    Stayed for the Nagao...

    Stayed for the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival. Although my check-in was much later than planned due to watching the fireworks, I was welcomed without any issues. The room was upgraded, which made me very happy, and breakfast offered a wide variety of options. It wasn’t crowded during my visit, so I could enjoy a relaxed meal. Check-out time was flexible, allowing me to relax in the room even after breakfast. One minor issue was that the refrigerator in the room didn’t cool very well, but everything else was great. As mentioned in other reviews, there is no folding mirror provided, so I recommend bringing one if needed.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    During the rainy season, I was worried about the weather, but I was able to enjoy the view of Tateyama from Amaharashi Coast without encountering rain. I was also delighted to see Tateyama from my Room at the Hotel. The staff at the front desk were courteous, and I was satisfied with everything, including the morning newspaper and carefully prepared breakfast. The location is convenient for visiting stations and tourist spots, and I would love to stay here again when visiting Toyama.

    Surrounding Noise

    This was one of my several stays for business trips. The staff's service was excellent, and I enjoyed a relaxing breakfast. However, on the second night of my two-night stay, I had trouble sleeping due to footsteps from the floor above until around midnight. After that stopped, there were loud noises from the neighboring room, possibly from someone returning late. I hadn't experienced this before, so perhaps no one stayed in nearby rooms during my previous visits. I hope to have a more restful sleep next time.

    Favorite Places to Visit in Takaoka and Himi

    The staff's courteous service always impresses me no matter when I stay. The breakfast is delicious and delightful. This time, I was exhausted due to a hectic schedule, but the 11:00 AM checkout allowed me to relax and recover. Thank you!

    Impression of poor management

    The combined bathroom, sink, and toilet setup is understandable due to its age, but the black mold on the caulking around the sink, bathtub handrails, soap holder, and bathtub apron, as well as red mold on the curtains, was unacceptable. New Otani? It was also surprising that anyone could access guest floors without checks by transferring at the 7th floor. New Otani? Disappointing for a Reservation made through IKYU.

    Our family of five stayed in one Room, and it was a Japanese-style Room that made everyone very happy. The Hotel was clean, the staff were kind, and it was truly wonderful. Thank you so much for a delightful stay!

    Everything you need is provided.

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. It is close to the station, and you can walk to restaurants and tourist spots in the surrounding area. The Facility is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The breakfast included many local specialties from Toyama, and it was very delicious. The trout sushi I ordered at the front desk as a souvenir was also very tasty. I would definitely like to use it again when I visit Takaoka.

    Ordinary old Hotel

    It seems like a Hotel for wedding receptions. The Room shows noticeable signs of age, with scratches here and there... The food was nothing special to mention. It felt like the only advantage was the low price. Perhaps it couldn't be helped since I chose it based on the price. I absolutely cannot recommend it for family use. There was a restaurant inside, but it was unusually expensive, so we ate outside (breakfast included). The name is similar to Tokyo's New Otani, but the content is completely different. There are occasionally Hotels with such names in rural areas.

    Stunning view

    I used it before for a betrothal gift, but it was my first time staying. As expected, it was very good. The view from the room was amazing, including the Shinminato Bridge, Tateyama, and the back of the Great Buddha. Since it is a city hotel, as expected, there were fewer souvenirs, but I was able to buy them at PA or roadside stations. It would have been even better if there was an introduction to where to obtain or buy the delicious local gourmet served at breakfast.

    Convenient for Kanazawa sightseeing, close to the station.

    I stayed for one night on a short trip to Hokuriku. I booked the cheapest single room with breakfast, but they upgraded me at check-in. The room was comfortable with an automatic coffee server and an electric massage chair, but there was no sleepwear, so I slept in my underwear. The breakfast included local ingredients, and I felt the quantity and quality were sufficient. The next day, I toured Kanazawa, and since it was close to the station (Takaoka Station to Kanazawa Station by JR takes 40 minutes) and the accommodation was reasonably priced, I think it was a good value choice. The only downside was the lack of a large bath.

    Thank you very much.

    I stayed here for the first time in two years. I participated in the Takaoka Manyo Recitation Society, and it was very helpful to be close to Kojō Park. For breakfast, there was Himi Udon, which was delicious and satisfying. If I can participate again next year, I would like to stay here again.
