    The Hotel staff’s service was the best I’ve ever experienced!!

    From welcome to farewell, the service was attentive and truly impressive. No matter where we were in the building, the staff noticed everything and took excellent care of us.\nOcean views from every Facility—the Room, the large public bath, and the lounge with complimentary drinks.\nWe also recommend taking a walk down the hill to Mihama Cape.\nThe ocean view from the outdoor lounge was in a perfect location. We relaxed with coffee while listening to the waves until sunset. Thank you very much.

    There is no privacy.

    We stayed in a special Room this time. Because we arrived late, dinner time came right away. A staff member came to call us and waited outside the door, which made us feel rushed and unable to relax. An announcement said the sunset was beautiful at that time, so we enjoyed it for a while before dinner started. However, almost all of the dishes were already set out; the sashimi was lukewarm and the meat fat had already melted, which was disappointing. The extra-ordered snow crab was prepared on the spot and was very delicious. Also, our assigned attendant entered our Room twice by opening the door without knocking (they may have knocked, but we could not hear it at all). We had just arrived and were resting on the bed, so it really startled us. It felt like there was far too little privacy these days. Having staff come into the Room to lay out bedding may have been normal in the past, but it made us feel uncomfortable. Overall, although we went to relax, we couldn’t truly unwind. The building is old, but the Room and baths were kept clean and well maintained. The view from the in-Room bath was wonderful as well. That’s why it’s especially disappointing that privacy remained an issue.

    An unbeatable locati...

    An unbeatable location with sweeping views of Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji, a stunning open-air bath, clean Rooms, kind staff, and a luxurious breakfast (we didn’t include dinner)—we were completely satisfied with everything! It’s also close to Morokuchi Shrine, and we recommend walking there while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji and the sea. My daughter and I had a wonderful trip. Thank you very much.

    Satisfied!

    We stayed for one weekday night. Because the price was reasonable, we were a little worried at first, but the Room and the entire property were very clean and we were extremely satisfied. The food was also very delicious, and we were more than satisfied even without any add-ons. Breakfast in particular was so generous that we couldn’t finish it. If I had to mention one complaint, I think some background music is needed in the dining area. Since there is only a single roll curtain between tables, you end up being mindful of other guests. We were very happy with the complimentary drinks service in the lounge (lobby), but it would be even better if there weren’t such a strict time limit. Overall, everything was very good.

    The Best Memories!

    We were able to fully enjoy a relaxing, quiet stay in West Izu. The Facility was flawless and wonderful, and we were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. The fruit was beautifully garnished with delicate decorative cuts, and we could truly feel the chef’s hospitality—my mother was especially delighted. We were able to celebrate an early Mother’s Day. Compared to the east side, West Izu feels calmer, making it perfect for an adult getaway where you can savor the sound of the waves and great meals. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality.

    I stayed in a Room with a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji.

    Although I made the Reservation only a week in advance, I checked the weather forecast and booked a Room with a view of Mt. Fuji. The forecast was accurate, and I was able to fully enjoy the beautiful Mt. Fuji in the evening. However, it was cloudy the next morning, so it was disappointing that I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji then. All staff provided courteous service. A staff member from Nepal served our meals, and seeing them working so hard together with younger international staff was truly heartwarming. The Room had quite a few steps and felt somewhat dated, but it was kept clean. These days, when staying at an Accommodation, meals are often too large to finish; however, this Accommodation served high-quality dishes in just the right portions, and I was happy to finish everything at both dinner and breakfast. When we left, you even saw us off until our car disappeared from view—thank you very much. This became a wonderful memory of Nishi-Izu.

    Our family of four s...

    Our family of four stayed for one night. We had both dinner and breakfast in a private dining room, and we were very satisfied with both the quality and quantity. The staff were very friendly, and we had a comfortable stay. In particular, our attendant was wonderful and kindly helped us by preparing the specially ordered king crab. We visit many Onsen, and we will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

    We could see Mt. Fuji and the sunset, but they were sometimes hidden by clouds, which was a bit disappointing. However, the moonlit “moon road” late at night was absolutely breathtaking. Each dish showed great care and creativity in the ingredients’ textures and seasoning—it was truly delicious.

    The views, service, and meals were all excellent—an extremely satisfying stay.

    I chose this Accommodation for its excellent Facilities and the views of Toda Port and Mt. Fuji. As expected, the scenery was stunning, and I was especially impressed by the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail throughout our stay. At check-in, they came to the parking lot to help with our luggage, and on a rainy day at check-out, they offered us umbrellas—every interaction was consistently courteous. During dinner, a male international staff member kindly took a family photo of us with the local specialty, the giant spider crab (takaashigani), which became a wonderful memory. On the first day we had great weather and were able to take our time enjoying Mt. Fuji and the sunset from the lounge, our room, and the large public bath. The next day was unfortunately cloudy, but we felt truly relaxed by the quiet view of Toda Port from the private bath. The food—especially the giant spider crab—was elegantly seasoned at both dinner and breakfast, and we were very satisfied. Even family members who usually eat small portions enjoyed it so much that they asked for seconds of rice. The “Toda salt” served with the tempura was delicious, and it was also nice that we could buy it at the shop. Thanks to everyone’s kind hospitality and delicious meals, this became a memorable trip for us. When we visit West Izu again, we would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    The Room, meals, and bath were all amazing! Thank you for your kind hospitality.

