    The meals were excellent.

Both dinner and breakfast were great, with a wide variety at the buffet. Since we arrived late, the only available dinner start time was 8:00 PM, and the long lines at the buffet right after it opened were a downside. I wanted to skip items I didn’t want and line up for steak or tempura instead. When we mentioned that the chocolate-flavored ice cream had run out, staff overheard us and replenished it immediately. Inside the Facility, guests are expected to wear socks or go barefoot, which I felt a bit uncomfortable with (I received disposable slippers at the front desk). They also kindly provided extra face towels. Overall, I was satisfied with the staff’s service. Depending on the bus route, it stops at “Misen Plaza,” which is just a 1-minute walk from there. However, services are limited. The website only said to get off at “Main Gate,” so on our arrival day we ended up passing by. Since it was a hot day, I wish this information had been included.

    The Onsen was great.

I stayed here on a trip to the San’in region with a friend. The Room was spacious enough, and the two of us could relax comfortably. Since you take off your shoes at the entrance, it was nice to walk around barefoot inside the Accommodation. The Onsen water quality was great, and my skin felt smooth afterward. The Onsen is a bit hot, and I think it would be even more relaxing if the pillow area for resting your head in the lying bath were cool. All amenities were provided, including cleansing oil and face wash, so it was convenient to go to the large public bath empty-handed. There are five private baths, but perhaps because they are shared with the sister property next door, they were never available—whether in the late afternoon (around 5:00 PM), during dinner hours (around 7:00 PM), or early in the morning before breakfast (around 6:30 AM). I couldn’t use them even once. Since it was Obon season and nearly fully booked, that may be unavoidable. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and considering the price, I was satisfied with what was offered. Dinner is served in two time slots; both were very crowded. The dining area is also small, so even just picking up what you want required waiting in long lines, and I couldn’t eat at a relaxed pace. Breakfast has entry times set every 30 minutes, which helped spread out guests; I didn’t have to wait as much and could enjoy my meal more calmly. The staff at both reception and the restaurant worked efficiently; even when busy they were kind and helpful, which left a very positive impression. Considering it was a last-minute Reservation during Obon season, it offered good value overall and I was satisfied. Thank you very much.

Very satisfied. I’m a repeat guest.

The interior features calm, wood-grain tones. Personally, I love it. With tatami throughout the building, you can enjoy the feel of the tatami as you walk around in the socks provided. Inside the Room, there are three separate water stations: one for washing hands at the toilet, one standard washbasin, and one for drinking water—surprisingly well equipped. The Room is also spaciously designed. Meal times are staggered, so it never feels crowded; you can choose your dishes and dine at a relaxed pace. For dinner, I personally recommend the crab and steak; for breakfast, the DIY seafood bowl and pudding are great. As for Reviews saying the private bath was dirty, that comes down to individual guest manners. If it’s free to use without a Reservation, then there’s no issue. Thank you for having us.

    It was amazing!

First of all, the property was very clean and well maintained, and the cute rabbit decorations placed throughout were adorable. At the buffet, staff promptly refilled dishes as soon as they started to run low, and everything was well stocked until the end. There were many Japanese dishes, and they were delicious. Even though it was summer, there was all-you-can-eat crab, and rubber gloves were provided to help keep your hands clean. Another great point was that staff always asked, “May I clear these?” before taking away empty plates. There were also five free private baths, and because turnover was quick, we could use one almost immediately whenever we wanted. For a late-night snack, there was free ramen and a wide variety of ice cream treats such as monaka wafers and chocolate bars, as well as cider. It was wonderful to see it lively with guests even late at night. The staff were kind and very attentive—this was a fantastic Ryokan that truly made us want to come back. It’s my top recommendation so far. Thank you very much.

It was crowded on the first day of the three-day holiday weekend in July, but overall we had a comfortable stay. It was disappointing that the carbonated bath in the private hot spring was out of order. It was also nice that it was within walking distance of Izumo Taisha Shrine.

    First Stay

On our trip as a family of four, we made a Reservation for a Room with four beds and had plenty of space. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, so everyone could choose what they liked, which was very popular. The private baths were also well equipped, and we enjoyed the Onsen as well.

