    The Onsen was great, but...

I can’t believe I could enjoy Noboribetsu Onsen in Sapporo! It was so crowded that I couldn’t really relax, though. There’s a noticeable difference in service levels among the front desk staff. A smile comes first! Breakfast was very well prepared and delicious.

We stayed here for a family trip.

My parents (77 and 76) and my sister (54) came from Niigata, and our couple (51 and 49) with our child (10)—six of us in total—stayed for 3 nights/4 days, booking two triple Rooms. (Stay: Tue, July 21, 2026 – Fri, July 24, 2026) Since it was our first time in Hokkaido and we wanted to go out to various places for dinner, we chose the plan with breakfast only each day. Because we stayed three nights, you prepared a different special menu every morning, and we were truly touched by your thoughtfulness. Everything was delicious (including robatayaki grilled king crab in the morning), and our whole family was extremely satisfied. Even my parents—who usually don’t eat much breakfast—praised it highly and even had three extra bowls of rice! The property was very clean as well, and for this price the overall quality—including the food—was outstanding. If we have a chance to come to Hokkaido again, we would definitely like to stay here again. (I’d love to recommend it to friends too!) Thank you for giving us such wonderful travel memories.

    High-Floor Double | 20 m² | Non-Smoking (Double)

I arrived by car around 4:00 PM and stayed overnight. Perhaps because many guests were checking in, there was no staff at the mechanical parking area and I had to wait quite a while. I also had a lot of luggage, but there were no luggage carts in the parking area and no staff available to assist. I spoke to the front desk staff, had them bring out a trolley from the storage room, and carried everything to my Room myself. If you are driving with a lot of luggage, it may be difficult in terms of both effort and layout. The Room is 20 m², so I expected it to be small, but there is very little closet space—enough only to hang coats in winter; since it was summer, I could at least hang clothes that might wrinkle. However, because the sink is adjacent to the hanging area, some guests may be concerned about moisture. I could place my suitcase in front of the sofa, but then I couldn’t sit on it during my stay. Since my Room only had a shower booth, I used the large public bath on the 2nd floor. About 10 people were using it at once and our paths overlapped frequently, so I felt I needed to be very considerate. If you want to relax quietly, I recommend checking crowd levels in advance. I tried going late at night (around 1:00 AM) to avoid crowds, but it was still busy. The Facility is thoughtfully designed down to small details; however, each area felt cramped and I couldn’t fully relax. This is just my personal impression, but this Room seems best for single occupancy; for two people, I recommend choosing a larger Room.

    I love summer.

High satisfaction overall, except for one point.

I always stay here when I visit Sapporo. The Room is clean, and all the staff are very pleasant, so overall I am highly satisfied. However, this time I had an extremely unpleasant experience during a pre-stay inquiry. I was told that my request regarding the futon in the Room could not be accommodated due to policy, which I understand, but the way it was explained by a male manager over the phone was far too mechanical, cold, and rigid—I did not feel any consideration for guests at all. Is that really acceptable in the service industry? The female staff member I spoke with afterward was very kind, but the poor attitude and discomfort caused by that male staff member lingered for quite some time. Aside from that point, I am very satisfied and would like to stay here again.

    Recommended Onsen Accommodations in Sapporo

When looking for an Accommodation in Sapporo with a natural Onsen, I found this place by its name and made a Reservation right away! I chose a maisonette-style Room with the bedroom on the second floor. The Japanese-modern atmosphere was calming, and the property felt exceptionally clean. Even though it’s in the city center, being able to soak in a natural Onsen was amazing, and the stylish open-air bath melted away all my travel fatigue. Breakfast was a Japanese set course featuring Hokkaido ingredients, with plenty of variety—especially the hitsumabushi, which was outstanding. You finish it by pouring dashi over it, which feels wonderfully indulgent even in the morning. It’s also easy to access from Sapporo Station and the Odori area, making sightseeing very convenient. The service was polite and attentive, and it’s a perfect Hotel for anyone who wants to relax quietly at their own pace. A place I’d definitely like to stay at again!

