    A true, long-established Japanese Ryokan!

    We stayed as an 82-year-old grandmother and her 22-year-old grandchild. Having lived abroad for many years, we were continually moved by the wonderful Japanese hospitality. The Room with a private in-room Onsen we had always dreamed of was extremely comfortable, and the wide variety of dishes served each day were truly delicious—we could feel the chef’s care in every single item. All of the staff were very kind, and it was simply a fantastic three-night stay. When my grandmother felt unwell from travel fatigue, they even made rice balls for her and showed us such thoughtful kindness. Japanese hospitality is the best in the world. We look forward to visiting again someday. Thank you very much for everything.

    The Onsen was incred...

    The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and the meals were delicious. We were able to unwind and enjoy a peaceful stay! The staff were kind and attentive, which made our stay even more comfortable. Thank you very much! If we have the chance, we would love to stay again!

    A Room with beds for elderly parents.

    The barrier-free Room was almost too spacious for two people. There were no steps at all, and it seemed designed so you can move around the Room in a wheelchair. My parents can walk, so they used the large public bath, but the bath in the Room also seems suitable for guests with some mobility difficulties. The food was delicious and my elderly parents really enjoyed it. Nothing was overly seasoned—everything was simply excellent.

    Every dish is delicious.

    Since Noto is far, we stayed here the night before our Noto Support Trip. I like Awazu Onsen for its calm, relaxed town atmosphere. This was my second time in Awazu Onsen, but my first stay at Notoya. The Facility is old and feels like a maze, but I was amazed by the beautiful wooden latticework decorations throughout. Above all, the meals are delicious. The flavors suited my elderly parents as well, and we were very satisfied. We were completely full, but our son was happy to receive rice balls as a late-night snack too. The women’s bath is excellent. In particular, the open-air bath isn’t an artificially “designed” beauty—it sits right next to a bamboo grove on the hillside behind the inn and feels wonderfully natural. Bathing while listening to cicadas and bell crickets was fantastic. The women’s bath also has a lying-down bath and a sauna. The amenities provided were plentiful as well. The attendant we spoke with was from Wajima, and the front desk staff member was from Suzu. It seems many people from the Noto region work here.

    We stayed on the No Meals Included Plan this time. From the moment we arrived at the parking lot, the hospitality was outstanding and truly impressed us. The meals looked delicious, so next time we would like to stay on a Plan that includes dining. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    It was a satisfying one-night stay.

    This was my third stay, and as always I requested a Room with an open-air bath, and once again it was a very satisfying one-night stay. An in-room open-air bath is wonderful. It’s convenient to be able to soak anytime right away. Since the water in the Room’s open-air bath is free-flowing from the hot spring source, I could bathe with peace of mind. The meals were also satisfying in both quality and portion size. In addition, the staff member who assisted us was very entertaining and made us feel relaxed. We will come again, and we appreciate your continued support at that time.

    Excellent

    This was my first stay here. The private open-air bath and the meals were excellent, and it greatly improved my impression of Awazu Onsen. It would have been even better if drip coffee had been provided in the Room. I would definitely like to stay again.

    A charming, traditional Accommodation

    Although the Accommodation is old, it is well kept and the service was good, so overall I was satisfied. The hot water was great, and while the meals were not large in portion, they were thoughtfully prepared. The Room was spacious, and I would like to stay again if I have the chance. However, the souvenir shop was disappointing—there was nothing I wanted to buy. Maybe it’s the display; it felt a bit outdated.

    We stayed for one ni...

    We stayed for one night in July as a family of three. Since it was an extremely hot day, we arrived at the Accommodation early and first enjoyed the Onsen. The spacious Onsen, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass, was wonderful and instantly relieved our fatigue. Then came the dinner we had been looking forward to: the sashimi was chilled in an ice bowl, making it even fresher and more delicious. Every dish was excellent. Our attendant told us they were in their third year with the company, and they were a truly outstanding young professional—very attentive and considerate in every way. At checkout, when we mentioned we were heading to Hakusan White Road, we received a discount voucher, which made for an enjoyable drive. Next time, we would like to visit during the autumn foliage season.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We had a relaxing trip with a couple of friends. However, when I used the bath after 10:00 p.m., I noticed what looked like a used compress next to the outdoor bath tub, and it was still there the next morning. Even though cleaning hours are scheduled, it was disappointing to see that it hadn’t been cleaned properly.

