    We were able to relax and enjoy some quiet time just for the two of us!

    I planned to share the Room name as part of a birthday message for him, and the Ryokan kindly helped by arranging a bouquet in the Room. Then, on the day, they upgraded our Room, which also made my message to him even more special, and it became a time that brought us even closer (lol). The staff were very kind, and since the bath was private to our Room only, we were able to relax and enjoy our time together. I would definitely like to stay again! Thank you very much.

    Excellent meals

    Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding—everything we tried was delicious. The amenities could use a bit more thought and improvement. The Room was also a little disappointing, as some of the wallpaper was peeling.

    Delighted

    We stayed here to see Mt. Fuji. We were worried about the weather, but it cleared up and Mt. Fuji appeared beautifully. Our stay at “Futari Towani En” made my wife absolutely delighted—she says we’ll definitely be back. If it makes her happy, I’ll gladly do the driving again. A truly outstanding Accommodation that I highly recommend.

    The food was excellent, and the staff were very attentive.

    The Room was of course wonderful, but above all, the food was absolutely delicious. I occasionally dine at upscale restaurants for work and the like, but with each dish you served, I could really tell how much care and time had gone into it. It was so good that it made me realize it had been a while since I’d eaten food this delicious. Also, the staff—especially the younger team members—were very dedicated and attentive in their service. Thanks to their pleasant manner and the great atmosphere, we were able to enjoy a truly wonderful dining experience. Thank you very much.

    Subject to weather conditions

    We chose this Accommodation for the views of the starry sky and Mt. Fuji. Since it depends on the weather, there is nothing that can be done, but if you cannot see the stars or Mt. Fuji, the appeal is reduced by half. Unfortunately, it was cloudy on the day we arrived and we could not see either, but the weather improved the next day and we were glad to be able to see Mt. Fuji. The meals were excellent, with great attention paid to the tableware, and the Room was clean and comfortable.

    Nice and cozy resort

    This was our second visit to the resort. The meals are always excellent. The room could use a bit more thorough cleaning, as we noticed dust around the floral decorations. The onsen was wonderful as well.

    Every dish at both dinner and breakfast was delicious, and we were able to relax at our leisure in the spacious detached guest room, making for a truly wonderful stay.

    A very relaxing Hotel

    Because the Hotel name is a bit unique, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was a wonderful Hotel exactly as everyone’s Review ratings said. The Hotel staff were efficient, and the service was excellent. From the Room, we could see Shimizu City in the distance and even Mt. Fuji, and the large bath was very relaxing. Each dish showed the chef’s creativity; not only did everything taste great, it was also a pleasure to look at. Thank you very much.

    Wonderful Accommodation

    On a clear day, we could see a magnificent Mt. Fuji from the Accommodation. The Room was very clean and well maintained, so we had a comfortable stay. The underfloor heating was perfect for someone like me who gets cold easily. The meals were delicious, and all the staff were very pleasant. The only disappointment was that the hot spring was not free-flowing from the source. If I have the chance, I would like to visit again.

    The meals were satisfactory, and the Room was relaxing.

    We drove round-trip from central Tokyo and stayed for one night. It takes about three hours each way, so it does feel quite far… Even on weekdays the expressways tend to be congested, and in that sense North Kanto or the Tohoku area—which are actually farther in distance—can feel closer. For a family of three, including meals plus a little alcohol, it came to JPY 50,000 per person. The Room has a condominium-style layout, so it’s fairly relaxing for families. The semi-open-air bath in the Room is very pleasant. The food is tasty, though not particularly surprising—solid and reliable. We mainly ordered sake, and they offer several options from Shizuoka Prefecture. The Facility and Room felt somewhat aged. As for service, the staff who seemed to have been with the company for less than a year left a good impression—they didn’t come across as overly scripted or manual-driven. On the other hand, those who appeared more experienced did not provide especially warm hospitality. They advertise good views from the Accommodation, but the power lines right in front of the building were a bit disappointing. I’m unsure whether I would visit again.

