    We had a great time.

    High satisfaction accommodation in Dogo Onsen with parking, suitable for one person per room and up to four people. This is my second stay this year. It was relaxing after golf and conveniently located for exploring Dogo. The breakfast was delicious and well-received by my golf companions. I would like to stay here again when playing golf in Matsuyama.

    First Visit to Dogo Onsen

    It was my first visit to Shikoku well past the age of 70. I traveled from Tokyo by plane, and the transportation was convenient. The Hotel, located near both the main building and annex, was excellent. The staff were kind and pleasant, and the Room was very functional and clean. I only had breakfast during my stay, but it was very delicious. I stayed for two nights, and the Onsen on the top floor was incredibly relaxing. My husband and I agreed that we would love to stay here again if we have another chance to visit Shikoku.

    Would love to stay again.

    The facility was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. We stayed in a room with both tatami mats and beds, which was clean, spacious, and offered a great view overlooking the Dogo Onsen Main Building—perfect for relaxing. The meal included sashimi, meat dishes, and teppanyaki on a copper plate; the rest was served buffet-style. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations for the buffet as I thought it might be like commercial ready-made dishes. However, everything had a homemade feel to it and was delicious—even the desserts were satisfying. Access to the Dogo Onsen Main Building was very convenient as well. I would definitely love to stay here again!

    It was a highly satisfying hotel stay. Although there was a last-minute change in the number of guests, the staff kindly accommodated us, which we greatly appreciated. The room and interior design throughout the accommodation were tasteful and provided a relaxing atmosphere. The large public bath and restaurant were clean and enjoyable as well. Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious with a wide variety of dishes, all of which were incredibly delicious. When our child forgot something, it was promptly sent to us, which was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Ehime. Highly recommended!

    This was my first time using this service. It was also my first visit to Dogo Onsen, and I found it pleasantly lively with tourists but not too noisy, allowing me to relax. I regret not taking another bath (a second time) before checking out.

    It became a memorable anniversary.

    We stayed to celebrate a birthday. Thank you for upgrading our Room to one with a great view. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, included seafood and were absolutely delicious. The evening piano concert was also wonderful. We were amazed and moved by the impromptu performance of requested songs. It would be even more enjoyable if you can quickly think of songs to request. We definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much!

    The facility is mode...

    The facility is modern, clean, and features contemporary interiors. The Room amenities, including yukata, sleepwear, sandals, and slippers, were fully equipped with nothing lacking. Both the large public bath and the changing area were impeccably clean, making for a pleasant experience. Meals offered a wide variety for both dinner and breakfast with satisfying flavors. One minor concern was that most of the guests were inbound tourists; as Japanese guests in Japan, we felt slightly out of place at times. While we have no objection to welcoming inbound tourists, it might be nice to maintain a certain balance in guest demographics.

    The level of service at the dining venue is...

    Reserved with kaiseki cuisine and half-buffet, but upon arriving at the dining venue, we were only shown to our seats with no explanation about the half-buffet. We had to ask for information ourselves. Additionally, during the seating guidance, an employee carrying a tray passed by and said, "I'll take over that task." I've never seen such an exchange during guest guidance before. It all comes down to a lack of proper training. The half-buffet was also far from impressive in terms of variety and quality. I booked a suite because I wanted a view from above and a slightly larger room, but there was no distinction in parking spaces. The room was clean with a nice view, and the bath was good as well; however, there were more disappointing aspects overall. It made me realize the difference compared to accommodations rated 4 or 5 stars. I stayed here because I couldn't book my preferred accommodation at Dogo Onsen; it reminded me how important reviews are.

    Onsen & Location

    You can enjoy views of Dogo Onsen Honkan and Matsuyama Castle while relaxing in the Onsen. The cityscape is visible, offering a luxurious experience. Dogo Onsen Honkan and the shopping street are easily accessible via a dedicated elevator. The twin room is compact yet functional, with ample space for a comfortable stay. Although there was a slight odor in the bathroom, it wasn’t an issue as I used the large public bath. Breakfast had a good variety and taste, complemented by great views. The staff were friendly and welcoming—highly recommended!

