the software was characterized by the hospitality typical of domestic hotels, making it a wonderful hotel. The person in charge of check-in was probably a newcomer, and there were many communication errors that led to troubles, but it was good that other staff members properly covered for them. When I stayed at HIRAMATSU in Kyoto, the food was excellent, so I was looking forward to it, but honestly, it was disappointing. I chose French cuisine for dinner, but they were too particular about using local ingredients, and it didn't fully elevate to French cuisine, resulting in dishes that felt like creative Japanese cuisine. As a result of focusing on Japanese ingredients, the flavors lacked cohesion, and as a course, it was unclear what they were trying to achieve. My companion remarked, "Each ingredient is strong," giving the impression that the strength of the ingredients was not well integrated. For each dish, there were instructions like "Please enjoy this with chopsticks," but the ingredients were not the right size for that eating method (being told to eat with a spoon, but the fish was too large to scoop with a spoon), making it a puzzling menu that made me wonder if it was really designed from the customer's perspective. From about the third appetizer, I lost interest in the food, and the rest was just a painful time. The butter was described as rich like cheese, but if it were the main dish like breakfast bread, it might be fine, but as an accompaniment to the course, I found the cheese-like strong flavor overwhelming and couldn't eat much of the bread. Honestly, it's disappointing that this level of French cuisine is the main dining at Hiramatsu's hotel. Hotel restaurants are different from standalone restaurant customers, so I think they should serve what the customers want to eat, not what the provider wants to serve. I understand that vegetables are a selling point for breakfast, but many people might find it difficult to eat a large amount of raw vegetables in the morning. People at surrounding tables were also leaving food or requesting smaller portions. When staying at HIRAMATSU, I look forward to the meals, so I would be happy if they could raise the level a bit more.

    Room, service, and food were all satisfactory. Consideration for children was thorough, and we were asked about baby food without having to consult from our side. If I had to say, it was a bit noisy with the cutlery being organized during breakfast. Since we came to experience something extraordinary, I would have appreciated some consideration there. Next time, I would like to revisit with my dog.

    The view from the room's sofa was amazing! There were snacks and drinks in the room, and I was able to enjoy the view while having them. I could use the hot spring bath in the room anytime, and I took a bath many times! I used the turndown service, and I was grateful that the towels were replaced and the water was replenished. Thank you for the jam as well. For dinner, they asked about ingredients I didn't like in advance, and on the day of check-in, they confirmed again and changed the ingredients, which was helpful. The meal was very delicious. I was happy that the person in charge during breakfast talked about various things. I look forward to visiting again.

    A rich time that makes you want to visit again

    This is my second stay. Unlike in winter, the room bath with the lush green scenery provided an indescribable sense of escape from the ordinary. Both dinner and breakfast used local ingredients, conveying a strong commitment to local production for local consumption.
