    Conveniently located...

    Conveniently located near Dogo Onsen Station, the view from the Room was great, with Dogo Onsen Honkan and Matsuyama Castle visible. The window glass had a pattern, so it would have been even better if it were completely clear. The Room was clean and comfortable, with a nice sense of cleanliness. The large public bath on the top floor was also very relaxing, and I especially recommend the open-air bath! We used the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, and there were many local dishes and unique items—everything was delicious. Dinner was a half-buffet, but we were very full, so I thought it would be nice to have a Plan with buffet only (it may already exist...). Also, I’d be happy if there were mandarin orange juice at breakfast! It was also great to have live piano music in the evening.

    The Room air conditioner was noisy, making it hard to fall asleep.

    The Onsen was pleasant and the Room was comfortable, but the air conditioner made a loud gurgling sound like water rushing, which made it hard to fall asleep and woke me up several times. It was the same last time as well, which was disappointing.

    A new, clean, and quiet Ryokan

    We drove there and got a little lost, but a staff member was waiting outside and guided us to the parking area. The Room was clean, and there were disposable amenities for two people, including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and soap, plus plenty of other amenities. The bath availability was shown on the TV, so when we went during an open time it felt like a private bath and we could relax. There were towels and bath towels in the Room as well, but the Onsen also provided bath towels and towels, so we didn’t need to bring them from the Room. To get to Dogo Onsen Honkan, there is a passageway next to the front desk that connects near Honkan, so you can get there with hardly any exposure to rain. The staff were courteous, and I recommend this Ryokan. It’s a Ryokan that makes me want to visit again.

    It was a comfortable trip.

    Given its location near the Dogo Onsen Main Building, we had a very satisfying stay, enjoying a stroll in yukata after bathing. The facilities and our Room were clean. The large public bath was comfortable, and the front desk staff were very kind. The mini concert after dinner was also nice. However, perhaps competition among Hotels in Dogo Onsen is intense. Possibly due to cost-cutting, the dinner did not taste good. That may be why many guests choose to eat out instead. Aside from this, it was a good stay.

    Prime location

    The location was excellent for accessing Dogo Onsen Honkan. The views were great, and we could see Dogo Onsen Honkan and Matsuyama Castle from the lobby. From the top-floor large public Onsen bath, we could also see the illuminated Matsuyama Castle and Dogo Onsen Honkan, and the view while soaking was outstanding.

    It was great being close to Haikara-san Street.

    I visited with a PHEV, and it was great that the charging fee was based on the amount of electricity used. I think EV drivers would also appreciate this system and pricing. The bath was clean, and even during Golden Week it wasn’t crowded, which was nice. Considering the price and location, I would likely use it again if I visit in the future.

    I arrived before noo...

    I arrived before noon because I planned to stroll around Dogo Onsen. The staff guided me to the parking area carefully, and the luggage storage service was excellent. The multi-story parking garage can accommodate SUVs, and there is also a surface lot, so parking felt very reassuring. The Room was a Japanese-Western style room with a raised tatami area, and it was very clean. From the window, I could see Matsuyama Castle and the Dogo Onsen Main Building, and I could even watch the projection mapping on the Dogo Onsen Main Building from my room. The view may depend on your assigned room, but it was wonderful this time. The large public bath was also kept very clean, and I would like to stay here again next time.

    The Perfect Base for Your Dogo Onsen Trip

    This was my first trip to Dogo Onsen, and I stayed here for the night. I chose it mainly because it was new, but it turned out to be an even better Hotel than I expected. First, the location is excellent and very convenient. Take the dedicated elevator down and you’re right by the Dogo Onsen Main Building. There’s also a footbath and a plaza, and beyond that a shopping street. The convenience is perfect. The Room was very clean, and I liked that three yukata in different sizes were provided so you could choose what fit best. It was also a nice touch that separate sleepwear was available. The Onsen is clean and has a great view as well. The live piano performance in the lobby added a special feel. The meal was delicious too—the main dish as well as the separate half-buffet options. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Dogo Onsen next time.

    It was a wonderful place!