    The staff's hospitality, the cleanliness of the Hotel, and the convenient access to Dogo Onsen were all excellent. The Room was spacious, and I could enjoy a wonderful view of Dogo Onsen from the window. I would love to stay here again.

    The evening mini-concert is fantastic!

    During our stay, we discovered a delightful piano concert at night. The performance included my favorite pieces like "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg," "Sunflower," and "Over the Rainbow," making for a truly wonderful evening. You can also order wine or whiskey while enjoying the view of the night outside through the windows from a cozy sofa. It felt as if I was floating in the night sky or soaking in a warm bath—a truly relaxing experience. Absolutely amazing! The onsen is exceptionally clean. Unlike some other onsens where shower water might flow into the bath, here everything is perfectly separated by walls—absolutely flawless. Plenty of towels are provided, which is very convenient. For breakfast, you can enjoy fresh sashimi along with toppings like shredded seaweed and sesame seeds to create your own seafood bowl—it’s so much fun! In the free-access garden, roses were blooming beautifully during our visit. You can relax under rose arches or at tables with parasols for shade. Next door, there’s local craft beer and jakoten (fish cakes) available for purchase—you can bring them over to enjoy leisurely in this serene setting. With Dogo Onsen nearby, this location is perfect! I definitely want to visit again. A heartfelt thank you to the pianist who performed so beautifully and to all the staff members for their excellent hospitality!

    You can fully enjoy Dogo Onsen.

    Excellent location with a very clean facility. Convenient access to Dogo Onsen Honkan and the arcade shopping street, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, with a wide variety of dishes prepared by chefs right in front of us. The food was delicious, and our family ended up eating more than we should have! From the onsen on the top floor, you can see Matsuyama Castle in the distance and enjoy a panoramic view of Matsuyama City during the day. If we have another chance to visit Dogo Onsen, we would love to stay here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    Relax as a Couple

    We stayed in a Standard Twin Room for 2 nights and 3 days. The room had a tatami space, which was great for organizing luggage or relaxing while watching TV. The Hotel is located uphill, so we were initially worried about transportation, but the dedicated elevator that took us directly down to the side of Dogo Onsen was impressive. We used the private Onsen option for one hour, and it was spacious enough to feel luxurious even for two people. However, the washing area felt narrow when two people were there together, and it was disappointing that there was only one showerhead. The bathroom in our room was also large enough for me to relax comfortably despite my larger build. The main dishes at dinner—meat and sashimi—were fresh and delicious with a Japanese touch; however, the buffet items were quite ordinary. I especially wished there had been more variety in sushi toppings. For breakfast, I personally would have liked options like fried eggs, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs as well as grilled salmon, ochazuke (rice with tea), pickles or plain udon noodles. It would also have been nice to see simple sandwiches or ham and sausages among the bread options. Next time we plan to return with our grandchildren! Thank you very much to all staff members at reception and housekeeping who made our stay comfortable!

    Satisfied

    Stayed one night in a Superior Japanese-style Twin Room. The entire facility is modern and newly renovated, creating a stylish atmosphere. Located on an elevated area, the view overlooking the city and Matsuyama Castle was stunning. The location is also convenient for exploring the town. Dinner at the restaurant was set for 7:30 PM, and we enjoyed a window-side table. The sashimi, steak, buffet dishes, small plates, and desserts all had a handmade touch and were delicious. The only downside was that the bathwater felt slightly lukewarm, and there was no sauna. However, everything else was excellent, making for a comfortable stay overall.

    This was my first time staying here. The large public bath on the top floor was clean, and the expansive windows offered a magnificent view of the Shikoku Mountains. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and I was very satisfied. The breakfast buffet, focusing on local ingredients, was outstanding in both quality and quantity. The highlight for me was creating my own seafood bowl with fresh sashimi—it was exceptional. Access to Dogo Onsen Honkan is convenient via an elevator and connecting corridor; even though it rained lightly that day, I didn’t need an umbrella, which was very helpful. Every staff member provided warm and friendly service, leaving a great impression. I would love to stay here again when visiting Dogo Onsen in the future. Thank you to all the staff!