This property is in an ideal location for early-morning visits to Izumo Taisha Shrine. There’s also a FamilyMart convenience store very close by, which was extremely handy. During our stay, we enjoyed five types of private open-air baths, and felt refreshed both mentally and physically. The rabbit gaufrettes provided in the Room were perfect as travel souvenirs, and we also discovered the appeal of Izumo Winery. My first trip to Izumo left a strong impression with its lush green rural scenery—it was a truly mystical town with many different birds flying about. There are still so many places in Shimane I’d like to visit, so I’m already looking forward to coming back!

This Hotel offers satisfying service and an enjoyable Onsen experience.

We took a trip to Izumo on the Sunrise Izumo for my son’s birthday and stayed at Tsukiyo no Usagi, conveniently located near Izumo Taisha Shrine. Although we had informed the Hotel in advance that it was my son’s birthday and decided not to order a cake or anything special, they still prepared our dinner seating, and we felt their hospitality was exceptional. All of the staff were pleasant and welcoming, and we were very satisfied with our stay. We would love to stay here again when we visit Izumo. The Onsen was, of course, excellent as well! The in-room coffee is made by grinding whole beans—perfect for coffee lovers.

The amenities were well stocked, and I felt there was thoughtful attention to detail throughout. The meals seem best suited for families with small children. Overall, it felt like the initial investment and operating costs are focused more on amenities and the Facility.

    Beautiful

Close to Izumo Taisha, and it felt nostalgic to have coffee beans and a hand grinder in the Room. At home I use a fully automatic machine from whole beans, but it was fun to grind them by hand again after a long time. Maybe because I went at an off-peak time, I was able to enjoy the large public bath slowly on my own, and I could relax in the open-air bath while leaning back comfortably. Both dinner and breakfast were freshly prepared at the live kitchen, with all-you-can-eat crab. I also enjoyed making my own seafood bowl, so I was very satisfied. The tatami flooring throughout the building was clean and beautiful, but I would have liked indoor slippers to wear inside.

    悲観論者

Considering the value for money, the Facility was satisfactory. Everything else was at a level that would make me never stay again.

This was my first stay at a Kyoritsu Group Hotel, and speaking purely in terms of value for money: - The Facility is good for the price. - Because the Room has many small nooks and tight spaces, cleaning doesn’t seem thorough. When you put things down, a lot of dust gets stirred up. I only figured out how to turn the air conditioner on/off when I was leaving. - Whenever I asked for something, every staff member looked annoyed. I’ve never experienced an Accommodation like this. This is the biggest reason I will never use the Kyoritsu Group again. - The Onsen water quality and temperature are comfortable, but there were many particles floating in the bathwater, like a public day-use Onsen. The staff should try it themselves—they would understand how unpleasant it is. - There was nothing tasty at the buffet. Before dinner I washed my whole body in the bath, but once I entered the restaurant, my entire body absorbed the smell of grilling steak. As a result, I ended up washing my whole body again after eating. The staff should try it themselves—they would understand how unpleasant it is. (Satisfaction) Even based on location alone, I can accept what we paid this time. However, in every other respect, this was one of the worst Accommodations for value for money that I have stayed at in decades. I will never use a Kyoritsu Group Accommodation again.

I made a Reservation based on a friend’s recommendation. I was a little worried it might be more geared toward younger guests, but there were plenty of people around our age as well. It wasn’t noisy, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay at a leisurely pace. The meals offered a wide variety and were very delicious. The dining staff were efficient and pleasant, which made the experience even better. However, considering the number of Rooms, the large public bath felt a bit small. Also, I think brighter lighting in the bath area would make it feel cleaner. Being able to take off our shoes throughout the building—with no slippers provided—was very comfortable and relaxing. I’d like to recommend this place to my friends as well.

I’d like to stay here again.

The location was excellent—within walking distance of Izumo Taisha Shrine—so it was great to be able to take a morning stroll. The Room was also clean and comfortable. Overall, I was very satisfied and would like to stay again, but one thing was disappointing: I arrived about an hour before check-in and went into the lobby planning to sit and wait, but a staff member coldly told me only, “Check-in starts at 3:00 PM.”

    Highly satisfied

We stayed for two nights while sightseeing at Izumo Taisha. We thoroughly enjoyed the Room, the Onsen, and the meals. The private Onsen was available right away without any waiting. The sashimi and steak were especially good. Izumo Taisha is also nearby and within walking distance. We would like to stay again.

