    It was an excellent Accommodation in every way—except for the cleaning staff.

    Except for the housekeeping, the meals, service, and views were all excellent, and overall it was an Accommodation with a very high level of satisfaction. However, I was disappointed with the housekeeping. During cleaning on the second night, they opened the door about 30 minutes earlier than the time we had requested, without knocking. They also waited outside, which made me feel rushed and uncomfortable. Also, at checkout on the third day, they similarly opened the door about 30 minutes before checkout time; when they saw we were still in the room, they closed it without saying anything. I felt there was a significant lack of consideration regarding housekeeping, but otherwise it was very comfortable and we were able to enjoy a relaxing stay overall. I hesitated to write this because everything else was so good, but I’m sharing it in hopes that things will improve even further in the future.

    An Accommodation with Stunning Views and Beauty

    This is a Hotel with exceptional hospitality. Unlike many Hotels in the great outdoors, you won’t see any dead leaves, insects, or cobwebs at all. The maintenance is outstanding. The Room has always been thoroughly cleaned and beautiful, even since before COVID. The staff are always smiling, and the service is excellent—truly wonderful. All the food is delicious, and you can keep drinking beer nonstop lol. If I had to mention one thing, I’d prefer a classic curry with a bit more spice. Thank you for a lovely time.

    Fully Enjoy Kumano Time

    I stayed with my mother. From the warm welcome at the station for the Shuttle Service bus, to every member of staff at the Facility, everyone was kind and helpful. Thank you very much. The Room felt warm with Kumano cedar throughout, and it was barrier-free, which gave us peace of mind. There was even a log-style chair in the elevator, which my mother loved. We were lucky with the weather, and it was pleasant to walk to the Onsen and restaurant. The pedometer idea was also great—it made walking fun. We felt genuine hospitality in many little ways, which made our stay very comfortable. Before breakfast, we were moved to see the sunrise rising over the Kumano-nada Sea. It was a wonderful “Kumano time” experience and a truly relaxing holiday. I would love to stay again in a different season.

    It was a memorable trip.

    We stayed here to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. After check-in, we enjoyed the afternoon tea we had been looking forward to. There were cakes, soup, and curry rice, and the drinks included coffee and alcohol, so we were able to relax and take our time. There is a Shuttle Service to the Room, but the front desk handed us a pedometer, so we walked to our Room instead. At check-out, we were told we could receive a souvenir based on our step count, and this time we received some sweets. Dinner was a kaiseki meal. Not only was it delicious, but the presentation had a three-dimensional beauty that reminded us of ikebana. Many Accommodations pay attention to their tableware, but this was the first time we had seen dishes plated so beautifully—we were truly impressed. Since this was an anniversary trip, after dinner we were treated to cake, a flower basket arrangement, and champagne, making it an unforgettable meal. We had the cake in our Room; the cream was light yet satisfying, and even for us as older guests it was easy on the stomach and very enjoyable. The staff at the front desk, dining area, and Shuttle Service were all kind and welcoming with warm smiles. We are truly glad we chose this Accommodation for such a special occasion. We hope to visit again in summer. Thank you for making our anniversary so wonderful.

    Kumano Club is amazing!

    Second stay at the accommodation, this time at the detached Shingetsuan. The afternoon tea was delicious, and I was very satisfied with the lounge's selection of drinks and snacks. For dinner, I enjoyed the "Mikaku Kaiseki" course both times. The presentation, flavors, and Noritake tableware were all exceptional. Creative Kaiseki remains my favorite for dinner—thank you for the wonderful meal! It was a bit disappointing that there wasn’t live music in the lounge this time. I hope to visit on a Saturday next time to experience it. I participated in stargazing and got to see many beautiful stars—it was truly breathtaking. Although it’s a bit far from Osaka, I’m already planning my third stay here. Thank you very much!

    First New Year's Trip

    Happy New Year! This was our first New Year's trip in 60 years. With five family members, I started to feel that traveling together might become difficult in the future, so we decided to skip the usual quiet New Year's at home and planned a trip instead. We chose Kumano, which is about an 8-hour drive from Tokyo by car. Since there were five adults, we opted for driving to save on transportation costs. I really wanted to visit this Hotel and convinced my family to come along. Although it was far, the time spent together in the car as a family was enjoyable. It was reassuring that everyone could take turns driving. The Hotel itself was wonderful; our children got along well with the restaurant staff and seemed to have a great time. The Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route was also beautiful—a fantastic way to start 2026! The only regret is that we missed out on afternoon tea due to all our outings here and there. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Thank you for an amazing trip.

