    Christmas Trip

    We visited for our last trip of the year. Since a cold wave was expected the next day, we chose Shirahama, where it rarely snows. The Onsen in the room was excellent, and both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and satisfying. If I had to be picky, it would have been perfect if the bath had been a jacuzzi. Lastly, all the staff were truly courteous, and their smiles were wonderful. Thank you very much!

    I will visit again next year.

    Third stay. The cleanliness and quality of the food are excellent. I felt happy when the staff greeted me with "Welcome back." The only downside is that I ended up overeating and my stomach became larger than ever before. Blanchette is a place you can stay at repeatedly without getting tired of it.

    33rd Wedding Anniversary

    I stayed here with my wife for our wedding anniversary. Although there is no large public bath, the Onsen bath in the room becomes an open-air bath when you fully open the window. With a private terrace offering a sense of openness and zero travel time to enjoy the Onsen, we soaked multiple times and relieved our daily fatigue. The meals were served buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy as an older couple. For younger guests... All Hotel staff were kind and attentive, clearly reflecting the Hotel's concept of creating a stress-free relaxing space. Thank you very much! We will definitely stay again for another special occasion.

    The Onsen in the room is excellent!

    I enjoyed the Onsen in the room and used it multiple times. The staff's service during meals was good, but I felt slightly underwhelmed by the food, perhaps because my expectations were too high based on prior reviews. Additionally, it was disappointing that some of the basic dishes were out of stock, possibly due to the late dining time. There are no shops within Blanchette, so I recommend preparing any necessities for your stay before check-in.

    We had an amazing time even with our baby!

    This was our first trip with our 3-month-old baby, so we were a bit worried, but we had a wonderful time! The room was spacious and felt like home, allowing us to relax as a family. The dinner and breakfast we reserved were some of the best buffet meals we've ever had—every dish was absolutely delicious. Seafood lovers will especially enjoy it. We plan to stay here again when visiting Wakayama. Highly recommended for families with children!

    Autumn Trip

    The room bath was an onsen, and the high review scores for the meals prompted us to stay. Since families with children can also stay, the dining area was lively, but the food was delicious. The seafood rice porridge in the morning was exceptional. Although it was a buffet style, everything tasted great, and I thought it was a good deal as drinks were free. There were a few ants in the room, so personally, I would appreciate if rooms for adults only and rooms for families with children could be separated; I would consider staying again next time if this is implemented.

    I had a great stay.

    The room was clean and well-maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The bath (Onsen) was spacious enough for about two people to enjoy together. The meals featured high-quality ingredients and were delicious. The freshly steamed oysters and steak were exceptional! The staff provided excellent service, comparable to that of a luxury hotel. While there isn't a breathtaking view or ocean right in front of the property, it feels like a place where adults can relax and enjoy a leisurely getaway.

    Accommodation you'll want to visit again

    It might be a bit expensive in Wakayama, but I think this accommodation is worth it. The room is villa-style, truly quiet, and perfect for relaxation. The meals were absolutely delicious! The best part was the excellent service from the staff—it made all the difference! It was a very relaxing trip.

    For anniversary celebrations

    We chose to stay here to celebrate our anniversary and provide a special experience for my wife. As expected, the Hotel lived up to its reputation, and the cuisine was top-notch. Every detail reflected creativity and dedication, leaving us highly satisfied. The Facility was impeccably maintained and clean, and above all, the staff's hospitality and constant smiles made it a memorable anniversary. This was our fifth visit to Shirahama, and we look forward to staying here again.

    If you stay here, choose the plan with dinner and breakfast included!

    It was my first stay in years, but the high quality remained unchanged, and it was very comfortable. Wonderful! Although the onsen is a circulation system, every room is equipped with a private onsen, ensuring privacy—this is the main reason I choose this hotel. The meals were excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Fresh fruits were served instead of frozen ones. Every dish was outstanding, with no shortcuts like filling you up with oily food—I ended up eating too much! As before, I was impressed by the honey at breakfast. The juice at breakfast also seemed to be straight rather than from concentrate. Unfortunately, there’s one area that could be improved: the free drink service for alcohol during dinner is confusing. While alcoholic beverages are available, it wasn’t clear how to get soda water for highballs or water for whiskey on the rocks. When I asked staff members about it, they couldn’t provide a satisfactory answer, so I settled for drinking whiskey neat instead. The bottles are just lined up without clear instructions or organization; finding what you want can be challenging and stressful when other guests line up behind you while you're deciding what to take. Expanding the space might help improve this experience. That said, this isn’t enough to deduct points—it’s just a suggestion that could make an already great experience perfect. For this price range, I think these services are exceptional! If someone wants even better service than this hotel offers at its current rate, they’d probably have to stay at accommodations costing more than double. Thank you very much for providing such a relaxing experience!

    One of the top 1-2 Hotels I have stayed at.