    Highly satisfied

I made a Reservation at this Accommodation for my visit to Izumo Taisha Shrine. I chose the plan with dinner and breakfast, and it was absolutely the right choice. Although it was a buffet, there was such an impressive selection of luxurious dishes that I couldn’t decide what to try. The fisherman’s rice bowl at breakfast was especially outstanding. If I have a chance to visit Shimane again, I’d like to stay at this Accommodation once more.

    I am a reporter.

I’m a repeat guest and have stayed here about 6–7 times. It’s a relaxing Accommodation that feels like coming home. This time, I visited again with my mother (she will turn 88 next month). Overall, there were no issues, but I’ve always felt the bed height is not very suitable for elderly guests. Other than that, there were no problems. I look forward to staying with you again.

    It was amazing!

I stayed on April 5. First, the welcome drink—mango vinegar—was delicious. The entire Accommodation had a consistent Japanese style, and even the hallways were all tatami. Even things like insect spray and the doorbell were neatly placed in wooden boxes—such attention to detail. The buffet meals offered an incredible variety, with plenty of locally sourced items. There was even salmon roe and sashimi at breakfast, so much so that I skipped going out for a seafood bowl on the way home. When I opened the shoji screens by the open-air bath, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom—it was so moving I almost cried. It’s also very close to Izumo Taisha Shrine, and the staff were kind. We traveled as a group of four, and everyone thanked me for making the Reservation. The after-bath ice cream was fantastic too. My only regret is that I ate too much at the buffet and couldn’t try the late-night soba. I’d love to visit again.

It was great to have a variety of dishes at the buffet. The sashimi was especially delicious. There was a sewage smell coming from the bathroom drain. At the dining venue, there was a staff member who did not clear empty dishes at all. I brought them myself, but it was a bit disappointing that they took them without saying anything. For the quality expected at JPY 20,000 per night, it felt somewhat disappointing.

This was my second stay. The last time, the staff were wonderful and I enjoyed the private bath, so this time I invited a friend to stay with me. Once again, I had a very comfortable stay. Everyone always greeted us with a smile, which made me very happy. The meals were delicious just like last time. I’d love to come again. Thank you very much.

Enjoy Five Private Hot Spring Baths

I stayed here when I visited Izumo Taisha for my first shrine visit of the year. I learned about it through an acquaintance’s recommendation, and I was excited as my expectations grew from the photos before the day. The interior has a modern Japanese style, and it was a beautiful Accommodation that left me with the impression of “how cute” with its rabbit motif. Since there are private baths, please try both the open-air bath and the silky bath at least once. Both dinner and breakfast were truly satisfying—meals you can enjoy with your eyes as well. I happened to chat with another guest, learned about Kyoritsu Resort Hotels across The whole country, and felt I’d like to use them again in the future. That person also said they were looking forward to the private baths. I recommend enjoying them with the mindset of trying them all. By the way, when I asked the front desk for a new bath set, they kindly responded with a smile—“Of course”—which made me very satisfied. Not only the room but also the entire building is wonderful, so please take time to enjoy it. Highly recommended as a very satisfying page in your Izumo sightseeing trip!

    Thoughtful Accommodation

Stayed with friends. The Accommodation was very clean. The Onsen’s outdoor bath was on the hot side, but since we went at a time and temperature that suited us and didn’t overlap much with other guests, the large public bath felt like it was reserved just for us—such a relaxing experience. We were very satisfied with the buffet-style meals, especially with the wide selection of seafood, which is exactly what we like. We were amazed by the chocolate ice cream and rare cheesecake ice cream. There seemed to be bits of sponge cake or perhaps gateau chocolate inside—such impressive attention to detail. Everything was delicious. If I could suggest one improvement: the placement of the coffee cups. Because of this layout, even though there are two coffee machines, it’s so hard to grab cups that both machines can’t really be used at once. A small change to the flow would likely make things smoother. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

    A Relaxing Accommodation

My first solo trip to Izumo Taisha, and this accommodation was the perfect choice! The staff were very pleasant, and the bath included a private natural onsen, which felt like a great bonus. If I had to point out one thing, while the meals were delicious, during my multiple night stay, the menu was exactly the same as the previous day, which was a bit disappointing. (I noticed another family staying for multiple nights sharing similar thoughts among themselves.) However, this is an accommodation I would recommend to friends. I look forward to planning my next visit here. Thank you very much!

