This is my second stay, and it was a great experience.

It was a stay beyond expectations.

The parking staff and reception were very courteous at check-in, making the stay pleasant from the moment of arrival. The lobby and Room were clean and very comfortable. I used the breakfast-included Plan, and the food exceeded expectations. The presentation and arrangement were elegant, leaving me very satisfied. The large public bath was also enjoyable, and I appreciated the availability of a ReFa hair dryer. Although it was often crowded, the overall satisfaction of the stay outweighed this minor inconvenience. One small issue was the lack of a platform or foldable luggage rack in the Room for organizing belongings, which made it slightly inconvenient for my elderly mother to sort her luggage without bending over. Adding such a Facility in the future would make stays even more comfortable. I would love to stay here again!

    Completely satisfied.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. There was a wonderful surprise waiting in the room! A handwritten message was included, which truly warmed our hearts. We have previously stayed at Shinjuku and Bettei Daita in Tokyo, but Sapporo was also amazing. The hospitality was exceptional. We hope to stay here again someday. Thank you very much!

    Great!

I stayed with my wife. The meals and the facility were great. I would like to use it again when visiting Sapporo.

    Overall compact

The Facility itself is new and lovely, but overall it feels a bit cramped. Unfortunately, I couldn't spend time in a relaxed manner because of this. My daughter, who slept in the loft, mentioned that the footsteps and voices from above were noisy, making it hard for her to sleep. Since the ceiling is high, it seems natural that the upper floor and loft are closer, but I felt it might lack soundproofing. I slept downstairs instead of in the loft and found it quite comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Overall, I think it would have been better if the Room had a bit more space.

It was a wonderful trip to Sapporo.

The staff's hospitality, room service, cuisine, Onsen, hotel design and ambiance, cleanliness, and pricing were all exceptional, making it the best stay in Sapporo! It's a perfect way to experience Japanese culture and highly recommended for international guests. I would love to have that original shampoo from Yuen!

    I had a great stay!

Stayed for 2 nights. It was a bit of a walk from the station, but the Facility was lovely. The staff were very friendly and efficient, showing kindness to both Japanese and international guests. I enjoyed the burdock snacks provided in the Room so much that I ended up purchasing some! The women's bath was often crowded, and on the first day, there was a wait for washing stations. But that's understandable. The provided sandals felt either too big or heavy, making walking feel like training—but it became part of the memories! When opting out of cleaning service, replacement towels were left on the doorknob on the second day along with complimentary soap, which made me happy. I would love to stay here again when visiting Hokkaido!

    Would love to visit again.

The onsen was automated to manage crowding, allowing for a pleasant bathing experience. As mentioned in other reviews, the room door is heavy, and it’s unfortunate that there’s no space for storage or placing suitcases. While it might be structurally challenging, sliding doors could enhance the onsen atmosphere. Other than that, everything was truly satisfying.

A bath that makes you forget you're in the heart of the city, and a compact Room.

Access is not very convenient. 15-minute walk from Sapporo Station, 10-minute walk from Sapporo Subway Station, and 10-minute walk from Nishi 8-chome Streetcar Station. The bath is excellent. It seems to use water brought from Noboribetsu Onsen, and there is a lovely open-air bath that makes you forget you're in the city center. It could be a bit more spacious, but it’s sufficient as it is. The room is stylish but minimalistic. There’s no desk, only a small movable table, so it's minimal for working or having breakfast for two in the room—it feels cramped. Considering the price, it’s very reasonable. In conclusion: worth repeating!

I stayed alone to visit a friend. It was a very calm and lovely accommodation that made me forget I was in the middle of the city. Odori Park, JR Tower Building, and other spots were within a pleasant walking distance during good weather. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.

Not bad, but not great either.