    Cozy Hotel

    We visited for my elderly mother's birthday trip. The location is excellent, with just two elevator rides to reach the Dogo Onsen Main Building and direct access to the shopping street. The thoughtful hospitality of the hotel staff enhanced our satisfaction with the trip. The room was clean, and though not very spacious, its layout and design made it feel comfortable. The public bath was bright and clean, and we appreciated not having to bring towels from the room each time. The meals were buffet-style, and everything we tried was delicious—we even enjoyed steak at the end of our meal. In the lounge near the front desk, there was a lovely live piano performance. A patissier prepared a beautifully delicate dessert message plate for my mother, which she loved so much that she kept taking photos of it in delight. Thank you for making this such a wonderful trip! We would love to visit again!

    The Hotel provided a wheelchair for my mother, who has difficulty walking, and there is a dedicated pathway from the Hotel to Dogo Haikara Street (shopping arcade), making it extremely convenient. The Room, meals, and bath were also wonderful. Thank you very much.

    Family Trip

    We chose this Ryokan as it is close to the newly renovated Dogo Onsen Main Building. The place was very clean, and our room was upgraded to a wonderful one where we had a comfortable stay. The meals were delicious, and the staff were kind, making it a great trip. We would love to visit again!

    The Dogo Onsen Main Building is conveniently located just a short walk of about 100 meters after taking two elevators down, making it very convenient to visit both the main building and the arcade street. The staff's service was also good. Meals were buffet-style, but I feel there could be a bit more creativity. There was not much meat, and the chicken, like "steamed chicken," was dry. It's a bit disappointing because if the meals were better...

    It may not be suitable for a Multiple Night Stay.

    Both the Facility and Room were clean, and the convenience allowed for active movement. I had a Multiple Night Stay, but it was disappointing that the meals on the second night were almost the same as the first night. The Onsen was also clean, but it was disappointing that there was no variation between the indoor bath and the open-air bath.

    This is my favorite Stays in Dogo.

    This was our second stay, and we stayed with 3 families, totaling 6 people. One member arrived at night and departed at 6 a.m. the next morning, but after explaining this in advance, they secured a parking spot near the entrance and prepared a bento box for the early morning departure, providing a very warm-hearted service. The location is great, the room is clean, and the food is delicious. We love this property.

    A hotel overlooking the Dogo Onsen Main Building

    The elevator takes you down right next to the main bath, and it was in a perfect location near the shopping street. From the upgraded Room, we could see the view of Matsuyama city, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. The meals were buffet-style, but there were many delicious dishes made with local ingredients. After dinner, there was a clarinet and piano performance in the lobby, and it was wonderful to hear Christmas songs and my favorite tunes.

    It was my first time at Dogo Onsen, but it was a perfect hotel with a very well-maintained room with a great view, a pleasant large bath, and a wonderful private path and elevator that leads directly to the Dogo Onsen Honkan.

    The facility is excellent, but the guest manners are the worst.

    The access from Dogo Onsen Station is convenient, the property is new, and the spacious and clean large public bath is comfortable, so I have used it three times since the grand opening. The service has a good sense of distance, making it the best stay for onsen and accommodation. The large public bath on the top floor is particularly excellent, offering a panoramic view of Matsuyama City from the jacuzzi with a sleeping bath type and the semi-open-air bath, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed feeling in an open space. I made a reservation again this year without hesitation, but this time I had an unpleasant experience due to the poor manners of Asian foreign guests. They lacked manners for staying and using the onsen, such as entering the onsen without washing their bodies, using the washing area carelessly, talking loudly in the bath, leaving footwear unattended without putting them in the shoe box, and leaving used towels on the dressing room washbasin, making several places unusable... It was a terrible situation. Although the staff regularly patrols, I felt that the manners for staying and using the onsen should be individually explained at the check-in stage, and the [Cautionary Notes] should be clearly indicated in the large public bath. There is no problem with the facility itself, but the poor manners of the guests made me hesitate to make a reservation next time... It was such a stay. I think similar problems exist in any stay, but I hope improvements will be made so that guests can use it comfortably.