Satisfied overall, but opinions on the restaurant vary.

Stayed from January 18th to 20th for the first time. Below is a summary of the positive aspects and areas of concern. ◯ Positive Aspects ① Cleanliness of both the room and shared spaces. The room had a coffee mill and coffee beans, which my 4-year-old daughter loved. We enjoyed delicious coffee before checking out. This feature could be highlighted more prominently. ② Private Onsen Baths We used "Iwa no Yu" and "Urushi no Yu" on the first and second days respectively. Depending on other guests, we were able to use them without waiting. Enjoying the bath as a family was fun, leaving our skin smooth and soft—this alone greatly enhanced our satisfaction. ③ Buffet The seafood selection was excellent, especially the whelks, which my wife enjoyed so much that she went back for seconds multiple times in the morning. ④ Hospitality Staff at the restaurant were particularly attentive, engaging with our daughter by inviting her to pick out bread together, making her very happy during our stay. ◯ Areas of Concern ① Footwear Inside the Facility After depositing outdoor shoes at check-in, guests are required to walk around in socks or non-slip tabi socks throughout the facility. At restaurants, possibly due to cooking activities, floors felt slippery; returning to rooms afterward raised hygiene concerns as well. If slippers or alternative footwear are available for loaning out besides tabi socks, it would be helpful if this was announced during check-in since some guests might find this an issue. ② Buffet Hygiene & Menu Variety While self-service allows freedom in choosing dishes you like best—on busy days certain sections became crowded; cleanliness issues such as dirty tongs or ice cream scoops stood out (though conditions improved slightly by day two). Additionally having nearly identical menus across consecutive days lacked variety; incorporating different options could enhance guest experience further! Lastly replacing melamine tableware with ceramic alternatives might elevate overall dining impressions significantly!

    We had a wonderful time.

The accommodation was beautiful, and the staff at the ryokan were very welcoming. The hallways were covered with tatami mats, allowing us to walk barefoot and feel a sense of comfort like being at home. The room had a hand-cranked coffee mill, so we could enjoy freshly ground coffee, which was a big plus. The buffet meals for both breakfast and dinner offered excellent menus with so many options that it was impossible to try everything. We also enjoyed the variety of private baths, which made for an interesting experience. If I may suggest one improvement, it would be great to have hooks for clothes and towel hangers in the dressing area of the private baths to temporarily place wet towels. It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much to everyone at the ryokan!

It was great to enjoy various types of hot springs.

Close to Izumo Taisha, the accommodation offers excellent access. The interior and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The meals were delicious and satisfying. When I accidentally spilled my drink during dinner, the staff kindly assisted me. At the dining area, I wore the accommodation's tabi socks, which were slightly slippery, so caution might be needed—especially for small children who might run around and fall. The onsen featured several private baths with different atmospheres; I was able to enjoy three of them. Including the large public bath, all baths provided a very relaxing experience. The staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. They also stored our large luggage before check-in and after check-out, which was very helpful. Additionally, there were various services such as post-bath ice cream and probiotic drinks as well as late-night ramen noodles that made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you so much!

    Moonlit Rabbit

Five small private family baths are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Thanks to everyone's cooperation, we were able to enjoy all of them. The themed baths, such as the cola bath, were a lot of fun. Despite it being the year-end season, we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet-style meals with plenty of options.

    Hmm

This was my first time staying here. The private bath was very pleasant to use. The meals were buffet-style, but there wasn't anything particularly outstanding about them. However, I found the dining chairs to be too low, making it difficult to eat comfortably. The futon in the Room was also a bit low, which might make it hard for elderly guests to get up easily. It would be great if this could be reviewed again.

    Dinner Time

We traveled from afar and planned our schedule to visit Izumo Taisha. However, our flight was delayed, and lunch was pushed back. When we arrived at the hotel at 5:30 PM, we were told that only 5:30 PM or 5:45 PM dinner slots were available due to a group reservation. Considering the Kamiari Festival attracts many visitors, it would have been helpful if the dinner times had been communicated in advance or made reservation-based. With a set schedule, being told there are limited options after having a late lunch feels unreasonable. A simple notification during earlier phone calls could have resolved this issue. It’s frustrating and unpleasant. Since this is an annual event, improvements should be made—especially with a 90-minute dining limit. Feeling irritated like this makes it hard to enjoy visiting the shrine properly.