    We stayed here to celebrate my mother-in-law's 70th birthday. Although we may have only experienced a small part of the all-inclusive concept, we felt its charm at Kumano Club. We arrived slightly earlier than the check-in time and enjoyed afternoon tea. My family indulged in sweets, while I appreciated beer paired with unique soups, which was considerate for those who don't eat sweets. After that, although participation was limited, we enjoyed activities like a local sake workshop and an exploration program for children without getting bored. Once these were over, we relaxed in the spacious public bath that wasn’t too crowded—time flew by until dinner. For this special occasion, dinner was served at the restaurant where we savored local ingredients paired with sake brands introduced during the workshop. The staff provided natural yet enthusiastic service that made us feel truly happy and comfortable throughout our stay. Even after dinner, there were various events lined up; before we knew it, it was well past bedtime for our youngest child! Until now, there haven’t been many accommodations where I thought "I’d love to come back," but Kumano Club is one place I genuinely hope to visit again in the near future. The next day, although it required some travel time, we visited Kumano’s power spots such as Tamaki Shrine and Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine to pray for blessings for next year—making this trip absolutely perfect. Lastly, after our stay I checked reviews online. While there were some negative reviews mentioned by others previously, I noticed several points had already been improved upon! It’s clear that efforts are being made based on feedback—it left me feeling warm-hearted and impressed. I sincerely look forward to visiting again someday soon! Keep up the great work!     A Fun Trip for a Family of Four

    The stay was truly relaxing and soothing. The Room for four people was more spacious and comfortable than expected. Dinner was served at a good pace, and we were very satisfied with the delicious food and drinks. It was our third visit, but we were lucky to see the starry sky for the first time. Although the large terrace jacuzzi seemed a bit embarrassing for us ladies to use, our husbands enjoyed it thoroughly. If there were bathing suits available, everyone could enjoy it together even more! We will definitely visit again!

    Girls' Trip for 4

    I decided to stay here after hearing great reviews from my brother, who is a repeat guest. The all-inclusive service, including drinks and the bar, allowed for a luxurious experience. Most notably, the meals—afternoon tea, kaiseki dinner, and breakfast buffet—were all incredibly delicious and made excellent use of local specialties from Kumano. However, I was slightly disappointed that the futon provided for four people was only one layer thick, which felt uncomfortable at times. Additionally, the bath area’s window wasn’t adjusted according to the weather and it felt very cold. Overall, it was an accommodation I would love to visit again!

    The atmosphere was pleasant. It was disappointing that the private open-air bath in the room was not an Onsen. I was also disappointed that the futon in the room was not prepared for us.

    An Accommodation You'll Want to Visit Again

    Second stay following last year. The friendly atmosphere and warmth of the staff made for a very enjoyable experience. The quality of the food is excellent and offers great value for money. Being able to relax in loungewear within the premises is also appreciated. My husband and I are already talking about visiting again someday.

    Good.

    I went on a trip with my son and another male companion. Since there were three of us staying, there were only two beds, so one person had to sleep on a futon, which seemed a bit firm. However, everything else was excellent. The food and service were impeccable, making it a wonderful trip. Thank you very much!

    Not satisfactory.

    The Room was clean and the Facility was well-equipped, providing a relaxing space. However, it felt underwhelming for the price paid, possibly due to high expectations. There were many insects (stink bugs and small bugs), which might be due to seasonal or structural issues of the building. While it's understandable that lights attract insects at night when going for meals or baths, there were simply too many. The smell of stink bugs was also noticeable. Insects were present in the dining area and floating in the open-air bath as well. This might be unavoidable but disappointing considering the price. The half-buffet offered fewer options than expected, and without adding meat dishes, there seemed to be very limited choices available. There wasn’t anything particularly memorable or delicious about the food either. On a positive note, alcohol and drink selections were abundant. It may be worth considering some improvements moving forward... I don’t think I will use this place again.

    All-Inclusive Appeal

    Free alcohol and snacks are available, making it especially recommended for those who enjoy drinking! You won't go hungry. A variety of unique soft drinks are also provided. However, since each facility is in a separate building, you'll need to walk quite a bit—this can be both good and bad. Pedometers are available for rent at check-in, and you can receive souvenirs based on your step count—a fun service! A shuttle service with circulating wagons is also available; just one phone call will bring the shuttle to you. If the wagon happens to be empty, they may even ask if you'd like a ride. On clear nights, there’s an astronomy show hosted by a star sommelier where you can view the Milky Way through telescopes. Overall, this was an excellent accommodation!

    Suddenly

    I usually reserve a month in advance, but this time my original plan fell through, and luckily, a cancellation came up the night before, allowing me to secure the Kaiseki Plan. The meals at Koku are always delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful, and I deeply appreciate the hospitality of all the staff. It’s so relaxing that time seems to flow gently here, making it my go-to place whenever I feel tired. I look forward to visiting again in full autumn season.

    The Best Birthday Ever!

    Choosing Kumano Club for a birthday trip was absolutely the right decision. Upon arrival, we enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea to our heart's content, and though we worried about having room for dinner, the carefully crafted dishes made with local ingredients were incredibly delicious. The staff provided detailed explanations of each dish, allowing us to have a truly wonderful time. Thank you so much! However... The only downside was that the pillow didn't suit me!

