    It was a wonderful Hotel [Ryokan].

    The onsen was one of the best I've experienced recently and felt incredibly relaxing. The food was delicious, and the portions were just right. The room, being a detached accommodation, was quiet and allowed for a peaceful stay. Since there was an open-air bath in the room, I didn't use the public bath. Considering it's a detached accommodation, I think the toilet sound system isn't necessary; it might not be needed during late-night use either. It was such a wonderful accommodation!

    The quality and quan...

    The quality and quantity of the bathwater were satisfying. However, using the stairs in the bathroom felt a bit scary. The meals looked small at first glance but were just the right amount, and I was satisfied with the seasoning. The staff who served our meals was kind and attentive, which was great. I was surprised to find that the futon in the Room had already been laid out when we checked in, but it felt more relaxing knowing there would be no one entering after check-in. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Breakfast was prepared from 6:00 AM, allowing us to arrive early at Tateyama Station and secure a good parking spot, which was very convenient.

    The food was delicio...

    The food was delicious, and the staff were very attentive, which made me happy. I felt that everyone was well-trained. The Facility and Room felt a bit old, but they were clean. It was a little disappointing that the elevator took a long time to arrive when there were large groups. It turned out to be an enjoyable trip to Tateyama Kurobe. Thank you very much!

    Accommodation for Relaxation in the Embrace of Mountain Nature

    I stayed at the accommodation during my first visit to the Alpine Route. The shuttle service to and from Tateyama Station was very helpful. The lounge, where complimentary drinks were available, had large windows offering a pleasant view of many trees. I also enjoyed the meals served directly to my table during breakfast and dinner, allowing me to relax. Additionally, my email inquiry sent the day before my stay was promptly answered, which helped me prepare for the trip.

    The meals and baths are excellent.

    We stayed at the accommodation for a family trip at the end of September. The room on the top floor was very spacious, included a Japanese-style room, and provided a very relaxing space. The meals were truly delicious, with the matsutake mushroom dobin-mushi and chestnut rice served at the end being exceptional. The staff were incredibly kind and cheerful in their service. One thing to note... although it was a renovated room and well-cleaned, signs of the building's age could be seen here and there—such as in the elevator, sink area, doors, and limited power outlets—which was slightly disappointing. However... these were outweighed by the excellent meals and onsen baths that made for an enriching experience overall.

    It was a Hotel with warm hospitality.

    We stayed at the beginning of August during the Obon season. The staff's warm and thoughtful service made this hotel truly wonderful. As we stayed after completing the Alpine Route, we had to confirm the shuttle service schedule multiple times, but they were consistently polite and accommodating, which gave us peace of mind. The treasure hunt at the large play facility and handheld fireworks were great services for children. Despite the unfortunate weather, our kids enjoyed themselves without getting bored, which was a relief. We would love to stay at this hotel again!

    Natural hot spring, directly sourced and flowing.

    Our dedicated Onsen with a private open-air bath in the room. We stayed in the annex. The silky water with a pH above 9 was incredibly satisfying. It was quiet and relaxing. The meal portions were just right and delicious. We would love to visit again. (We could see adorable monkey families from the room!)

    It was excellent.

    Stayed at Shikisai-kan with our dog. It was quiet as summer vacation had ended and it was before the autumn foliage season. After receiving an explanation at the front desk, we were able to park the car in front of our room and head straight to it. Although Toyama was extremely hot that day, the room was perfectly cooled. At the entrance, there was a foldable chair on the wall, which my husband with leg issues appreciated. The room was spacious, clean, and had sparkling windows offering a beautiful view of the mountains. The bath featured a cypress tub with natural hot spring water flowing directly into it and had a separate shower room. We quickly went to the main building's large public bath, which was conveniently close from our cottage. The public bath area and changing rooms were spacious and clean as well. Meals were served in private rooms in the main building; both taste and portion size were just right. Our dog relaxed comfortably in our room while we dined out. We’d love to visit again during autumn foliage season!

    Hospitality that makes up for areas with room for improvement

    Although the Facility shows some signs of age, such as a three-point water system and non-Hotel locks, the greatest strength of this Hotel is undoubtedly the hospitality of its staff. It is an extremely comfortable Hotel that makes you want to return. Thank you very much.

    The food was absolutely delicious.

    The meals, including accommodations for allergies and fresh local fish, were very delicious. The Shuttle Service to Tateyama Station early in the morning was very helpful. The bathwater was hot, but it was very clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasant experience.

    Thank you for your patronage!

    The staff were all very kind and provided attentive service. The large public bath was spacious, and the open-air bath was very relaxing. We enjoyed choosing matching yukata patterns with friends, as both sizes and designs were available. At night, we were guided to a spot (about a 1-minute walk from the hotel entrance) where we could see a beautiful starry sky—it was truly breathtaking. Guests could use the lounge with a free drink bar (offering coffee, juice, and more) until 9 PM, which made our stay even more comfortable. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an original hotel curry set just by registering for their LINE friend campaign—it made me so happy! Thank you very much! I would love to stay here again if I have another chance to visit Tateyama.

    I reserved a spaciou...