    About Our Hospitality and Service

    I went to the front desk at night to pay for souvenirs. When I tried to pay by card, an older male staff member curtly said, “PIN,” which made me uncomfortable. When I went to the front desk again before breakfast to settle the payment, two older male staff members were seated there. One was turned sideways working on a computer, and the other silently stared at me. When I explained what I needed, he muttered without standing up, “Oh, from 8:00.” When I asked why, he said, “The person in charge comes at 8:00, so we can’t do it until then.” This was my first time experiencing a Hotel like this. The younger staff were very polite and left a good impression, but it felt like everything was ruined by the older male staff members. Inside the building, the contrast between newly renovated areas and older areas that didn’t seem well maintained was noticeable. The meal was a sushi kaiseki course and it was very delicious.

    This is a very nice accommodation.

    The food is simply delicious, and the dining area is very clean. The Room has been renovated and was very comfortable. The in-room bath was also wonderful and incredibly relaxing. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again.

    The lobby seems to have been beautifully renovated, but the age of the Room and the large public bath is hard to ignore. The large public bath was too far from the Room, so I only used it once. The bath in the Room was nice. The sushi at dinner was delicious. The attendant was a seasoned professional and quite friendly; I liked that.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    This was our fourth stay. We are always comforted by the staff’s warm smiles. This time we stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. It was a Western-style Room with two beds, yet it didn’t feel cramped at all, and we had a very comfortable stay. The open-air bath was spacious enough to wash and relax comfortably. Dinner was a steamed seafood meal—abalone, turban shell, shrimp, and vegetables. It was pleasantly seasoned and delicious. However, we felt the portion size was a bit large for us. For breakfast, we were very satisfied with the rolled omelet (dashimaki tamago) and dried fish that we had been looking forward to. We were truly soothed by the gentle hospitality of the person who took care of us from check-in through meals to seeing us off. We could really feel how hard they worked despite being in a country with a different language, as well as the efforts of the Hotel staff who trained them. If we have another opportunity to stay again, we look forward to it.

    Excellent hospitality.

    All staff were courteous and welcoming. There were late-night rice balls, as well as welcome drinks and sweets. There was a self-service nail corner where the children enjoyed trying colors they don’t usually choose. We also saw a few families with small children, but we didn’t run into them in the dining area or the Accommodation building, which made us feel there was thoughtful consideration for everyone.

    From arrival and being shown to our Room to meal service, a dedicated attendant took care of everything throughout, providing attentive hospitality that made us feel truly at ease. During the meal, they discreetly checked on refills and our pace, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. The stamp rally held inside the Ryokan was also fun for our child, and the warm atmosphere stood out—staff at the shop and izakaya chatted with us in a friendly way. Dinner featured an abundance of Kaga ingredients, including nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), and we were completely satisfied with both the quality and quantity. We were able to fully enjoy a proper kaiseki meal at the Ryokan. It’s an Accommodation where families can stay with peace of mind, with exceptional dining and hospitality.

    It was comfortable.

    My spouse and I stayed with our two sons (one in high school and one in elementary school) and my grandmother, a total of five people. All the staff were friendly and welcoming with warm smiles. The Room was spacious and thoroughly cleaned, and even though the Facility is not brand-new, we were able to stay very comfortably. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented. At dinner, the sashimi was served on a bowl made of ice, which delighted our sons. The miso soup at breakfast included crab and had a wonderful broth—we were very satisfied from the morning. The staff who served the dishes were also cheerful, approachable, and provided heartwarming service. We would definitely like to stay again.

    Great value for money and very satisfying.

    We stayed on a weekend during spring break. It was excellent for the price and a great value. The sashimi was served in an ice bowl, and bite-sized dishes were presented in cherry blossom–shaped monaka wafers, making everything look beautiful and uplifting. The lobby and exterior have been renovated and were very elegant, with a refined Kaga atmosphere throughout. The guest room was also spacious. The bathroom faucet was shaped in a way that made washing your face easy. The only disappointment was that there was no hot water. Overall, we were very satisfied.

    This Onsen Ryokan ha...

    This Onsen Ryokan has been beautifully renovated from an older property, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The large public bath was spacious, and I was able to relax. I felt the number of dishes and portion sizes in the meals were a little small.

