    Highly satisfied.

    It was a wonderful accommodation. The spacious grounds with rooms and facilities scattered around were delightful to explore, making walks within the property very enjoyable. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The room was clean and beautifully maintained. Both the open-air bath and indoor bath in the room were lovely, but we didn’t have time to use them as we visited the large public bath instead. With an all-inclusive plan, various alcoholic beverages were available for unlimited enjoyment; however, since we don’t drink alcohol, it was a bit disappointing for us. For those who enjoy drinking, this place would be perfect—I envy them! We’d love to visit again.

    It was a relaxing and luxurious accommodation.

    Arriving before check-in during afternoon tea time, I enjoyed sweets, curry, and drinks including alcohol while admiring the beautiful mountains, which lifted my spirits. The accommodation was a clean cottage-style facility with a sense of cleanliness. It was well-equipped with amenities like a coffee machine and a variety of drinks in the refrigerator. Dinner and the club lounge offered an extensive selection of alcoholic beverages, especially sake and shochu, making it perfect for alcohol enthusiasts. The meals were delicious, and the onsen was incredibly relaxing. After enjoying the onsen, milk beverages were also provided for guests—everything was thoughtfully prepared. I had an elegant holiday experience and am very satisfied!

    We celebrated my wife's 60th birthday with a family trip, joined by our son and daughter from Tokyo, making it a rare reunion for the five of us. We checked in early and enjoyed English tea and the lounge. Surrounded by nature, we had a truly relaxing and heartwarming time together. The all-inclusive service was especially appreciated by our family of drink enthusiasts. Additionally, the staff were incredibly kind and friendly, making our stay comfortable and memorable.     The meals were excellent.

    The meals were excellent. From afternoon tea to dinner and breakfast, we enjoyed everything to our heart's content. Additionally, we had drinks and nuts in the lounge, and after a bath, we could enjoy complimentary ice cream or milk with a voucher. There were also events like shooting games and lantern activities for children, which made them very happy.

    I’m glad I visited.

    Stayed here during a visit to Nachi Falls. Although we arrived early, several guests had already checked in. The check-in process was explained thoroughly, and the staff's hospitality was excellent. We were promptly guided to afternoon tea. The sweets and drinks served during afternoon tea were delightful and incredibly delicious. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax. Walking around the premises was enjoyable, with a serene atmosphere that allowed us to unwind amidst the countryside air and surrounding mountains. The Matsusaka beef served at dinner was exquisite, perfectly paired with beer or wine. Facilities like the separate lounge building and large public bath also had a wonderful ambiance. At checkout, I received an impressive gift as a Diamond Member benefit—it truly surprised me! Additionally, since I mentioned it was my birthday stay beforehand, they kindly prepared a flower basket with a message in my room—thank you so much for this thoughtful gesture! I deeply appreciated the smiles and attentiveness of all staff members throughout our stay. This is truly an accommodation that makes you feel glad you visited!

    I made a reservation...

    I made a reservation one month ago, but one week before my stay, the prices, including the highest-grade room, dropped significantly! It was during the cancellation period, so it was a bit disappointing. However, they upgraded our room by one grade! The afternoon tea was different from the photos on their website (maybe it depends on the season?). The lounge had a great selection of alcoholic drinks, delicious juices, and snacks—very satisfying! The mandarin orange juice tasted as good as a glass of juice priced around 2,000 yen at a certain French restaurant. It was rich, sweet, and delicious! The bath area offered coffee milk and ice cream! Our room was very spacious with a hammock on the balcony that delighted our kids. We enjoyed relaxing in such an open space. There were activities like shooting games, lanterns, guitar performances, treasure hunting—fun for both adults and kids! There were also other free experiences available. For dinner courses we chose Matsusaka beef with a semi-buffet option; however, I felt that the buffet had fewer items compared to other hotels. The curry was delicious though! As for breakfast—the freshly baked croissants were unbelievably tasty! So fluffy and stretchy—I want to eat them again and highly recommend trying them! With so many events packed in our stay, we had an enjoyable time! Check-out at 11 AM allowed us to relax in the morning too. Having visited various places before, this all-inclusive experience made us feel luxurious! Highly recommended for those who enjoy drinking alcohol—and also great for kids! It’s such an amazing Hotel? Ryokan? Resort that I’d love to visit again!!