    My first trip to Nishi-Izu. I made my Reservation late and everywhere was fully booked, but I was able to stay at Umi no Hotel Isaba—perhaps due to a cancellation. Thank you for the warm welcome upon arrival, the guidance to my Room, and your kind service during meals. I arrived just in time for sunset, and from the open-air bath in my Room I enjoyed a breathtaking panoramic view over Suruga Bay. The Room was very spacious, and I was able to truly relax. The in-room dining was outstanding, with a luxurious seafood-focused meal that I thoroughly enjoyed. The complimentary drinks in the Room refrigerator and the amenities were well stocked, and there were multiple bath towels as well—very satisfying. The private bath with a view of Mt. Fuji was also spacious and wonderful. The next morning, I dropped something down below and had given up on it, but you kindly retrieved it for me—I’m truly grateful. Thank you very much.

    In addition to the ocean and Mount Fuji, the breathtaking sunset views offer a truly exceptional moment.

    Is there any Accommodation as captivating for its views as this one? The sea stretching out before you and Mt. Fuji beyond it are clearly visible all the way down to the foothills. The sunset sky turns a breathtaking deep crimson—I could have watched it forever. It was a view that made me feel exactly that way. The sky and sea seen from the open-air bath in the Room and from the terrace were also outstanding. In-room dining in a Room spacious enough for two to relax was delicious and comfortable, thanks to the attendant’s thoughtful care and attentive service. The view from the private bath was truly one of a kind, and both my spouse and I felt we definitely want to return.

    Mount Fuji and Beautiful Sunset

    The hostess's explanation at check-in was clear and delivered with a warm smile. This time, we stayed in a Room on the second floor with tatami flooring, beds, and a private bath with a view. The bath was at the perfect temperature and available anytime, which was very convenient. It is spacious enough for two people and not being an open-air bath meant it wasn’t cold when washing up. The staff member who guided us to our Room was a young woman from Myanmar, whose earnest attitude left a great impression. The service during meals was excellent, making dining an enjoyable experience. Dinner portions were just right, and everything tasted delicious; the freshly fried Megisu tempura stood out as the best dish. Breakfast included many tasty side dishes that paired perfectly with rice, making it hard to stop eating! The lobster miso soup was exceptional. After breakfast, we appreciated the coffee service in the lounge—being able to take delicious coffee back to our Room added to our comfort. In the morning, we used the complimentary private bath "Yūhi no Kagayaki." Seeing Suruga Bay alongside Mount Fuji covered in snow was breathtakingly beautiful. The large bathtub provided ample space and warmth for complete relaxation. The hostess’s farewell upon departure also left us deeply moved. The sunset view from Isaba is truly stunning; this time we enjoyed it from our Room. We would love to stay here again when visiting Nishi-Izu!

    I was enveloped in unparalleled happiness.

    Blessed with good weather, we were able to fully enjoy the charm of this accommodation. The stunning view of Mount Fuji and the sunset over the sea were truly unparalleled. After checking in, we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine on the terrace, where Suruga Bay stretched out before us and Mount Fuji stood beautifully against the blue sky to our right—a moment filled with happiness. The staff provided quiet and courteous service, and each dish during our meals was delicious, leaving us very satisfied. The amenities, including towels, were well-stocked. We used all types of baths—the large public bath, room bath, and private bath—and found each one exceptional. Throughout the facility, there were charming handmade guide plates that added a warm touch to the atmosphere. However, as a family of four, we felt that the room was a bit small for us.

    Stunning View

    The sunset view was stunning, offering breathtaking scenery. The room's open-air bath featured an alkaline Onsen at just the right temperature. Both the private bath and the large public bath were excellent. The meals were enjoyable, but it was very disappointing that the Japanese spider crab was served cold.

    Stunning views of Mount Fuji

    I stayed at an accommodation in Toda for the first time to try the Japanese spider crab. The route from Numazu through Mito felt quite winding and far, but the occasional views of Mount Fuji were breathtaking and left a deep impression. Upon arrival at the accommodation, I saw Japanese spider crabs swimming in a tank, just in season. Of course, I was able to enjoy boiled crab for dinner. While it didn’t have the dense meat like king crab, it was incredibly delicious. The staff member from Nepal provided polite and attentive service. Unfortunately, due to strong winds on the day of my stay, I couldn’t use the open-air bath. The view of Mount Fuji from Toda Port is truly one-of-a-kind and unforgettable—a truly remarkable highlight that left me amazed. On my way back, I took a route through Shuzenji which felt much closer; I’d love to visit again someday. Thank you very much!

