It was excellent.

This was the best Ryokan I have ever stayed at. The room was just renovated this year and was clean and tidy. Despite the simplicity, everything necessary was in its place. I was impressed by the number of trash cans and the provision of a toothbrush holder. The softness of the towels in the washroom and toilet was also nice. The bathwater was a bit hot, but when I opened the window, the outside air made it just right, and I could enjoy a pleasant bath. I was worried about stink bugs coming in when I opened the window, but it was fine. The meals were just the right amount for us, and we enjoyed everything. During the meal, they celebrated my birthday by providing non-alcoholic sparkling wine for me, as I can't have alcohol, and also prepared sparkling wine for my husband, which was a thoughtful gesture that touched me. If I had to say, it was a bit disappointing that there were no benefits for Diamond members.
