    Adults-only time

    My first visit to Dogo Onsen—everything was clean, the baths were great, and I really enjoyed my stay. All the staff were courteous, and their support was excellent. I truly appreciated their recommendations for nearby places to eat! Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were always attentive, which left a great impression! It was a wonderful Accommodation that made me want to come back.

    I truly enjoyed my stay.

    Our adults-only family stay was wonderful. With spacious beds, a Room featuring an open-air Onsen bath, and a location overlooking Matsuyama Castle, we ended up spending a lot of time relaxing in the Room. The amenities were excellent, including the in-room hair dryer (it was a ReFa), and every detail was thoughtfully arranged to eliminate the little stresses that can come with traveling. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and generously portioned, and we truly felt the warm hospitality throughout our stay. As a souvenir, we bought the diffuser that scented the property; its fresh citrus fragrance still brings back memories of our lovely time here even after returning home. Thank you very much. This is an Accommodation I would highly recommend to anyone planning to visit Dogo Onsen.

    Luxury Accommodation

    I stayed for one night at Dogo Miyu, and everything—from guiding my car on arrival to the welcome, guidance, and service—was outstanding hospitality. The food was also delicious, and what surprised me most was that I’m left-handed, and the chopsticks were set for a left-handed guest. They paid close attention to even the smallest details. I’m truly grateful—it made for a wonderful trip. I’d love to stay again. Thank you!

    It was a wonderful birthday gift.

    I stayed here with my 96-year-old father. Since there was availability, we were kindly upgraded. The Room was very comfortable, and my father was able to relax as if he were at home. Everything was wonderful, but if I had to highlight one thing in particular, it would be the hospitality of the staff. Everyone consistently greeted us warmly, and the staff who escorted us to our Room used polite and professional language impeccably. It truly made us feel welcome. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. We would love to stay again. Thank you in advance.

    I was able to relax.

    This was my second visit, and I was able to relax again. It was extremely hot that day and I was exhausted, but even though I arrived a little early, you kindly welcomed me in—thank you for the wonderful support from your staff. The Room and the in-room Onsen were truly excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I left completely full (I ate too much, haha). With the Diamond benefit of late check-out, I was able to take my time and truly unwind. Thank you very much. This Accommodation is now on my list of places I want to visit again!

    It truly deserves its high ratings.

    This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again if I have the chance. From check-in onward, the staff’s service was excellent. The Room had a wonderful balance of wood flooring and tatami mats, which was very relaxing. The bath was, needless to say, outstanding.

    Exceptional, high-level hospitality.

    I stayed here back when it was the former Houso and remember seeing a well-known young shogi player at the time. This time, I stayed at Miyu after its full renovation, and the hospitality was outstanding—I felt truly comfortable throughout. The Room layout was excellent, and I was able to relax at ease. The cuisine, with Western-inspired presentation, enhanced the flavors even more. The seasoning was refined and lightly seasoned, and everything was delicious. I hope many others will experience this level of satisfaction as well.

    This is the best Hotel I have ever stayed at.

    Based on Reviews, we made a Reservation at Dogo Miyu in Dogo Onsen. The Hotel staff’s attentiveness was outstanding. We accidentally walked into the neighboring Hotel first; even though our car arrived, the staff there ignored us. Thankfully, we realized it was the wrong place without anyone noticing. When we arrived at Miyu, two staff members came right away and even moved our car for us. They carefully explained the walking route to Dogo Onsen Honkan, and the yukata change of clothes we had requested before going out was properly shared among the staff. The Hotel was very clean with a calm interior design. The open-air bath in our Room was, of course, fed by Onsen water. Beer and soft drinks in the refrigerator were also free to enjoy. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. At departure, they kindly offered to take photos for us even though we hadn’t asked, which we really appreciated. We have stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan, but this was the first time we’ve experienced such thoughtful care from every member of staff. From Saitama it’s not easy to find opportunities to visit Dogo Onsen often, but if we get the chance again, we will definitely stay at Miyu. It truly was a wonderful Onsen Accommodation—thank you very much.

    Everything was wonderful.