    We stayed at the annex “Toki no Oto” for two nights. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided a thorough explanation, and they also offered umbrella rentals—overall, it was a very comfortable Hotel throughout our stay. I accidentally left something behind, but they called us right away and even sent it to us. Their service was very courteous, and they responded quickly when we needed help. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

    My Daughter’s Graduation Trip

    I stayed here because I wanted a Hotel close to Dogo Onsen Honkan. For dinner, I tried both the course meal and the buffet, and for breakfast I had the buffet; everything was delicious. The Room was spacious, and even the bath in the Room was supplied with Onsen water, so I was very satisfied. The Room was also kept very clean, and I would like to stay again. You can also reach Dogo Onsen Honkan through an indoor passageway, which made me want to stay again. My daughter was happy too, and it became a memorable trip.

    Your First Visit to Dogo Onsen

    Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for keeping the Ryokan so clean. The service was very pleasant, and we were satisfied with the wide range of amenities. The open-air bath was incredibly relaxing, and the view was great as well. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

    It was a comfortable Hotel.

    I enjoyed a relaxing 2-night stay with clean and comfortable rooms and an Onsen in a great location. Based on prior information, I didn't have high expectations for the meals, so I chose to dine outside the Hotel. Small thoughtful touches like free coffee or ice cream in the changing room of the bath would have been nice additions. The bed and air conditioning were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

    Completely satisfied.

    Conveniently located close to Dogo Onsen, it was easy to walk even in sandals without getting tired. The room was a Japanese-style room with beds, so there was no need to take slippers on and off, making it very relaxing. The luxurious French amenities were also excellent. The dinner buffet featured fresh vegetables, seafood, and meat—all of which were delicious. The creative appetizers shown in the image were especially exquisite; I had several plates of them. I was deeply touched by the surprise message plate! I would love to stay here again.

    Year-End Family Trip

    Located just steps away from the Dogo Onsen Main Building, the location is excellent. The staff's warm and kind hospitality was truly impressive. The dinner buffet offered around 30 dishes, all in bite-sized portions, making it enjoyable even for middle-aged guests with smaller appetites to try everything. The monkfish hot pot featured a barley miso base, a rare treat for those from the Kanto region, with an addictive flavor. Unlike the crowded Dogo Onsen Main Building baths, the large public bath here was spacious and allowed for a relaxing soak. I tend to be critical in my reviews, but looking back on this trip, I found no faults and would rate it a perfect score.

    Prime Location, Exceptional Staff

    Directly connected to Dogo Onsen Honkan via a private elevator, making onsen hopping incredibly smooth. The location was perfect, especially for the cold winter season. Of course, all the staff were full of hospitality, and the facility was new and clean. Our trip as four men celebrating our 60th birthdays became an unforgettable memory.

    New, clean, and excellent

    The location is exceptional. From the square in front of Dogo Onsen Honkan, you can take a private path for guests and ascend via a special elevator, already giving a sense of being in an extraordinary place. You can easily visit the Honkan directly from your room wearing just yukata and geta sandals, which is very convenient. Heading there at 6:30 AM allowed me to enjoy the onsen peacefully with fewer people around. Inside the accommodation, the high ceilings in the hallways create an open atmosphere, and art displayed throughout makes it feel like staying in a museum. The live piano performance held at 8:30 PM in the lobby adds to this special experience. What stood out most was the cleanliness of both the bathroom facilities and bedding in our room. It was very comfortable and reassuring to stay here. Additionally, amenities were generously provided with high-quality items featuring refined fragrances that felt luxurious and unique—something not easily found elsewhere—which made using them delightful every time. Breakfast was also highly satisfying; I was particularly impressed by how deliciously prepared the grilled sea bream was—it left me amazed! There were also sashimi options available, along with exquisite orange juice that truly lived up to Ehime's reputation. Using Tobe-yaki bowls and teacups during meals added another layer of enjoyment—their rounded texture and perfect weight are best appreciated when used firsthand. I became quite fond of them! Even seeing or touching Tobe-yaki dishes provided within guest rooms brought joy. The large public bath area was spacious yet uncrowded; having massage chairs available there added extra comfort as well. Being able to check its occupancy status through our room’s TV proved very convenient too. On areas for improvement: some switches for lighting or heating couldn’t be fully turned off at night so it wasn’t completely dark—this made falling asleep slightly difficult for me personally. Also missing welcome drinks at reception felt like a missed opportunity while certain breakfast vegetables/fruits seemed somewhat dry as if pre-cut beforehand. Since we stayed as three people including one child having three sets each (tea bags/dishes) would’ve been ideal too! Despite minor concerns overall this accommodation offered both uniqueness & comfort making us want another stay soon!