    Great value and satisfying

    This Accommodation offers great value and a satisfying stay. Awazu Onsen town feels run-down, but we were able to relax, unwind, and spend a peaceful time inside the Accommodation. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed them at a leisurely pace. With its affordable rates, it was especially welcome for those living on a pension.

    You get what you pay for.

    I chose this Accommodation expecting great meals because it calls itself a “ryotei kaiseki,” but it was extremely disappointing. Meals were pre-set at the dining area, and while the attendant was friendly, the service felt unprofessional. The only saving grace was the open-air bath in the guest room, but aside from the quality of the hot spring water itself, it was a disappointing semi-open-air bath. The Facility and service did not match the accommodation cost. Also, an apology notice posted inside the elevator gave an unfortunate impression of financial trouble. This is not an Accommodation I would want to visit again.

    It was relaxing, laid-back, and absolutely wonderful.

    I stayed here last September and had such a wonderful experience that I returned this time with the simple plan of visiting Notoya again. I stayed in the same Room as before, with an open-air bath, and was able to relax and enjoy the Onsen at my leisure. Of course, I also used the large public bath. The water quality was excellent, and I was very satisfied. The meals were true to their name—kaiseki cuisine—and everything was delicious. All of the staff, including our attendant, were very kind, and I was extremely satisfied overall. One small disappointment was that the attendant who looked after us last time had retired due to her age, so I couldn’t see her again. However, our attendant this time knew her well, which put me at ease. I would like to visit again in the future, and I appreciate your continued hospitality then as well. Thank you very much.     Kano Crab

    I came to Notoya because I was craving crab. Crab sashimi, grilled crab, and steamed crab in a bamboo steamer! With plenty of rich crab miso, it was pure bliss. The other sashimi and the small side dishes were also exquisite. We had the meal served in our Room, and the attendant’s thoughtful care was wonderful, so we were able to spend our time very comfortably. I’m truly grateful. I drank too much of the sake that the shop staff recommended as delicious (lol). Next time, I’m looking forward to trying the curry I couldn’t eat because I was too full.

    This time, we came f...

    This time, we came for the branded crab. The tagged crab was truly generous in portion size—we just kept eating in silence and ended up full from crab alone. The Facility seems to be shifting from mainly group guests to individual travelers, and with table tennis, tea and snacks, gorgeous kumiko woodwork decorations, and recently renovated private rooms with open-air baths, it feels like you can experience a Ryokan spanning the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras—including the staff.

    The Onsen is wonderful.

    We stayed for one night. The Onsen was truly wonderful! We booked a Japanese-style Room with a private bath; the interior felt a bit older than it looked in the photos, but it was fun sleeping on futons again after a long time. The amenities were well provided, and we were satisfied.

    A Satisfying Accommodation

    Our four-person trip to Kaga with a couple of friends was truly satisfying and became a wonderful memory. ○ Staff We were surprised at how polite the Japanese was from the overseas staff (laugh). Everyone worked carefully, and it felt great to see. We also enjoyed chatting with the shop staff. Thank you as well to the staff who provided Shuttle Service for being so courteous. ○ Meals Since we mainly came for crab, we were very satisfied. Not only crab, but also small portions of other ingredients were included, and everything was delicious. It was also a plus that the dishes were served in line with our dining pace. ○ Onsen We could relax at ease. The changing room was just the right size and had a small space where you could unwind. ○ Guest Room It did feel a bit old, but it was well cleaned and comfortable. ○ Service Nothing to complain about—especially the Shuttle Service. As we used public transportation, it helped us a lot. We’re sorry for asking something that may have been a bit unreasonable, but thank you for kindly accommodating us. This is an Accommodation with attentive service that we would love to visit again. Awazu Onsen is the best (laugh). It became such a fun trip filled with laughter. Thank you very much to all the staff who helped us.

    Wonderful Ryokan

    We visited from the Kanto area. The Room was very clean, as if it had been renovated (Hana Wing). The Room has an open-air bath, so you can enjoy it anytime, morning or night. Maybe thanks to the Onsen’s benefits, my skin became incredibly smooth. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and I was happy that the side dishes were different at both breakfast and dinner each time. Ishikawa rice is delicious—I enjoyed it so much that I had seconds twice. We were very satisfied. This trip was our honeymoon. Thank you for giving my husband and me such a wonderful time. We would love to visit again.