    I reserved a spacious room, and the room itself was decent. However, the shared areas were not air-conditioned, which made it uncomfortably hot. Additionally, I ordered a special meal expecting a large portion based on the photos and even skipped lunch to prepare for it, but the quantity was underwhelming and disappointing. The onsen was excellent.

    A visit to Tateyama for mountain climbing after several years

    It was my first visit in several years, and the onsen was perfect for soothing my tired body after climbing Mt. Tateyama. I stayed in a different room at the annex this time, which was spacious and comfortable. However, having to step outside to access the onsen was a slight drawback. The most disappointing aspect of my stay was the meals. Compared to before, there were fewer dishes and the quality seemed slightly diminished. At first, I thought I might have been mistaken about the room or misremembered, but when I checked photos from my previous visit on an old phone, it confirmed that both the number of dishes and their content had declined slightly. While this may be due to rising costs of goods and labor in recent times, meals are an essential part of travel enjoyment. It would be great if there were more options available in reservation plans with varying course selections to cater to different age groups. That said, the onsen remains excellent as always, and the staff continue to provide outstanding service just like before. It’s a very pleasant accommodation where you can truly relax—highly recommended for everyone!

    A hotel with excellent staff.

    I stayed at the main building. I had mistakenly made a reservation for the wrong date, but a staff member, concerned about the shuttle service for my car, called me and helped me realize my mistake. Despite it being a busy season, they handled the situation kindly and efficiently, for which I am truly grateful. The facility does feel a bit old, and there are no outlets near the bed, so I couldn't use my CPAP machine for sleep apnea. However, the water facilities are new and everything was clean and well-maintained, so there was nothing unpleasant about my stay. The meals allowed us to enjoy local cuisine thoroughly. The foreign staff members were exceptionally kind in their manner of speaking, which brought smiles to all of our faces as a family. Next time, I hope to save up some money and stay in one of the detached rooms!

    I had a relaxing time.

    Stayed the night before exploring Tateyama. The parking lots around Tateyama Station were crowded, so the shuttle service to the station was very helpful. The staff's hospitality was excellent. The meals were delicious. I would love to stay here again.

    The triple room was spacious enough. The meals were well-portioned and delicious. Although some aging of the Facility was noticeable, it was still comfortable to relax.

    It was excellent.

    The facility was spacious with a relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed playing table tennis and karaoke both in the morning and at night, which made our family very satisfied. Of course, the meals and baths were excellent as well. We would love to stay here again if we have the chance.

    Tateyama Hiking & Onsen

    After a tiring hike, I was delighted to have my luggage carried upon arrival. I wanted to enjoy the Onsen quietly, and although there were many people, the washing area had different levels which allowed for a peaceful experience. The natural hot spring with an open-air bath and jet bath was enjoyable. Having drinking water available was also a nice touch. The meals featured local ingredients and were delicious. I also appreciated that the staff listened to my travel stories, which made me very happy. The towels were slightly disappointing though. It became a memorable trip for me. Thank you very much!

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay from August 4th to 6th. The Facility was a bit old, but it was very clean and well-maintained. Above all, the food was incredibly delicious! Every dish was carefully prepared, and I was truly impressed. Thank you very much!

    Tateyama Murodo Hiking

    Thank you so much for taking care of us during our 2-day stay. The Shuttle Service to Tateyama Station was very helpful. We enjoyed the Onsen multiple times, and the weather was perfect for two days of hiking with breathtaking views and a beautiful starry sky at night. This trip has been truly memorable, and we would love to visit again.

    Open-air Bath: Enjoy Nature to the Fullest

    The view of the mountains while listening to cicadas in the open-air bath was amazing and very relaxing. The stars seen from the plaza next to the Hotel were also incredibly beautiful.

    I visited after a hi...

    I visited after a hike. The Onsen was silky and helped relieve my fatigue. The staff were very friendly, providing stargazing guidance and sharing the charms of Toyama, which made me feel at ease. I believe that having kind staff is essential for a great trip, so I was very happy. However, one point to note—this might have been my carelessness—but the metal supporting the outdoor unit on the terrace was slightly protruding at about face height, and I bumped into it. It might be safer to take some measures for this. I would love to visit again!

    I stayed in the Room "Shobu" with a lovely ceramic-style bath.

    We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We chose a room with a ceramic bath, and the smooth onsen water was so delightful that even my husband, who usually takes quick baths, enjoyed going back and forth between the bathtub and the terrace bed. In hindsight, we regretted not staying for three nights instead of two. The clean room was cozy, pet-friendly accommodation was available, the meals were delicious, and everything was perfectly balanced for a comfortable stay—such accommodations are truly rare. Next time, we plan to visit in autumn to see the Kurobe fall foliage. If I must point out some drawbacks: the gate's width made driving in and out nerve-wracking, and it would be nice if the quality of toilet paper could be improved slightly. *Unfortunately, I couldn't upload better photos!*

    Detached Cottage Use

    Due to a sudden change in plans, I booked this Hotel, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The Room was a detached cottage, clean and equipped with a cartridge-style coffee maker, which is great for coffee lovers. The bathroom in the Room was excellent, allowing you to relax while enjoying the view of the beautifully maintained garden. The meals were also very delicious. All the staff members were very kind and helpful. I would love to visit this Hotel again!