I stayed for one night with no meals included, so this review excludes dining. This is an accommodation with a modern Japanese ryokan-style design. The room was very stylish and elegantly decorated. The hospitality had clear strengths and weaknesses. For the price, I would have preferred to visit the public bath without needing to bring my own towel. There is a small entryway in the room where you remove your shoes, but you need to pass through it to access the toilet and shower booth. While there were traditional sandals provided, they were inconvenient when wearing socks; dedicated indoor slippers for the room would have been better. The bath was quite compact and seemed too small considering the number of rooms available. Just a few families with children made the changing area feel overcrowded, which seemed like a design flaw. I stayed in a double room this time, but unfortunately, I found the mattress too thin and uncomfortable for my body, and there weren’t enough pillows either—this was my biggest disappointment as I couldn’t sleep well because of it. Nothing beats a bed with high-quality mattresses; this experience taught me that lesson well! While the atmosphere was excellent overall, I felt that its quality didn’t match its price point fully.

    Unprofessional staff service

The price was for one night per room, but an additional 5,000 yen was charged when I invited one more person. It felt like harassment by the male staff who handled it. The price would have been the same if I had registered for two people from the beginning. There was no reasonable explanation. This will be my last stay at this accommodation; I won't return again.

The Hotel I Always Wanted to Stay At

The staff were cheerful and friendly, which was great. I stayed here to enjoy an Onsen-like experience in Sapporo. Based on reviews, I brought my own toilet slippers as they were not provided. A shower cap would also be nice for using the rain shower or waterfall bath. For meals, I tried both à la carte and the course menu during my 2-night stay, and I recommend the course menu as it offers more quantity. I would love to visit again!

Great service, pleasant atmosphere. However, the air quality in the guest room is poor.

I stayed for two nights during my trip to Hokkaido. Having used Yuen in Tokyo before, I chose this accommodation again for its excellent service, hospitality, and atmosphere. While I was generally very satisfied, the room's air conditioning seemed non-functional or there might have been an issue with the building's ventilation system. The room was extremely dry and the air felt stagnant. My wife, child, and I all experienced sore throats as a result. I hope these issues will be addressed to make it an even better hotel in the future.

    First-time use.

We stayed for one night and were very excited as it was an Onsen Ryokan. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was large, and we slept soundly. The breakfast the next morning was delicious; even though my spouse and I are not morning people, we finished everything! It was truly delightful. However, there were a few downsides: there weren’t enough towels in the room, so having one more would have been helpful. Also, the mirror in the bathroom was set too far back to use comfortably for makeup application. Usually, small mirrors are provided in such cases within the room itself, but none were available here... which made it slightly inconvenient. Although the Onsen felt smaller than expected for an Onsen Ryokan, both the room and meals were excellent. We would love to stay again when visiting Hokkaido!

    Staff Response

There is some inconsistency in service quality. Some staff are very attentive, while others are not. The location might be slightly inconvenient. Inbound guests can be noisy at times.

    Near the Prefectural Office

I had a very comfortable stay! Although it's located in the center of Sapporo, it was in a very quiet area, which was great. The bath was very clean and open until late at night, and I even enjoyed the sauna. It perfectly matched the idea of a little luxury! Thank you so much!!

    The interior design ...

The interior design and decor were very tasteful, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The staff provided excellent service and were very pleasant. However, since it was a fully booked day, the public bath was crowded throughout the night. Every time I checked, there were people waiting in line at the dressing area, so I gave up using it that evening. I managed to enter right after it opened the next morning, but by the time I finished bathing, it was crowded again. On busy days like this, perhaps keeping the bath open all night or other operational adjustments could be considered. The outdoor bath had wonderful water quality and kept me warm even after a short soak. As for the room's toilet, based on other reviews mentioning that you need to change into outdoor shoes to use it, I brought disposable slippers with me and found them very useful—having such amenities available would be even better. Aside from the crowded bath issue, my stay at this hotel was highly satisfying overall. If improvements are made in this regard, I would love to stay here again!

    A satisfying Hotel!