    The staff is excellent.

    The effort of the staff was very evident at this accommodation. The food was extremely delicious, and the cleaning was impeccable, but the room was noisy. The sound of sliding doors closing in the neighboring rooms was very loud and surprising, waking me up multiple times during the night. While it seems to be an accommodation striving hard, I had some doubts about whether it meets the standards for being listed on IKYU.com.

    A renowned accommodation in West Izu, perfect for an adult couple's getaway.

    After about 15 years, we visited Izu again and stayed at the "Umi no Hotel Isaba" in Toi Onsen, West Izu with my wife. From the warm welcome upon arrival, the explanation of the facilities in the lobby, to being guided to our room, every interaction was incredibly polite and heartfelt. The staff member assigned to our room was especially cheerful and attentive, making even mealtime an enjoyable experience. The cuisine was exceptional. For my wife who has allergies, they prepared a special menu separate from the standard course. The level of care went beyond what we could have imagined—it felt even more luxurious than usual. We are deeply grateful for the chef's thoughtful consideration. In addition to our room's private open-air bath, there were also private baths and large public baths with open-air options—more than enough bathing facilities for one night! My wife jokingly complained that "there wasn’t enough time!" because we couldn’t try them all (laughs). The only disappointment was that it rained during our stay and we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji. Next time, we hope to enjoy views of Suruga Bay and Mt. Fuji while revisiting this wonderful accommodation. Thank you for a truly memorable stay!

    The lounge we were looking forward to was truly disappointing. Alcohol is available from 16:00, but there’s no beer or snacks—better not to have it at all. The Room didn’t even have basic amenities like lotion or emulsion, making it worse than a Business Hotel. We will definitely not be returning.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. We had informed you in advance that we were staying to celebrate my mother's birthday, and we were delighted to receive a bottle of wine with a message during dinner. My mother especially enjoyed this stay. She mentioned that both the meals and the onsen were the best among all the accommodations she has stayed at so far. Thanks to the staff member who recommended Nishiura mandarins, we were able to purchase some as well. Despite traveling with my elderly parents, we had a wonderful time thanks to the heartfelt hospitality of all your staff members. We would love to visit again if given the opportunity!

    Maybe my expectations were too high.

    Service: Strict with time and lacked warmth. Although arriving 30 minutes before check-in, the warm welcome was appreciated. However, the reception only confirmed the name and directed to read a paper without further explanation. Guests checking in later were attended to first. The reservation for the private open-air bath was from 3 PM, but calling at 2:59 PM resulted in being told it was too early and not possible even if it turned 3 PM shortly after. Upon calling again, the desired spot had already been reserved by guests on a multiple night stay. Despite requesting a location with sunset views, the suggested spot had limited visibility of sunsets. When returning the key for the open-air bath, although promptly received by staff, on returning to my room via elevator (ELV), despite waiting in line orderly, newly checked-in guests heading to their rooms were prioritized over me. Meal explanations were brief and referred to reading a menu instead of detailed guidance. Facility: The building felt like an old structure slightly renovated. Staying near an elevator (ELV) on the second floor meant hallway noise echoed significantly and disrupted peace. After dinner while relaxing in my room, sounds from neighboring futon arrangements disturbed tranquility; morning noises from linen rooms were also loud. Meals: Average quality with no standout dishes worth recommending.

    Disappointing meals.

    The room with a private open-air bath was excellent, but the meals were disappointing. I had high expectations for fresh seafood, but the sashimi at dinner lacked freshness, and the horse mackerel tasted fishy and unpleasant. The grilled fish was served cold, and the additional order of Ise lobster sashimi was watery and not worth the price—leaving me regretting my choice. The fan in the private bath area was dusty, giving an impression of insufficient cleaning. It's unfortunate given how stunning the view is.

    Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The tableware was beautiful, and the presentation was elegant. The private bath offered a great view. Unfortunately, it was cloudy, so we couldn't see Mt. Fuji... If I had to suggest one thing, having draft beer instead of mini cans in the lounge would be perfect, and a wider selection of alcoholic beverages would make it irresistible to return. Still, it was a very satisfying Onsen accommodation. Thank you!

    Mount Fuji

    This was an area we rarely visit. Although the weather on the day of our arrival was unfortunate, the next day was clear, and we had a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. The sea was calm, and we are considering coming back next year with our grandchildren for a beach trip. The staff who assisted with the meals spoke fluent Japanese and were very pleasant. Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes and was delicious; however, it would have been nice if someone offered us seconds on rice. Regarding the indoor wear (samue), I think it would be better if they didn’t use snap buttons, as well as updating to brighter colors since they seem to have faded over time. Thank you for your hospitality! The staff who served us during meals had such a lovely smile—thank you so much!