    Choosing Dogo Miyu for my first visit to Dogo Onsen was absolutely the right decision. The Room had a wonderful atmosphere, and I was able to relax comfortably, and the meals were also delicious. (Because I don’t eat much, breakfast was a bit too much for me and I’m sorry I couldn’t finish it. I tried a little of everything, and every dish was truly delicious.) Above all, the staff’s hospitality was outstanding. It was extremely hot during our stay, and one of my family members became unwell, but we are very grateful for all your thoughtful care and support. When we come back to Dogo Onsen, we will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

    I like a clean and tidy atmosphere.

    On my previous trip to Dogo, I stayed at the neighboring Hotel, but I think this one is higher quality. The cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, and service were all excellent. I will stay here again.

    A Thoughtful, Relaxing Space

    I was very satisfied. Above all, your thoughtful hospitality was wonderful. Both the bath and the Room were truly relaxing spaces. The meals were delicious, but many of the vegetables were served as a mousse, and I would have liked a bit more texture. Still, I enjoyed everything very much. Thank you.

    The property was very clean, and the staff’s friendly greetings and smiles were wonderful, so I felt comfortable even traveling solo. Since I stayed during hot weather, the drinks in the refrigerator were complimentary. I also appreciated that when I mentioned I can’t drink alcohol during the explanation, they kindly swapped the beer for a drink of my choice. The top-floor lounge with panoramic city views and the lounge behind the first-floor reception each had a different atmosphere, and I enjoyed both. I was also happy that complimentary drinks were available freely in both locations. As a solo guest there was no dinner plan, but breakfast—especially the fish—was delicious. There was also a fun tasting of different mandarin orange juices. The open-air bath in my Room was always at a perfect temperature and felt great—ideal for rinsing off after getting a little sweaty. I could even see Matsuyama Castle from my Room balcony, and truly enjoyed my trip to Dogo Onsen and Matsuyama.

    Two guests (mother and child)

    Dogo lets you enjoy a nice sense of travel without going too far, so my mother and I regularly visit different Ryokan there. This place struck the right balance in every way—Room, meals, Facility, baths, and service—and I understood why it’s rated so highly. At dinner, I ordered roasted green tea and noticed the lovely teapot that was placed on the table, so I mentioned it. A staff member—whose earnest effort suggested they were still new—said “Thank you” and left, then came back to tell me, “This teapot is Hasami ware from Nagasaki.” It made me feel they are well trained. I also thought that next time they’re asked about it, they’ll be able to answer—and take even more interest in those details. In every respect, their approach felt pleasantly professional without being overly familiar. The Room layout was also comfortable and easy to move around in. I visited the top-floor bath twice; by chance it was private both times so I could relax at my own pace. The lounge also had ice cream, snacks, and drinks to help cool down afterward. I think this is one of the Ryokan I’d recommend to others.

    First Dogo Onsen

    It was a quiet, clean Accommodation, not far from either Dogo Onsen Station or Haikara Street. Our Room was a Deluxe Room. It was lovely—simple and uncluttered, with nothing unnecessary. I initially thought the mattress might be a bit soft, but once I lay down it didn’t bother me, and I woke up feeling great in the morning. We only had breakfast, but we were satisfied with both the quality and the portion size. Mandarin orange juice is delicious no matter where you drink it in Ehime.

    Your First Dogo Onsen Experience

    We stayed here for my girlfriend’s birthday! Both the cake and flowers we requested were wonderful, and the staff were excellent. It was a shame that the Plan with meals was fully booked, but next time we visit Dogo Onsen, we’d like to stay again with a Plan that includes meals.

    Excellent.

    My grandmother loves this Accommodation, and this is our fourth stay. The Room and the Onsen are relaxing, and it’s comfortable even for my elderly grandmother. She said the ice cream after the Onsen was the perfect size and very delicious. And the breakfast is amazing! We also love that you value ingredients from Ehime. We will stay again.     A relaxing accommodation

    It was a suite Room on the 6th floor. We could see Matsuyama Castle in the distance, and the open-air bath in the Room was clean and beautiful, so we were able to relax and take our time. The staff kindly spoke to us, which also helped us feel at ease. The sea bream rice for dinner and breakfast were both very delicious. We also received a set of fluffy Imabari towels as a Diamond benefit. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

    Moved by the warm hospitality

    Although this is a relatively new Accommodation and not particularly spacious or luxurious, the Room furnishings, hospitality, and above all the cuisine were exceptional. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful. One suggestion: the observation lounge has a great view and complimentary drinks, but no alcohol. I understand it may be considered unsafe at such a high location, but in that case, how about offering sparkling wine or beer in the first-floor library instead? Top-tier Hotels always have this, so please consider it. We would love to visit again.