The review mentioned that the room was small, and indeed it was, but it wasn't an issue when relaxing on the bed. After going to sleep, walking to the restroom in slippers was a bit challenging as the room was dark. Additionally, there were large cracks in the concrete floor of the restroom, which made me wonder about its earthquake resistance. During winter, due to dryness, I felt thirsty at night and went to get water from the fridge; however, having stairs there felt unsafe. I visited the bath around 9:30-10:00 PM and found it not crowded at all. I could relax in the hot water comfortably; however, some guests left the door to the open-air bath wide open, letting cold air inside while I was washing up—it became quite chilly because of this lack of manners. Perhaps this is due to many inbound tourists? I stayed for two nights and enjoyed breakfast both days—grilled Atka mackerel rice bowl on day one and salmon roe rice bowl on day two—thoughtfully prepared so as not to feel repetitive or boring. It added enjoyment to my stay! The staff's hospitality stood out with their warm service that naturally brought smiles during interactions. Overall, I found this hotel satisfying and would love to visit again!

    Perfect for solo travelers

This was my second stay. I returned because I enjoyed the efficiently sized room for solo travelers, the variety of breakfast options, and the Onsen with a sauna. However, there were a few concerns during this visit: - At the breakfast venue: A female staff member appeared to have long artificial nails. When serving hitsumabushi, her nail touched the inside of an empty bowl, which I found unpleasant. Attention to personal grooming from a hygiene perspective would be appreciated. - Regarding the public bath: There were many non-Japanese guests using the facility, and some entered without rinsing themselves or brought toothbrushes into the bath area. While I noticed warning signs on the walls of the changing room, they seemed difficult to notice. It might be helpful to reconsider their placement or presentation. - About amenities: Skincare products are provided at sinks in the public bath area; however, during busy times there can be a wait to use them. While guests can bring their own items if needed, having these amenities available in guest rooms would enhance convenience. These are merely suggestions from one user and not demands for improvement. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay as I could refresh myself with delicious meals and a pleasant Onsen experience. The room was clean and well-maintained, allowing me to spend my time comfortably.

    Japanese Modern Style in Sapporo

Filled with a modern Japanese atmosphere throughout. The maisonette felt like it could be slightly more spacious, but the cleanliness of the Room and quality of amenities were overall perfect.

It was nice being close to the snow festival venue, but...

It was difficult to pull a suitcase over the snow from Sapporo Station. It was also challenging as there was no nearby elevator from the underground passage to the ground level. The response from the front desk staff was unfriendly depending on the person, and even though I asked because I didn't know about the local area, I was given incorrect information. I struggled, going back and forth on the snowy road with a heavy suitcase, which was so tiring that it caused muscle pain. The Facility was so enviable that even the locals admired it, and the large public bath with Karurusu Onsen was very pleasant. The sauna and semi-open-air bath were also well-equipped and enjoyable. The ice cream after the bath was delicious. The toilet in the Room is located in the entrance area of the Room, so it was a bit troublesome to have to put on footwear each time.

I used it for the first time. It was very good with a new Japanese atmosphere. The Room was clean and there was an open-air bath, which was great. It was cold inside the elevator and it took a little time to come. The staff's response was excellent and perfect.

    An extraordinary and pleasant space

During the snow festival, I stayed for one night on Friday. The room was compact and not exactly luxurious, but somehow both the room and various parts of the Hotel felt very calming. It felt like I was able to spend a wonderful time different from usual. There was beauty in everything, with attention to detail and care. The staff were also pleasant. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with good ingredients in a calm atmosphere. I've stayed at various Hotels in Sapporo, but this was a Hotel I would like to stay at again. My companion felt the same way. Just one thing, the bath's washing area was a bit cold. I would appreciate it if this could be improved.

I felt the taste of an Onsen Ryokan.

