    We had a comfortable stay.

    I chose this Accommodation because it has a large public bath. Overall, I’m satisfied with the Facility, but I saw some inbound guests putting towels into the bath and washing their bodies in the tub, so I think it would be even more comfortable if you could post notices about proper bathing etiquette. Also, regarding the Room amenities, at first I couldn’t find the closet and thought there were no hangers. It would be easier to understand if you could explain it at check-in or leave the door open. The phone was covered in dust and had noticeable fingerprints on it, which felt like a shame because the Room itself was very nice. The location is great, and both the environment and Facility are good, so I will use this Accommodation again.

    Conveniently located near Kitashinchi

    I’ve been using it often lately. The elevator is inconvenient, and it’s very crowded.

    The bathroom was terrible.

    The men’s bath was crowded, and the sauna was out of order. The women’s bath was also crowded, with a long line for the washing area. I understand the hotel’s environmental efforts, but pajamas and bed sheets are changed only once every two days.

    What I liked

    What I liked I chose the Room-assigned-at-check-in Plan, and they gave me a Room with a queen-size bed, so I was able to stay very comfortably. The TV was positioned so it was easy to watch from the bed, and I could use my own account to watch streaming services, which was perfect for me since I wanted to relax in the Room. Getting to the Hotel is smooth because you can go almost entirely via underground passages, and since it’s right in front of Osaka Ekimae Dai-3 Building, there are plenty of places to eat. You can drop off your luggage and head out for a meal on a casual walk. Breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of options, and the made-to-order omelet from the live kitchen was delicious. It also felt reassuring that staff were stationed at the entrance to the large public bath. What could be improved Even though there are three elevators, they were a bit slow to arrive. Luckily my Room was on the 3rd floor where the large public bath is located, so I could get there without using an elevator, but even when I just wanted to go down to the 2nd floor for drinks, waiting for an elevator felt like a hassle. I would have preferred using stairs between floors. It was disappointing that in the lounge next to reception—since many guests use it—they sometimes ran out of paper cups, oolong tea was empty, or black tea packets were out. Still, I had a very comfortable stay overall and would like to use this Hotel again.

    Toilet Paper Location and How to Use It

    There are two toilet paper rolls stacked vertically to the right of the toilet seat, and guests are instructed to use the upper roll, but the lower one is easier to reach. I understand the eco-friendly intent, but this was my only complaint during my Multiple Night Stay (2 nights). I can’t reach it with my right hand, and using my left makes me twist awkwardly and hurts my side. I’d like it mounted on the door. Breakfast includes a live kitchen and a wide variety of dishes, and even on a Multiple Night Stay the menu changes, which is very helpful. A Plan that allows you to make a Reservation for parking provides peace of mind.

    Response to a Fire Alarm (False Alarm)

    A fire alarm and an emergency announcement sounded in the middle of the night, and we evacuated. We helped rescue an adult man who uses a wheelchair and is unable to move his body, carrying him down the outdoor stairs (from around the 17th floor to about the 8th) with several people. When we reached around the 8th floor, we learned it was a false alarm. I was relieved, but it was very frightening, and I believe it may have affected both those who were rescued and those who helped, physically and mentally. I understand there are few staff members at night, but disasters can happen at any time. We received an apology at checkout in the morning. Based on this incident, I hope you will strengthen your disaster preparedness and emergency response procedures.

    The large public bat...

    The large public bath Facility was great, but it would be convenient to have vending machines for drinks and light snacks. Changing clothes to go to a convenience store outside feels like a hassle.

    I’m glad I stayed here.

    I’ve stayed at Grasmere in Namba several times, but this was my first time using this Hotel Montere near Umeda. It doesn’t feel as luxurious as Grasmere, but the location is excellent. However, on a first visit it was a little hard to find the escalator up from the underground mall. Once you find it and go up, it’s truly right in front of you. This time I wanted to do some bar-hopping around the station-front buildings, so being able to come back immediately even after drinking made it an ideal choice. The building feels clean, and while the Room is simple, it has all the necessary amenities and functions. The bed firmness was comfortable for sleeping. Since there were many international travelers on the reception floor, I expected the large public bath to be crowded and that some guests might not follow proper etiquette, but it was always quiet whenever I went and very comfortable to use. The bath isn’t huge, but there are about 10 partitioned washing stations and a sauna—more than enough for a Hotel spa. It was also reassuring that there was always staff stationed at the SPA entrance. Having a convenience store and drugstore directly below the Hotel was also quietly convenient. It’s an Accommodation I’d like to use again when staying in Osaka Kita.