    Did I manage to show my gratitude to my parents?

    It was a fulfilling trip to Ehime for filial piety. We enjoyed delicious meals and the Onsen provided a warm and relaxing time, easing our daily fatigue. The location was perfect, with easy access to Dogo Onsen and Haikara Street, allowing us to stay without worrying about time. This time I came with my parents and sister, but next time I would love to bring my daughter along.

    Accommodation you'll want to visit again

    This was my fourth stay. Since only a double room was available at the time of reservation, I was concerned about whether two people could rest comfortably, but it was as comfortable as a twin room. One thing that caught my attention was that when we returned to the room on the second day, the cupboard door had been left open... It seemed to be just an oversight, so we used it as is, but it was a bit disappointing considering how clean everything else was. The large public bath with a panoramic view of Matsuyama City is truly unique, and the newly updated massage chairs in the changing area were very relaxing. I look forward to staying here again next time!

    30th Wedding Anniversary Trip

    This time, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we went on a Shikoku tour. On the first day, we stayed at this hotel, an accommodation near Dogo Onsen that we had wanted to visit for a long time. As mentioned in many reviews, taking the elevator leads you right next to the Dogo Onsen main building, which is very convenient. Additionally, having tatami mats in the room made it relaxing, and having a chair in the washroom allowed me to take my time with makeup—these were high points for us. What I found disappointing was that the TV remote control in our room didn’t work well and required getting closer to operate it each time. One of the hairdryers in the men's large bath was broken and unusable. The women's large bath and open-air bath seemed visible from outside as well. However, the half-buffet featuring Wagyu rump steak was tender and delicious. The tai-meshi (sea bream rice) was also delightful. While there are areas for improvement, overall it was a very satisfying accommodation experience. I would love to stay here again if given another opportunity!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    We stayed as a family and had a wonderful time. The spacious room allowed us to relax, and the Onsen within the Hotel was excellent. The Hotel staff provided just the right level of attentive service, which we appreciated. Although the location requires driving up a hill, there is a dedicated route from the Hotel that leads directly near Dogo Onsen Honkan, making it very convenient to visit. Thanks to this, we were able to enjoy Dogo Onsen Honkan with ease! Even though we live far away and cannot visit often, our family talked about wanting to come back again someday. Thank you so much for providing us with such an amazing travel experience!

    The room and bath were all clean, and it was close to the Dogo Onsen Main Building, allowing us to fully enjoy the sightseeing spots at a leisurely pace.     A Trip for Two: Mother and Daughter

    First Visit to Dogo Onsen The weather was cloudy with occasional rain, but it wasn't too hot, so we could enjoy a relaxing onsen tour. The hotel staff were all friendly and created a very comfortable accommodation experience. Dinner: Although we arrived later than scheduled, the staff welcomed us with smiles. However, I felt sorry as the busy staff had to hurriedly explain the menu. We enjoyed a leisurely meal but regretted missing the live piano performance due to taking our time dining. The room provided a restful stay. It was slightly inconvenient that vending machines were only available on the lobby floor since I drink plenty of water. I also thought it would be nice if there were more tea bags provided in the room. I was delighted that the bath facilities were available until late at night. The footbath at an affiliated café also offered a relaxing experience.

    The Room is disappointing.

    This was my first visit to the renowned Dogo Onsen. The room, while not spacious, had a calming atmosphere. After a tiring journey, I enjoyed bathing in the large public bath on the hotel's top floor (with an amazing view) before going to bed. However, the partition between the sanitary space and the room is made of glass with only thin blinds, so turning on the light makes the entire room bright. As an elderly person who needs to use the restroom twice during the night, I couldn't sleep well and found it quite difficult. Staying here for two nights made this experience even more disappointing. If there had been a note mentioning this issue with the room, I wouldn't have completed this Reservation. On a positive note, its location is very convenient as there's an elevator that takes you directly to Dogo Onsen Honkan.