    ① The buffet meals exceeded my expectations, as every dish was delicious and highly satisfying. You can feel the care put into the cooking. ② All employees and staff were very pleasant, making my stay extremely comfortable. ③ The L'Occitane amenities were not to my liking (this is just a personal opinion). ④ I noticed some soot on the ceiling in the dining area, which caught my attention. ⑤ The large public bath is exclusive to accommodation guests, allowing for a relaxing bathing experience. It would be great if it opened from 5 AM. ⑥ I participated in the free Kumano Kodo tour, and it was absolutely wonderful! I will definitely return when visiting this area again!

    This is my second stay. I reserved a different room from last time and was very satisfied. The staff provided clear and polite explanations with great smiles. Thank you for accommodating my requests willingly. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay here again on my next trip.

    So-called All-Inclusive

    Positive aspects: Spacious room (Detached Royal Suite), large public bath (spacious and almost private), challenging to move around. Negative aspects: All meals, crowded lounge with no availability, limited room drinks. I stayed for one night under the "Detached Royal Suite with Matsusaka Beef Steak Half Buffet" plan. My overall impression was that "the meals were very disappointing." Afternoon tea, breakfast, and dinner all felt cost-cutting, and there was hardly anything I could say was delicious. Moreover, during certain times, many dishes were out of stock and not replenished. The half buffet venue was small with time restrictions, making it difficult to enjoy a relaxed meal. After dinner, I went to the lounge but couldn't get in as it was full (only five tables available). It felt like a first-come-first-served situation without any guidance from staff. As for room drinks, only one bottle each of water, tea, and beer per guest were provided in the refrigerator (coffee was available separately). Calling this all-inclusive seems a bit much; satisfaction relative to cost was low. Improvements in meals are necessary along with creating a system where guests can relax in their rooms with drinks if the lounge is too small. The spaciousness of the room feels wasted otherwise. As it stands now, I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to friends nor would I consider returning myself.

    Draft beer and dried fish in the lounge after a bath—simply the best!

    A couple in their 60s stayed on a weekday and found the atmosphere pleasantly lively but not overly crowded. The previous week, they stayed at the Kyoto Hilton and enjoyed cherry blossom viewing at Daigoji Temple, but were overwhelmed by the number of foreign tourists. However, here they appreciated the gathering of young families and couples of similar age, along with their fashionable appearances. **Highlights:** 1. The combination of draft beer and dried fish in the post-bath lounge was exceptional. While waiting for his wife, enjoying a cold beer outside the lounge to cool down after a bath was pure bliss. The lightly grilled dried fish paired with an evening view created an extraordinary experience that felt far removed from daily life. 2. On their return trip via shuttle service, the driver suggested taking a route through "Shishi-iwa" (Lion Rock) to Kumano City Station. With guidance from the driver, they were able to enjoy sights including "Shichiri Mihama," part of a World Heritage site. **Minor Disappointments:** 1. The safety razor provided among bathroom amenities had only two blades, which required careful use to avoid slipping while shaving. Although it’s disposable and understandable to some extent, even budget hotels like APA Hotel now provide three-blade razors (apologies if this comparison is unfair). 2. The sliding door separating the indoor bath from the open-air bath in the shared bathing area did not close automatically as expected. They assumed it would be semi-automatic but often found it left open due to oversight. Overall evaluation: Excellent! They hope to visit again during fireworks season if given another opportunity!