    This was my first time staying here, and the Facility and other amenities were new, clean, easy to use, and excellent. It also felt closer than expected from Osaka Station when walking through the underground shopping area.

    The front desk staff...

    The Facility and amenities were good, but the front desk staff were all foreign and seemed to be mostly new, with only about one trainer for every three people. In particular, a Korean male staff member stepped in even though I had not spoken to him, and he handled things incorrectly, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, there were no issues.

    That “old man smell”?

    Thank you for having me for one night and two days. The bedding smelled terrible… The pajamas were wrinkled and damp; I tried them on, but didn’t think I could sleep well, so I slept in my own Heattech instead. The pillowcase also smelled… it had a greasy odor. The sheets smelled too, so I didn’t want them near my face and slept with them pulled up only to around my chest. Of course, I couldn’t sleep well—it was awful. The Room was cleaned fairly well, but the odor—something that probably doesn’t come out even after washing or dry cleaning—was very stressful. I won’t be returning.

    The spa on the third...

    The spa on the third floor is a delightful feature. Its proximity to the Kitashinchi nightlife district makes it very convenient. Having a convenience store and drugstore nearby is also very helpful. The system requiring a Room key to access floors ensures safety, especially for women. The bathroom has no steps, making it safe for elderly guests or those with physical disabilities. However, the bed height is quite high, so caution may be needed for children. I would love to stay here again!

    It was excellent.

    It was excellent. The stay included breakfast, which was amazing—especially the butter! It was unlike anything I had ever tasted before. The breakfast offered a thoughtful variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese options, which was truly impressive. I didn’t try the large public bath this time, but I’d love to experience it on my next visit. The transportation access was very convenient with no issues at all. The bed was incredibly comfortable for a perfect night’s sleep.

    Had a pleasant stay.

    The Room and front desk were clean, providing a comfortable stay. Next to the front desk, there was a coffee machine (available until 10 PM, if I recall correctly) and an ice maker, but the usage hours are limited, so it is recommended to check in advance.

    I would love to stay here again.

    Great location, clean Room, spacious and clean public bath, two pillows provided, and the staff were kind and attentive. It was a very good Hotel! I would like to stay here again on my next trip to Osaka.

    Stayed from 2025/12/28 to 2025/12/30. The accommodation is a bit of a walk from the JR station, but it was a new and clean hotel. Here are four points of feedback: 1. **Cleaning Request - Were Sheets Not Changed?** On the second day, I requested full cleaning and went out. Upon returning and getting into bed, I noticed a cotton swab between the sheets and duvet. I believe it was the one I had misplaced the previous day. If the sheets had been changed, this would not have happened, so I assume they were not replaced. 2. **Air Conditioning** Since it was quite cold during my stay, I set the air conditioning to a lower temperature before going out to ensure it wouldn't be too cold upon my return (22°C on Day 1 and 20°C on Day 2). However, when entering the room after returning each time, it was uncomfortably hot to the point of sweating. As windows could not be opened in this room, cooling down took some effort. 3. **Receipt for Accommodation Tax** When paying for accommodation tax at check-in, I requested a receipt but was informed that only receipts are issued at check-out time instead of regular receipts being provided immediately at check-in. At check-out via an automated machine, I forgot to collect my receipt but later contacted staff who kindly arranged for it to be mailed—thank you! However while staying elsewhere afterward under similar circumstances (two nights), their system allowed issuing receipts directly during initial registration/check-ins themselves conveniently without delays; perhaps implementing such practices here might enhance guest satisfaction further? 4 . **Men’s Restroom Location Near Reception Floor Breakfast Area Signage Issues:** The men’s restroom located near reception floor breakfast area wasn’t easily noticeable due signage placement confusion especially post-breakfast hours closure notices blocking visibility pathways leading towards restroom access routes requiring clearer directional indicators improving usability experience overall helpfulness clarity purposes betterment suggestions recommended accordingly

    My favorite Hotel.