    A Stay Blessed with Beautiful Weather

    [Staff] From check-in and being shown to the room, to meal service and check-out, the staff were attentive and warmly welcoming. Their sense of distance was comfortable, and I felt at ease throughout my stay. [Meals] The menu focused on seafood overall and was highly satisfying. The lobster rice porridge served at the end was especially flavorful and memorable. That said, the course is quite filling, so I was already full by the time it arrived. I declined the ochazuke prepared as a late-night snack; if portion adjustments were available, more guests might be able to enjoy everything through to the end. [Scenery] I was able to fully enjoy the starry sky from the terrace as hoped. The sky in particular—facing away from the sea—was stunning, which really highlighted the value of having a terrace. On the other hand, visibility from inside the room felt somewhat limited; if stargazing is your main purpose, viewing from the terrace is recommended. The sunset could be seen from the room. [Points for Improvement] - Dust buildup was noticeable on filters for the air conditioner, hair dryer, and air purifier. Given that this is a high-priced Accommodation, more thorough attention to detail in cleaning would further improve satisfaction. - The lobster sashimi served at dinner was slightly too cold, making it harder to appreciate its flavor. Serving it at a temperature that best brings out its quality would be preferable. - I arrived by car; however, merging at the bottom of the slope when leaving Facility felt difficult due to heavy traffic and a steep grade. If possible, installing a convex mirror or similar would make departures feel safer.

    Recommended accommodation for a comfortable stay

    I stayed for the first night of a 2-night, 3-day trip in late November. To sum it up, I had a very pleasant stay. From the warm welcome upon arrival, parking guidance, check-in process, to being shown to the room, everything was done with natural grace that reflected the charm of a great accommodation. Each room had a lovely name (though I found it slightly embarrassing, my wife thought it was wonderful), and the design was very clean and elegant. The room featured preserved flowers created by a famous designer (these were also displayed throughout the facility—perhaps part of their concept?), which might be subject to personal taste—I didn’t mind them at all. The bath did not have a large public bath but instead offered an open-air bath attached to our room. The tub was spacious enough for two adults to relax comfortably. During our soak, we experienced an unexpected surprise as rain stopped and we saw a triple rainbow—an unforgettable moment! The meals were exquisite Japanese-style creative kaiseki cuisine. During dinner, we received an additional dish from the hostess herself and even had the chance to greet her personally—it left quite an impression on us. This time staying at Futari Towani En felt like being cared for in every detail by such thoughtful staff members who greeted us with warm smiles throughout our stay. At checkout, we even received potted plants as gifts from the hostess as well as commemorative photos taken by staff in the parking lot—a truly delightful experience until the very end. I look forward to visiting again during another season! Thank you so much!

    It was an accommodation perfect for a special occasion.

    From the initial welcome to the final farewell, we were able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay. The bath was spacious, offering a view of Mount Fuji, providing a truly calming experience. The meals included a special dish from the hostess, allowing us to indulge in luxurious cuisine. The staff provided exceptionally courteous service throughout our stay.

    It was relaxing.

    We stayed here to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. As mentioned in the reviews, it was a wonderful accommodation that provided great relaxation and made for a perfect anniversary. During the wait at reception, we were served matcha and pudding, and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. The sashimi, in particular, was visually stunning as well. The bath was spacious with just the right temperature, allowing us to fully enjoy a truly relaxing time. One disappointment was that on the day we arrived it was cloudy, so we couldn’t see Mount Fuji from the open-air bath or enjoy stargazing at night. The next morning it rained continuously, so Mount Fuji remained hidden both days of our stay. However, after the rain stopped, we saw a beautiful rainbow arch from our room which made up for not seeing Mount Fuji! The polite service provided by the young staff members was also excellent. We would love to stay here again on another special occasion! Thank you very much!

