    First Time in Toyama

    The hot spring water had a very pleasant texture, providing great relaxation. For meals, we enjoyed eel dishes, and every item was seasoned perfectly, leaving us completely satisfied.

    Enjoy the open-air hot spring bath with natural flowing water in your Room.

    I stayed one night at Bettei Shikisai. The quality of the onsen in the private open-air bath in the room was excellent, and it alone made me want to visit again. The room had plenty of coffee portions, which we, as coffee lovers, thoroughly enjoyed. It was quiet and comfortable overall, though the BGM in the restroom was a bit noticeable during late-night use. I look forward to enjoying the onsen at Bettei Shikisai again. The staff were natural and very pleasant. Thank you!

    I really enjoyed the private open-air bath with Onsen water flowing directly. I will visit again with my children. It would be great if there were buffet-style meals available.

    Stayed at Shikisai with my dog.

    We stayed for one night at the private villa Shikisai with an open-air bath, bringing our dog along. The room's natural hot spring bath was amazing, and relaxing on the terrace afterward made for a perfect moment. Usually, when going to a bath, dogs have to stay behind, but being able to keep our dog in the same room allowed us to enjoy the bath with peace of mind. Meals were served in a private dining room (dogs not allowed), creating a calm and luxurious atmosphere. The location is close to Tateyama Station, the gateway to the Alpine Route, and Shuttle Service was provided, making it very convenient. The staff were very knowledgeable about the Alpine Route, which was incredibly reassuring for us as first-time visitors. We would love to visit again and highly recommend it for those traveling with their dogs!

    Overall satisfied.

    The interior reflects a luxurious, vintage design reminiscent of the bubble era. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by two large insects, but the front desk promptly addressed the issue. Some maintenance issues were noticeable, such as a stopped clock in the bath area and all table tennis rackets with peeling surfaces. Reviews mentioned that breakfast portions were impressive, but all the women in our group found it surprisingly small. Despite these drawbacks, the staff was kind and made our stay pleasant overall. With hopes for improvement in the future, we were generally satisfied.

    We chose this hotel near Tateyama Station for our trip to the Alpine Route. The staff kindly accommodated changes to the shuttle service schedule, listened to various requests during meals, and provided helpful advice about the Alpine Route. The Onsen was of high quality, the room was clean, and everything exceeded our expectations.

    Satisfied.

    We chose this accommodation because the Snow Wall bus tour departs from here. The staff were very kind, and we had a pleasant stay. It was a bit disappointing that there was no clock in the room and the trash bin was small for us. Bringing towels and bath towels from the room to use the onsen was slightly inconvenient. The onsen itself was very relaxing, and we appreciated that lounge drinks were free for guests. We also enjoyed apple jam, which made our stay even more satisfying. The shuttle service from Tateyama Station was also much appreciated.

    We stayed at Kyarra ...

    We stayed at Kyarra with the primary purpose of enjoying a relaxing time in a separate building and utilizing the kids' room, as we have a small child. The staff, including those at the parking lot, front desk, and dining area, were all extremely polite and made our stay very pleasant. The room was exceptionally clean, and the amenities were more than sufficient. However, the pathway to the private outdoor bath felt slightly long to walk barefoot; having geta or similar footwear available would enhance the experience (the bath itself was perfectly sized and absolutely wonderful). The kids' room was spacious—possibly a renovated gymnasium—and featured slides, an athletic area, a ball pool, as well as plenty of toys for children under 2 years old that make sounds. Our child thoroughly enjoyed it (though it felt almost too spacious for just one 1.5-year-old). As for meals, both dinner and breakfast were excellent in taste; however, while there were dishes like firefly squid on the menu representing Toyama/Hokuriku cuisine to some extent, we felt that emphasizing local specialties even more would be great. Overall, we had an excellent holiday. It’s unfortunate that our schedule didn’t allow us to stay longer. Thank you very much!

    Family-friendly with a spacious indoor playground, and the Onsen was excellent. There’s a treasure hunt activity in the morning, which was very enjoyable for my two children.

    Highly Satisfied

    I visited the Snow Corridor with my daughter, her husband, and my grandchild. The children's play area in the Hotel was well-equipped, and they were delighted. Additionally, I appreciate the kind support from the staff, including the Shuttle Service to the station. I would love to stay here again.

    The bath, room, meals, and lounge all received high ratings. Additionally, the staff who assisted during dinner provided attentive and flexible service, which was excellent. Including breakfast time, everyone greeted us with smiles, making the stay very comfortable.

    Feel refreshed

    I stayed in the "Ruri" room of the annex, and it was more spacious than I expected. The semi-open-air hot spring bath with natural flowing water and the indoor bath made for an incredibly luxurious experience. The view from the room was beautiful, and the clean air made me feel refreshed and rejuvenated. The staff who assisted during breakfast provided helpful sightseeing advice, which was greatly appreciated. I would love to visit again when I go to Tateyama. Thank you very much!

    The warm hospitality...

    The warm hospitality of the staff and the delicious cuisine were truly satisfying. Unfortunately, I could only stay for one night this time, but next time I’d love to stay for two nights, relax in the lounge, participate in stargazing activities, and enjoy a more leisurely experience.

    A welcoming Hotel where you can stay with your dog.