    On the way back from Nachi Taisha

    Stayed at the accommodation on the way back from Nachi Taisha to Nagoya. Initially booked a Superior Suite with Open-Air Bath [Seiryu] and Matsusaka Beef Steak Buffet, but changed dinner to a Gourmet Kaiseki Course. Before entering the room, enjoyed welcome sweets and wine at Chisoan, as well as sake at Yasuragi no Za, then moved to the [Seiryu] room right next door. The outdoor pot bath on the balcony was too small, so only tried it briefly before giving up. Ended up taking a quick shower in the indoor bath instead. After a short nap, headed to the dinner venue (Ryotei Koku) around 6 PM. The venue had spacious seating with a calm atmosphere, making for an enjoyable dining experience. The locally sourced dishes were both visually appealing and delicious! Since it was summer vacation season and there were many families around, switching from buffet to kaiseki was definitely the right choice. In the morning, went from the large communal bath directly to breakfast. It would have been perfect if the baths were onsen water! The facilities are spread out across different areas, so moving around in extreme heat was challenging. Although it's not an easily accessible location due to its remoteness, it became a wonderful memory!

    Excellent service

    Leave your luggage before check-in and enjoy a relaxing time at the café with sweets and drinks. After check-in, your luggage will be delivered to your room, allowing you to move around freely. The large public bath was not crowded, so you could take your time and relax. The meals were delicious, especially the roast beef! At the café, during meals, and at the bar, unlimited drinks were available—such excellent service! It was an accommodation where you could truly unwind. It would have been even better if the private open-air bath in the room had Onsen water!

    Simply outstanding.

    The Room's elegance is beyond words—simply outstanding. Not only the amenities and spaciousness of the Room, but also the attentive service throughout left a lasting impression. The property is vast, requiring bus transportation, but buses arrive promptly upon request—no complaints at all. The cuisine is exceptional. A variety of experience events are also available, making it hard to enjoy everything in just one stay.

    Hmm, a bit pricey!

    The initial impression was that 80,000 yen per person for a group of four is too expensive... Overall, we enjoyed our stay but feel there is room for improvement. - The check-in process felt like lining up at a campsite, which dampened the mood right from the start. - Shuttle Service during rainy weather was inconvenient as the bus didn’t park close enough, causing us to get wet. The dining area is also too far away. - For the best Room category, it would be nice if luggage assistance were provided. - The open-air bath in the Room could use an option to fill water from above instead of just heating it up; also, while labeled as "open-air," it’s more semi-open with no view to enjoy. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, so without considering the price point, we might have been satisfied. Perhaps it's understandable due to peak season during Obon... For those unconcerned about pricing, this place can be enjoyable—especially suitable for families with children!

    The Essence of Service

    The check-in process felt very automatic and rushed. I was particularly surprised when told, "Late dining slots are already full. Well, it's first come, first served." Additionally, I was informed of various things like "〇〇 is not possible," "〇〇 needs to be done by the guests," and "We don't have boys' yukata in this size at the front desk right now. Please stop by the public bath on your way to your Room and take it yourself." These instructions left me feeling confused. I strongly felt that the balance between busyness and service seemed to lean heavily towards prioritizing busyness. One thing I appreciated was that since the Room, front desk, public bath, and dining area are far apart, a bus or van promptly arrived when called to transport us. My thanks go to the driver for their assistance.

    Highly Satisfied!

    I made a reservation the day before to experience rafting. The afternoon tea had a wide variety and was very delicious. Dinner offered so many options that I couldn't finish everything, and each dish was incredibly tasty. During the stargazing session, we were given an easy-to-understand explanation of summer constellations. We also got to see the moon through a telescope, clearly observing its craters. By chance, we saw the Lunar X, which was truly moving. We enjoyed handheld fireworks and relaxed in the lounge afterward. The onsen with tatami flooring left me deeply impressed as well. Every moment became a wonderful experience and memory—absolutely amazing!

    Afternoon tea from 2 PM offered not only sweets but also savory snacks, along with delicious alcoholic beverages. The half-buffet dinner had an abundant selection, and the Matsusaka beef steak was particularly delightful. While I initially thought it was an accommodation geared towards adults, there were many families with children enjoying nature, and the smiles of the children were memorable. This time we stayed as a couple, but next time we would love to bring our grandchildren along.

    Would love to visit again.

    The noise from the room's ventilation fan is quite noticeable, but everything else was perfect. After checking in, our luggage was sent to the room, and we immediately headed to the bar to enjoy a cold beer and the scenery—it felt like heaven.

    Not a Hotel

    When I arrived, I was surprised by the unique setup of the accommodation. All rooms being separate buildings was unexpected. Since it was extremely hot, opening the room's entrance door let in a wave of heat, which was surprising. It might be better to leave the living room door open so that air conditioning can also cool the entrance and washroom areas. It was disappointing not to be able to have meals at my preferred time. Outside of summer, it's manageable to walk 10 minutes to reach the large bath, dining hall, or front desk; however, during peak summer heat, relying on a shuttle bus is necessary... Overall, opinions about this accommodation may vary depending on personal preferences. The absence of insects made me feel that it is well-maintained and managed properly.

    We stayed here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We arrived early and enjoyed afternoon tea while waiting for our Room to be prepared. Upon entering the Room, we were pleasantly surprised by the flowers that had been arranged for us—it made us very happy. The dinner was delicious, and since all drinks were included in the price, settling the bill was easy and convenient. We also participated in a stargazing event, which was well-explained and made for an enjoyable experience. We look forward to staying here again!