    Moved by the stars

    Although it was late September, perhaps due to the warm weather, only the peak of Mt. Fuji was visible. However, the view from the spacious bath was wonderful, and the slightly hot water was just right for me (though my wife found it a bit too hot). The sunset in West Izu was as beautiful and majestic as ever. While the power lines were a bit disappointing, they were unavoidable. Dinner was extremely delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Although there was a lot of food, it tasted so good that we finished everything without leaving any leftovers. I have never been interested in astronomy before, but since I had the chance after dinner, I went to the star terrace to enjoy some stargazing while feeling the night breeze. As I focused my eyes on the sky, I was amazed by how countless stars seemed scattered across it—it truly felt like a planetarium experience. Regarding facilities: for an accommodation of this class, not having a security box is disappointing; although we were directed to use lockable drawers instead, they didn’t seem sufficient for this purpose in my opinion. Additionally, while art flowers displayed throughout seemed mismatched with the atmosphere of this accommodation (which may be subjective), they might not appeal to everyone’s taste. We also had to be cautious about not disturbing stink bugs during our stay! Nevertheless, thanks to attentive staff with their excellent service responses along with delicious meals and breathtaking views—our experience felt extraordinary and relaxing overall. The potted plant souvenir we received is still thriving at home today—thank you very much!

    Enjoy Mount Fuji and the stars

    A small accommodation with few rooms, featuring beautiful floral decorations in the room. From the room's terrace, you can enjoy views of Suruga Bay and Mount Fuji. Although we were looking forward to stargazing at night, it was cloudy during our stay, so we couldn't see the stars. However, the next morning, we enjoyed soaking in the onsen while admiring Mount Fuji. The onsen's water quality left our skin feeling smooth, and the temperature was just right for a comfortable experience. Both dinner and breakfast were traditional Japanese meals made with fresh ingredients and offered in a wide variety—deliciously prepared. During dinner, the hostess kindly greeted us; thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. We are grateful to all staff members for their care during our stay.

    It was an accommodation with warm hospitality where you can relax and unwind.

    Although it was unfortunately drizzling and cloudy on the day of our stay, the next morning blessed us with clear skies, offering a perfect view of Mount Fuji and an amazing location! The accommodation was thoughtfully arranged to ensure privacy without direct views from neighboring residences, allowing us to relax in a private atmosphere. All the meals were delicious, with beautifully presented dishes that were visually enjoyable as well. We were also satisfied with the option to choose between Japanese and Western-style breakfast. If I had to mention something, having a hair iron available and access to Netflix or similar services on the TV would have made it perfect. I genuinely look forward to staying here again!

    Excellent except for one point.

    From the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches like welcome sweets and late-night snacks, the hospitality was truly exceptional, and I was very satisfied with the "people" aspect. Regarding meals, I deeply appreciated how they accommodated my allergies and other preferences. The room was impeccably clean with excellent facilities, and the onsen provided a truly special space where I could relax at any time of day or night. While not a major complaint, one downside was that there were many insects on the terrace, making it unusable. During my stay in the rainy season, large centipedes about 20cm long and fist-sized bugs were constantly present on the terrace, preventing me from stepping outside. Although this is an inevitable consequence of being surrounded by nature and somewhat understandable, it did leave me slightly disappointed given my expectations. However, thanks to their outstanding service that made me forget such minor inconveniences, I left feeling extremely satisfied overall. I would definitely love to visit again.

    It was a wonderful date.

    Finally, my long-awaited stay at the accommodation came true. It was mid-June, just after the rainy season began. Although it was rainy in the morning, by the time I arrived at the accommodation, the sky started to clear up and it became warm and humid. The staff kindly accommodated my request to enjoy the welcome drink on the terrace and even took a photo of us—such a touching gesture! The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view. I had hoped for clearer skies, and just before dinner, we were treated to a stunning view of Mount Fuji bathed in sunset colors. The restaurant staff opened up their roll curtains for us to enjoy this breathtaking sight—another example of their exceptional hospitality that made our time truly special. The hostess's thoughtful gestures added warmth to our stay, including an evening snack of rice balls with broth—a comforting touch that left us feeling cared for. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options individually tailored—a perfect way to start our day. Just before checking out, Mount Fuji appeared once again as if bidding us farewell—it truly made this an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this accommodation as a must-visit destination!