Low-floor beds and lattice-style partitions, along with yukata and setta, gave a taste of a traditional Onsen Ryokan, combined with the comfort of a Hotel, making the stay very pleasant. The large public bath was clean and easy to use. One disappointing aspect was the strong smell of chlorine in the Onsen, which was unfortunate as the temperature was perfect, but it made it difficult to enjoy a long soak. However, the luxurious breakfast and the attentive staff made for many pleasant experiences.

    Hotel with delicious breakfast

We stayed for two nights on a family trip to Sapporo. We traveled with a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old, but we were able to stay comfortably. The breakfast was particularly delicious, featuring special dishes unique to Hokkaido. The Room was equipped with children's toothbrushes, a bed guard we requested in advance, and a diaper trash can. When we asked at the front desk, they also lent us children's yukatas, making it a child-friendly Hotel. Perhaps because Japanese-style Hotels are rare, there were many international travelers, and various languages were spoken in the dining area and elevators. From Sapporo Station, you can reach nearby via the underground walkway, which is convenient for families with children in winter. There were also Lawson and FamilyMart nearby, making convenience stores easily accessible. We had a wonderful time. We would love to stay again.

    Surprise

I wanted to spend Christmas in Hokkaido with my husband, so I made a reservation at this hotel that I had been interested in for a while. I was planning a surprise gift for my husband, and I consulted and arranged over the phone, receiving polite, kind, and smooth suggestions that made for a very good surprise. I called several times, and the information was well shared among different staff members, providing consistent responses and a sense of reassurance. Everyone's phone response was consistently excellent. On the day at the hotel, they discreetly confirmed the surprise plan when my husband was not around, which was very considerate and appreciated. The surprise was a great success, and my husband was overjoyed, creating the best memories. Thank you very much. Next time, I would like to stay in a corner room, so when I go to Hokkaido again, I definitely want to visit this hotel.

Stayed for 1 night and 2 days. - Room The room was very clean and relaxing. However, as others have mentioned, it was a bit small, and it was disappointing that I couldn't open my suitcase. Also, I was happy to see a toothbrush for children, but it would be nice if slippers were also provided. It was inconvenient when going to the bath. - Bath The bath was too cramped for the number of hotel guests. I was excited to see the dryer was from ReFa. The onsen itself was clean and felt great. - Meals The meals were hearty and very delicious. I was very satisfied. There were many unique drinks, and I ended up drinking too much of various kinds.

    Only disappointment

① When I requested a surprise, everything was revealed in front of my companion during check-in. ② After going out, when I checked in again, the explanation was all about how crowded the dining and bath times would be. Even when I said I understood, the tall female staff member kept insisting. Why so high-handed? Moreover, the dining area was empty in the morning and evening. ③ Breakfast drinks are self-service. I handed tea to my elderly mother, and while I went to get another drink, the glass was taken away. Why? Why take it away so quickly when she is hard of hearing and had just sat down? ④ The path to the bath's washing area is freezing! It's so cold that it's unclear why it's kept that way. It could cause a heart attack! By the way, the elevators are also cold. ⑤ The room is too small to move around. I spent most of the time on the bed. The sofa bed by the window already had bedding on it, so it couldn't be used as a sofa. The bed by the window is cold from the draft! Yet, there's only one blanket. They lent me a blanket when I asked, but it was needed from the start. There's no space to open a suitcase. The meals were very delicious both in the morning and evening, which was a relief. Especially breakfast was tasty! However, with so many side dishes for white rice, there's no hitsumabushi... At this price, I wish towels were unlimited at the Onsen. If you don't consider it carefully, you might not be satisfied with the Room. However, you might be satisfied with the meals.

    The entire facility was clean.

It was new, clean, and comfortable to stay. Although it is in the center of Sapporo, the Onsen was so relaxing that I almost forgot about it. You can hear the noise of cars through the gaps, but it didn't bother me. I also enjoyed ice cream after the bath. However, it was a bit disappointing that the room was a bit small.
