The cuisine is excellent, but...

The concept of Soba French was overall wonderful, including the presentation. However, after the main dish, the dessert included warabi mochi and soba macarons in addition to ice cream and Foret Noire, which felt like too much. With alcohol already consumed, the sweet warabi mochi was a bit overwhelming. There seemed to be a slight gap between the excellence of the room and cuisine compared to the dining experience. Considering the Accommodation Fee, it would have been nice to have a welcome drink service as well.

Dear Mr./Ms. Yujawan, Thank you very much for staying with us. We also sincerely appreciate your kind words about our "Soba French," as well as the tableware and room. Regarding the dessert, we have noted your feedback about its portion size and taste, and we will share this with our head chef to reflect on future menu planning. As for the gap between the room, dining area, and cuisine, it may be noticeable due to renovations of a former ryokan. However, this has inspired us to creatively combine traditional Japanese elements like soba—one of Shinshu's signature ingredients—with authentic French cuisine in a bold approach. We plan to continue making gradual updates over time so that you can enjoy an even more refined experience at Kisumika in the future. Additionally, we are considering improvements such as welcome drinks to enhance overall guest satisfaction further. Thank you once again for sharing your valuable feedback with us.
