The renovation backfired.

The service was very good. However, the Room was renovated to install beds in a spacious Japanese-style room, but the height of the beds was awkward, making it difficult for us middle-aged people to get on and off. The plywood blocking the alcove was also... The placement of amenities (phone, memo, etc.) was inconsistent... I thought there were many areas for improvement. The dinner pricing was hard to justify, and the main dish, Yamato beef, was disappointing due to its toughness.

Thank you very much for choosing ANDOHOTEL Nara Wakakusayama. We apologize for the many aspects of your stay that were not comfortable. The beds are designed with mattresses placed on a raised platform, which is continuous, so you cannot sit in the middle like a regular bed. We apologize for any inconvenience caused when stepping onto the platform from the foot of the bed. The phone is placed by the pillow for emergency use, so it can be easily reached while sleeping, and the paper items are prepared separately, away from the phone. Amenities and Room furnishings are placed where we assume they will be comfortable for use, but we realize they may not always be comfortable for everyone. Some items are limited due to wiring and fixture constraints, but we will continue to strive to create Rooms that reflect your feedback. We are also sorry that we could not meet your expectations regarding meals. We strive to let you taste the season through local ingredients, but we apologize for not being able to meet your expectations. We use such candid feedback to improve our hospitality, and we will continue to strive to make your future stays more enjoyable.