    This is my several-time stay at this accommodation. The location is great, and the large public bath makes for a comfortable experience. I also enjoy the breakfast, especially the mixed juice and the wide variety of dishes available. However, one disappointing aspect is that many people do not follow proper etiquette in the public bath. Some guests walk into the changing room soaking wet without bringing a towel to dry off, leaving the floor wet and unpleasant. This seems particularly common among foreign visitors. There were no notices or posters reminding guests to dry themselves before leaving the bath area, so adding such reminders might be helpful. Ideally, it would be nice to have separate usage times for Japanese and foreign guests, but I understand that may not be feasible... Additionally, I noticed some people wearing slippers in the breakfast area. Most guests follow rules by wearing proper shoes; therefore, stricter enforcement of this rule would be appreciated. The food itself is excellent, so it's unfortunate when such issues detract from an otherwise pleasant experience. Please ensure that those who follow rules can enjoy their stay without discomfort caused by others' behavior!

    Satisfied with the hospitality

    I stayed here for the New Year's Eve concert at Kyocera Dome. One of the reasons I chose this Hotel was its convenient location, just a 10-minute walk from Osaka Station, where the loop line was running late at night. I had some requests on the day of my stay and exchanged emails several times in advance. The responses were quick, and the service was excellent, which made me feel reassured. Thank you very much! Unfortunately, since it was New Year's Eve and fully booked, there was no Room upgrade available. Also, despite having three elevators in operation, the waiting time for each ride was very long and frustrating. I hope this can be improved in the future—apologies for giving only 3 points for Facilities due to this issue. Due to time constraints, I couldn't use the large public bath and instead used the bathroom in my Room. While it being a unit bath made it slightly inconvenient (minus 1 point), I appreciated that the bathtub itself had great material quality—it was spacious and comfortable to use. As someone who loves food, breakfast is always a major Point when choosing a Hotel... The Monterey Group never disappoints with their delicious offerings! On New Year’s Day morning, breakfast featured luxurious decorations that lifted my spirits—it included traditional Japanese New Year dishes like osechi and ozoni soup that truly brought out a festive feeling of starting fresh into another year! All other dishes were also delightful; it set such an amazing tone for beginning 2024—I’m deeply grateful. I’ll definitely stay here again!

    I usually don't write reviews for the Hotel I always stay at, but this time I had a very disappointing experience, so I decided to share it. The cleaning of the toilet and bathroom was insufficient, and there were hairs left behind, presumably from the previous guest. This was very disappointing. I refrained from reporting it on-site as informing the front desk or requesting a Room change seemed troublesome.

    Convenient access

    You can walk to Umeda Station through the underground shopping street without getting wet, approximately an 8-minute walk. Conveniently located within walking distance from the bustling Kitashinchi area. The facility is clean, and the breakfast is delicious, providing great satisfaction. After a disappointing experience at "Daiwa Roynet Kobe Sannomiya" in Kobe the previous day, this accommodation felt even more exceptional. Please stay with us once; you won't regret it.

    Located in the heart...

    Located in the heart of the downtown area, the security is excellent, and the Room was clean and very comfortable. Although not spacious, there is a public bath which was nice. I ended up using Osaka/Umeda Station frequently, and it’s a bit of a walk from there. On cold days, having an underground path leading close to the entrance was convenient. I would love to stay here again!

    Hotel in the Entertainment District

    Arrived late at night. The Hotel is located in a bustling downtown area, but there is no card security system in the elevator, which felt concerning. While there is some security at the entrance to the guest room area after exiting the elevator, it seemed ineffective if someone entered at the same time. The bathroom facilities are quite compact. The bedding was fairly comfortable. Overall, it was not a very memorable Room.

    Fully satisfied

    Arrived at Osaka Station Bus Terminal around 2 PM via my first long-distance express bus to attend an evening rakugo performance. Following the hotel's website video, I reached the accommodation quickly by walking past Hanshin Department Store. Took coffee and tea from the free drink corner next to the check-in counter back to my room and enjoyed meat buns purchased from a department store basement. The fatigue from a 5-6 hour bus ride disappeared instantly (though I took the bullet train on my way back). After enjoying rakugo, I checked the monitor for large bath availability to warm up and found it empty. The same was true in the morning, allowing me to fully enjoy it. Breakfast included delicious options like kushikatsu, udon, takoyaki, and freshly made omelets at a live cooking station. One suggestion would be clearer signage for the omelet station as it seemed underutilized. My wife mentioned that basic skincare products (like makeup remover) were not provided. Despite this minor point, we were fully satisfied with our stay in terms of meals and facilities after enjoying rakugo performances, Osaka Castle visits, and illuminations. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Osaka! Thank you very much!

    Conveniently located with excellent access. The Room is clean, and the amenities are sufficient. The floor is quiet, allowing for a comfortable stay. I used the breakfast buffet at its opening time (6:45 AM), and it was moderately crowded. The food was delicious.