    Onsen in Sapporo

It had been a while since I’d had a relaxing stay in Sapporo, and I really liked the Japanese-style atmosphere. The Onsen was also great. It felt very Hokkaido-like for Sapporo, which was wonderful. I was happy with the wide selection of welcome drinks.

The first day of our trip to Hokkaido was a great start.

The in-Room snacks were delicious, and there was a wide selection of welcome drinks, including Hokkaido specialties, which we really enjoyed. The baths can get crowded depending on the time, but we also had moments when we could have the sauna all to ourselves, which was great. It happened to be our 1st wedding anniversary that day, and there was a flower box in our Room in a beautiful blue color—it truly moved us. This time we chose No Meals Included because we had plans early the next morning, but when we went into the dining area to get the welcome drinks, it looked beautifully designed. If we visit Hokkaido again, I’d love to try the meals as well. We arrived by car. The parking fee is 2,000 yen even though it’s an overnight guest-only lot (P), which was a bit disappointing. However, you can enter and exit freely during your stay, which is appreciated; still, after check-in time it seemed like both exiting and entering could take some time. If you’re in a hurry, I recommend leaving early. I had checked the size (sqm) and photos beforehand so I wasn’t disappointed with the Accommodation itself, but it did feel somewhat cramped in terms of layout. That said, the location is excellent and very convenient—being right in the city center while still offering Ryokan-like relaxation and calm feels like getting the best of both worlds.

    Recommended for younger guests.

Late April Couple in our 20s Garden Suite 2 nights / 3 days Many younger travelers have probably seen this place on Instagram or Lemon8 and been curious. We were the same and decided to stay. After actually staying, it exceeded our expectations, and we think you can have a truly satisfying experience at this price point. ○Room The Garden Suite has a U-shaped layout with an open-air bath in the center. The Room size was just right for two people, and everything was very clean. We also appreciated having a humidifier. There’s a large north-facing window that makes the space feel very open. From around April to August, we think you can also enjoy beautiful sunsets. You can’t change the open-air bath temperature from inside the Room, but if you contact the front desk they will adjust it for you. The hair dryer is Dyson. On the other hand, the entryway area is a bit compact. If you’re bringing large suitcases, it may feel slightly inconvenient—especially for men carrying luggage. ○Breakfast We recommend choosing a Plan with breakfast included. We had robatayaki at the restaurant on the first floor. The menu likely changes by season, but every dish was excellent and made for a luxurious morning. We had a Multiple Night Stay, and on the second morning they changed up the rice dish for us—we really felt their thoughtful attention to detail. You can also take coffee back to your Room; it’s served quite hot but was very tasty. Note that seating is somewhat close together, so it’s best not to bring large bags. Also, robatayaki aromas may cling to your clothes, so we recommend going in loungewear provided by the Accommodation. ○Inside the Accommodation The interior is very stylish—it’s easy to see why it’s popular on social media. The staff were polite and professional as well; we felt their high level of hospitality. There are laundry rooms on both the 2nd and 9th floors, and irons are available too—very convenient for guests staying multiple nights. ○Access This is probably the only downside. It’s a bit of a walk from Sapporo Station. Taking a taxi helps, but there isn’t a dedicated drop-off area, so it could be inconvenient when snow is deep. It’s also slightly far from Susukino (the main downtown area). Even so, we still found it absolutely worth staying here despite those points. When we visit Sapporo again, we’d definitely like to stay here again.

Thank you for your hospitality. I’d like to share a few points I noticed. - Too few hangers: only 4 for two people. Since 2 are used for yukata, that leaves just 1 per person. - The toilet is located in the earthen-floor area, so we had to put on sandals each time, which was inconvenient. It was dark at night and felt unsafe underfoot. - Both types of welcome drinks were lukewarm. - The women’s large public bath had too few washing stations and was extremely crowded. - The sofa and table are too far apart, making them difficult to use (not very relaxing). - No safety deposit box. - The wooden room key feels like it might break, which made us worry about handling it. - Tea may be your specialty, but we would also like coffee to be provided.

We were very satisfied with the breakfast.