    Birthday Celebration

    We went on a trip to celebrate my mother's birthday. Since it was cherry blossom season, we enjoyed viewing the blossoms along the way, and there were also beautiful cherry trees blooming at Kumano Club. In our room, there was a lovely flower gift along with a "Happy Birthday" message card, which made my mother very happy. The room had an open-air bath and even a hammock where we could enjoy the stunning outdoor view—it was perfect. The property is spacious, and although we were informed during check-in that cars could be called 24/7 for transportation within the premises, we chose to walk everywhere since the weather was nice. My mother is elderly but energetic; she enjoyed strolling to places like the dining area, Onsen baths, and lounge while admiring the scenery and flowers along the way. Upon arrival, we relaxed with afternoon tea featuring elegant sweets and tea while having delightful conversations. The Onsen baths and open-air baths were clean and provided a relaxing experience; they even offered local milk or coffee milk after bathing as part of their service—such a nice touch! For dinner, we opted for the buffet where we could enjoy small portions of various dishes—all of which were delicious. One minor disappointment was that it got quite dark at night due to insufficient lighting in some areas. We noticed some guests carrying lanterns; upon checking with reception staff, they explained that certain rooms had them while others did not due to repairs in progress. It would have been helpful if this information had been shared during check-in. All staff members were kind and exceptional in their service—we truly appreciated it! Next time, I hope to visit again with my entire family—thank you so much. On our way back home, we visited nearby attractions such as Onigajo (Demon’s Castle) and Maruyama Senmaida (terraced rice fields), making for an enjoyable sightseeing experience as well!

    In no time

    The all-inclusive experience allowed us to enjoy various optional activities without worry, making the time fly by. The food was delicious and enjoyable. We used to visit frequently when it first opened, but after a long break, we were pleased to see new improvements that enhanced our stay. It was also highly satisfying as a trip during the cherry blossom season. However, accessing the Onsen public bath requires walking outside, which can be unpleasant in rainy or cold weather—better suited for those who don't mind braving the elements. It's not an ideal choice when inviting older generations like parents.

    At the very last moment...

    The stay was very satisfying. The room was lovely, the meals were delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bath. I also indulged in the open-air bath attached to the room. After bathing, I used the lounge and even listened to live music. I participated in my long-awaited Kumano Kodo Matsumoto Pass tour. The guide's explanations were excellent, and in the afternoon, we visited Onigajo and Hana-no-Iwaya Shrine as well. On the final day at checkout, my pedometer showed over 15,000 steps achieved; however, due to shuttle service timing and having already shopped for souvenirs the previous day, I couldn't use it... leaving me with a sense of disappointment. It was truly unfortunate. It would have been better if there had been more explanation during check-in or if it could be used anytime during our stay so that there wouldn't be such disappointment right before leaving. For future guests staying here, I recommend shopping for souvenirs after checking out!

    I had a very comfortable stay.

    This trip was with my mother, who has some difficulty walking, but we were provided with a wheelchair and a dining table near the entrance. Although I only mentioned the wheelchair during the reservation, they were very considerate in many ways, making our stay very comfortable. The property is spacious and well-maintained, and the view from the room was stunning. There were limited seats in the lounge; having more seating would have been appreciated. Each room is given a pedometer, which delighted the children as they enjoyed walking around—it was great for exercise! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, allowing us to feel at ease throughout our stay.

    Finally, I had the chance to visit Kumano Club, a place I had always wanted to go! The welcome sweets were delightful, and then I headed to my Room. My Room was Seiryu, but unfortunately, the outdoor kama-style bath on the veranda was too small to use. Even using it as a footbath or sitting down was difficult, so I couldn't enjoy it. Dinner was a half-buffet style; while I think a course meal would have been more satisfying, the buffet left me slightly disappointed. As for the evening sweets, since the welcome sweets were excellent during check-in, my expectations were high; however, there were fewer options at night compared to daytime and they weren't as tasty. I also hoped to enjoy stargazing by the fire at the bar in the evening but couldn’t see any stars due to clouds. On a positive note, my Room was very comfortable with L'Occitane amenities that lifted my spirits! Breakfast took place in the same venue as dinner. Considering how spacious this property is overall, it would be nice if different areas could be utilized for meals. At checkout time came another pleasant surprise: we used pedometers handed out during check-in and achieved our step goal! This earned us wonderful souvenirs along with vouchers usable at their gift shop—such thoughtful touches made me very happy. While there were minor points of improvement here & there overall experience left satisfied thinking worth visiting once lifetime indeed!