    This was the only hotel on IKYU.com that allowed dogs to stay. Although it is not a new hotel, it was very clean, and both the room and the bath were comfortable to use. The staff who assisted us during our stay were very kind and enjoyable to talk with. We stayed in a Japanese-style room for three people, and they provided comfortable mattresses for both the bed and futon, showing great attention to detail. Meals were served in a private dining space within our room, allowing us to enjoy delicious dishes at a relaxed pace. We were extremely satisfied. Even though we brought our dog along, we appreciated being able to move around together (except in the dining area) as long as he was in his pet stroller. This was our first trip to Toyama, but with such delicious food and stunning cherry blossoms, we now want to visit again during autumn foliage season—and would love to stay at this hotel once more!

    The pet-friendly roo...

    The pet-friendly room was clean and had no unpleasant odors, making it a comfortable stay. Choosing the crab-focused cuisine was the right decision—it was absolutely delicious. The staff member who attended to us seemed to be from another country but was incredibly attentive, perhaps even more so than some Japanese staff. The excellent service left us very satisfied. We plan to return, but one small suggestion would be regarding the temperature of the private Onsen in the room—it was a bit low. We adjusted it by adding hot water from the faucet, but it felt like a waste of the "flowing Onsen" feature. The large public bath had great water and was very enjoyable!

    Excellent customer service.

    The Nepalese staff member who served dinner was very kind and provided excellent service. Other restaurant staff were also friendly, and the breakfast staff offered pleasant hospitality. It was a wonderful accommodation that truly conveyed a spirit of hospitality. While the facility is old, it more than makes up for it with its charm. The room was also very spacious.

    I'll be back!

    I stayed with my mother. I was impressed by the bath in the Room (it felt like lotion, and I used it multiple times!) and touched by the hospitality (I was spoiled by the staff's warm-hearted service!). Now heading back to Gunma, but I will visit again in summer. Thank you for everything!

    The bath and meals were excellent.

    The snow walls between the Hotel and the room with an open-air Onsen created a wonderful atmosphere. The Onsen in the room and the large public bath had a pleasantly smooth texture, with the room's Onsen feeling even smoother. The meals were satisfying, but it was disappointing that there was no explanation about whether rice could be refilled during breakfast, as I expected it to be served in a traditional rice container. I look forward to visiting again in a different season. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Snowboarding Onsen Trip

    I had a very elegant time. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were delicious and filling, and I was impressed by the fresh sashimi unique to Toyama Prefecture. Some parts of the Onsen were unavailable, but I was able to enjoy it at a leisurely pace. Since we checked in early, I ended up going in four times. It seems that there were people with large tattoos on their backs and arms in the men's bath, despite the notice saying it's not allowed... it felt like something should be done about it. Both snowboarding and Onsen were enjoyable, making for a satisfying trip. Thank you very much.

    We had a great stay with our family.

    We stayed as a family of four (with two elementary school children). The seasonal creative Japanese course was sufficient in both content and volume, and we were able to enjoy it deliciously. The menu was arranged for children, and they were delighted. The kids' land was spacious, and they seemed to be having a great time. The large public bath was also well-equipped and satisfying, but since it was the ski season, it was crowded with outside guests in the evening, so it seemed better to bathe at night or early in the morning.

    Family Trip

    We stayed as a family of four. The front desk staff were very kind. When we mentioned during the booking process that one of our children might not be able to sit still during meals, they thoughtfully arranged for us to dine in a private room, even though we hadn't specifically requested it. This was a great help, and we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. We had requested a meal for children, and we had imagined something like a typical kids' meal. However, about 30% of the meal consisted of food that children might like, while the rest was more like an adult's meal, so our child couldn't eat much of it. Because of this, we gave four stars, but the adults were very satisfied. The kids' play area was spacious, and the children had so much fun that they didn't want to leave. We are definitely planning to come back. We look forward to visiting again.

    It was a visit after a long time.

    Although it is close to our home, we rarely visit. Nearly 30 years ago, we stayed here with our children. While the building has aged, it was thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained. It seems the pool where the children played during the summer is no longer there. I do recall shivering from the cold after the Obon holiday. Even after that, we often used the bath after skiing, and it hasn’t changed, which brought back fond memories. The soft water relieved our fatigue, and it made our skin smooth and silky. The food was delicious, but I noticed that the menu for the evening of New Year’s Day was labeled as "Gantan Menu." "Gantan" actually refers to the morning of New Year’s Day. The character "旦" represents the sunrise. I mentioned this to the staff—hopefully, this information was shared among them. The complimentary sake in the lounge and the drink bar were great. From the parking lot staff to the front desk and restaurant staff, everyone was very pleasant, and we enjoyed the lucky draw. We had a wonderful New Year’s holiday. The squash court? It has been transformed into a kids' play area. Next time, I’d like to bring my grandchildren along.

    Very satisfied.

    I used this property for my first trip to Toyama. The large public bath was wonderful, and the facility itself was very clean and beautiful. I stayed in a room with a private bath, and both the bath and the room had a very relaxing atmosphere. The amenities were so well-stocked that I could have come empty-handed. Since I had reserved a private room for dinner, I enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in a private room. It was nice to spend time without worrying about others around. The dinner was plentiful, with sashimi, meat, and rice, all very delicious and fresh. I usually don't write reviews this detailed, but this property was so good that I couldn't help but write. I will definitely use it again when I visit Toyama.