Although it was a last-minute Reservation the day before, I had a very satisfying stay. Breakfast in particular exceeded my expectations and felt like excellent value for the price. I had dinner plans at a sushi restaurant in town, so I did not eat dinner at the Hotel, but breakfast was so good that it made me want to try dinner as well. There were a few issues in the guest room. The refrigerator itself was warm, and the inside of the cabinet where it is stored felt quite stuffy. I am not sure whether this was due to a clogged filter or simply how it is designed. I also noticed a slight unpleasant odor in the shower and toilet area. The front desk, entrance, and corridors had a refreshing design that clearly set them apart from an ordinary Business Hotel. The use of Sapporo soft stone also created a nice atmosphere. I would be happy to stay again if I have another opportunity.

We stayed for two nights. The Room was very clean, and since we have children, we appreciated being able to take off our shoes before entering. It was also great that there were yukata for kids and amenities. The staff were very pleasant and made our stay comfortable. The bath was nice, but the door to the women’s bath was broken, letting cold air in, so it was very cold. It was disappointing that there was no notice in advance, including at check-in. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Sapporo.

This was my first time staying here. Checking in after dinner was a pleasant experience thanks to the staff’s courteous and attentive service. I used the bath a little after 7:00 p.m., and it seemed to be a quiet time, so I was able to relax and fully enjoy the wonderful hot spring—very satisfying. The water felt soft, and the open-air bath was especially nice with the refreshing outdoor air. Breakfast the next morning was delicious across the board. In particular, the soy-based steamed egg custard topped with a flavorful dashi sauce had great taste, and the sashimi was very fresh. The Atka mackerel hitsumabushi was excellent on its own, and when I poured dashi over it, it became so tasty I could have kept eating forever. I’m sure this will remain an unforgettable part of my Hokkaido trip for years to come.

I’d love to stay here again.

As we were traveling with a toddler, it was very helpful to have a Room where we could take off our shoes and relax. The staff were very attentive, including their consideration for our child, which made our stay comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the portion size was just right—highly recommended. We could also check how busy the Onsen and dining areas were online, and since it’s in a quiet location, it was nice that it stayed peaceful outside at night as well. We would love to stay again.

The parking is described as first-come, first-served from 15:00, but even guests are required to pay 2,000 yen, which felt unclear. The curtains had noticeable yellowing and did not feel clean. Overall, the service level for this price range was quite disappointing.

It was very clean and comfortable!

It was a Ryokan with a wonderful atmosphere and very clean throughout. The breakfast was also very lavish and delicious! The staff’s service was polite and excellent. The only disappointing point was that the Room air conditioner made the air dry, so we used the humidifier, but we noticed some dirt inside it. Everything else was very clean, so we would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.

The atmosphere was a stylish blend of Japanese and Western styles, catering to international guests. The Onsen might not meet expectations as there was a noticeable chlorine smell. Breakfast was delicious, but sitting at the counter-facing seats felt less relaxing due to the staff working busily right in front.

    Visited after a long time.

Stayed in the suite for the first time in two years. Noticed various improvements, such as amenities and informational booklets that were not available two years ago, showing great efforts to enhance service quality. The impression can vary significantly depending on the Room Plan, so it’s recommended to carefully review before deciding. Conveniently located midway between Sapporo Station and Susukino, making it easy to get around. Great value for money as well. Looking forward to visiting again!

    HOSHINOYA Fuji

Stayed in a Corner Twin Room. The vibe is reminiscent of "Hoshino Resorts" (modern and stylish). I chose this accommodation because I dislike unit baths and wanted a room with separate toilet and washbasin. As it follows a traditional Ryokan style, there are no slippers, which is fine, but since you walk barefoot, I found it unpleasant to see water (or urine?) stains on the toilet floor near the bowl under certain lighting conditions. Also, having only hangers without any space to place luggage was inconvenient. I opted for breakfast included, and it was packed with Hokkaido's local ingredients—absolutely delicious!

The breakfast was delicious, and the sauna was excellent!

During my Multiple Night Stay, I found the breakfast here to be the most delicious. The Hotel staff always greeted me with a smile, making it a very comfortable place to stay. Additionally, the entrance, lobby, elevator area, and guest rooms were adorned with Japanese-style interiors that allowed for a relaxing experience. The large public bath had a key exclusively for women, which made it safe and enjoyable to use the sauna. I was also thoroughly satisfied with my first-ever experience of cold baths and waterfall showers. Thank you very much!