    Sense of Room Amenities

    The room is wonderful. The trash bin is cute, and the glasses are lovely. The open-air bath is also very comfortable. However, the sound of opening and closing the toilet door was a bit bothersome. The staff are kind and friendly, and at the restaurant, a staff member from Guam shared some cooking tips with us, which made for an enjoyable conversation! During checkout, when I stepped outside with my luggage, the bus driver kindly offered to take me to the front desk—it was very helpful! The meals were delicious; however, I wish there were more options at the buffet. The lounge area was spacious and relaxing.

    Upon arrival, we were almost too late for the afternoon tea last order, but the staff kindly suggested, "Please enjoy your afternoon tea first before checking in." Thanks to their thoughtfulness, we managed to enjoy it just in time. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style. However, two points caught our attention: 1. Some tables and chairs in the venue were wobbly. 2. We were advised to enter during the last breakfast time slot at 9:00 AM as it was less crowded. Unfortunately, croissants ran out midway and weren’t replenished (which was disappointing because they were delicious). Additionally, sauces and desserts weren’t restocked either, leaving us puzzled. Isn’t the charm of a buffet being able to select from all options regardless of timing?

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate a family member's birthday. Upon entering the room, we were delighted to find a bouquet of flowers as a birthday celebration, which made our family very happy. We truly appreciate such thoughtful attention. We also enjoyed the meals, including afternoon tea, dinner, and time in the lounge. The afternoon tea offered a wide variety of options such as sweets, alcohol, and curry dishes. The Matsusaka beef served at dinner was also delicious. The open-air bath in the room was very relaxing and enjoyable. One disappointing aspect was that children were running around in the dining area without any staff intervention or cautioning them. While it may be difficult to completely prevent children from running around, this was an unfortunate point for us. Considering that the accommodation fee is not inexpensive, addressing this issue would likely provide peace of mind for other guests as well.

    The IKYU Diamond benefits included an amazing souvenir. All the staff were smiling, making it a perfect resort destination. From check-in to check-out, we enjoyed drinks as part of the fantastic all-inclusive experience. It was a bit disappointing that the late-night snacks like Mehari sushi and mackerel sushi were no longer available, but I will definitely visit again!

    A luxury accommodation for adults, aimed at providing a relaxing and soothing experience, but it was very disappointing despite traveling from afar. I had high expectations based on the reviews. Without any discounts, it costs 50,000 yen per person. It was unexpected to see many families and groups visiting. Overall, this is a noisy accommodation. **Good Points** - Most staff provided polite service with smiles (except for a few). - Spacious rooms are available even for solo travelers. - The drink service during dinner was attentive with no waiting time. - The seating offered a lovely view of the outdoor lights. **Bad Points** - Despite arriving by shuttle service and checking in at 1:30 PM, the only available dinner time was 5:30 PM. - The cushion cover in the room was dirty, which was disappointing. - The open-air bath is surrounded by walls; you need to stand up to see the mountain scenery outside. - The large public bath did not provide any noticeable onsen qualities in its water texture or feel. - Dinner featured Matsusaka beef and Ise lobster kaiseki cuisine as highlights; however, there was only one small piece of Ise lobster and tough Matsusaka beef meat. - During what should have been a quiet dinner experience, neighboring guests kept shaking pedometers provided by the accommodation noisily without intervention from staff until I requested them to stop. - "Yasuragi no Za" bar time promised Kumano specialty sushi but had discontinued this service over a year ago. - At lunchtime earlier that day, about ten family members occupied central tables loudly enough that we avoided using the space altogether Breakfast venue corridors felt cramped while both employees/customers moved around constantly creating an unsettling dining atmosphere where children ran unchecked resembling chaotic family restaurant vibes

    This was my first time staying here. Although it is all-inclusive, as a mother and daughter who don't drink alcohol, we initially thought it might not be very beneficial for us. However, we were delighted by the other hospitality provided and left satisfied. We had signed up for the Iseji Walking Tour and were looking forward to it, but unfortunately, it was canceled due to rain. The Onsen uses transported water, and the view from the open-air bath cannot be seen at all while soaking in the tub, so I rated this part a 3. Overall though, I was very satisfied and would love to visit again if given the chance.

    We returned because our children loved it. It was a bit disappointing that the Room's bath was not an Onsen and the inside of the humidifier was quite dirty. The treasure box game was enjoyable for the kids, and the staff were kind and wonderful.