    We stayed for two nights with the main purpose of seeing emperor penguins at Adventure World. The room had an Onsen, allowing us to enjoy it at any time without worrying about others, which was very convenient. The room featured large windows that let in plenty of sunlight. Each unit was separated by walls, ensuring privacy and eliminating the need to close curtains. We chose a plan that included dinner and breakfast. The meals were different on the first and second days, showing thoughtful consideration for guests on multiple night stays. Additionally, the buffet style allowed us to pick our favorite dishes as much as we wanted, and unlimited alcohol made it even more enjoyable. This plan also included light snacks and a bottle of wine in the room for both nights, which was a delightful touch. While all these aspects make me want to stay here again, what stood out most was the exceptional service from the staff. Despite having many guests staying at once, they remembered our names—something that truly surprised us. The staff managed buffet operations seamlessly; plates were cleared quickly, and there were no shortages of food items throughout our meals. This level of attentiveness likely reflects excellent teamwork and training among staff members. We are planning to visit again next summer at the latest and look forward to staying here once more.     For the price.

    The young woman at the front desk made me uncomfortable by staring, though other staff provided good service. The room was uncomfortably hot due to the bathroom being inside, creating a sauna-like atmosphere. While there is a door, opening it lets in insects. Upon entering, I noticed hair floating in the bath and ants walking around before even using it. There were also ants on the bed, which was unpleasant. If you dislike insects, I would not recommend staying here. Be aware that checking out 10 minutes late may result in being charged for two hours (25% of your travel cost). Even budget hotels I've stayed at before did not charge for being 15 minutes late. For the price paid here, I found this policy unreasonable. Before making my reservation, I had an unpleasant experience with the manager over the phone; their tone felt condescending and left me feeling uneasy even before arriving. As a manager, they should reconsider their approach to customer service. On a positive note, the food was delicious but 90 minutes felt too short for dining. Lastly, despite available rooms near the front desk, we were assigned one of the farthest rooms from it—making moving around inconvenient.

    A Relaxing and Wonderful Getaway

    It was a truly wonderful private villa! The spacious and open room allowed us to enjoy the onsen 24 hours a day, and my husband was very satisfied. The breakfast buffet venue was also spacious, offering a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes to enjoy. We are grateful for the attentive care of the staff.     A Resort Hotel Where You Can Fully Enjoy Privacy

    I stayed with my parents to celebrate my mother's 88th birthday. The accommodation was a private villa, offering a quiet and spacious room where we could fully enjoy the sense of privacy. The buffet restaurant was also spacious, with a wide variety of dishes, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. Additionally, we were able to freely enjoy the Shirahama Onsen water in the room, which made my parents very happy. We brought in a vegan cake, and not only did they store it for us before check-in, but they also delivered it to our room with plates and forks. I truly appreciate the thoughtful attention from the staff. I would love to stay here again when visiting the Shirahama area!

    The Hotel features a refreshing Western-style exterior during the day and a sophisticated ambiance at night. Each Room is independent, making it ideal for families to stay with peace of mind. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. I was delighted to enjoy alcohol with dinner, and the steak was truly exceptional. Personally, I appreciated the time limit as it helped me avoid overeating or overdrinking, which felt just right.

    We stayed in a 4-bed Room for my sister's 60th birthday celebration, recommended by a friend. The Hotel staff provided excellent service with warm smiles and were very helpful with any questions we had. Most importantly, as my friend mentioned, the food was visually appealing and delicious. Although it was buffet-style, the portions were small enough to enjoy a variety of dishes. 90 minutes just wasn't enough (laughs). The surprise plate delivered with a birthday song was adorable and made my sister emotional, creating unforgettable memories for the four of us sisters. We had such a wonderful time. This is definitely a Hotel we would love to visit again!

    This is my third visit. I love the meals and the Onsen, and I always think, "I want to come back!" However, I have a request this time. Please clean the tiles around the bath area. When water was poured, something like algae or mold peeled off from the tile grout and flowed away. There was also a black substance around the frame of the door leading outside from the bath area... Additionally, I couldn't use the shower because it couldn't be fixed in place due to water pressure issues. I would appreciate it if you could address these points for improvement. Thank you!

    A Wonderful Stay at the Hotel

    Each room is independent and very quiet. The Onsen spa in the room was available 24 hours, allowing us to enjoy it at our preferred time, which was very relaxing. The meals we were most looking forward to were luxurious and absolutely delicious. The staff provided kind, attentive, and friendly service with smiles throughout our stay. This is a Hotel I would love to visit every season. My family was also extremely satisfied. One regret was that it rained, so we couldn't go out onto the terrace. I had hoped to stargaze from the terrace at night... We will definitely come back again!

    Exceptional Hospitality

    I made the reservation for the purpose of enjoying the highly-rated cuisine, but I was deeply impressed by the excellent hospitality of all the staff. Of course, the food met my expectations. The only disappointment was that the sofa appeared dirty, which made me hesitant to sit on it (though there were chairs available, so it wasn’t an issue).
