The quality of the hot spring water is exceptional.

We stayed this time for dinner at Roan Onmi. First, the complaints. When entering the Accommodation, a parking attendant rushed up and abruptly told us we were not allowed to enter. He interrogated us with questions like “Are you staying overnight?”, “Which Accommodation?”, and “Did you contact the front desk?”—that attitude was unacceptable. Even though I repeatedly told him we were staying overnight, he wouldn’t understand, so I eventually managed to send him away. It may be his job, but I feel he could have spoken more appropriately. Next, the staff at the breakfast venue—I was shocked by how rude they were. They didn’t greet us when we entered and were unfriendly. When I asked where to get water, they snapped, “We’ll bring it with your meal!” as if telling us to wait in silence. When they weren’t doing anything, they just stood there blankly watching us eat. It put me in a very bad mood first thing in the morning. As other Reviews mention as well, there seems to be an issue with customer service. Also, since there is no time slot reserved exclusively for guests at the large public bath, it gets crowded with day visitors and doesn’t feel inviting at all. That said, we were extremely satisfied with Roan’s meals and Accommodation overall—and especially the Room’s open-air bath exceeded our expectations. Next time I’d like them to change the breakfast venue to a different location so that we can return again.