    The Room, bath, food, and service were all satisfying. Unfortunately, it was raining that day, so I couldn't see Mt. Fuji while enjoying the bath, which was disappointing. However, I was still very pleased with my stay and glad I came. I hope to visit again on a sunny day if I have the chance.

    Suruga Bay appears like a serene lake with Mount Fuji towering in the distance, offering breathtaking views from both the room terrace and the private bath. The private bath was spacious, allowing for a relaxing soak with perfectly warm water. Fresh orange juice and cold tea were provided in the Room, along with beer in the refrigerator, which was delightful to enjoy after bathing. The meals were delicious, and I had a truly satisfying and relaxing time. Lastly, I appreciated that there were no obstructive power lines affecting the beautiful view from Yui Terrace or "Wish Upon a Star" Terrace. Offering drink services at the lobby lounge could enhance their usage even more. I look forward to visiting again—thank you!

    We visited this accommodation in March for my wife's birthday and had such a wonderful experience that we returned this month for my birthday. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji from the bath again, so perhaps winter is the best time? We plan to stay here again in winter! There’s nothing particularly noteworthy to mention—just excellent hospitality and delicious food. The bath was perfectly sized for two people, with onsen water at just the right temperature. This is a fantastic accommodation that makes exceptional service feel natural, meeting all guests' expectations effortlessly. A truly relaxing and lovely place to stay. We'll be back again!

    It's a miracle!

    We decided to take a spontaneous trip over the weekend and found this accommodation the day before. The room, open-air bath, and meals were all exceptional. Definitely coming back!     I had a peaceful and relaxing time.

    This was our first visit. The Type A room was well-maintained, perfectly sized for us as a couple, and very comfortable. The meals allowed us to enjoy high-quality ingredients, and the portions were just right. What impressed us the most was the thoughtful care of the staff, along with the extraordinary Onsen and scenery. Both my wife and I loved it so much that we would like to visit regularly in the future. Thank you for providing us with such a peaceful and wonderful time!

    Special Accommodation in West Izu

    Overall, I was very satisfied with the onsen and facilities. Access Since I don't drive, I accessed the accommodation by bus from Shuzenji. The accommodation is close to the bus stop, so it didn't feel inconvenient. Room I stayed in "Hohoeminagara," and the room's semi-open-air bath (not completely outdoors but exposed to fresh air) was excellent. As it was a cooler season, I enjoyed alternating between bathing and resting repeatedly, which made for a wonderful experience. Service Regarding service, there were moments where it felt inexperienced or part-time-like, which seemed slightly mismatched with the high level of facilities and rooms. (It wasn't an unpleasant experience; rather, my expectations were raised due to the quality of the room and facilities.) Specifically, during explanations about meals or souvenirs provided at checkout, there were moments when it felt like staff might not fully understand what they were explaining. (Again, this doesn't mean that service or hospitality was bad; it just appeared relatively less polished compared to the food and facilities.)

    Highly satisfied.

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my wife's birthday. The day before, we were worried due to road closures caused by snow, but on the day of our stay, although it was cloudy, the rain and snow had stopped, and the road closures were lifted. Although we couldn't see Mount Fuji from the bath as others have mentioned, we enjoyed the warm hospitality of the staff, delicious meals, and a spacious bath. The room had floor heating in areas other than the bedroom and was pleasantly warm without needing air conditioning—perfect for someone like me who isn't fond of air conditioning. The highlight was definitely the food. It was creative Japanese cuisine that I hadn't tasted in a long time—truly delicious! While accommodations of this grade often serve good food, this place exceeded expectations with dishes that were visually delightful and satisfying to eat. The bath was just right for two people to relax comfortably without any added heating or water adjustments—it maintained an ideal temperature naturally. This time we couldn't fulfill our first wish of seeing Mount Fuji from the bath; however, we'll be back soon for another chance! Thank you again in advance!