    Excellent hospitality

I stayed at the accommodation upon my daughter's recommendation. The hotel was overall very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. The onsen was also excellent. However, the bathroom space in the guest room was a bit inconvenient to use. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful, providing information about izakayas, sightseeing spots, and routes around town.

    Excellent service.

It was a very nice accommodation with excellent hot springs. I would have been happier if slightly larger rooms were available. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and highly satisfying! All the staff provided polite and attentive service, which I thought was wonderful. However, one disappointing point was the lack of slippers in the toilet, which felt uncomfortable.

Thank you for the pleasant time!

I visited Hokkaido at my daughter's invitation and had a wonderful time staying at Yuen, a place I had always wanted to experience. I was especially impressed by the luxurious breakfast, which was plentiful and so delicious that I couldn't help but eat more than usual. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making my stay very comfortable. I am truly grateful for the warm hospitality.

    A very comfortable Hotel.

This was my third stay, and as always, the front desk staff were young, energetic, polite, and very kind. They provided thoughtful advice on sightseeing and transportation during my stay in Sapporo, making my trip enjoyable. We stayed in a room for three people, and the Onsen bathhouse was spacious enough for everyone to enjoy together. The complimentary post-bath ice cream was a nice touch, making the experience even more comfortable. However, the women's washing area and dressing room have limited mirrors and hairdryer stations, which can cause congestion during busy times. As for the room wear, it would be even better if the staff could ask for the preferred size in advance and offer samue instead of yukata.

    A charming urban Onsen Ryokan

I saw it on Instagram and had always wanted to stay here when visiting Sapporo. The staff at the parking lot, the pleasant scent upon entering, the atmosphere at the front desk, and their service were all very welcoming and comforting. However, the smell in the room bothered me a bit when we entered. Since we stayed as a group of three, the sofa by the window was converted into a bed, making the room feel like a sleeping area with no space to relax. We had to take turns unpacking our luggage near the entrance due to limited space. For three guests, a slightly larger room would have been preferable. The welcome drinks were excellent and allowed us to enjoy a relaxing time. Regarding the onsen, it was extremely crowded around 10 PM when we went. The lockers were full, and while we managed to get in, the washroom area was also packed, leaving no chance to dry our hair. We tried again in the morning, but the outdoor bath faced a busy road with heavy traffic noise. It was disappointing not to be able to relax at an onsen ryokan as expected. Additionally, there were no hangers in the room for drying wet towels. The lighting, interior design, and staff created a wonderful atmosphere overall; however, it felt like some small but important details were overlooked. Still, I would love to stay here again when I visit Sapporo next time. Thank you very much!

    The breakfast is delicious.

The guest rooms, onsen, and service were average, but the frequent chatting among the female front desk staff was a bit distracting. One of the front desk staff had flashy nail art, which didn’t quite match the traditional attire, but it gave me the impression that the management is young and open-minded. The accommodation has great accessibility, and I’m glad I got to stay at a place I’ve always wanted to try. The breakfast exclusive to guests was exceptionally delicious! The drink service in the lounge was also of high quality.

The large public bath, breakfast (the menu was changed on the second day since we stayed for two days), and the hotel's facilities and interior were excellent. It was such a great Hotel that my boyfriend and I said we'd love to stay here again if we visit this area. We visited during a busy season when rooms filled up quickly, so next time, we plan to make an early Reservation to secure a room with a better view.

    The meals were excellent!

Without meals, I feel the Facility and bath are worse than a Business Hotel. The amenities were almost nonexistent—only the bare minimum. This may be because there are many inbound guests. Even though the bath is a small public bath rather than a large one, it’s unacceptable that the Room has only a shower. Since my family lives nearby, my impression is that meals alone would be enough.

    I was very satisfied!

The room, meals, and onsen were all absolutely wonderful. I was especially moved by the hospitality of the staff. I never imagined there would be such a lovely onsen accommodation within walking distance of Sapporo Station. I definitely want to visit again!