    Wonderful Accommodation

    Conveniently located within walking distance of Dogo Onsen Station. The Accommodation is new and very pleasant. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The open-air bath in the Room was wonderful—I enjoyed it many times morning and night. I wished I could have stayed for two nights. The restaurant is small, so those who prefer a more glamorous atmosphere may find it a bit lacking, but I was very satisfied because the food was delicious and I could enjoy drinks, so the ambiance didn’t matter much to me. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

    - We were very satisfied with both the scenic-view bath and the in-Room bath. The amenities were well stocked, which was great. - The meals were not overly large, beautifully presented, and made for a very satisfying stay.

    This Accommodation exceeded all expectations and was truly wonderful.

    Everything about our stay was exceptional—the Room, amenities, hospitality from the staff, and the meals. We reserved a suite, and when I noted that one of us uses a wheelchair, they called us and arranged a barrier-free Room (it wasn’t selectable on IKYU). On arrival, our car was valet-parked, and check-in was done in the Room with no waiting. The in-room amenities were beyond perfect, and the private open-air bath was also an Onsen—compact but wonderful. The public bath felt small, but since every Room has an open-air Onsen bath, it’s probably not really necessary. Meals were served in the dining area rather than in the Room, but it was modern and spacious, and everything was served at just the right pace—honestly even better. Not only did everything taste great; the tableware and presentation were beautiful as well. What stood out most was the extensive wine selection. This time I chose something affordable myself, but I wish I had asked the staff for recommendations. Lately many places have become more chain-like—looking good on the surface but lacking substance—but this Accommodation truly satisfied us for the first time in a while. We’d love to visit again.

    We had a stay that was perfect for our special occasion.

    All the staff’s hospitality was excellent. The meals were also very delicious, and I enjoyed the three-sake tasting set—ordering them separately would have been too much. The Room was Superior, but it was spacious and clean, and it was great to be able to see Matsuyama Castle from the balcony. I deducted one point because I couldn’t see it while soaking in the bath, but the bath itself was very comfortable. There was also a large public bath and a post-bath relaxation area, and I was happy that ice cream was all-you-can-eat. There was even an outdoor space as well, and the view from there was wonderful. Overall, I was very satisfied. The Accommodation itself is quiet, and aside from meals I hardly ran into other guests; seating at meals is spaced out too, which made it very comfortable. It’s an Accommodation I’d like to stay at again. Thank you very much.

    A luxury Hotel in a quiet Onsen town where you can relax in peace

    This was a wonderful Hotel in Dogo Onsen—located in the Onsen district yet offering a calm atmosphere where you can relax quietly. The Western-style meal was beautifully presented, delicious, and very satisfying. The staff, including those at the restaurant, were quiet and polished in their manner—exceptional service worthy of a luxury Hotel. Overall, the atmosphere throughout the stay was serene and extremely comfortable. The large public bath is somewhat small since this Hotel has open-air baths in each Room, but as this is Dogo, I felt it wouldn’t be an issue because you can visit nearby public baths such as Dogo Onsen Honkan. I would like to stay here again when I visit Dogo.

    A Memorable Birthday

    We stayed as a couple in an Onsen suite with an open-air bath for the first time to celebrate a 60th birthday. First of all, the views from this hilltop Accommodation were outstanding—we enjoyed a wonderful panorama of Matsuyama Castle in the distance from our room, the scenic bath, and also from the sky lounge and terrace next to it. Relaxing on the terrace after a bath with a drink from the sky lounge while taking in the view was simply perfect. The private open-air Onsen bath in our room was spacious as well, and we enjoyed it many times during our stay. At the main dining venue, we were impressed by the course meal featuring Ehime’s mountain and sea specialties. Each dish was delicate, thoughtfully prepared, and truly delicious. They also accommodated ingredients we had mentioned in advance that we do not eat. Neither of us drinks alcohol, but there was an excellent selection of non-alcoholic beverages, so we were able to enjoy ourselves fully. The staff’s attentive service was wonderful, and above all, they congratulated us with “Happy Birthday” many times during our stay—making it a truly memorable birthday. We would definitely love to return if we have another opportunity.
